Hello my dear readers. Here's another chapter written. Sorry for the long wait but with the holiday and my family visiting, I was pretty busy.

Other than that, things are starting to pick up and get intense for our heroes. It's going to get good.

ENJOY! XD

Dipper could feel the floor beneath him vibrating before his sister did. He grabbed her hand and yanked her towards the doorway and crouched down, placing a protective hand over her head.

"Hey!" she cried. "What ar-" The ground shaking answered her incomplete question and he could feel her nails now dig into his skin as she held onto him for dear life. "Is this what the people on the news were saying was going to happen?"

His eyes went wide in surprise. "You were listening?"

"So were you!" she exclaimed. "I thought we were playing a game."

Dipper didn't have time to be angry but just nodded instead. "It's what they believe that machine did. I guess they didn't take it down in time."

"Dipper! Mabel!" he heard his mother scream from downstairs. "Stay in the doorway! It's an earthquake!"

"We know, Mom!" Mabel replied. "Dipper already has us here."

"That's my boy!" he heard his dad reply.

"How long are we going to have to stay like this?" Mabel asked him.

Dipper wished he knew. He wished he could quelch his sister's fears but he couldn't quelch his own. He didn't reply. He just resigned to shrug uncertainly not wanting his fear to betray him and scare Mabel even more than she already was.

"You're scared," she whispered."I can sense it. Twintuition."

Dipper blinked and grinned slightly as he nodded. He should have known that he couldn't trick Mabel; they were twins and they always knew when the other was experiencing a strong emotion and right now, oh boy, was that emotion powerful.

"We'll get out of this," Dipper squeaked out. "Together. I promise."

Another powerful temor shook the house causing the kids to flinch. Mabel grabbed onto Dipper's arm tighter and he pressed himself closer to Mabel, squishing her like a sandwich against the beam.

He heard a scream from downstairs and then his father crying out. "Judith! Judith! Talk to me!"

"Dad!" Dipped called out. "Are you and Mom okay?"

"No! Your mother's down. The doorway collapsed! She didn't move in time. Judith!"

Dipper and Mabel looked at each other worriedly and silently agreed to descend downstairs to help their mom. "We're coming down to help."

"NO!" was the stern reply from their father. "You two stay up there in the doorway until this is over!"

"But Dad, we can-"

"No, Mabel!" he shouted. "Stay up there. Stay safe!"

Mabel curled up against the beam, pulling her sweater up over her head trying to hide the sobbing noises coming from her as Dipper resumed his protective position over her. He rubbed her back in small circles trying to comfort her but he was worried too. How bad was the injury? When would this be over? Would they lose Mom? Why is this happening?

He wouldn't get those answers now. All that he could do was sit there and wait. Wait for this to end. Wait to die. There was nothing else to do but wait and panic.

"Be careful."

Hiro landed face first into Baymax's squishy front and felt his aunt fall on top of him. Hiro struggled to upright himself but he kept slipping and falling against the slickness of the robot's exterior. Aunt Cass' weight was suddenly removed and he felt a tug on his own shirt as Baymax up righted him.

"Are you alright?" Cass asked as she looked him over.

"I'm fine," he promised. "Just taken by surprise."

"Hiro is correct," Baymax confirmed. "No physical injuries have been detected on either of you."

"What's going on?" Cass asked now that Hiro's safety was out of the way.

"It appears that a level 5 earthquake has started a few miles in the north and south," Baymax informed, projecting a topographic image on his chest with large red circles above and below their location, both overlapping. "We are feeling the last tremors from both origins of the quake."

"Are we safe?" Hiro asked, his hand gripping tightly around his aunt's.

"I'm afraid not," another woman's voice answered.

Hiro turned around and saw GoGo, Wasabi, Fred, and Honey Lemon run into the cafe and close the door behind them.

"Quick! Get behind that short wall and get a mattress to put over us. It will help soften any debris falling," Wasabi frantically commanded.

"Shouldn't we be squatting in a doorway?" Fred asked.

"Nope. That's a myth. Door frames aren't any stronger than the rest of the house structure," Wasabi informed as he pushed his friends to the wall.

They all sat down behind the short wall separating the sitting area from the cafe and huddled together for dear life, Baymax acting as the mattress Wasabi had suggested. Hiro squeezed his aunt's hand again as the tremors continued and got slightly worse.

