They sat around the table that night, as a family, talking and learning about one another not under the pretense of blood. She and Severus were in a heated debate about a new approach to Wolfsbane when the conversations around them ceased while Tom looked at them, thoughtful. He thought for a moment before sending his thoughts to Severus and Calliope.

"Would you like a marriage contract"

They both blushed, anxious about what the other would say, Severus was the first to respond.

"If she'll have me and there are no objections from you or our family, I'd love that," he faced Calliope, holding his hand out for hers, "I have never been able to speak, or act on it, but you are a wonder, someone truly amazing who matches me in every way. Would you have me in a formal courtship?"

Her eyes filled with tears as he spoke, she finally felt at home, with her true family.

"I'd be honored, Severus. Are you sure Daddy, Uncle Lu, Auntie Cissa?"

Cissa merely nodded, a huge smile on her face, Lucius seemed shocked that she'd fall into place this quickly, but acquiesced he approval. Tom thought for a moment, knowing this was right for all of them, he nodded and flicked his wrist, a contract floated through the air, signed and ready to go. Draco leaned his head on her shoulder and whispered, "Thank you, Aunt Calliope". She kissed his head, then Severus' cheek, agreeing to go for a walk in the gardens after desert.

After dinner, Uncle Lu escorted her to Severus' waiting arms. He embraced her, then offered his arm for their walk.

"Calliope, I wish to apologize for everything, you've been kind to me and I turned you away and berated you in such a major that is unfit for my personality. Could you ever forgive me?"

"Of course Severus, I honestly never blamed you for your course of action, I knew that I could never belong to you because of what I thought my blood was, but now I have you."

They were sitting on a bench in the Rose garden, he touched her face softly, before asking to kiss her. Her response was her closing her eyes and moving towards him, their lips met, a feeling of love and an insurmountable amount of sexual attraction flitted in. Their kiss deepens, neither unable to let the other go, when Sparks flowed down on the Malfoy ward dome above them. He hugged her close and apparated them back into the manor, where The Dark Lord called his Death Eaters.

The gathered Death Eaters all came bearing gifts for Calliope, but she'd open them later. While her father allowed the Rumors of Horcruxes to spread, it was not all correct. He had three, all of which were in the manor; The Potter brat certainly not one, he had checked, several times. Dumbledore has always been a power-crazed, money-hungry fool, it was time to reign in the amount of knowledge that muggles knew, there were to be stipulations and such in place.

"I know this might seem like a bad time, but I wish to see the memories of the night that mummy was killed, please," Calliope asked, nervous for a reaction.

"Of course, Lu could you get us a Pensieve, I think Sev needs to see this too."

They both placed their heads in the bowl, watching as Bellatrix caused the downfall of her parents, though inadvertently, she was seduced by Sirius disguised as someone else, and he tricked her. Calliope made a mental note to kill the wretch but continued to watch the horrid scenes before her. Severus reached for her hand as she was born and taken to be checked, or at least that's what they were told. The nurse, was Molly Weasley in disguise, with Lily as her assistant. Calliope could feel her anger growing, but she kept seeking comfort in Severus. She was forming a plan in her head as she was watching, she wanted to inflict as much pain as possible. As Calliope was whisked away by the two witches, Sirius, Dumbledore, and James all appeared in the room. Tom struggled, and when James and Sirius both cast an Avada towards Illyria, Tom, in a blind rage, started firing curses, the order fled, with Tom vowing to get revenge.

Now Calliope understood why the Order was nervous, she obviously knew the story of the night the Potters were killed, from their point of view, but not her Father's. The memory was included, apparently as they were thrust into that night. Her father sought revenge, Lily felt awful about what she had done, but had no idea where Calliope was, devastated, Voldemort killed her and James, though there was no scar on Harry. As Voldemort left, the view changed to Severus', watching as he blamed Dumbledore for everything, he cast the killing curse at him. Calliope grabbed his hand, her heart sank at the thought. Severus was able to deflect the curse, inadvertently causing it to hit Harry, but he didn't die, no he instead became The-boy-who-lived and a pawn for Dumbledore.

As they were coming out of the memories, she solidified her plans. She immediately went to her father offering support and comfort, then returned to Severus, giving him a kiss to rival their first. She transfigured her outfit into something more battle-ready and borrowed some Dragonhide boots from her Aunt.

"I have a plan and I'd like for everyone to trust me on it," Calliope stated, anxious that disapproval was coming.

The Death Eaters bowed in support, Severus laced his fingers with hers, her family simply nodded and Voldemort readily agreed.

As they made their way to the front yard, Dumbledore and his band of morally reprehensible halfwits lined the front. Calliope stood in front, next to her father, while she glanced at those in front of her, Ron looked angry as did Molly and Arthur. Dumbledore was turning a lovely shade of puce and when she looked at Harry, he seemed confused and thoughtful. She reached her mind to his to see anger but concern and definitely confusion flitted around. She sent the pensive memories to him, with a message that he could stand on their side without consequence.

Calliope moved forward, casting a barrier over herself and her family, and she began part two of her plan.
