Kirihiko sighed out as he looked up at the clear blue sky from the park, the winds of Futo blowing through his hair as he looked on. He had trouble with some sleeping last night due to the pull from the Nazca Memory, meaning he was practically up all night the past few days. He pondered how long...how long does he have left until his life finally burns out from the power of the dangerous Gaia Memory? And more importantly...how long until Ryubi sends out anyone to come take him out?

"Mrow…" Kirihiko blinked upon seeing Mick sitting across from him, his driver attached to his back.

"Mick again, huh…?" he chuckled, "I suppose I never did get you to like me…" Mick's response was a yawn, "Not that I ever understood you...I mean, who took the time to train a cat this much? ...Otou-sama and the others just spoil you. So who made you into the most amazing cat in Japan?"

"..." Mick growled lightly as he began thinking.

"Philip! Did you steal a Tiger Cub!?" Shotaro snapped.

"His name...is Bubba," Philip argued with said Tiger cub resting on his head.

"...Did you steal it from the zoo?"

"..."

"Philip…!"

"My Bubba…" Philip pouted, "Besides...I rescued him from a blackmarket dealer Alter Ego found online."

"You can't keep it!"

"Him...Bubba is a boy, and we shall respect that," Philip argued.

"You can't keep him!" Shotaro snapped once more.

"I refuse! I am the smartest of us, I'm more than qualified to take care of this wonderful creature and all of his needs." Philip argued.

"But...you….!"

"What happened with Philip n-" Akiko began as she and Hina walked in...and saw the tiger cub on Philip's head.

"His name...is Bubba," Philip smiled as he used his hands to make said Tiger cub wave with his paw, "Say 'Hi,' Bubba. These are Papa's work friends."

"...Baby~" the two girls silently squealed.

"Girls, don't you dare encourage this…!" Shotaro snapped.

"But...he…"

"I assure you I saved Bubba from the blackmarket," Philip quickly interjected.

"Yeah and what's gonna happen when Bubba grows up and tries to eat someone...probably Hifumi!" Shotaro argued.

"...You never let me have anything…" Philip muttered as he picked the tiger cub up off his head, the girls taking him and cooed over him almost instantly, "But counter question….where are we gonna take him to for safety?"

=I heard there's a new animal sanctuary built from the Pollution Dopant's former company before Byakuya-san bought it= Alter Ego offered =You can still see him, and he can be taken care of until he can be released out into the wild=

"Fine…" Philip pouted.

"Why do you always fight so much harder for cats?" Shotaro sighed.

"Cats are the most wonderful of animal in the world. They hate what I hate, they like what I like...Also, they are the most adorable when small!" Philip declared.

"Plus if you train them at a young age, you can have them swim with you in the water!" Hina added.

"See? She gets it," Philip grinned.

"Okay, I get it. You're a Cat person…" Shotaro sighed.

"Well, I love all animal companions. Cats just get me the most, and I get them," Philip corrected, "I can't explain it, when I see cats...I feel...like I miss something…" he admitted.

"...What if we adopted a cat?" Akiko offered.

"Akiko, no. D-" Shotaro began.

"A cat would be a good stress reliever for the office," Kyoko offered as she and Naegi walked in.

"Oh not you too…"

"Maybe if Philip had an actual pet...he'd stop taking in random strays." Kyoko added.

"Also...no one wants a repeat of maid Philip...or fat Philip...or the time he drugged us to see what would happen…" Naegi listed.

"I never expected you to be so bold, Naegi-kun." Philip smiled, "To think you'd run around half naked like that...Truly a great experiment. More so since I gave you sugar pills…" he whispered to himself.

"Also...we don't want him taking in dangerous exotic animals…" Kyoko sighed, "Need we relive the Anaconda in the bathtub? Mondo is still afraid to use the main bathroom."

"I miss Orochi…" Philip sighed.

"...hmm…" Shotaro began to ponder at the suggestion, "I am getting tired of Philip kidnapping random animals…"

"Liberating," Philip corrected.

"Kidnapping!" Shotaro snapped, "But...you make a good point….ugh, fine. Philip...we'll get you a cat."

"YATTA!" Philip, Hina and Akiko beamed.

"HOWEVER…!" Shotaro began as he held a finger up, "It's your job to train it and keep it healthy...and I am NOT changing the litter box."

"Of course. Leave it to me!" Philip smiled as he picked up the phone that housed Alter Ego, "Girls...Ego-chan, to the pet store and adoption center!"

"Yosha!" Hina, Akiko, and Alter Ego beamed as they and Philip rushed out.

"Be sure to take that tiger cub to that animal sanctuary!" Shotaro reminded before sighing, "That should give us a bit of quiet…"

"Hopefully, yeah…" Naegi agreed as he sat down, "Especially...giving how close that is coming…"

"...You mean the Final Trial of Monokuma's, correct?" Kyoko asked.

"Hai, but also….Kirihiko-san," Naegi admitted, "I mean...last we saw him was during the Bird Dopant case…"

"He must have gotten into some sort of trouble if that was all an experiment of theirs." Shotaro spoke, "I thought that guy...was a real piece of work. But I guess anyone can believe they are doing the right thing if they don't know the full truth. But that's why Boss said: Detectives are the only ones in the world who should know the truth, and a strong man can accept it, and still move on."

"And he seems to have moved on somewhat," Kyoko noted, "But...the question is, will his former employers let him roam freely now that he knows the truth?"

"Probably not…" Shotaro sighed, "But he's tough...he should be good to deal with whatever they send his way…"

"Gh...gah…" Kirihiko panted as he hid in an empty parking lot, holding his bleeding arm as he had a large claw mark on it, "Damn it...Mick must be on catnip if he's this energetic…" he whispered before a loud roar caught his attention, "?! ...Ah sh-"

Smilodon roared as he burst through a stone pillar, prompting Kirihiko to dodge his incoming slash. Smilodon roared and swung again only to miss as Kirihiko transformed into Nazca. Nazca grunted and ran off with his super speed. Only for Smilodon to keep up as the two blurred around at high speeds.

'Even with my Super Speed...Mick's Dopant form can keep pace, how horrible...such a powerful Gaia Memory...such a powerful secret enforcer...and no one will ever know this is just a pampered house cat...Mick...to even retain command of such a different body...the training you received...they must have been strict, I still can't believe that anyone in the family would be capable...so then who? Even Those sisters respect you...then who trained you to be this smart for just a cat?'

"RAWR!" Smilodon roared as he put his hands together and thrust the completed head visage his gauntlets made forward, Nazca stopped mid step and jumped back letting the attack tear into the concrete floor and wall as if something had taken a bite out of the very space in the path of his attack.

"Tch...Bet you were tempted with tuna, weren't you?" Nazca grunted before narrowly dodging a claw swipe from Smilodon, "Yup! Definitely the tuna!"

"Rawr!" Smilodon seemed to confirm as he jumped at him again, the two Dopant's clashing...only for the Cat turned Monster to win in power as well as he pushed Nazca down and pinned him to the floor.

'Damn it...I can barely fight back at this point with this injury…' Nazca thought, grunting in pain as the area where he was cut began to surge up in pain.

Smilodon growled as his jaw began opening, his fangs glistening as he inched closer to end his prey. Nazca grunted in panic as he realized, Mick was still a cat. His instincts didn't dictate he ended this with his hands/claws. But to finish his prey with his fangs, and they inched closer as the Smilodon Dopant tried to bite his face.

"This...is not how I expected things to end...to think...a cat would be my downfall…" he grunted before blinking as he realized the Smilodon Dopant stopped pushing. It looked at a clock on the wall, focusing on the time.

It growled and jumped back, before dashing off. Eventually vanishing from sight altogether. Nazca gasped as he turned his head to look at the clock in confusion, realizing himself what time it was for Mick.

"F-Feeding time...of course, Mick doesn't care if he finishes a prey or not...he just wants the promised reward…" Nazca muttered, dismissing his transformation as he dragged himself over to a support column, "Ahh...still...he worked me up good...afraid of what might happen if I fall asleep…" Kirihiko muttered, wincing in pain as he held his still bleeding arm. It was then he heard footsteps, prompting him to look up and see Mukuro approach, "...great….I get taken down by the psycho's sister…"

"She nor do the Sonozaki family know I am here…" Mukuro answered as she approached him.

"Then what are you here for?"

"...Honestly….I'm unsure myself," Mukuro whispered as she helped him up, putting his non-injured arm over her shoulder, "Come...I have a spot I use to think to myself and rest when Junko…"

"Acts like her usual psychotic self?" Kirihiko guessed.

"After finding out she used me as a martyr….yes."

"I question why you stayed...you seemed to have found the enlightenment I just came across...much sooner…" he chuckled dryly as they began walking, "Surely with your skills...you could have escaped...and found a life of your own…rather then hang around all this..."

"True, but…" Mukuro paused, closing her eyes as she gave a sigh, "What life is there for an ex mercenary like myself…?"

"I'm sure you can find something...maybe with the right person…" he chuckled, "Love takes many forms afterall…"

"...Yes…." Mukuro whispered, blushing a bit as she thought back to her time hanging out with Naegi for a moment, "...C-Come. Let's tend to those wounds…" she whispered, shaking the blush off as she resumed walking.

"Hey...hey…" Wakana spoke up, knocking on Junko's door as she waited for a response, "Enoshima, I need to ask you something," she stated, only to get silence in response, "...Hope."

"ECK! EW! WHERE?!" Junko gagged as she opened her door, only to see Wakana standing before her, "Oh...it's you."

"Have you seen Mukuro anywhere by any chance?"

"How should I know? She's still bitter that I used her as a martyr for the first round of my killing game," Junko answered, "I mean let it go already, yeesh!"

"Did you say sorry?"

"Yes!"

"Did you mean it?" she arched an eyebrow in a sassy tone.

"...This is a trick question…" Junko frowned, "I pull that shit...don't steal my shit."

"Fine fine…"

"...Still, why are you asking me where Mukuro is? Aren't you two supposed to be friends?"

"Hey look, someone sent you a 'Have a Nice Day' EMail," she pointed into the room.

"Eh?" Junko raised a brow, moving to her computer as she pulled her emails up, "'Have a nice and h-' EW! HOPE?!" she gagged before she heard Wakana giggle, "...you nasty little troll…"

"Me? Why I would never dare send you such a thing," Wakana smiled, "I had my interns do it. They should do something if they're gonna lounge around my studio all day." she walked off, "Also I used your email address when I signed up for a couple of charity events, so have fun sifting through all that~"

"WHAT?! DAMN Y-!" Junko began before the door was closed on her by Mick walking by, "...oh you little bastard…" at that, the door opened and a vase was tossed at her computer, "How?!" she shouted as a paw waved goodbye and closed the door again, "Who trained you?!"

"Ah...ah…" Philip began before Hina quickly put a finger under his nose, "...Thanks, Hina-chan…" he sighed in relief before looking at the small tabby kitten in his hands, "I almost dropped this little one."

"Can I have a turn now?" she asked.

"Okay, but please be careful," Philip nodded.

"Hai," Hina nodded as she carefully took the kitten from him, "Kawaii~"

"Did you find any you like yet, sir?" the store owner asked as he approached the two.

"Not yet, no," Philip shook his head, "Akiko?"

"I don't think she can hear you," Hina spoke, seeing one of the petting rooms occupied with Akiko practically buried under a pile of kittens.

"So fwuffy!" Akiko declared out of pure joy.

"Ah...well what about you, ma'am?" the store clerk asked as he looked at Hina, "Surely your boyfriend has found something he liked."

"B-b-b-boyfriend?!" Hina exclaimed, her face blushing heavily at the thought, "H-he...I..wh...well..th...i-i-i-t's not…!"

"I am a boy...and I am her friend…" Philip nodded, "But I do not think we are the romantic partnership term of which you mean." he went on, "Though this is interesting, I have wondered how these relationships work...but that comes secondary to the true important matter. Nothing matters more than...Neko-Neko's!"

Y-yeah! N-nothing more important at the moment than getting Phillip-kun a fur baby!" Hina added with a nervous chuckle, trying her best to force the blush down.

"Fur baby...oh because it's a kitten...oh I like that," Philip smiled a bit, "But sadly no...none of the cats here have caught my eye."