"I thought that the authorities took care of the machine," Hiro stated.

"They did," Honey Lemon answered. "These are aftershocks from the other machines around us."

"Your friend is correct," Baymax confirmed.

Hiro snapped his head around to look at his aunt as she screamed in fright from the latest tremor. It was more violent than the previous ones and it scared him too but he was more scared for Aunt Cass. He was scared that he would lose her too, or worse she'd lose him and that anxiety was too much for him. He lunged into her arms, burying his face into her chest to hide the tears running down his face.

"It's okay, Hiro," she tried to soothe, rubbing circles on his back.

"She's right," Honey Lemon chimed in. "Earthquakes don't last forever."

"But they feel like they will in the moment," GoGo added.

Hiro wanted to believe them but he couldn't bring himself to accept it. How could he? He lost Tadashi a few weeks ago and since then it's been disaster after disaster, terror after terror. Would things really be okay? He wanted to be brave for Aunt Cass but he was so scared of losing her and being alone that he couldn't stop crying. He allowed himself to succumb to the comfort of Cass' arms and softly cried as the earthquakes continued, trying to memorize every smell, sound, and feel of his aunt in case this would be the last time he saw her.

Candace held her brothers close to her in the panic room as they rode out each wave of the tremors. How could this be happening so soon after the whole sand mares incident? Why was it happening? She didn't know, she didn't understand but she knew one thing: she was going to protect her brothers.

Another violent tremor shook the ground and she felt Phineas and Ferb scoot closer to her. She could feel that they were shaking slightly out of fear and hoped that they couldn't detect her fear as well. "Why did Mom and Dad have to go pick up some stupid antique furniture today?" she grumbled.

"It's not their fault," Phineas answered. "How would they know this was going to happen?"

Candace could hear the slight tremble in his voice but he had a point. They couldn't have predicted this nor prevented this but it still angered her that they weren't here. "I know but I'm still angry."

"Why?"

She looked down at her brothers and pulled them closer to her. "Because too much has happened in such a short time. Too many bad, terrible things, and now this!" she exclaimed. "It's too much for me and I can't even imagine what these last couple of months have been like for you two."

"We're fine, Candace," Phineas tried to assure her but she could tell otherwise.

"True, we are scared at the moment, but like all things, this will pass and we can continue with our lives," Ferb added.

"Moving on from the end of the world," Candace scoffed. "Only you two could do that."

"We'll do it together!" Phineas smiled as he hugged her. "We wouldn't leave you behind."

"You are our big sister after all," Ferb added as he hugged her too.

Candace hugged her brothers back, tearing up at their sweet words that amplified her resolve to protect them. She heard chattering behind her and saw that their pet platypus was trying to wrap his tail around her to protect her but wasn't very successful. "Thanks for trying, Perry."

She yelped as another tremor shook the ground and she held her brothers even tighter, if that was even possible, hoping and praying that whatever invisible force she angered would let up and give them a chance to grow up and live a good life.

"Great gronka morka!" Blinky cried as he pushed a piece of stone off of him. He ran over and helped AAARRRGGHH remove some stones off of him as he spoke. "That was very sudden. Master Jim! Are you and your friends alright?"

"I think so," Jim grunted as he pushed some rubble off of his leg. "I'm going to have a few nasty bruises but otherwise, I'm good. Tobes! Claire! How about you?"

"I'm totally removing gem miner off my list of potential job options for me," Toby responded. "That was not fun."

"I'm fine," Claire answered. "Something protected me."

They looked over to her and saw that the debris had landed around her but not on top of her. Above her was a large black wing and they watched as pieces of stone continued to fall and bounced off of it and to the side.

"Dragon protect you," AAARRRGGHH said.

"Quite remarkable!" Blinky smiled. "But where are the others?"

Jim and the others ran up to Claire and began to remove stone away from the dragon to look for the other humans. The dragon was partially buried in the rubble but they could tell it was still alive and not crushed by the force of the stone but the humans, they couldn't find.

"He's moving," Toby pointed towards the black dragon as he stood up and shook off the remaining stones on top of him. "Whoa! That's awesome!"

"Where's Merida, Emma, and," Jim began to ask, realizing he didn't know the boy's name. "The other boy."

