If people don't like what you write, take feedback but don't be discouraged. Once upon a time, people wrote fanfics about their religion. The Tragic Tale of Doctor Faustus, Milton's Paradise Lost, and many of Charles Dicken's works use strong Christian motifs. These non-canonized tales became our classics. Tale of Two Cities, A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, Great Expectations? All Christian-based themes. Charles Dickens literally published his stories chapter by chapter in a weekly periodical...which is kind of how we publish on fanfiction. One old lady complained to Dickens about his perpetuation of the stereotype of evil old maids through Miss Havisham. Dickens wrote an apology. In addition, Dickens added Miss Havisham's redemption to the story. I do read your input...with many grains of salt. I'm not saying to publish to fanfiction. No one pays you for shit here.