"Ahh...too bad," the clerk sighed at that.

"I don't know...I love cats. I believe they are the best. And while each and every one of these little ones are adorable, and prime for a lifetime of friendship. It feels...like it's not right for me, that there is a cat that is right for me." Philip sighed, "Maybe...I did have a cat…" he pondered, "I just forgot about them with my amnesia…" he mused to himself, "The word blue comes to mind when I think, 'My Cat'..."

"...Maybe…" Hina began before leaning in and whispered to him, "That one cat we saw during the Book Dopant case...maybe he's connected to your missing memories."

"Ano neko…" Philip blinked, recalling the details, "...oh yeah...that cat that was mauling that paper Monokuma...I liked that cat….You might be onto something, Hina-chan," he noted before looking at Akiko, "Akiko, we're leaving."

"Hah?!" Akiko gawked at that before holding up a few kittens in her arms, "But...but the fur babies~!"

"We can come back whenever," Philip argued, "Cuddles are cuddles after all."

"...mm….true," Akiko pouted as she let the kittens down onto the floor, standing up as she carefully walked out of the petting room, "This better be worth leaving a bundle of fluffy cuteness…"

"We think Philip-kun had a cat before and we think we know what it looks like," Hina explained.

"Really?" Akiko blinked at that.

"Hai," Hina nodded as she handed the kitten to the store clerk, "Sorry for taking up your time, sir."

"Ahh it's fine. You can come back whenever you like," the clerk assured with a chuckle.

"Can do, sir," Akiko nodded as the three began to walk out, "So what does this cat of yours look like, Philip? ...If it is yours that is."

"Hmm...I believe he was a Russian Blue," Philip muttered as he tried to recall that cat from the Book Dopant case, "Rather smart looking too...hmm…"

"I'm sure it'll come to you, Philip," Hina spoke with a small smile, "Oh! Maybe it's at the pound and it's waiting for you there...or hopefully the adoption center."

"Ego?" Philip said as he pulled out Alter Ego's phone.

=I'm doing a search for anyone looking for or found a Russian Blue cat= Alter Ego answered before puffing their cheeks a bit =Mmm...the one time I wish I had a body to experience holding a cat…=

"I can make a program of one for you," Philip offered.

=YAY!=

"You are a lot nicer than you act, Philip." Hina chuckled.

"Really?" he blinked, "I just think it's unfair only we get to have adorable kitten cuddles…"

"Ah...very true," Hina nodded.

"It would seem very unfair," Akiko nodded in agreement, "But first let's find Philip's possible cat, and then...back to the fwuffy~!"

"YOSH!"

"Ahh…" Kirihiko winced as Mukuro finished patching his arm up, "I suppose your combat medic skills are not where you invested time into…"

"No...but it was handy when I was doing solo missions," Mukuro answered as she moved back from him, "Just be sure not to put too much pressure on your arm, lest the string I used will come undone and reopen your wound."

"Noted…" he nodded a bit as he looked around the small, plain looking apartment they were in, "So...this is your home away from home…"

"In a way…" Mukuro nodded, walking over to the mini kitchen as she turned the sink on to wash her hands.

"Didn't expect it to be so….plain."

"It helps me to stay calm…" Mukuro admitted.

"Mukuro-chan...I've always wanted to ask this question," he chuckled as he tried to relax despite the pain of his wounds, "If you had someone you'd run away with, would you take that chance?"

"...eto…." Mukuro whispered, blushing a bit as the water poured down her hands.

"Come on...you can tell me…"

"...Makoto Naegi."

"Soka…" Kirihiko chuckled, "Ano sa...I doubt with your skills, if you did run Otou-san would ever find you. You don't have to be stuck here," he sighed, "You don't have to risk your life here. I know you're probably going to argue the same to me...but in my case, I have a reason...Fuuto is my home. For the longest time, I thought no one could love it more then me...then I met that man."

"That man?" Mukuro repeated, "...You refer to Hidari Shotaro, correct?"

"Indeed...To you, your sister, and the others, he probably doesn't seem like much. But...he will be the greatest hurdle for all of them," he chuckled, "As long as this happens in our Fuuto...victory shall be denied to them."

"You...have so much confidence in him," Mukuro noted, "You sound so...hopeful and excited."

"It took me a bit to realize how pointless it is to try and control things from my side of the table. Believing that evolution was the key to protecting my city. I never realized how much it hurt, how much I was harming Fuuto by believing in the Gaia Memories. Finding that person who gives you hope...when you find them you just want to put faith in them." he looked at Mukuro, "You know the feeling, hai? Though our situations are remarkably different, for me I found a true friend...for you, it's more...True Love?" he chuckled.

"?!" Mukuro nearly tripped at that, her face completely covered in her blush, "Eh...eh?!"

"I guess so…" he noted, "You have it bad for Makoto Naegi, don't you?"

"...Hai…" she whispered as she gave a sigh, "Whenever I see or think of him, I have this….calming feeling of hope. Hope...for a much brighter tomorrow...I…" she paused as she looked at one of her hands, "I suppose deep down...I wanted out, but my sister…" she frowned a bit as she gripped her hand, "She manipulated me...did things to me...made me kill people while praising despair…much like the massacre and what she intended to do with the Remnants of Despair."

"However, that all went belly up...when you caught the attention of the Former Kamen Rider of Fuuto…"

"Correct…" Mukuro nodded as she stepped out, "She was well prepared for what she dubbed as 'The Worst Event in Human History'."

"Oh what...was she trying to purge Japan of hope?" Kirihiko asked.

"No...This would've affected the entire world," Mukuro answered, "In her terms….somewhat think of those American movies 'The Purge'...but on a global scale while bringing in more people to join and spread despair. Even make the skies turn from blue to red."

"How strong was this Skull?" Kirihiko chuckled.

Mukuro paused as she thought back.

-Flashback-

"Ha!" Skull shouted, breaking through a wall, he swung and kicked away several figures before swinging his arm and shooting with his Magnum. He then swung his arm back as he deflected a gunshot away with his arm, "Hmm…" he turned to see Mukuro, "Kodomo ka…" he sighed.

"You're interfering…" Mukuro frowned, a combat knife ready as she glared at Skull, "You will not stop the glorious gift of despair."

"Tch...I don't know who did this to these people...but…" Skull began as a glint appeared on his helmet lens, "They're going to pay for what vile acts they put them through…"

"They've been awoken and revived...you will not…" Mukuro began before sidestepping a shot, prompting her to throw a few throwing knives at the Kamen Rider, only for him to shoot the center most knife as an explosion shook the area for a moment, "?!"

"Yamero…" he sighed, "You can't beat me...you're just a child."

"Tch…!" Mukuro growled a bit as she stepped back from him.

"Don't underestimate adults," he walked past her...and pat her head, "Kids should be in school, goofing up and being stupid...not doing things like this. Go to school, fall in love with a stupid boy, or girl...whatever works for ya." he spoke in a somber tone as he just kept walking, "Despair is overrated, so just live life kid."

"..."

-end flashback-

"...He knew how to hit where it hurt the most…" Mukuro whispered.

"I see…"

"Yes...We were still new members of Museum at the time, so we didn't know much of Skull," Mukuro added.

"That's another thing I wanna ask….Why did you two join Museum anyway?" Kirihiko asked.

"...The Despair Memory," Mukuro answered, "According to Ryubi-san, who stopped sister from executing someone to use for the plan….out of all the Gaia Memories Museum has helped produce, the Despair Memory is the most dangerous."

"How so?"

"To coin a phrase...you don't choose it….it chooses you," Mukuro stated, "According to Ryubi-san, all previous owners who attempted to use the Despair Memory went crazy...to the point they'll try and kill themselves...or try and kill everyone just to help spread more despair. Sister...it was as if it was a match made in hea...no….in hell," she whispered as she hugged herself a bit, "I remember when she first used it...I...I couldn't even breath. What I was feeling wasn't fear...anxiety...terror...or even horror...it was despair. I...I felt like I was drowning in a sea of black and white sludge with no way out…"

"Like Tou-san's Memory…" Kirihiko spoke, "Terror...everything...all I could feel was pure fear, the things I saw...if I had stayed within the area of his ability…."

"I would've died…" the two spoke in unison, blinking for a moment before looking at each other.

"...that was...coincidental…" Mukuro muttered. "No...more like...odd."

"They must use similar Gaia Memory types…" Kirihiko sighed, "Ours would be considered Mythical...theirs are abstract. As such...their power is absolutes…"

"Terror and Despair...a truly dangerous combination," Mukuro added with her own sigh, "And I was sucked into the same despair for a long time...until it happened...when Junko actually tried to kill me for her plan…another factor was meeting Naegi...before sister's Killing game start."

"Hmm?"

"It was during my time disguised as her to throw anyone off her trail…" Mukuro continued as her frown grew, "I should've seen her attempt to kill me coming."

"It seems like you had more of a reason to leave then I ever did…"

"I know...and yet…" Mukuro paused, touching her neck for a moment, "Junko has more control over me than you realize…if I did leave, she'd hunt me down...or play the 'innocent card' and reveal I was the one behind the Giboura Massacre."

"But she orchestrated it," Kirihiko argued.

"Yes...but she could make it as if she had no part in it."

"Would it matter what she said?" Kirihiko spoke, "The people you want to run away to...would they believe someone like Junko so easily?" he chuckled, "Do you really think...they would turn you away if you earnestly ran to them...maybe...stop thinking like an adult, it hasn't helped me much. Ano otoko...Hidari Shotaro...is a real idiot. But it's because of that...he can charge in and fight us so earnestly…"

"..true…" Mukuro whispered as she began to blush a bit, "And Makoto Naegi...no matter how hopeless the situation, he would turn it into a hopeful one, much like some of heh previous trials...which is why sister wants to eliminate him as soon as possible...him, Kyoko Kirigiri, and Double."

"I don't think if we kept fighting Double...and let him gather more Ultimates...we'd ever have a chance at winning," Kirihiko spoke, "The more of them...the more of you he saves...or loses...the harder he fights back."

"...true…" she whispered.

"Indee…" Kirihiko stopped as he started to cough.

"?!" Mukuro tensed up, rushing over to him in concern, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah...I'll manage," Kirihiko panted as he lowered his hand from his mouth.

"..." Mukuro said nothing, noticing the bits of blood on his hand, "...How long?"

"Hmm?"

"How long do you have?"

"...I'm...honestly unsure," Kirihiko admitted, "Each time I use Nazca...I feel it getting closer. I probably have...two more uses of the Memory..."

"Yet you intend to keep using it?" she asked.

"...It's all I have left…" he grunted, "I spent so long causing pain to Fuuto…I need to do something to alleviate it of some of what I've caused..."

"That man really did have an affect on you. It's strange...he seems like a bumbling idiot most times. But...everyone has come to rely on his strength so much."

"The Memory he seems to always pick first...is a perfect moniker for him...the Joker…" he laughed, "It makes him unpredictable."

"Maybe that's why even geniuses can't predict him."

"Heh...That is true," Kirihiko chuckled a bit before coughing.

"...I'll go make us some tea," Mukuro offered as she walked off, "You just rest up for the time being, Kriihiko-san."

"Arigatou…"

"Hmm…" Philip mused, scribbling something on a notebook, "No...rounder...chubby...but not in a fat way...sharp eyes that look angry...but still adorable. And a very floofy butt…no...no, not that much...that's more like a corgi, totally different subset of adorable pet."

"Uh...Is everything alright with him at the moment?" Hifumi asked.

"He's looking for a cat," Shotaro explained.

"...It's not a lion, is it?" Mondo asked.

"Nope. Normal cat."

"You all panicked the last time I brought a Lion cub home." Philip spoke up, "She was just teething...and your legs healed."

"She tried to eat my hair," Mondo deadpanned.

"Hm? You are looking for a regular cat this time?" Celestia asked, "Well why didn't you ask me, Philip?"

"Hmm?" Philip blinked as he looked up.

"As one cat lover to another, I know the need to wanting a feline companion," Celestia explained.