Toothless began to stand up and beneath his belly, laid the other three huddled together. Merida moved first, checking on the others before sliding out from under the dragon. "We're not hurt," she informed. "Right?"

Emma nodded as she followed the red head and patted Toothless' snout. "Thank you for covering us."

Toothless gave her a soft coo as he gently nudged her then looked down at the last human. He gave a concerned cry to Hiccup as he wasn't moving out from under him. Taking a few steps back, he placed his snout onto the boy's chest and gave a deep throated gurgle to send vibrations throughout the boy's body.

"What is he doing?" Blinky asked.

"I don't know," Merida shrugged. "I've never seen this before."

Jim was fascinated, along with everyone else, as to what the dragon was doing. "Maybe he's trying to comfort the boy?" He had noticed that the boy's chest was heaving up and down quickly and his body was trembling. He recognized the physical signs of a panic attack anywhere.

"Could be," she nodded. "His name is Hiccup, by the way."

"Hiccup?" Claire cocked an eyebrow. "Seriously?"

Merida shrugged. "I guess. It's the only name he remembers."

"Remember?" AAARRRGGHH repeated.

"Yeah. He was discovered by our headmasters years ago injured and when he came too, he called himself by that name."

A sudden gasp came from Hiccup and Toothless perked up, giving him a small lick. "I'm okay now, bud. Thanks for calming me down." He stood up and faced the others. "Well, it seems they activated those machines."

"It seems that way," Blinky nodded.

"Trollmarket!" Jim exclaimed. "Won't they be affected? What about the heartstone?"

"Oh no!" Toby cried. "We have to protect it!"

Jim and his group began to run through the sewers until they came to a dead end, took out the horngazle and made a semicircle on the wall. Once he pressed it, the stone dissolved leaving a large opening for them to enter through and they didn't hesitate. He ran ahead of the group but stopped suddenly when he saw the room before him in complete chaos.

The tremors from the earthquakes had caused every stack to fall over and littering the walkways, causing the trolls running around frantically to trip and fall which tripped other trolls in a never ending domino effect. Hundreds of gnomes skittered about in panic from their homes having caved in on them and also almost being squished several times by either falling rock or a troll stepping on them.

On the far side, Jim could see the large orange heartstone glowing brightly but also saw a large stone dislodge itself from the ceiling and fall on top of it. The hum and light from the heartstone waned and flickered from the impact and made Jim's blood run cold. "If this keeps up, the heartstone will be destroyed! Blinky what do we do?"

"We've never had earthquakes like this in almost a millennium!" he informed. "During that time, the stone was small and easy to protect. Now, I have no idea!"

"Grab those awnings!" Hiccup commanded.

Jim jumped at his voice, not even realizing that others had followed him into Troll Market. Vendal isn't going to be happy about this. He shook off his surprise and began to take down the awnings over the troll shops like he said and put them in a pile. "What are we doing with these?"

Hiccup tugged on the fabric a few times and gave a tentative shrug. "These are old. Not the strongest fibers but it will have to do. Continue finding some more."

"What are we doing with them?" Toby asked as he dropped a bundle on the ground.

"Creating a canopy over that stone," Hiccup pointed to the heartstone. "That orange crystal is important right?"

"That it is," Blinky nodded. "It's our lifeforce. If it goes, we will crumble into rubble within a few months if we don't find a new one."

"Okay. Now I also need lots of rope, heavy duty if you can find it. Merida, I'm going to need you with me. We have some weaving to do."

Jim helped the others gather as much fabric and rope they could find in the short amount of time they had. With each tremor, more stone fell from the roof and hit the heartstone causing it to flicker each time and he flinched each time feeling the panic coming from the trolls.

"Trollhunter!" a troll cried out as she ran towards him.

"Bagdwella? What's wrong?"

"Lava is spilling into the lower sections and beginning to rise!"

Jim's heart began to race. He didn't know how to stop lava and they couldn't evacuate Troll Market in time. Even if they could, it was in the middle of the day and the trolls would die by sun instead of lava. Then there was Arcadia Oaks above them. If the lava continued to rise, it could engulf the town and then no one would have a home. "Tobes! Use your hammer and start building a wall to slow the lava from spreading."

