Chapter 102 You can call me Mr. Huntzburger

Logan didn't get a chance to talk with Ricky Sunday afternoon. He was too aggravated with the Shira situation. He told Rory he would talk with him Monday at the office. He told her he would address the boys calling him daddy and the Karson situation. Logan was up before anyone else. He left for the office before anyone in the house was awake. He left Rory a note that he would call her and would try not to be too late tonight.

When everyone started arriving at the office, Logan sent a note to the mailroom to have Ricky come to his office when he arrived. It wasn't too long after that, Ricky appeared at his door. "Hey, you wanted me to come see you?" Ricky asked. "Yeah, come on in." Ricky walked in and had a seat. "I've got two things to talk with you about. I'll start with the easiest…..I know you heard the boys call me daddy, we did not ask them to do that. This is something they just started doing. Rory thought that after Em was born, they would probably slip up now and again. I just want you to know, I am honored for them to call me daddy. Rory and I don't want you to be uncomfortable with it. We want you to talk to us about it. Either me or Rory." Ricky nodded his head. "Yeah, I heard. Didn't say anything, don't want to confuse the boys. I want to talk to them about our dad, but I understand that they are young. With Em on the way, I think this is the best thing for everyone." Logan was relieved. He likes being called daddy by the twins. He would like to adopt them after Em is born. He would talk with Rory and Ricky about it later.

Ricky swallowed. He was sure he knew what the next thing Logan wanted to talk to him about. n" You said you had two things," Ricky asked. Logan was brought out of his thoughts. "Yeah, We say Karson standing in your kitchen yesterday morning in your shirt." Ricky was too busy staring at his shoes to see the smirk on Logan's face. "Ricky, look at me." Ricky looked up at Logan. "I am not too old to remember what it was like at 20 years old. Did you know I was just a little older than you when I met Rory?" "I know you met her at Yale, '' Logan nodded. "I am not trying to pry into your love life. But, I am here to talk if you want. I would prefer the boys do not see you leaving her room or her leaving the pool house. I don't want them asking questions. Not yet…..Ricky this next part is something that my dad drilled in my head. I am not talking about Karson. But there will be girls that are just out to cough a guy like you. You have two strikes against you. You have a lot of money, and you have connections. Always use a condom. Even if she tells you she is on birth control. Someday, I'll take you out for a beer, tell you about some of the encounters I have had in the past. Money will make anyone do crazy things. Rory and I just want to protect you. I assume at 20 years old, your dad talked to you about the birds and the bees?" Ricky nodded his head. Boy was this uncomfortable. "I think you and Karson should talk. I think you both need to be aware that whatever happens between you two, you are both a part of this family and will have to interact with each other regardless of your relationship." Ricky cleared his throat. "Yes sir, we have talked about it. We will continue to talk about it." "Good. encourage Karson to talk with Rory." Ricky nodded. Logan, thinking this went better than he expected, was about to stand up, when Ricky cleared his throat. Logan sat back down and looked at Ricky. "I want to talk about the twins calling you daddy." Logan tried to keep his face neutral, He so wished this was not a problem for Ricky. His heart swelled 100 times larger when he heard them say, daddy. "Do you think it would be weird if I called you Dad? I think I'm too old to call you daddy, but if it is okay with you, I would like to call you dad.`` Before Logan knew what happened, he stood up and hugged Ricky. Logan had tears in his eyes. "I would be honored. What do you think your Aunt Ronnie would say?" Ricky shrugged his shoulders "It's not like I am changing my name." Ricky said, Logan, laughed. "All right, that is settled. Logan and Ricky were smiling. Logan was thinking just as soon as Ricky goes back to the mailroom, her was calling Rory to tell her about this,

Logan was walking Ricky out When John hung up the phone. "Logan," John said, getting his attention. "I just got a call from Renea, Shira and a tall male are on their way up. Renea said he looked like a lawyer." Logan turned to Ricky, "I know my day was going too good to be true. I gotta take care of this, I will see you at home." He told Ricky and patted him on the shoulder. "John, call Josh, see if he can get here pretty quick. Have them take a seat in my office, keep an eye on them. I'm stepping down the hall. I am going to need Josh in there to keep me from killing her if she doesn't sign the contract." Logan said as he walked in the opposite direction of the elevators. Logan went into a conference room and grabbed a phone. He left his laying on his desk. He would learn to get better at putting it in his pocket. He called Dillon's office, told his secretary that it was important that Dillon come to his office. Logan was debating on calling Rory but decided she would think something was wrong and worry. He looked at his watch. It is time. He left the room and started down the hall.

Logan stopped at John's desk. He looked around, trying to find him when he came out of Logan's office. "She ordered me to get them coffee," John said. "Josh is on his way" Logan nodded, "So is Dillon. Send him in when he gets here." Logan said. Also, Call Security. Have them on this floor. Got a bad feeling. Probably just my guilt. I'm not being awarded the son of the year award." Logan said.