"I can't explain it," Philip spoke up, revealing a...really well done realistic drawing of the Cat they didn't know was named Mick, "I feel like I know this cat, like I put a lot of time into caring for a cat like this. Maybe that's why I keep adopting stray jungle cats."

"Abducting…" several corrected.

"Your word against mine…" Philip mumbled.

"Hmm, yes. I know this breed," Celestia noted, "They're considered one of the smarter breeds of domesticated feline. However…"

"However?" Shotaro repeated.

"They're expensive. Incredibly expensive. In terms of the American dollar, they're roughly $750 and higher for just a kitten. Philip, you may very well be from some old money if you indeed did have this as a pet prior to your memory loss."

"Well, all I have is the cat..." Philip muttered, "But if he is that expensive, then clearly I am born to a very wealthy family. Who knows, if I hadn't been turned into an Avatar for the Earth...maybe I could have been a rich-kid friend to our normal rich-kid."

"Absolutely not," Byakuya deadpanned, looking up from some paperwork.

"No yeah, I'm sure I'd still be weird," Philip nodded, "Something tells me I was always wired weird. But this does explain some...recent events." he nodded, "But if that's true, then my cat companion shall serve as a link to the truth of my past. Either that...or bring me pure joy and peace of mind...Either way seems like a positive boon."

"Maybe that's why you imbue all your gadgets with such animal-like qualities?" Akiko muttered, looking over at Toko and her giraffe-taser that was watching her write, "You just miss your kitty cat."

"Okay, we've got an image of how it looks, so maybe we can ask around Shotaro's contacts if they have an idea," Hina suggested.

"If I had a family...could they have my cat?" Philip mused out loud, "Something feels my pure hearted quest for my cat...shall lead to some deeply emotional conflict."

"And knowing us...it mostly ends up that way," Hagakure muttered from nearby.

"Ah, Hagakure, I need a fortune reading about my cat," Philip noted.

"Eh? Sure thing," Hagakure replied, "Mondo, Ishimaru, is the fire pit in the backyard set up?"

"After all the paperwork Ishimaru had me sign, it better," Akiko muttered, a phantom pain going through her dominant hand.

"It is," Ishimaru assured.

"Awesome!" Hagakure beamed as he jumped up and walked towards the door, "Not only can we do barbecues, I can also do some bone reading!"

"...Bone reading?" Shotaro repeated.

"It's easier for people to understand than using its real name: Pyro-osteomancy," Hagakure explained as they went out to the back of the building into the small backyard they had where a small fire pit was set up with several pieces of barbeque equipment set up, "Pyro-osteomancy is when seers tell the future based on the cracks in an animal bone or turtle shell either in their natural state or after having been burned. The cracks are then used to determine the future. The earliest pyro-osteomancy in China included the bones of sheep, deer, cattle, and pigs, in addition to turtle plastrons!" he got several confused looks from that last one, "...Plastrons are their shells."

"Ohh~" many of them responded, acting as if they already knew it.

"Don't act like ya knew what I said…" Hagakure grumbled as he lit the fire in the pit.

'He may be a bumbling idiot that falls for any sort of trick...but one cannot deny his abilities with the occult,' Celestia thought as Hagakure pulled out a glass container painted black and opened the top, revealing several kinds of bones and even broken shell pieces.

"Okay, Philip, just pick one bone in here and toss it into the flames!" Hagakure beamed.

"Hmm…" Philip mused, "Interesting," he looked over a few, "Yes, I have read of this the time I needed to study on that Voodoo Dopant…"

"Don't ask…" Shotaro sighed, "I felt pins all over my body for weeks."

"...You think Hagakure would be compatible with that one?" Hina whispered to the other students.

"Probably. Either that or if there's one on just Fortune Telling," Mondo agreed.

"Can we not talk about that, please?" Naegi pleaded.

"Hmm...Yes, this one shall do," Philip held up a bone that broke in such a way it looked like a large tooth.

"Toss it right in and when it starts cracking, I'll read the fortune," Hagakure stated.

Philip nodded before tossing the tooth-like bone into the flames. Several moments passed until cracks began to form on the bone's surface. Hagakure looked at the bone for a few moments, letting more cracks form, before slowly closing his eyes. A soft chuckle escaped his lips before they snapped open, revealing his pupils had shrunk to tiny dots. Philip took out a tiny camera to record this.

"Your lost feline is shrouded in the darkness of the world! Entombed within the fangs of his mighty ancestor!" Hagakure declared, "The Shinigami approaches the man lost in the sealed titans of Peru, the lost feline acting as its guide! The ancient wolf that shall fall to the might of Víðarr aides the lost man, but while able to fend off the lost feline...the ursine that has fragmented their mind shall be the blade of the Shinigami and the lost man shall breathe his last!" he swung an arm upwards as the flames of the fire pit erupted as if it was being controlled by him, "To find the lost feline, you must find the lost man and the ancient wolf where they hide amongst the tree in the forest that the elder that become terror itself does not notice and that only a hopeful wolf that reigns within the kingdom of steel and concrete will notice!" he swung his arm down while closing his eyes, the flames died out and the bone crumbled away, before opening them back up to show they had returned to normal, "...Ah! What happened to the fire! Oi, Mondo! Did you miss a step in making this!?"

"Interesting," Philip noted turning off his camera, "Now I must once again decode this, and see what books I gain."

"Our lead is a prophecy like the trial with the stupid money," Akiko sighed.

"It has helped before, and shall help again...It goes without saying but please...nobody die while I'm in my library." Philip looked over the others, "Shotaro...watch...Watch them," he emphasised.

"Oi!" said 'them' all deadpanned.

"I would like to bring up the record for my leaving to the library to examine these things...and what I come out to find," Philip pointed out, "Now then...in I go." he held his arms up as his hair flashed and he was pulled into the Gaia Library.

"...Who has eyes on Fang?" Byakuya quickly asked.

"I haven't seen it...yet," Akiko spoke as everyone quickly turned around and stood with their backs to one another to find the sentient Memory on the chance there was...a lock.

"Where could it be?" Byakuya asked.

They all then blinked, hearing a light growl sound that was more confused/interested then angry. They all turned as they saw Fang standing in the middle of their circle. It tilted its head confused, making them all jump back.

"No...sudden...moves…" Mondo spoke.

Everybody then turned to Philip when he made a noise and cupped his chin. This made them all tense and freeze up. What happens next...interest or annoyance. The answer could be what determines their fates.

"Oh~" Philip happily muttered as he kept reading.

"Phew…" they all sighed while falling over due to the stress of the tension.

=Gao?= Fang tilted its head once more in confusion.

"Hmm...No sign of him anywhere…" Ryubi whispered, sitting in his chair at the table as he stroked Mick, "Quite the conundrum, isn't it Mick?"

"Meow…"

"Yes and I know you did a good job in pursuing him."

"Meow…"

"And you...dealt with it as best you could, right?"

"...Meow…"

"Hmm…"

Mick looked around, before moving his paw and knocking off a plate, making everyone look at that as he ran the other direction. When everyone looked back at where he had been and noticed him gone, Ryubi began to chuckle.

"Seems he didn't. What time did he come back again?"

"Twelve forty-seven," Saeko replied.

"Ah, that's when he always eats lunch. It seems he's been trained to follow his schedule too well," Ryubi chuckled ,"But...Kirihiko is still out there somewhere...and we can't have someone like him out and about…"

"Plus there's the fact Mukuro has gone MIA," Saeko added.

"Hm? That is troubling..." Ryubi noted before sighing, "Ah...Why are girls that aren't my daughters so troubling?"

"She could just be out talking to those contacts he has in the black market for some new guns to tinker with," Wakana offered, "Do I need to remind you the first time she went MIA and it ended up with her being at a gun deal?"

"...Not really, no," Ryubi replied, glancing away from her scolding expression.

"Don't worry about it too much, you know she's the most loyal," Wakana sighed.

"Yes...that is true…" Ryubi muttered, "...Honestly, I prefer Mukuro over Junko. As smart as her sister can be...Mukuro is a truly loyal girl."

"Plus the fact she was used as a martyr more or less woke her up from idolizing her sister," Wakana argued...only to blink when there wasn't a scream or argument, "...huh...weird. Normally Junko would shout about that…"

"Maybe Mick took down her listening devices?" Ryubi muttered.

"No...She'd normally have one of those creepy Monokuma bots of hers pop up to argue," Wakana stated before looking around, "...huh….not even one of those are popping up…"

"Probably busy for that final trial of hers," Saeko guessed, "...ugh, speaking of her projects, father...What are we gonna do with that one project of hers involving the ones used as test subjects for her Despair Memory?"

"We may be able to find a use for them," Ryubi replied with a small smile.

"I think I have it," Philip noted, causing everyone to sigh in relief and lower their makeshift shields, "I believe 'lost' means that they use GaiaMemories…" he frowned, "Meaning someone put what I believe is my cat under the influence of one."

"Oh not the kitty!" Hina gasped.

"...Come to think of it, a dog was one of those that the stupid Zoo Memory used to attack us," Mondo recalled, "Don't defend the damn thing, Naegi."

"..." Naegi closed his mouth just as he opened to protest calling Zoo Memory 'stupid.'

"And the form it took when Naegi was used was a wolf and he is a very hopeful person, meaning we're going to use him to find where the two with GaiaMemories are that my cat is chasing," Philip stated.

"...No. Hagakure mentioned 'ancient wolf', so I doubt Zoo would have anything to do with this," Kyoko whispered as she held her chin in thought.

"Surely there must be something we are missing," Ishimaru pondered.

"...Fenrir," Toko spoke up, earning the group's attention, "If you're talking a-about an ancient wolf...why not Fenrir, the monster wolf of Norse Mythology?"

"There were two wolves mentioned," Philip reminded, "The ancient wolf that shall fall to the might of Víðarr. Víðarr is the son of Odin and the one who kills Fenrir. The other is the 'hopeful wolf that reigns within the kingdom of steel and concrete.'"

"So what does that mean?" Hina blinked.

"It means the Naegi is our key to find the Fenrir Dopant user and the one who is with them, the 'lost man,'" Philip replied, "And we know this lost man."

"We do?" Hifumi asked.

"'The man lost in the sealed titans of Peru'...the 'sealed titans of Peru' are the Nazca lines," Philip replied.

"Him…" Shotaro spoke, "So how do I use Naegi to find them?" he asked Philip.

"Simple: his Ultimate Talent," Philip replied.

"Eh?" Naegi blinked at that.

"I can work off that." Shotaro shrugged.

"Nani?!" Naegi gawked at that.

"Your luck could help us out, Naegi," Kyoko added.

"Or make it worse," Naegi argued, "Remember...my luck tends to shift from really lucky to really unlucky from time to time..."

"But if Philip is right...good or bad...it'll lead us to the clue we need." Shotaro spoke.

"That is what I say," Philip nodded, "Should I get the chains?"

"No no!" Naegi yelped as he held his hands up in defense.

"Plus...if it weren't for you during the third trial, we'd all be executed with Hifumi or Celeste going free," Kyoko added.

"...Th-That is true…"

"Come on," Shotaro spoke as he wrapped Naegi in a headlock as he dragged him out the door.

"Ah! I was gonna comply!" Naegi yelped, "Plus I already see how serious the situation is, so there's no need to drag me out!"

"Come on...we've known each other for a long time, Naegi," Shotaro argued simply, "You know this is how I do things."

"Ah...that's true…" he sighed.

"We need to get a move on, with three we can't take Shotaro's bike," Kyoko pointed out.

"I do not do sidecars," Shotaro spoke.

"I will wear you down one day!" Philip declared, "I shall have my rocket powered sidecar of action!"

"That sounds so cool from name alone," Naegi admitted.

"...Damn it. Now I can't stop thinking about a rocket-powered motorcycle," Mondo muttered.

"No sidecars!" Shotaro declared.

"Damn it!"

"You have a sister?" Mukuro asked.

"Ah…" Kirihiko replied, "I...kept her out of all of this. Didn't want her...involved…"

"...Understandable," Mukuro whispered.

"Yukie is...very much a good person, but I don't think she could handle this world," Kirihiko spoke, "So I try to protect all that we loved about Fuuto. I always thought the key to stopping corruption was to be part of it and control it. But...little did I know that...the silly, and cartoonish style of a superhero...was the real path."