"I'll try slowing the rise by portalling it into the ocean for as long as possible," Claire shouted and she ran with Toby down to the lower levels.

Jim sighed in relief that the lava would be dealt with temporarily until they could save the heartstone. He ran back over to where Hiccup and Merida were standing and saw that Emma was helping them weave the rope through a bunch of hoops on the pieces of fabric. "What can I do to help?"

"Make sure your troll friends don't shoot us down," Merida said. "Two almost tried to pummel us already."

Jim nodded as he began to run through the streets, explaining that the other humans with the dragon were here to help and to not be afraid of them. He heard a small voice repeat those words and turned around to see Emma helping him spread the word. A small smile spread across his face seeing another human so willing to protect this world so quickly. Darci is still trying to wrap her mind around the whole idea of trolls.

The young Trollhunter heard a thunderous flap and saw Toothless, Hiccup, and Merida launch into the air and watched as Merida took several arrows with ropes tied to them and shot them across the room in zig zagged patterns. Once out of arrows, Toothless lowered himself so that Merida could dismount and flew back up to have Hiccup pull the fabric across the ropes.

"Look out!" Emma cried as she pointed above Hiccup and Toothless. Another tremor had dislodged another large stone and it was crashing towards them.

A collective gasp rang through the market as the other trolls watched in shock. He thought for sure that the dragon and his rider were done for but the two flipped over midair and Toothless shot at the large rock, shattering it to pieces.

The ringing of his cell phone startled Jim. "Mom!"

"Jim! Thank goodness!" his mom cried. "Are you safe?"

"Yes," Jim nodded, now feeling confident in that statement. The awnings that Hiccup had created were actually working because they were catching the stones that fell with every tremor and any of the large ones, Toothless was blasting into smaller pieces so that the fabric wouldn't rip under the weight. "I'm with Toby and Claire. We're with Mr. Blinky, my counselor."

"Okay. I just needed to know you were safe. It's crazy here at the hospital."

"I can imagine," Jim nodded as he kept an alert eye out for any trolls that may be in danger from falling debris. Not that they would be hurt majorly since they themselves are stone but he was their protector and would protect them from big and small threats.

"Just stay where it's safe and don't try to be a hero," his mom said. "I love you."

Jim scoffed quietly, knowing that he can't promise to stay where it's safe. He's never safe, always putting himself in danger to protect everyone. "I love you too, Mom." He hung up the phone and took a deep breath to lower his heart rate, grateful that the major threats to the heartstone were taken care of.

"Jim!"

He turned to see Toby running towards him as fast as possible, his face contorted into fear. "What is it, Tobes?"

"The lava! It's about to flow over the wall I made and Claire can't keep the portal open any longer."

"The lava!" Jim exclaimed. How could he forget that little detail? He ran down to the lower levels and saw that Claire was leaning against a large boulder, slowly making her way up the walkway as she held her staff out in front of her, the purple portal expanding and contracting wildly as Claire's strength waned. "Claire! Stop! You've done enough."

"Troll Market...still...in...danger…" she said weakly before she completely collapsed.

Jim caught her and saw that her face was pale, her skin taunt, and her eyes sunken and dark from how much she exerted herself. "I got you," he whispered as he began to carry her to the upper levels. Another tremor caused him to misstep and he landed right on top of her, cringing when he heard a crack. "Oh, man. I hope I didn't break anything."

"Are ye alright?" Merida asked as she ran up to them. "What's wrong with her?"

"She's exhausted," Toby explained. "Creating a portal is draining."

"The lava is still coming," Jim said as Merida helped him carry Claire to safety. "I don't know what to do."

"Hiccup!" Merida shouted.

The dragon and his rider flew over to them quickly and hovered overhead. "Is she okay?"

"Nothing that some sleep won't fix but there is lava rising quickly. Any ideas?"

Hiccup looked down the walkway and nodded to Toothless who made a loud cry that echoed through the chamber. Jim saw that the two seemed to have a silent conversation before he responded. "Toothless can blast a tunnel to divert the lava but that would leave the big crystal vulnerable."

"We'll take care of the crystal," Blinky offered as he ran up to them. "We can throw other rocks to divert the bigger ones."

With a nod, the dragon beelined to the lower levels and the faint sound of blasts could be heard. Jim and Merida carried Claire to a safe location before placing her down gently, then diverting their attention to the tremors once again. "I don't know how much Troll Market can take."