He waited another 3 minutes, then he heard the elevator. Josh and one of the security guards stepped off the elevator. John went to talk to the security guard when Josh stepped toward Logan's office. Logan was just entering his office when he saw Josh. He stopped at the door, waiting for Josh to catch up. Before Josh made it to Logan's office door, Dillon came up the other hall. Logan looked at the two men before entering his office.

Shira and the man had been talking. Logan could hear it from his door. They stopped when the three men walked in. Shira stood up. "Logan sweetheart, we are sorry to interrupt, but you said last night for me to just come in." Logan turned around like he didn't realize they were in his office. "Shira, I assumed you had the manners to call before you came. But you know what they say about assuming." "No, son I guess I don't. Tell me." Logan looked at her like she had two heads. "It will be more comfortable at the table. Let's all have a seat." Logan waved toward the small conference table in the room. Josh and Dillon headed toward the table as did the man that was with Shira. "Logan, dear, I was hoping to talk with you alone." Logan was sitting down at the head of the table. "I was hoping for a decent human being as a mother, guess we both lucked out," Logan said under his breath, but he was sure Shira heard him. "What was that Son, I'm sorry I couldn't hear what you said," Shira asked. "Nothing, Shira. Have a seat. You know Josh and this is Dillon. They will be staying. Would you like to introduce your gentleman friend?" "This is Mr. Bradley Allen," Shira said. Logan waited for her to tell him that he was her lawyer, but she said nothing else.

Logan took his time looking at each person sitting at the table. While he was doing that John entered the office with several bottles of water. He sat them on the table and asked "Logan, is there anything else you need?" Before Logan could speak, Shita piped up. "I'll take a refill of coffee." Logan looked at her, then looked at John. "No, the water is fine. Just hold my calls." John nodded and left the office, closing the door.

Shira was watching Logan. She decided to ignore the fact that she had just been ignored. "Shira, Mr. Allen, You have called this meeting. I am assuming. There's that word again, that you are here to sign the contract?" "Logan" Mr. Allen started. "Excuse me," Logan said. I am afraid I did not make an introduction. Mr. Bradley Allen, this is my brother-in-law and lawyer representing our family Josh Chase, and this Mr. Allen is Dillon. That's all you need to know about him. I am sure you know who I am, but just in case. I am Logan Huntzburger CEO of HPG." Logan stood up and offered his hand to Bradley. When he took it and shook it. "You can call me Mr. Hunztburger." Logan sat back down. Not looking at Josh or Dillon, he knew if he did, he would lose it. It was talking all he could do not to laugh in this man's face.

"Go ahead Mr. Allen, I interrupted. My apologies." Mr. Allen handed Josh and Logan a set of papers. "I have looked over the contract you asked Your mother to sign." Logan cut him off. "You can refer to as Shira in my presents," Logan said, then nodded for him to continue. "After discussing the contract with Ms. Shira, this is a counter contract." Logan had the contract in his hand but had yet to look at it. Josh was looking through it. Logan upon hearing Bradley dropped the contact. Looked at Dillon and Josh and stood up. "I'm sorry you have wasted your time, my time, and the time of my associates. The contract that was presented to Shira last night is final. She will sign the contract or be arrested for embezzlement. Just in case you are not aware of the charges, I have a copy." Logan looked at Josh as he handed Bradley a copy of the contract and a copy of the proof. "This is a federal case, not local. It also involves Interpol."

Logan stood up, looked at his watch. "I gave you a deadline. at the end of business today. 5 pm. I was hoping to leave early. I have staff to interview and I believe Josh, you, and Honor were coming over for supper, Pizza I believe was the request of my boys. With your boys' agreement, I'm sure." He turned around and went back to his desk. Picked up his phone and asked John what was next on his calendar. Logan was making it clear, the meeting was over.

John was telling Logan that he had no other meeting scheduled today, but Logan continued to talk to John as if he was giving him a list of things that needed to be done. As he was talking, Dillon got up from the table, stopped at Logan's desk. "Call me if you need me." Logan nodded still talking nonsense to John. Josh was slow to get up from the table. He was gathering his belongings. He was waiting, hoping that Shira or Mr. Allen would say something.

Shira got up to leave. Mr. Allen stood up and looked at Josh. "5 pm today?" Josh nodded his head. "I will meet you back here at 4:15 with the signed contract. I need to read over this, then I will get her to sign it." Mr. Allen said.'

As he was talking to Josh, Shira stopped by Logan's desk. She didn't wait for him to acknowledge her. "Logan, you are being ridiculous. This contract will not hold up in court. You know that, why are you playing this game. You have made your point. I will stay out of your life." Logan stopped talking and looked at Shira. "Sign the contract or go to jail." He turned back around and went back to talking with John. Logan saw her leave the office in a huff out of the corner of his eye. Mr. Allen was not too far behind.