"The real path?" Mukuro pondered before hearing rattling in the vent nearby, "!"

"Mmrowww…" went off in the vent.

"...You have got to be kidding me…" Kirihiko groaned.

"I forgot I brought Mick here once after taking him to his grooming appointment," Mukuro recalled...before rubbing the back of her head with a sheepish look, "Gomen nassai."

The vent cover fell to the floor and Mick hopped out of it, landing on the ground. He opened his eyes in time for the door to slam shut and the room ending up vacant. Outside, Mukuro ran down the hallway, carrying Kirihiko in a fireman's carry before a loud crash went off far behind them.

"RRRROOWWWW!"

"...Damn it," Mukuro whispered, 'I can't fight in such a closed space with Mick...I need to get outside and hide Kirihiko-niisan...but…' she paused in her thoughts as she looked back at Mick chasing them in his Dopant form, '...I'm sorry, Mick...Wakana-nee…'

The Smilodon Dopant growled as he jumped in an attempt to pounce before the doors to the stairway opened and Smilodon slammed into it. The Dopant twitched a few times before falling over, its snout scrunched up. Kirihiko and Mukuro blinked a few times in surprise before a hand reached out to the air before the owner of it slowly walked out.

"Ah! G-Gomen to whoever the door hit!" Naegi apologized, his eyes covered by a blindfold.

'Naegi!?' Mukuro thought.

'What's with the blindfold?' Kirihiko pondered.

=FENRIR=

"Eh? Fenrir?" Naegi pondered as he pulled his blindfold off to see Kirihiko being held by the wolf-like Dopant, "Ah! It is you! ...Philip was right about the blindfold." he spun around to the stairs, "Guys, I found them!" he saw no one in the stairs, "...And I lost the guys. Oh, this isn't good."

"Rrrrr…"

"And that's worse," Naegi gulped before Fenrir grabbed him and pulled him away from the door as Smilodon smashed it, "GYAH!"

"What are you...doing here?" Kirihiko asked.

"Well, it was supposed to be a simple job of finding a cat for Philip…" Naegi began as Fenrir ran off with Smilodon chasing them.

"They used your talent to try to find a cat."

"Sorta," Naegi replied.

"That...feels ironic…" Kirihiko muttered.

"Is it 'cause we're gonna be murdered by a giant killer tiger?" Naegi asked.

"Yup."

"Incorrect," Fenrir frowned, running towards the open window as she increased her running speed. She then quickly tossed the two out before diving straight out the window, grabbing the two in her fall as they landed in some bushes, "Your companions. Where are they?"

"The last thing I could see before I got a blindfold put on me was the inside of the RevolGarry," Naegi replied.

"Not much help," Kirihiko deadpanned.

"Mmm…" Naegi puffed his cheeks out in a pout.

'Focus on escaping...not on Naegi and his pout…' Fenrir thought, thankful for the fur hiding her blush.

"Rrrr…" The Smilodon Dopant growled, scraping his claws along the ground, "RAWR!" he jumped again, going over Fenrir intent on attacking its target and a witness, but its attention was diverted by a loud engine roar and the sound of a horn playing La Cucaracha, "Rrow?"

"Enjoy the treat, pussy cat!" Mondo roared as he drove the Revolgarry right into Smilodon, only for the Dopant to grab it by the front, causing it to grunt out as he skidded along the ground until he stopped, standing his ground as he caused the Revolgarry to stop, "...uh….oh shit."

"You know, this is the first time I think a Dopant has done this," Philip calmly noted.

"That so…?" Hina asked in a calm manner.

"Yup...and I think we're about to be tossed."

"Wait wh-?!" Akiko began before Smilodon lifted the Revolgarry up and flipped it over, crushing a few trees and bushes in the process, "AHH!"

"Correction...We were flipped over."

"NO SHIT!" Mondo snapped as the group that followed Naegi were dogpilled together from the Revolgarry being flipped.

"It's okay...I planned for this!" Philip declared.

"Y-you did?" they didn't believe him.

"There is another reason why I put a giant wheel on this thing…" he smirked, "Besides naming reasons!"

At that, the Revolgary's namesake began spinning. The Dopant blinked as the revolving turntable picked enough speed to drag the vehicle around and slam into him sending him flying back in shock. The Revolgary then stopped as the momentum helped flip it back to its proper orientation.

"See...I am a genius!" Philip cheered as the dogpile was flipped over.

"Noted…" Akiko grunted from beneath the pile.

"...Your friends are weird," Kirihiko deadpanned at Naegi.

"Yeah, well they are here to save our butts...so try not to underestimate Philip." Naegi argued.

"The enemy are two beastly types," Philip mused, "I'll handle this one," he told the others as he stepped out, "Fang!" he ordered.

Both Dopants were suddenly struck from behind as Fang dashed past them. Fang growled before landing in Philip's hand. The Belt then formed on his waist in a flash of light.

"Damn it, Philip…" Shotaro groaned as his belt just attached itself, "Fine, I'll play along…" he sighed leaning against a wall, he then flipped up his Joker Memory, "Ikuze, Aibou! Henshin!"

"Henshin!" Philip shouted, slotting Joker into his Driver before slotting Fang and opening the belt, so as to flip Fang fully into position.

=FANGJOKER!=

Philip growled as the armor covered him. He then rushed as he punched at the Dopants, unaware of the exact situation. Double growled as he slashed Fenrir before swinging and kicking Smilodon, taking it by surprise. He swung his left hand up and blocked a swing from Fenrir before pulling her close and slamming his head into hers, knocking her back. Double then jumped as Smilodon swung at him, only to miss.

"I think...I'm getting the hang of this…" Fang grunted, "Alright...the Tiger one seems the most aggressive...but the dog one is the unknown. I'll have to strike both as much as possible."

"Matte Philip...something seems off here. Why are two powerful Dopants fighting?"

"Well, we can just Memory Break them and figure that out later." Fang spoke as he pushed down on his Memory.

=ARM FANG!=

"Ha!" Double roared as he rushed and clashed with Smilodon, the two slashing at one another, as claws and blade clashed sending sparks flying.

The two clashed while running off, Double blocking swipe after swipe. The Rider growled as he swung his left arm and grabbed a street sign pole, using it to swing himself around and kick Smilodon across the face, knocking him back. Double growled as he landed on his feet before flipping over, twisting around as he swung with his right and used the Arm Fang blade to slash the Dopant across his shoulder. Double landed on his feet before flipping backwards and swinging his right arm up and striking Smilodon once again across the chest with his Arm Fang. Double twisted his body around before flipping forward again, and this time bringing his leg down with an axe kick that struck the Smilodon Dopant's head and slammed it face first into the ground.

Fenrir looked in shock at how well Double was doing, only to flinch as Double growled and charged at her, swinging with an attempt at her neck. She deflected his arm away before jumping back as Double tried again with a backhand swing. Double growled as he swung his arm back stopping Smilodon from attacking him from behind. The three began walking as they waited to see who would strike first. Double growled as he swung and slashed Fenrir, making her stumble back as she just barely blocked with her arms. Smilodon roared and shoulder checked Fenrir back, before swinging his clawed right arm at Double who blocked with his Arm Fang. Smilodon then grunted when Fenrir kicked his ribs making him stumble back. Double capitalized on this as he rushed and slashed Smilodon across the same spot he was kicked.

Fenrir looked to Double before flinching as he swung at her, making her back up. She pushed his next swing with his Arm Fang away before spinning around and slamming her knee to Double's back, making him stumble forward. Double lost his balance before Joker took over and instead let them stumble forward and roll forward a bit before landing on their feet. Double growled and rushed as he jumped and swung his knee at Fenrir, making her block. She punched back, only for Double to grab her fist with his left. He pulled and swung her around, before letting go and swinging a kick that struck her stomach sending her skidding back. Double cracked his neck as he raised his arms, and rushed with a barrage of punches she kept blocking. She then moved her head aside as a punch from his right almost hit her, but the Arm Fang scratched the side of her face, making her stumble back.

Double growled as he moved to attack only to be blindsided by Smilodon slashing him across the back. Double grunted before he swung to block the Dopant's claws with his Arm Fang. Double then raised his left and blocked a kick from Fenrir. The two Dopants began attacking in unison as Double blocked from both sides. Double blocked a kick from Fenrir with his left, before swinging around her and kicking his leg to strike Smilodon's arm away before he could be slashed. The Kamen Rider grunted as he blocked Fenrir's next punch with his right hand, before swinging his left leg and blocking Smilodon's claws. Double used his left hand as he tapped the Memory twice.

=SHOULDER FANG!=

His Arm Fang vanished as the Shoulder Fang grew out. The two Dopants took a moment to notice this before the Kamen Rider spun around and let go of the attacks he blocked making both Dopants lose balance and stumble forward. Double grabbed the Shoulder Fang in his right hand and spun around, swinging and slashed Fenrir making her stumble back. He flipped the blade up and caught it in his left before using it to slash Smilodon across the chest, making him stumble back. Double growled and swung his left and let go of the weapon as it flew out like a boomerang in a circular path around him to slash both Dopants in the process. Double held out his right hand as the Shoulder Fang landed in his hand and he used it to slash Smilodon, making him stumble back even further. Double growled as he spun around and tossed it, letting it strike Fenrir and knock her off her feet.

Double growled as he swung his leg and used it to stop Smilodon's next swing. He grunted, kicking the claws away before swinging his leg and kicking the Dopant again. The two growled and rushed as they tackled into one another. Both grabbed the other and used their claws to gain grip and begin a battle of power over the other. Double grunted and began slamming his left knee into Smilodon's stomach multiple times, making him growl in pain. Smilodon once more growled in pain as Double altered his footing and flipped himself and Smilodon over to the side, gaining momentum before Double used both the spin and fall to slam the Dopant into the ground first and deal most of the damage to him. The Kamen Rider growled and flipped himself over as both Dopants were slowly getting up.

Double growled and moved to get up and continue only for him to falter for a moment.

"Gh...no...no good Shotaro...I...I can't keep this up…" Fang panted suddenly, "My body...can't...keep going…"

"We gotta end this now then. Memory Break time!" Joker ordered as Double pushed down on the memory three times.

=FANG MAXIMUM DRIVE=

The final fang extended from Double's leg as it began glowing with blue fiery energy. He roared and rushed the two before jumping into the air. He lifted his leg as he began spinning. Fenrir jumped back behind Smilodon as the attack got closer.

"Fang Strizer!" Double roared as the Dinosaur head formed around him as Fenrir pushed Smilodon into the attack as it struck with a large explosion.

Everyone flinched, as the flames and smoke began to dissipate...to reveal Smilodon holding Double by his leg, the Dopant damaged...but not defeated. Double grunted in confusion as Smilodon spun him around and tossed him across the ground, causing the transformation to auto cancel and Philip was left to roll across the ground, grunting with each rotation of his body.

"Oof...oh...My everything is sore…" Philip groaned, trying to get up only for his arms to buckle and caused him to fall face first once more, "...help…"

"?!" Fenrir tensed up, "M...masaka...not even…" she began before Smilodon slashed across her chest, making her cry out in pain as she was sent flying along the ground, grunting in pain as she ended up losing her transformation.

"!" Kirihiko's eyes widened.

"Rrr…" Smilodon hissed, wiping a paw across his mouth from some blood falling from it.

"H….ah…" Mukuro gasped out, holding her chest as it bled a bit.

"?!" Naegi's eyes widened once he noticed her, "...K..Kuromu-san?"

"Is he really this powerful?" Kirihiko asked with wide eyes as Smilodon growled and aimed his attention at him.

"Mmm…" Philip groaned, trying to get up, "Mmm...Bad kitty…" he groaned as the Dopant stopped.

"...did...did it just stop?" Mondo blinked.

"...Philip-kun, try giving another command," Hina whispered to Philip.

"Wha-huh?" he asked in a groggy tone, "Is Bubba back? ...Good kitty...sit…"

The Dopant sat down.

"Go to bed…" Philip groaned before passing out from exhaustion.

The Dopant spun around and ran off on all fours, "Mrrow!"

"...I think that was his kitty," Hina noted, blinking a few times.

"What is happening!?" Akiko shouted.