"I can't even imagine what Arcadia is like right now," Toby cried. "It must be a mess."

"Not just Arcadia," Merida shook her head. "The entire world. We believe these machines were put in specific locations to cause natural disasters."

"So not just earthquakes?" Toby asked.

"Are you saying that there could be volcanoes erupting, avalanches, and tsunamis?" Jim fearfully inquired. The idea of all natural disasters happening at once terrified him more than Gunmar being released since there would be so much chaos and the people wouldn't be able to get back on their feet quick enough but Merida shook her head to answer his question and his blood ran cold again.

She tightened the hoodie around her as if the taunt fabric would somehow stop the humans from discovering her. She felt like an exposed nerve, walking around among the normal people, trying so hard to conceal the fact that she wasn't like them but the frost forming around the clutched fabric and on the stones she stepped on was starting to give her away.

"Would you relax," Eret lulled as he placed a hand on her shoulder. "These people aren't going to hurt you for just walking through town."

"You don't know that," Elsa whispered. "They're staring at me already."

"That's because you're letting your fear control you and you're creating frost crystals where there shouldn't be any. Relax. Take a deep breath."

Elsa stopped walking and closed her eyes, taking in a long, slow breath through her nose and letting it out slowly through her mouth. Her heart rate started to slow and her grip began to loosen as she continued the breathing exercise, taking comfort in knowing that Eret was with her.

"Hello travelers!" a woman greeted.

Elsa jumped in her skin and stood behind Eret to try and hide the new crystals forming around her hands at the surprised acknowledgement. Eret smiled at the woman and replied. "Hello! I am Eret, son of Eret and this is Elsa."

"It's nice to meet you," the woman smiled. "Are you and your girlfriend looking for a place to stay?"

"Yes, we're looking for a place to sta- wait? Did you say girlfriend?" Eret asked bewildered.

"You two are a lovely couple," the woman nodded.

"We're not a couple," Elsa spoke shyly, poking her head around the man in front of her and her cheeks were slightly warm from blushing at the idea.

"She's my sister," Eret lied. "She hasn't gotten out much and is a bit nervous about the world."

Elsa and Eret gave a big, fake smile to the woman as she giggled. "My apologies. Well, there is a hotel a few blocks in that direction that has available rooms." She pointed behind her as she spoke. "There is also a cheap store for clothes if you'd like to find cooler clothes, dear. You must be sweltering in that hoodie. It's going to be 26 Celsius today."

"Thank you for the suggestion," Elsa bowed slightly at the woman.

"No need for bowing, my dear," the woman chuckled. "We're just a friendly town. You don't have to be nervou-"

Their conversation was interrupted by the ground shaking underneath them and screams echoing around town. People fell over, cars crashed into each other, light poles fell down and damaged buildings, glass shattered, and the whole town was in chaos.

Elsa watched as Eret ran towards a little boy and somersaulted him out of the way of falling debris, surprised that even she was worried about the child's safety. The woman who was talking to them struggled to stand back up, almost falling back down but Elsa caught her and helped her to a safer location.

"Thank you, dear," she smiled. "Your hands are like ice. Are you sick?"

"No," she shook her head, quickly retracting her hands back to the safety of her hoodie. "I just have cold hands."

Another tremor was followed by a large boom and everyone looked towards the mountain in horror. "The volcano has erupted!" someone shouted.

"That's impossible," the woman muttered. "It's dormant. We're not prepared for a volcano!"

Elsa could see the panic in the woman's eyes. She looked around to see the fear on all the other's faces as well, feeling a pang of empathy towards them. Eret ran up to her, panic lacing his voice. "I don't recall this being part of Drago's plan," he whispered.

"I don't think he would entrust anyone with his complete plan," Elsa retorted.

"We won't be able to get out before the lava hits the town. Looks like I just accelerated our death day."

Elsa looked at Eret, the town and then the mountain as the lava quickly descended upon the town, burning through trees, rocks, homes, and cars that were up on the mountain. She took a deep breath, knowing that what needed to be done would probably get her killed but she didn't want to die by fire and she didn't want Eret to die either. Not with their freedom still in its infancy.

She began to run towards the flow of lava, the woman and Eret running after her. "What are you doing!" they hollered together.

