Hiccup and Astrid don't care much for all these forced Christmas feelings during the last month of the year. But even though Astrid was already annoyed by seeing all the festive chocolates in the supermarkets in August, this year, she's looking very forward to December. Because Hiccup got them a special advent calendar, and she can't wait to open all those promising little boxes.

The Riders' third attempted rescue is when Astrid finally manages to slip by, finding him in the dungeons in a state she hadn't expected. But he was fine, in fact, Hiccup had never felt better, considering the drug that made him drunk, also making Astrid's rescue mission so complex!

When the dragons leave again for Dragon Island, just before Berk's biggest holiday, Hiccup and his friends find a way to pass the time until they return, in the form of a new game. However, though it helps them not to dwell on how much they miss their dragons, it also causes all sorts of craziness and shenanigans, much to the confusion of everyone else on Berk.