"You...have to be kidding me...Mick despises being told to return to bed…" Kirihiko whispered to himself as he fell over.

"I...have...a concussion...or...maybe I am sleepy...I do not know." Philip groaned, "Greenland...is not Green!" he fell over again.

"...Was...that...is...h-" Mukuro began, trying to force herself up before she ended up coughing a bit of blood and collapsed.

"Ah! Kuromu-san!" Naegi gasped as he ran over to her.

"Is it just me...or do most girls Naegi know end up being Dopants?" Mondo muttered, earning a wooden green slipper from Akiko with the kanji for 'SHUT UP!' written on it.

"Problem for later!" Akiko ordered, "Help the wounded before the crazy cat man comes back for realizing he did something stupid!"

"Could get Philip to tell him to go to bed again," Hina noted before receiving the slipper as well, "Ite~!"

"...Okay, I'll bite," Wakana spoke after a few moments before gesturing to the Smilodon Dopant...currently curled up into a ball in Mick's tiny cat bed, "Why is he doing that?"

"I...have no idea," Saeko replied, taking a picture, "Normally, he doesn't take his naps transformed."

"It's as if...he is following an order," Ryubi muttered, "But...Mick only follows orders he likes."

"Not even Otou-sama can tell him to go to bed if he doesn't feel like it," Wakana added.

"So the question is...who could give him an order he would obey?" Saeko pondered.

"Mmm…" Philip whined, being carried on Mondo's back into the office, "I don't like my time limit~"

"It can't be helped...you're weak of body, but strong in mind," Akiko spoke as she tried to cheer him up, "At least you were useful. We found who we needed...and Naegi's mystery girlfriend...who's...a Dopant...what's up with that?"

"G-G-Girlfriend?!" Naegi gawked, his face turning pink.

"That's what you focus on?" Kyoko deadpanned as she looked over at the now-occupied bed of the unconscious Mukuro and the occupied chair of Kirihiko.

"You know you're just making yourselves an...even bigger target by bringing me...here..." Kirihiko noted.

"I'm pretty sure our win record against you guys speaks for itself," Akiko argued, "Who's the losers that keep getting their Dopants blown up by a Half-boiled and a Philip?" she teased.

"Hard-boiled," Shotaro corrected.

Kirihiko chuckled before he started to cough once more, startling most of them.

"Hifumi, tea for our guest," Celestia ordered, "Use my blend for it."

"Eh?! Uh...O-On it!" Hifumi replied as he went to the kitchen.

"You are short on time," Shotaro noted as he spotted the blood on the businessman's hand.

"How pathetic, isn't it...after all the trouble I caused...I need to be saved so much..." he muttered, "Hidari Shotaro...how can you stay on this same path so easily? To rush forward so boldly...How are you always so strong even when faced with odds so large?" he mused.

"Because Fuuto is crying…" Shotaro spoke simply as Hifumi returned with the prepared tea, "Fuuto is my city, and it has been entrusted to me by someone whom I can't let down. I have to do it, 'cause that great person whom I respected isn't here to do it. So I need to strive everyday to be worthy of taking his place."

"...Soka," Kirihiko noted, taking that information in as he took the tea, "...This person that entrusted Fuuto to you...it's Skull isn't it?"

"..."

"I thought so…" Kirihiko whispered as he looked down at his tea, "...You know, you should be thankful he stopped the Mastermind when he did."

"?" Shotaro blinked at that as everyone soon focused on him.

"I can't say much...but from what I gather from overhearing the mastermind and the head of Museum talking, he stopped this cult from spreading out…" he continued, "And it all started because of one thing….Despair."

"...the most tragic event in human history…" Naegi realized, "You mean…"

"It's a theory but yes...the Mastermind behind that little Killing Game you all are stuck in? They caused it thanks to their personal GaiaMemory...Despair."

"That...oddly makes sense." Shotaro spoke.

"It explains a lot," Philip nodded, the two partners clearly having an unspoken shared thought.

"Cult?" Hina repeated.

"Remnants...of Despair…" the group turned to see Mukuro waking up, grunting in pain as she held her chest, "People that have given their lives to worship...and spread despair across the world."

"Clearly...a problem." Philip spoke, "I don't know much of this Memory, but I can already tell its a danger. Whatever it takes it must be destroyed."

"If it can…" Mukuro whispered, earning the group's attention once more, "Out of all the Gaia Memories Museum has...there are two that are extremely dangerous. Despair...and Terror..." she stated before she coughed a bit.

"Easy now, Kuromu-san…" Ishimaru advised, "You do not want to reopen your wounds."

"Despair and Terror…" Philip mused.

"I've heard of that one before," Shotaro spoke, "Terror...It was something the Boss talked about with his secret benefactor...and ours…"

"Shroud?" Philip asked, "Soka...Shroud and Skull must have been working together to destroy Terror!" he realized, "That's why she gave him such a powerful Memory, and why she chose a man who by all accounts was superhuman! Shotaro, it makes sense now; Skull was meant to be the weapon to take down Museum!"

"What?" Mukuro blinked.

"But now…" Shotaro frowned.

"Since Skull is no longer amongst us...it's our job to pick up where he left off," Philip added.

"That's right." Shotaro nodded, a smirk growing on his face, "But given how they talk, it's gonna be hard as hell…"

"It can't be as bad as dealing with our friends' antics 24-7," Philip chuckled, "Besides...I have you Aibou, so I won't worry."

"...easy for you to say…" Mukuro whispered as she managed to get up, "Unlike you...I have no one to rely on...not after trying to defend Kirihiko-san once Museum finds out…"

"Your stupid aren't you?" Philip asked with a smile.

"Wh-what?" Mukuro blinked.

"You claim to have no one...but...your Naegi's secret lover aren't you?" Philip asked, making her blush, "Hm...yes" he turned to Naegi, "Yes the classic teenager signs of deep...deep sexual tension...also proof you are a little stupid. You have Naegi...and if you join us, you'll have us. So...not seeing the problem here…" he leaned in suddenly making her lean back, "Refute my logic?" he challenged.

"Who let Philip study teenage romance novels?!" Akiko demanded.

Everyone turned to the only two writers amongst them, who in panic blamed one another. Akiko's slippers whacked them both.

"It is important!" Philip declared, "Do you realize you are all young adults in the throes of puberty! At any moment...I could become Uncle Philip! I must be ready to see the signs...and sabotage them! For I am the only high maintenance creature in this building!"

"Yeah that tracks…" Shotaro sighed.

"I'm still waiting for a certain someone to try and tell me I'm wrong." Philip turned to Mukuro.

"...you seriously deal with this 24/7?" Kirihiko whispered to Naegi.

"Mostly...Shotaro is immune by now," Naegi explained.

"Refute me!" Philip declared more dramatically to Mukuro.

"..." the red-faced Ultimate Soldier stared...before fainting.

"I demand satisfaction!" Philip demanded.

"Oh my…" Celestia whispered while hiding her blush behind a sleeve.

"S-satisfaction…" Toko mumbled, her nose starting to bleed.

"Philip!" Shotaro called out, getting his attention, "You win."

"Victory for Philip! Donuts for all!"

"Yes!" Hina cheered.

"No arguments!" Philip cut off Kyoko and Akiko, "Raid the Donuts shop! Away my crew!"

"YOSHA!" Hina declared as she and Philip rushed out.

"Ahh, Philip! M-and they're gone…" Naegi whispered with a sweatdrop.

"They'll be back...and sugar crashed…" Shotaro sighed, "But just let them go...it's safer to let them get some energy back, especially Philip. He stressed his body out too much in that fight." a thud went off outside, "..."

"Hina~! Carry me to the donuts~!" Philip pleaded outside, many still inside developing sweatdrops.

"See? Nothing to worry about." Shotaro sighed.

"...duly...noted," Kirihiko whispered, 'This….this is the famous detective agency that's been giving Enoshima and Museum so much trouble…well, never judge a book by its cover I guess…they've beaten us so much...so that saying holds up.'

"Hmm...maybe this...or that...no no...maybe this…" Junko muttered as she typed away at her keyboard, completely focused on the screen as she went over multiple plans, "No no...they'll expect that...they'll see that coming…"

"What are you doing up so late?" Wakana asked, standing in the doorway as she was dressed in her nightgown, "It's 2 in the morning...and I have an important show to do…"

"Buzz off. Working on a new plan," Junko waved off, about to get back to her computer before she stopped, "...actually, I could use your little help, Wa-ka-na."

"...and why would I…"

"Because I know you know where Mukuro is," Junko grinned as she turned to face her.

"...you're insane…"

"Yes, but...I noticed something…" Junko stated as she rolled over to her in her swivel chair, "Out of those that were affected by the old man siccing Mick on Mr. Former Ultimate Black Market Dealer...you and Mukuro were worried for him the most, even if you couldn't show it."

"...does this go anywhere soon...I'm pretty, and sleep is important to pretty people...I mean look at my smooth face...and look at the stress signs all over yours…" Wakana yawned.

"Eh. Nothing a good bath can't fix," Junko shrugged, "But anyway...I need a little something to help drive both Mukuro and Kirihiko out."

"...You want to use me as bait, don't you?"

"Yup."

"...pass," Wakana deadpanned as she turned, about to walk off before a collar was forced onto her neck, "?!"

"Upupupu….who says you have a choice?" Junko grinned darkly while holding up the Claydoll Memory, "Whether you want it to happen or not...someone's about to die, and you're gonna be the main reason behind it."

"...Ugh…" she groaned, "Fine...but I have one thing to say to you…"

"Yeah what-?"

"Bitch slap." Wakana slapped Junko with...amazing force and sent her stumbling and falling over backwards.

"...bluegh...emphasis...on bitch…" Junko groaned before she fell unconscious, "Bleck…"

"Bye bitch~" Wakana walked off, "See ya in the morning." Mick walked to the door and looked at the end results, before snickering to himself in a chuffing manner as he followed Wakana.

"Mmm…" Mukuro groaned as she began to wake up, the morning sun starting to beam down on her from a crack in the window shades. As she awoke, she noticed everyone else was sleeping...with Philip and Hina sleeping on top of a massive mound of donuts.

"Mmm...no sugar...I love you...why?" Philip muttered as Hina instinctively began patting his head, "...mmm~"

"ZZZzz! N...no...you stay away from my crystal ball…" Hagakure snored while resting on top of Hifumi's stomach, "Buddha?" he asked in a half asleep manner, "Your belly is like a giant majestic gong…"

"Mm...why yes, Togami-sama….I bathed just like you wanted…" Toko whispered in her sleep, sleeping in a small sleeping bag that was zipped up all the way, "Now we can date...and have twenty kids."

"..." Mukuro just sweatdropped a bit at that as she slowly got up out of bed, doing her best to ignore the pain as she slowly began to sneak out.

"It won't do you any good…"

"..." Mukuro said nothing as she slowly looked over at Kirihiko, who was also awake at the moment, "...trap?"

"No. I just had a feeling that if either of us tried to sneak out…" Kirihiko paused, looking over to see Fang resting near Philip and Hina, "Their 'guard dog' would wake up and drag us back in."

Fang growled as if agreeing to that statement while in his resting mode.

"Fang...remember don't go for the throat...they are weak from our kicking their butts…" Philip mumbled.

=Gao…=

"...noted," Mukuro whispered as she sat back down, knowing how dangerous the Fang Memory was alone after witnessing it in battle against the Arms Dopant.

"Though...what were you planning on doing in your condition?" Kirihiko asked.

"...I needed...to think."

"Think?"

"On my choices in life…and where I go from here."

"Ah...I can relate. Lucky for you...you have a lot more time than I do…"

"...they'll come and search for me, you know," Mukuro pointed out, "Make sure they and their secrets remain hidden."

"Yes...that is true…" he grunted, "But it seems they don't know everything yet…and as far as it seemed, Double defeated you and took you prisoner." he revealed, "If you were to escape, it seems like you escaped enemy capture and will be welcomed back."

"You and I both know they wouldn't fall for that," Mukuro muttered.

"And who is this 'they' you keep mentioning?"

"...how long?" Mukuro sighed, looking to the left to see Kyoko leaning near the wall.