She ignored them and removed her hoodie so that she could have free reign of her arms. She opened up her hands towards the liquid fire, focusing on her core she blasted frost and ice at the lava. She heard a gasp from the woman behind her and Eret's footsteps approaching her.

"Elsa," he breathed. "You've just exposed yourself. You do realize that."

"I know," she grunted. "But you have faith in these people and I have faith in you. I need to overcome my fear somehow." She continued to spew ice at the lava and once it was frozen, she began to ascend the mountain, freezing the flow until she made it to the top of the mountain. With one last burst of ice, she closed the top of the mountain with a thick layer of ice.

She collapsed in exhaustion and allowed herself to slide down the hill of ice she had created and was greeted by Eret and the woman at the bottom. She smiled weakly at Eret as he helped her back to her feet. "I think the town is safe now. I hope so."

The tremors still continued to shake the ground but the ice didn't seem to crack under the movement. "I think you did a great job," Eret smiled back. "Nothing's getting through that ice."

"How did you do that?" the woman gaped. "What are you?"

Elsa and Eret looked at the woman and smiled sheepishly. The fear that she didn't feel through the adrenaline was now surfacing tenfold and she shrank into arms. What did I do? I really doomed us both. I am a monster.

"We mean no harm," Eret promised. "She has special abilities that she was born with, abilities that she can control. If you're uncomfortable with us being here, we'll continue on our way and leave your little town."

Eret adjusted his arms so he could support her weight better as he began to lead her away. A part of her berated herself for exposing them for the freaks that they are but a part of her was also angered at the humans for being so ungrateful.

"No," the woman stopped them. "I didn't mean for it to come out like that. I was just...surprised. Thank you for saving our town. It must have taken a lot out of you."

Elsa blinked at the woman, shocked that she was thanking her and not running away screaming. "Yo...You're welcome," she stammered.

Another tremor almost knocked them to the ground and Elsa felt another pair of hands on her. She looked down and saw that the woman was helping Eret hold her upright and Elsa froze not knowing how to react to the unfamiliar contact. "Come with me. I'll give you two a place to stay until this is all over."

Flynn caught Rapunzel as she fell forwards, almost tumbling off the balcony after the most current tremor. "You okay?"

Rapunzel looked up at him and he smiled at her startled expression, her green eyes looking at him fearfully. "I'm fine. Just lost my balance."

He up righted her and saw that Anna was helping Kristoff off the floor. "I didn't realize that earthquakes were possible here."

"They're not," Kristoff said. "However, if these devices are powerful enough, they could cause an artificial earthquake which could cause something even worse."

"What could be worse than an earthquake?" Astrid scoffed as she shoved a metal pole into the ground and against a wall to prevent it from falling over.

"A tsunami."

Everyone in the room froze and immediately looked out the window towards the shoreline. Flynn took out his binoculars but couldn't see the ocean. "Uh-oh."

"Great!" Snotlout shouted. "Now we have to worry about a tsunami?"

"We don't know that for sure," Anna tried to calm him down. "The cell towers are down due to the earthquakes so we can't confirm that there is a tsunami coming."

"Well, the ocean is missing," Flynn stated. "That usually means a tsunami is coming."

"What do we do then?' Kristoff asked. "We can't evacuate the entire city. We don't have enough time."

"You're telling me with all these talented people at this school, not one person can control water?" Flynn asked skeptically.

"Wait! Moana can!" Rapunzel exclaimed. "I'll go get her and we can head out to the dock."

Before Flynn could stop her, she ran out of the room leaving the others standing dumbfoundedly. "How good is she?"

"She's only a year ahead of us," Snotlout said. "I'm not sure."

The doors opened again with Rapunzel pulling a darker skinned girl with wavy brown hair through the doors. "You've got to be joking," she deadpanned.

"Nope."

"I appreciate your faith in me everyone," Moana grinned nervously. "But I can barely control the water in a swimming pool. I can't control the entire ocean!"

Flynn looked through his binoculars again and saw that a large wall of water was on its way towards them. "Well, do what you can because it's headed directly towards us as we speak." He headed out the door with Rapunzel following and her dragging Moana behind her again.

"We'll stay here and protect the school," Astrid hollered after them. "Do your best Moana!"

Flynn drove the girls as close to the dock as he could get since many roads were blocked due to cars being abandoned as the people fled the city. He grabbed each of the girl's hands, refusing to lose them in the panicked crowd, until they got to a good place. "This should work."

"I need to be higher so I can see the wave better."

He busted down the door of the nearby building and led them up to the roof. "Will this work?"

Moana nodded as she looked at the water hurtling towards them, fear in her eyes but she held out her hands and focused on the wave. Flynn felt Rapunzel stand close to him and he put an arm around her to pull her closer to him as they watched the wave get closer and closer together.

"I'm glad we met, Flynn," Rapunzel mumbled into his side.

"Eugene," he replied.

"What?"

"Eugene," he repeated. "My name is Eugene Fitzherbert. Someone should know in case we die." He looked down at her and watched her expression change from confusion to a big smile as she hugged him tighter.

"I like that so much more than Flynn Rider."

Eugene felt his heart skip a beat at the confession, his cheeks going warm as he hugged her back. Somehow this innocent girl had officially wormed her way into his heart and he wasn't going to fight the warm feeling she gave him. A part of him wished he had some sort of special ability to help protect her better but wishing wouldn't change the cards fate had dealt him.

"I can't stop it completely," Moana strained. "I can lessen the impact here but the other cities on the coast are going to be destroyed. I won't be able to save them."

"Do what you can, that's all anyone can ask," Rapunzel assured.

With a nod, Moana shifted her focus back to the giant wave. Eugene and Rapunzel watched as the wall of water seemed to suddenly lessen a mile or two in each direction but still there was enough height to it that it crashed into the buildings on the coastline causing minimal damage and completely drenching the three on the roof. Moana grunted loudly as she tried to push the water back from the city, finally succeeding after several minutes.

The water receded back to its proper place and the other girl collapsed to her knees. Eugene ran up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "That was amazing," he smiled at her. She tried to smile back but was too tired to do so.

"Did the wave cut or break anything?" Rapunzel asked her as she wrung the water out of her hair.

"Just...tired…"

Eugene picked her up and began to carry her off back to the school. "You rest. I'll get you both home safely."

Fear continued to overtake his senses as the vibration of the ground persisted and Drago's smile grew bigger and bigger while staring at the boy. He hated how helpless he was but what he hated more was that man watching him like a piece of meat. He tried wiggling out of his restraints again but it was hopeless.

"We're getting reports of earthquakes, volcanoes, avalanches, tsunamis, and wildfires taking out thousands of cities and towns," Alvin reported gleefully. "Stupid humans have no idea what hit them."

"Good," Drago chuckled.

Jack tried again to get out of his prison but a shock of electricity through his neck forced him to stop. He opened up his eyes once the pain was gone to see Dagur holding a control.

"You try to escape again, I will turn it back on," he threatened.

Suddenly, the vibrations stopped and the clamoring chamber went quiet. Everyone looked to Drago, including himself, waiting for some sort of command. The eerie silence was deafening and as the seconds ticked by, Jack's anxiety got worse. He didn't want to know what this horrid man had in store for him but he also didn't want to lay in the suffocating silence either.

"Begin."

Jack's eyes went wide at the single word from Drago and his heart began to race wildly. Dagur approached him and pressed a button on the control which released the collar around his throat. Jack could feel the ice and cold flow through his veins again but before he could direct it to his restraints, Dagur closed the glass lid over him and the machine he was attached to started to hum.

He looked around him to try and understand what the machine was doing to him but he couldn't figure it out. Then he felt it. He felt the coldness from his veins being redirected towards the needles stuck into his skin but instead of freezing them out, the ice seemed to move along the wires and tubes into the machine.

"Start sending out the messages," Drago smirked. "They'll have to bow to my every command if they don't want to freeze to death."

Jack tried to pull against the restraints again but he felt so much weaker than before. The machine is draining my energy. Jack looked up to where his staff was caged and saw that it was beginning to be engulfed in a small blizzard before a hatch above it opened up and the storm was released into a large tube.

His mind began to swim between fear, exhaustion, and anxiety as the machine continued to pull at his power and redirect it for his captor's purpose. Soon, Jack had no idea how long he'd been there, where he was, or even who he was anymore. All he knew was tiredness, fear, and cold.