"For a bit…" Kyoko answered, shooting her a suspicious look, "Funny how two members of Museum are being targeted by one of their own...and yet you bring up this 'they' to avoid spilling who they are….and I assume this 'they' you bring up...is the Mastermind behind the Killing Game?"

"..."

"...you're implying way too much," Kirihiko whispered.

"Oh am I?" Kyoko questioned, "There is another thing I wish to bring up...I did a bit of research within the school, and thinking back on it...there were in truth sixteen of us chosen for this Killing Game with one remaining hidden...am I not wrong, Murkuro Ikusaba?"

"?!" Mukuro tensed up slightly at that.

"At first I thought you were the Mastermind, but the fact you were fighting to protect Kirihiko against that one Dopant makes that theory iffy," Kyoko continued.

"I see...why you work so well with the Detective of the office...while he is passionate...you are the smarter one…" Kirihiko grunted, "You really are an interesting group…"

"Even if most of us don't have powers like Double, it's not wise to underestimate us," Kyoko stated.

"...I am not surprised at you figuring it out first," Mukuro sighed, "Even with your memory loss, your Talent just can't be suppressed."

"You know what my Talent is," Kyoko frowned.

"Isn't it obvious?" Kirihiko asked, gesturing to everything.

"...so I am the Ultimate Detective," Kyoko whispered.

"You sound surprised…" Kirihiko noted, "Did you doubt your talent?"

"No. I had a feeling that was my talent after working with Shotaro," Kyoko answered, shaking her head, "And as time went on...some memories came back on my family, and yet….nothing on my father…"

"..."

"...you two know something, don't you?" Kyoko questioned with narrowed eyes.

"..." Murkuro said nothing as she hung her head, "I'm sorry…"

"...What happened to the principal of Kibougamine?" Kyoko questioned, walking over to Mukuro as she glared right at her, "What happened to my father?"

"...I think if she did…" Kirihiko spoke up as he managed to stand up, "The Mastermind would activate something in her…"

"?"

"He's right…" Mukuro whispered, earning Kyoko's attention, "As a contingency plan...if I ever was compromised and captured for info on the Mastermind's real name, they'd activate the poison bomb in me."

"...Philip could make an anti-poison th-"

"One for a poison made from the venoms of the planet's most deadly creatures? Ones I had to hunt for the Mastermind while withholding why I needed to collect such poison?"

"Philip is really amazing." she argued.

"ZzzzZZZzzz...if you touch my book again, I'm gonna spank you with a turkey leg…" said Philip snorted in his sleep.

"No more turkey…I'm already stuffed…" Hifumi mumbled in his sleep.

"Disco janai...ya funk-less turkey…" the Ultimate Clairvoyant yawned.

"Yes...a genius…" Mukuro mumbled.

"They've pulled off miracles before," Kyoko argued proudly.

"He seems more like a pet…" Kirhiko added.

"True...but he beat both of you." she reminded them.

"...She has a point," Mukuro sighed, looking around a moment before stopping on Naegi, "...When you begin the investigation at the school for the final trial, tell Naegi this...look at the photos closely."

"I understand." Kyoko nodded.

"Thank you…" Mukuro nodded before a buzzing went off, prompting her to reach for her phone before she tensed up at the message, "...damn it."

"What's wrong?" Kirihiko asked.

"The Mastermind's onto us…" she whispered, "And they're using Wakana as bait to lure both of us out."

"Come again?" Philip asked as he shot up.

"Gh?!" the three that were awake tensed up in surprise before Philip took Mukuro's phone.

"'If you want to see Wakana-hime okay, come to the park...and be sure to have your Gaia Memories waiting. The Mastermind…' and they used an anonymous number too, so we can't trace it back," Philip noted.

"Of course…" Kyoko sighed.

"What?"

"Wake up!" Philip declared as he put some earmuffs on Hina and began banging a pair of cymbals, the resulting sound making the others all scream and wake up suddenly, "Wake up! Wakana-hime is in danger! Get up or suffer me really going all out on a subject! It will be this BDSM you all refuse to let me look up at that!"

"No!" Shotaro snapped, rushing up and smacking Philip with Akiko's slipper.

"Uncalled for…" he groaned from the ground.

"Very much called for," Shotaro argued, "Now explain…"

"Wakana-hime was kidnapped by the Mastermind of the Killing Game and wants Kirihiko and Kuromu…" Philip began.

"Mukuro," Kyoko corrected.

"You liar!" Philip pointed at Mukuro, "Wait...no you didn't...it was an anagram pseudonym. More than likely for self protection."

"Correct," Mukuro answered.

"...wait, then…!"

"If she tried, then it would set off the poison bomb the Mastermind planted into her without her consent," Kirihiko cut in.

"Seriously?" Shotaro raised a brow

"..." Philip scratched his chin for a moment before walking off, "I think I can fix that...gonna need a real big needle though...and sadly all mine are broken on account of some people not liking needles."

"They're evil in your hands!" said people barked.

"Why does that worry me so?" Mukuro whispered.

"Shh child...I can't help if you don't do as I say," Philip hushed her, "But priorities! We must save Wakana-hime!"

"Hold it," Naegi spoke up, "If this is the Mastermind behind the Killing game...there's most likely a chance they have a trap set up for us."

"True," Shotaro and Philip nodded simply.

"But you're still going…" Akiko sighed.

"Of course we are," Shotaro sighed.

"We are the Kamen Rider," Philip smiled.

"It's our job to protect people," Shotaro added, "Also, if this really is the Mastermind...oh we have some 'words' to say to them."

"It's probably for the best if we went on our own," Philip added, "If it is a trap, Shotaro can fight out way much easier knowing we don't have to worry for all of our friends." he smiled, "We'll be back in time for brunch, so wait up for us minna!"

"And off they go," Byakuya muttered as Shotaro and Philip ran out...before Philip came back and caught both Mukuro and Kriihiko in a net before dragging them out, "..."

"That's our Philip," Akiko sighed.

"Huh?" Hina muttered as she raised her head, "What happened….and why can't I hear anything?"

"Favoritism…" most muttered.

"...Mmm," Hina shrugged before falling back asleep.

"...I seriously can't believe I'm doing this," Wakana muttered as she was tied up to a chair in the middle of the park.

"Just do it!" Monokuma snapped, "Cause you knocked me the hell out last night and now I'm dealing with your stupid ring mark on my face!"

"...It was just an emerald…" Wakana countered, "It's not like it was my diamond ring...which spikes out…"

"W-wait...you have a pimp slap ring?"

"...I need to have some fun."

"...I'm starting to consider if you're the trollish sister and not Saeko," Monokuma muttered before a revving sound was heard, "Oh ho! Here they come!" he exclaimed before rushing over to some bushes.

"?" Wakana blinked before the Hardboilder skid to a halt right near her, "?! That….was fast."

"...I smell ursine," Philip whispered, hopping off the bike while plopping Mukuro and Kirihiko onto the ground, "...Monokuma's here."

"Had a feeling something like this would happen," Shotaro muttered, "Oi, bear! We know you're out here! Show yourself or else!"

"Upupupupu!" Monokuma laughed as he jumped out, "I knew you and your book nerd wouldn't pass this up, ya stupid Half-boiled detective!"

"Hard-boiled!" Shotaro snapped back.

"HALF!"

"HARD!"

"...HARD!"

"Finally you admit it!"

"ACK! I've been reversed Bugs Bunnied!" Monokuma freaked.

"I live with a Philip! You gotta be more clever than that!" Shotaro laughed.

"It's true...I did that a lot." Philip mused.

"Hpmh! Fine then!" Monokuma huffed as he stepped forward a bit, "And since Mukuro is here...upupup...I called that shit! She betrayed Museum! And for what..to rescue someone aimed for death by the leader? Upupup...oh such heart wrenching despair…"

"Who?" Shotaro and Philip asked.

"Huh?" Monokuma blinked.

"We captured her when we stumbled upon Kirihiko and a weird cat man." Shotaro explained.

"...Oh so she got captured eh?" Monokuma noted before holding up a switch, "Well..can't let any juicy secrets spill now, can we~?"

"?!" Mukuro tensed up at that.

"Hmm…" Wakana muttered before suddenly kicking Monokuma, sending him stumbling forward and tumbling towards Shotaro and Philip who both kicked him back sending him slamming off things until plopping on the floor in front of Wakana.

"...Upupupu…" Monokuma chuckled in a more...dark manner as he got up, "Be careful, Wakana-hime…" he said as he slowly turned towards her with his red eye glowing, "You don't want that bomb on your neck to go off, do you?"

"?!" Wakana tensed up at that, 'SHE PUT A COLLAR BOMB ON ME?!'

"Gh...Damn it, stop!" Kirihiko shouted, managing to get the net off himself and Mukuro as he got up, "She has nothing to do with this!"

"Oh that is where you're wrong!" Monokuma laughed as he turned to face him, "She felt guilty about what happened to you, so she decided to keep you secret...well guess what? Because of you, she might die unless you turn yourself in...or better yet…" he paused as he pointed at Mukuro, "You and her kill each other…"

"?!"

"Oh ho ho~ Oh the despair that'll come from it...one having to kill someone they trusted while one watches two beloved members of their family fight to the bloody death!" Monokuma laughed darkly, "Oh the despair one of them will feel...oh it will be delicious~"

"Y-you're insane!" Wakana shouted, actually starting to get nervous.

"You-" Monokuma grunted as Philip stepped on him as he walked over to Wakana and began messing with the collar.

"Hmm...and this...and that...and…" he pulled a pin from his hair as he began doing something and took the collar off and tossed it away.

"What?!" Monokuma shouted, "How did…"

"You think I didn't expect you to have traps in place?" Philip smirked, "I studied your MO on the bike ride here and prepared the knowledge needed, such as how to unlock death traps. I also slapped a signal blocker on that girl's neck while on the way here…" he took the switch from Monokuma and clicked it...and nothing happened, "You can't activate it as long as it's on her neck. But why do you ask? Well...by stopping your plans, I'm denying despair. In fact...what would you call this?"

"...The despair of failure…" Monokuma whispered, making Philip and everyone else blink, "Yes...even when I lose, I still feel a nice...generous amount of despair...oh it is blissful~"

"...Okay ….this mastermind is more messed up then I thought," Shotaro whispered.

"N-Not what I planned…" Philip spoke as he walked Wakana away, "But...it's better than the alternative."

"Agreed…" Wakana whispered, trying her best to calm down, 'I swear if she comes out of that stupid final trial alive...I am going to murder her. Gomen, Philip-kin, but she deserves it.'

"Now then...since you are all here at once…" Monokuma whispered as he got up, noticing Mick hiding in the trees in his Dopant form, "...I can get all my eggs in one basket...or in this case, all hopes…" he paused as he began to shut down, "In one...s-s-soul cccccccrushing….despaiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrr…"

At that, a ball of plasma destroyed Monokuma, making everyone tense as the explosion knocked them all off their feet. They all looked up at the figure floating down towards them.

"Stupid bear...This is a waste of time…" Taboo spoke as she floated down, "If you can't trust the help to do it...then you have to do it yourself. And what a help you have been, separating the people I want alive to one area...and the people I want dead...to another…" she turned to Shotaro, Kirihiko and Mukuro.

"...Kirihiko-san, run," Mukuro whispered, slowly reaching into her sock as she gripped something.

"Not in y-"

"GO!" Mukuro shouted as she threw a combat knife at Taboo, who used her two index fingers to catch the blade.

"Hmph. You honestly think th-" Taboo began before she heard a beeping sound, prompting her to look at the knife as she noticed the butt of the hilt beeping, "?! A B-"

*BOOM!*

"GH!" Taboo grunted as she began falling to the ground, only to stop half way as she repositioned herself in the air, "You little…!"

=FENRIR=

Taboo tensed as Fenrir burst through the smoke, her arms crossed as she slashed her claws across Taboo's chest, making her grunt as she flew back. Taboo growled as she formed a cluster of plasma balls as they shot forward at Fenrir forcing her to dodge side to side to avoid them.

"Mangy mutt...we should have left you both in the streets…" Taboo groaned forming more of her energy attacks.

"And if you did, even more blood would've been spilt!" Fenrir countered as she jumped up to dodge more of the energy attacks, swinging her arms out as she sent out a flurry of combat knives, "A genocide would've happen, one not even Skull could have fought back, nor one Museum could control!"

"Don't talk to me like I don't know how to stomp out her games at any time," Taboo growled as she fired a blast from her hand destroying all the knives flying at her and blasting Fenrir, knocking her down to the ground in the process, "Don't think we can not control all...Even then...there are others you couldn't cross even if you tried…" multiple orbs of plasma formed around her before they instead began flashing before unleashing barrages of smaller energy bolts that pelted Fenrir, keeping her pinned to the ground.

"Gr…" Fenrir grunted out before she managed to roll out of the way of the energy bolts, digging her claws into the ground before she quickly raised them up, unleashing a large x-shaped claw wave that slammed into Taboo, sending her nearly falling to the ground.

"Now you've done it…" Taboo growled, "All I've worked for...won't be ruined by a stupid little brat!" she formed an exceptionally large orb of energy before condensing it down to a smaller size, she then aimed it at Fenrir before blasting it forward.

Fenrir blinked as the orb suddenly began expanding as it drew near, making evasion impossible. It was then a blur figure suddenly tackled into her, sending her flying back just as the orb burst in a massive explosion.

"?!" Fenrir's eyes widened as she realized who had gotten in the way...it was Nazca, who stood there as he prepared to take the brunt of the attack, "K...Kirihiko-san!"

"AH!" Nazca cried out as the explosion swallowed him. Flames surrounded him as he fell to his knees, his sword knocked out of his hand and before it planted itself in the ground.

"Oh...so you survived that…" Taboo noted, "That blast would have killed anyone for sure."

"Gh…" Nazca grunted as he forced himself up, panting heavily as he stood before Taboo.

"You disappointed me. I thought I finally found someone who could help me accomplish my goals." Taboo spoke with a sigh, "If you'd just kept doing what I wanted...this wouldn't have happened."

"I can't...keep hurting Fuuto...we wanted…"

"Ah...still such an annoying thing, relationships...the other person never does what you want in the end. Here I thought I finally found someone who got that. I even staked a lot by bringing you into the family. But in the end, you just ruined all my plans," she raised her hand up, forming another sphere, "The sad thing is for once I think I actually started to like my plaything. But men are easily replaceable in this world." she fired the plasma sphere at Nazca.

=CYCLONE JOKER!=

"HA!" Double shouted, jumping before Nazca as he kicked the sphere away.

"Kamen Rider?" Nazca asked.

"Why are you interfering...I'm taking enemies of yours off the table!" Taboo snapped.

"Shut up." Joker spoke.

"The pathetic way you speak has really riled us up." Cyclone sighed.

"What?!"

"A black heart like yours is one which has caused much pain to people in our beloved Fuuto. The tears of our city come from people like you." Double spoke up as he pointed at Taboo in much the same manner as the Rider before him making her flinch, "Saa, omae no tsumi o kazoero!"

"...fine…" Taboo growled as she held her hand out, forming another giant fireball, "I'll deal with you all personally a-!" she began before a dagger nicked her wrist, making her wince in pain while dismissing her attack, "Tch! Ungrateful mutt…!"

"Mmm…" Fenrir growled as she stood defensively before Nazca.

"Leave this to us. It's our job to defend after all." Cyclone spoke as Double rushed forward.

"...understood," Fenrir nodded a bit.

"You little…!" Taboo began before she flew out of the way of Double's kick.

Double swung around as he kicked again making her back off. She floated up only to flinch as a gold light changed Double.

=LUNA JOKER!=

Double's arm stretched and grabbed her before pulling down and slamming her into the ground. He flicked his wrist before swinging and using his own arm like a whip to strike her multiple times. Taboo growled as she formed another sphere of plasma.

=CYCLONE METAL!=

Double spun around as he took the Metal Shaft and swung in time to knock her own plasma ball into her, sending her tumbling backwards across the ground. She righted herself enough to stop, only to be struck across the face, once, then twice, and a third time, a fourth a fifth, a sixth and so on as strike after strike hit her, the wind picking up with each rotation of the Metal Shaft before Double stopped his next swing just short...only for the accumulated wind to keep its momentum going and slash Taboo, making her skid back again.

=HEAT TRIGGER=

She looked up only for a ball of fire to strike her as once again she was sent flying back. Fireball after fireball hitting and exploding on impact. She grunted as she formed a series of plasma balls that all flew at Double. The Rider jumped back letting them hit the ground and explode. He flipped back, pushing off with his free arm as he avoided another burst of exploding plasma spheres. He flipped through the air letting a few fly over him. As he was spinning through the air, he raised his arm and fired off a powerful blast of fire which struck Taboo making her grunt in pain as she fell out of the air while covered in flames.

=LUNA METAL!=

Double grabbed the Metal Shaft as one end extended. He twisted around and swung the staff as the end lengthened like a whip and struck Taboo just as she was getting up. He swung again as lash after lash struck her making sparks fly. Double stepped and spun around, swinging the whip and hitting her across the face, as he did he wrapped the length of his weapon around his torso, he spun around before twisting his body and pulling on his Metal Shaft making the whip unfurl from around him and strike her again with even more momentum. The strike sent her stumbling across the ground.

"This…" Nazca spoke, "Is how the Kamen Rider fights for Fuuto…" he watched as Double held the edge in skill.

"He gives it...everything he has...for Fuuto," Fenrir added as she watched on, "To bring the people hope…to fight against those that would harm this city..."

=HEAT JOKER!=

"Ha!" Double shouted, landing a punch across Taboo's face, an explosion of fire sending her stumbling back, "You talk a lot of hot stuff...but you don't seem all that strong."

"How dare you...you annoying little pest...all you do is ruin all our work…"

"Of course we do...We're the Kamen Rider of Fuuto, and just like the last one, we will appear to stop your schemes."

"You talk like you bastards own Fuuto...like it's your own little kingdom to mess around with. Well we won't stand by and let that happen. You have no right to mess with the lives of Fuuto's people!"

"Be silent! You don't understand anything! It's so easy for fools like you to say such lines, but that's not how the world works!" she snapped.

"Then we'll break your world...we'll break it down till it can't exist, and we'll keep fighting for our world." Double declared landing another flaming punch to Taboo, making her stumble back a bit, "We refuse to let the city we love, the city our friends live in, to be tainted by your games and desires anymore." Double clenched his fist as the flames grew brighter and brighter.

"Rah!" Taboo growled as she formed a large number of plasma spheres which she made rain down around Double. The ground was obscured by explosions and dust and debris being flung into the air.

=CYCLONE TRIGGER!=

Double roared as he rushed out of the smoke as he unleashed a machine gun barrage of wind bullets which pelted Taboo, making more sparks fly as she staggered back.

'It's strange...in prior engagements, those bullets were not as effective,' Fenrir observed, 'But...they're stronger. The ammunition seems...condensed.'

"Heh...Fuuto no Kaze...The winds are answering the unaired plea…" Nazca whispered.

"The wind?" Fenrir repeated as she looked over at him.

"Don't you...feel it…?"

"Feel it?" Fenrir repeated as one shot knocked Taboo down low enough for…

=CYCLONE METAL=

...The Metal Shaft to slam her into the ground with a burst of pressurized winds, breaking the ground under her. She bounced up only for another swipe of the shaft striking her, sending her crashing into the ground once more and breaking it further. Yet, Fenrir did not fully focus on the blows...rather, it was on the pinwheels hung about the buildings. Each one wasn't blowing in the same direction...but we're actually blowing in the direction of Double. Whenever he moved, it was as if the rotating pinwheels would follow, as if they were guiding the winds instead of being blown by them.

"...I feel it now...it's the winds of Fuuto itself," Fenrir whispered, "The cries of those who want to be free of their corrupt cycle...those who want a glimpse of hope in the overwhelming despair engulfing them...this…" she paused as she focused on Double, "This is what Double feels…"

"Orya!" Double shouted, swinging the Metal Shaft and striking Taboo again.

"I...am getting tired of this...you think it's so easy to act on your own desires? You have no idea the work it takes to control this stupid little town...all it takes…" Taboo growled, forming a massive sphere of plasma energy, "Stupid ideals like those of a child have no place in the real world!" the sphere doubled in size, "I won't be denied all I've worked for...all I've sacrificed because a bunch of kids got cocky and think they can save the world!"

"Maybe I am just a kid…" Double spoke in both voices as he held up his Joker Memory, "But that doesn't mean I don't understand the world. I understand its kindness and its cruelty as much as any adult. The only difference is I'm going to fight to change it! This is my city! And we want you and your kind out!"

=CYCLONE JOKER!=

"Aibou, it's time to get weird."

"Ooh...I love it when you say that~"

With that, Double took the Cyclone Memory out and slotted it into the Maximum Slot, before tapping it.

=CYCLONE - MAXIMUM DRIVE!=

"They're using Cyclone?" Monokuma asked in disbelief, peeking out from a nearby manhole, "I thought they only used the left half ones!"

"Saseru ka!" Taboo shouted as she fired the massive plasma sphere at Double.

Nazca grunted as he stumbled forward and grabbed his sword. He blurred forward before jumping into the air. He roared and swung down, the blade meeting with the sphere of plasma energy. Everyone gasped as a massive explosion went off, the shockwave sending Nazca flying off and tumbling along the ground. His Dopant form faded away and his Gaia Memory was flung into the distance. Taboo growled as she fired off another barrage of plasma blasts at Double in hopes to strike the Rider down. She gasped as the smoke cleared as the blasts were all sliced apart.

"Ha…" Double growled, holding up Nazca's sword in hand. He swung again, cutting through the last Plasma Sphere. The Cyclone side began glowing as his muffler extended out. The armor began glowing as green breezes of air encircled his arm.

Double pushed off the ground as a powerful gust of wind carried him into the air. He swung the sword as he cut through another plasma ball fired at him.

"B...bakana…!" Taboo whispered in worry as she tried tossing another plasma ball, only for Double to cut through it as well. "How….HOW!?"

"HA!" Double roared as his muffler flapped and pushed him aside as he curved around Taboo, his leg pushed and sent him flying back at Taboo, "Cyclone Nazca's Retribution!" Double swung as he slashed through Taboo, the blade glowing green as it took in Cyclone's energy.

Taboo grunted as a green gash formed along her body. Double spun around as he flipped the sword before grunting as he tossed it, letting the blade pierce through her. Double grunted as he kicked his Cyclone leg out and launched himself forward. He rolled forward before aiming his leg out as the wind began condensing around his right leg. Double shot forward as the tornado of green tinted wind formed a cone around him. The Rider roared as his kick struck the handle of Nazca's sword. An explosion went off as the sword was pushed all the way through. Double landed and skidded across the ground as the explosion grew larger.

The explosion died down as Taboo fell to the ground and out of her Dopant form, her Gaia Memory clattering on the ground near her as she struggled to stand up.

"It doesn't matter how hard you work and try. If you're out to hurt my city and its people, you'll fail countless times." Double spoke up, "You're not even worth finishing...you're going to jail." the Rider spoke in disdain as he walked off.

"...he really did it…" Fenrir whispered.

"I never...had any doubt…" Kirihiko grunted as he managed to push himself up.

"...what of you? Are you ok?" Fenrir asked in concern.

"He is going to say he's fine," Cyclone whispered.

"I know…" Joker sighed.

"I'm fine...honestly a bit relieved to be alive somewhat," Kirya chuckled a bit before coughing.

"...you lie," Fenrir frowned as she canceled her transformation, "You used up what you could muster to transform one last time."

"Only t….ahh. Too tired to argue…" Kirihiko whispered as he looked down

"Why…?"

"For Fuuto...for the chance maybe what I felt was returned, because...I wanted to just for a moment, know what it felt like to really defend my beloved Fuuto." he explained, "I felt it...I felt what it means to be the one Fuuto favors. Just for a moment...I saw it, I felt it, Fuuto's love for the Kamen Rider." he chuckled as Double walked over, "He who takes on the title...is the one Fuuto supports to defend its people." his skin began glowing, the glow spreading across his hand like cracks. Small specs of light began falling from his body to their shock.

"?! O-oi…!" Joker began as Double rushed over to Kirihiko.

"You...you're…" Mukuro began as her eyes widened a bit.

"The Nazca Memory is a golden type, its stress on his body's cellular structure is severe. It's possible his body can no longer even support itself. In other words...he is falling apart," Cyclone explained, "There is no cure or remedy for this phenomenon."

"...heh...so this is how I go out…" Kirihiko chuckled weakly as a few more cracks began to appear on him, "...in a sense...I had a feeling this was coming…"

"Oi…" Joker whispered before Kirihiko pulled out a letter and held it up to him.

"I...have a sister…" Kirihiko explained, "Can...can you make sure...she gets this?"

"..." Neither side of Double said anything as his Joker half began to ball up his fist, giving a shaky breath before Double gave a small nod as he took the letter.

"Thanks…" Kirihiko smiled weakly before looking over at Mukuro next, "And you….I hope you'll find a way to happiness…"

"..." Mukuro said nothing as she seemed to hold her head down sadly, a look of sadness and regret growing on her face as her own hands balled up...as if she was paying respect to a fellow soldier...and trying to keep her emotions in check. She was about to say something before she felt something wet hit her hand, making her tense up for a moment before she felt something trailing down her cheek, "...tears?"

Kirihiko chuckled, the cracks growing before managing to get his ascot off and offered it.

"?! Your ascot…" Mukuro whispered, unaware of more tears leaking from her eyes "But...you never part with it…"

"Not like...I can take it with me…" Kirihiko whispered as more and more cracks appeared on his person, "You are an awkward but sweet girl, I hope you can learn from my mistake." he smiled as he pushed it into her hands, "Find something...worth protecting," he spoke as his hand began falling apart into specs of light.

"...worth...protecting…" Mukuro whispered, looking down at the scarf in her hands as the tears never stopped.

"...it feels nice today…" Kirihiko whispered, the rest of his body turning into more specs of light as they flew into the wind, "The winds of Fuuto…" he then looked out at the sun as more and more of him began to fade away, "I'm happy to feel it...one last time…"

Double said nothing as the wind blew in with a strong gust, pushing his muffler to the side, the last specs of Kirihiko taken away by Fuuto's winds. Forever making him part of the Windy City.

"...Saraba...Kirihiko-san…" Mukuro whispered as she stood up, her tears blowing in the wind as she hung her head in respect...and sadness.

"Ja ne…" Double spoke, "Enjoy the winds of Fuuto."

"..." Mukuro said nothing as she began to walk away.

"And where are you going?"

"...Unsure...but...I may leave Fuuto," Mukuro whispered, "I've...done too much harm to this city…"

"I don't want to have to tell my friend his Girl skipped town on him," Joker chuckled, causing her face to go bright red.

"W-w-w-what?!"

"Are you not in a sexually intimate relationship with our goofy friend Naegi-kun?" Cyclone asked bluntly.

"You mean Romantic…" Joker deadpanned.

"I know the signs...it was clearly sexual…" Cyclone argued.

"...St-Stop it," Mukuro spoke, shaking her head to fight off the heavy blush, "I need to leave...I betrayed Museum…"

"If you need protection; you can stay with us," Cyclone offered.

"Denied…" Mukuro sighed, "The Mastermind would activate the poison in me the moment I step back in there."

"Counter," Cyclone replied before tapping the collar on Mukuro's neck, "No bombs going off from remote activation. Can't do anything about if you try to spill the beans until I can make that antidote."

"Phillip is weirdly good at things when he wants to be," Joker sighed, "But face it...you're technically stuck with us now whether you want it or not."

"..."

"And don't worry on the Mastermind...we'll beat them in the Final Trial tomorrow," Cyclone added.

"...Hence another reason why I need to leave Fuuto," Mukuro argued, "I know too much about them...and they would take any chance to kill me to keep those secrets hidden."

"Hmm...Or they'd keep you alive because those chances actually happening would only add to them getting to experience Despair such as earlier," Cyclone replied, "...Shotaro...Can I please make some brain bleach? That is a memory I want to forget."

"Ah. Probably not until tomorrow after the trial," Joker sighed as he dropped the transformation, "We may need it as evidence for that."

"..." Mukuro stared at him for a moment, thinking of her options for a moment. If she left...no doubt her sister would track her down to the ends of the earth to keep her secrets hidden...if she stayed, there was still the chance she'd go after her but at the same time...there was the chance Double and his friends...there's a chance Makoto Naeigi could turn things around, "...I'll stay."

"Hmm?"

"On two conditions. One: ...You take me to Hope's Peak tomorrow for the final trail," Mukuro stated, "And two:...no asking me on Museum's goals nor who the Mastermind is…"

"Pft...please like I need to cheat. I can figure this all out on my own," Philip huffed as he walked back over.

"Hm? Where did Wakana go?"

"Ahh…" Philip sighed, "She wasn't with me when I woke up in my body…" he smiled as he held up a note with a giddy smile, "But she did leave me a thank you note with her signature~!"

"Oh no…" Shotaro sighed, "He's gonna be like this all freakin day…"

"But I guess the good news of you staying is that you and Naegi-kun may continue your sexual relationship," Philip blurted, "But we do have thin walls so…"

"Philip...she's about to pass out...stop." Shotaro deadpanned.

"I'm just saying I don't want to listen to all that and become an Uncle Philip."

*THUD*

"PHILIP!"

"I did nothing wrong by saying the truth."

"Did nothing w…" Shotaro began before growling, "Philip…!"

"You can't deny the truth! If not for the shock collar I put on Sho, who knows what she would do in the dead of night." Philip argued.

"That's why she keeps flipping between the two without her Giraffe Taser zapping her?!"

"..."

"Phillip…"

"...I plead the Fifth."

"America janai!"

"...I still believe I did nothing wrong."

"Ah mou!"

As the bickering was going on, non were aware of Mick running back to the Sonozaki manor, looking back at the two bickering for a moment before he rusumed running.

'Yet another fortune made by our Ultimate Clairvoyant has come to fruition...and I hate when they actually happen,' Shotaro typed out his thoughts, 'The Nazca Dopant, Kirihiko the Former Ultimate Black Market Salesman, no longer walks among the living, but has left a large impact for our agency with both knowledge and another being housed here.' he glanced over at Mukuro, who was polishing a gun she had taken apart, 'Kuromu, or rather, Ikusaba Mukuro now stays with us due to leaving Museum to try to save Kirihiko. She's also the Fenrir Dopant...even if we confiscated the Memory from her along with that belt.' he glanced over at the door to the garage, 'Philip intends to study both for any knowledge on Museum that Mukuro can't provide due to the poison bomb in her. And speaking of...'

"Mmm…" most of the others were hiding in the kitchen area, trying to be sneaky in watching the Ultimate Soldier and failing.

"What are you all doing?" Shotaro sighed.

"Spying on that new girl," Hagakure answered, "Most of us don't trust her considering she was a former friend of the Mastermind."

"I hate said mastermind with every fiber of my being," Mukuro stated in a neutral tone as she began to reassemble her gun.

"Come on, guys. She left Museum and she wants to help," Naegi noted.

"Quiet from the boyfriend defending his girlfriend!" Akiko ordered.

"E-Eh?!" both gawked, Mukuro dropping her halfway-built gun in startlement.

"Ahh! D-Don't startle her!" Hifumi yelped as he ducked further behind cover, "What if she drops her gun and fires it off again?"

"Philip did a good job getting the bullet out," Mondo noted.

"You weren't the one shot…" Hifumi glowered, trying very hard to not scratch his bandaged behind.

"You weren't the one who had to help bandage it," Ishimaru whispered, shuddering a bit.

"Seriously guys, she probably just needs a friend is all," Hina pointed out as she walked out of the garage with an empty platter.

"And possibly leak our secrets," Byakuya argued, "How do we know she isn't really a spy?"

"Philip strip searched her," Shotaro replied casually, "No wires on her or in her."

"Eh!?" everyone gawked.

"Why am I not shocked?" Naegi groaned, facepalming.

"Worst part is...I didn't even notice him starting or finishing," Mukuro admitted.

"I studied a lot of how to pickpocket people to get that trick to work," Philip smiled as he walked in, "I also took a sample of her blood. I tried to get a sample of her spine's cerebral fluids...but she's very ticklish to that spot."

"Why did you...?"

"To scan for nanobots of course." Philip smiled, "If you'd like to be more sure, I could…" he pulled out a large scary looking needle, "Jam this into her brain via her eye…" he bluntly stated as everyone went pale.

"I thought we broke them all…!" Mondo whispered to Ishimaru and Hagakure.

"He must have read up on forging techniques to make more," Hagakure whispered back, his face pale.

"Philip, no needles," Shotaro ordered.

"They'll learn to like them," Philip smiled, "How do you think I've made sure no one has a bomb in their brains?"

"H-Have you...experimented on us in our sleep!?" several snapped.

"You act like I would never do that…" Philip blinked, "How else am I supposed to perfect cloning technology without pure DNA samples? Speaking of...if I could get a little bit of all your brains..." he pulled out a second scary needle and seemed to combine them into one.

"...Philip-kun, I have a fun keyword for you to research," Hina spoke up.

"Hm? Keyword?"

"Yes. Look up 'Ball Pits,'" Hina informed.

"Ball Pits? Ball Pits...Ball...Pits?" Philip muttered, dropping the needle and opening his book, "Oh, they were originally called 'Ball Crawls'...made by Ernie McMillan in 1976..."

"Crisis averted," Akiko sighed in relief.

"Oh! You can combine them with trampolines?" Philip asked, "Mondo, I need your muscle! I have Byakuya's credit card info to buy all the supplies but I need your muscle to carry it all!"

"Wait...you wh-?!" Byakuya began.

"Onwards!" Philip declared, dragging Mondo out.

"Get back here!" Byakuya snapped, chasing after him.

"And that is how you distract a Philip from going too far," Hina smirked, putting her hands on her hips.

"You are getting good at that," Celestia noted before hiding her teasing smile behind her hand, "Perhaps you would make a good girlfriend for dear Philip…"

"Ye….hey~!" Hina complained as she blushed at that.

"Enough teasing already," Kyoko spoke as she walked in, holding onto a black and white letter.

"...Let me guess, Monokuma sent it?" Shotaro guessed.

"No...The Mastermind," Kyoko answered, earning the group's attention as she opened it and read its contents, "'Tomorrow is the day Hope and Despair clash. Will you be able to find out who I really am...or will you succumb to Despair as you die before your friends? Come to the school tomorrow as I will have every part of the school unlocked, including the forbidden part of the second floor...I dare you to find anything that might help in the trial, because it will not mater….Despair will take this City's Kamen Rider a…' and it leads into a long tangent of Despair…" she turned it over, "Even goes to the other side."

Mukuro facepalmed, "That is indeed the Mastermind when they feel there's too much Hope."

"...They have issues," Toko muttered, earning a few looks from her friends, "...What? ...What?!"

"You know what you said," those giving her the looks deadpanned.

"Mmmm…" Toko pouted.

Shotaro rolled his eyes as he resumed typing, 'Tomorrow will be the end of our second-longest case in the agency. Us against the Mastermind of the Killing Game. But for them...It's a battle between Hope and Despair with them wanting Despair to win.' his eyes narrowed, 'But for us...only Hope will come out on top as we deal with them causing not only the city, but our friends to cry. For those lost to this Killing Game...we will win.'

'...The Final Trial…' Naegi thought as he thought on what the letter said, 'Our only chance to end this Killing Game...and to find out why our memories are missing…'

From outside, Monokuma watched the Narumi Detective Agency HQ. He laughed in anticipation of the next day and all that was planned.

"Oh you think you chuckleheads are clever...but just you wait~. You don't know what's coming your way." he chuckled before flinching as he heard the sound of something scraping across the ground, "Huh?" he turned around "Who ar-gah!" Suddenly the robotic bear was slashed in two, it was not a clean slash as the weight of whatever did it crushed most of his internal machinery.

"Tomorrow is it? Thanks for being so loud," the owner of the weapon smirked as he slammed what looked to be a sword into the ground, causing it to crack, "I'll see what happens tomorrow then. And if you can lead me to what I want or not, Mastermind."
