20. Case 20

GT: Hello all! Welcome to the beginning of the next arc!

SZ: And the true debut of W secondary Rider!

GT: Oh he's a favorite Secondary Rider of mine. I love his design and power set. And that theme is kickass!

SZ: It truly does. Been meaning to get rc for a long while...especially Z0...speaking of whom, where is he?

GT: I don't know...and I am terrified. Best do disclaimers before something happens.

SZ: We own jack squat aside from original content! Danganronpa is owned by Spike chunsoft while Kamen Rider is owned by Toei.

Z0: *ground begins caving in as a giant robotic monstrosity from my lab breaks free and drags my co-writers down to the pit below, me coming in shortly after* AH! My robo beast got out...oh wait is this the Accel chapter *ignores the screams of terror as my friends are attacked*

SZ: YES! Also SAVE US!

Z0: Hmm that does sound like what I'd do, alright *puts on suit of knight armor* Into the dungeon under our place I never told them about!

SZ: You should h-OH GOD!

It had been a week or so since the final Trial at Kibougamine, said school currently under investigation due to what had transpired there. As such, it had to be closed down indefinitely..which was a relief to the former students and the Narumi Detective Agency. However...there were still some things they didn't quite figure out yet...whatever happened to the Remenants of Despair, and whatever happened to the Steering Committee that more or less let in the person that caused such chaos and almost caused a genocide? Whatever the case may be...it was currently not the case for one Shotaro Hidari as he was playing a game of billiards.

"Billiards…" Shotaro whispered, looking at his pool cue as he walked around the table, "Truly a worthy game for Hard Boiled men. Calculating the ball's path as they scatter about….the sign of a man's patience," he whispered as he placed the white ball gently onto the table, "It's also connected to a detective's work. In other w-" he began as he began to flip his pool cue..and ended up dropping it onto another table, "..."

"In other words?" Kyoko questioned as she stood nearby, currently wearing a white button-up long sleeve shirt underneath a black blazer jacket and dark purple skirt with her hair done up into a ponytail with a pair of bangs hanging down the sides of her face. She also had a small satchel strapped around one of her thighs as she was currently fixing the rim of a dark purple fedora.

"...In other words," Shotaro continued, clearing his throat as he took the pool cue, "It's like the game exists for me."

"Then why did you invite me?" Kyoko questioned with a light joking smile.

"Because this is the one time we get to relax before we end up having to deal with nonsense." Shotaro smirked.

"True. Philip hasn't been as...well...Philip lately."

"I think it's because we have less people to give him topics," Shotaro chuckled, "So much easier to handle."

"Once again true," Kyoko nodded, putting her fedora down as she grabbed onto her own pool cue, "Plus things have been less hectic at the office since Mukuro joined...and Hina's been making sure to check on Philip while Naegi keeps track of the less troublesome cases for us."

"Like the case involving those geese that took someone's food while they weren't looking," Shotaro recalled, pausing from taking aim at the white ball, "...I honestly felt bad for him when he had to deal with said geese...damn devil birds."

"I think he still has flashbacks," she added.

"I know his pain…" Shotaro admitted before he resumed aiming at the white ball. Taking a deep breath, he pulled the pool cue back before thrusting forward...and ended up having said stick fly out of his hands, "Ahh!"

The two turned as the door opened to reveal a figure standing there. Clad in all red biking attire of leather pants and jacket while he had short brunette hair and very sharp eyes. He walked in as he lowered the pool cue.

"The Detective office is on the second floor?" he asked to himself in realization.

"...that's correct, yes," Shotaro replied as he and Kyoko focused on the man.

"...and who are you?" Kyoko questioned as the man took aim at the white ball.

"A client." he replied as he took a shot and the balls scattered...and one by one they all sank into the pockets. After a moment only two balls remained, a Red ball and the White ball. He put the Pool cue over his shoulder as he watched the last two balls slowly roll across the table.

"Hard boiled…" Shotaro spoke as he and Kyoko stared in awe at the shot. The white ball slowly rolling closer until it tapped the Red ball into the corner pocket.

'...just who is this man?' Kyoko thought as she looked over at the mysterious newcomer.

"A s-ow…" Naegi winced as Hina was currently applying some ointment to the scratch marks on his face, the former wearing a black business suit with the Narumi Detective Agency's symbol the left lapel of his collar while the latter wore an opened light-red female business suit with the tie being an aqua blue color, a pair of blue jean shorts and stockings over her legs, and a pair of white sneakers, "A superintendent?"

"That's right." the man spoke as they all sat at a table, he held up his badge and ID to show his name, "Terumi Ryu, I'm new."

"Superintendent?" Shotaro muttered, sitting next to Ryu as he pointed at him then back to himself to point out how young Ryu was, comparing Ryu's age with his own.

Ryu reached into his jacket as he reached into an inner pocket and pulled out pictures. He slapped them down, revealing them to be people who were covered in frost, clearly they were pictures of the recently deceased with signs of frostbite and temperature shock being the cause of death.

"There's a case involving a streak of freezing incidents," Ryu explained as the group looked on at the photos, "I came to you to see if you can find the culprit."

"..this has to be Dopant's doing," Naegi noted as he looked at the photos.

"That is your specialty, correct?" Ryu questioned.

"It is, but...sorry," Shotaro spoke as he stood up, "A detective living in the hard world...will not bend to authority."

"...soka," Ryu noted, reaching into his inner pocket once more as he pulled out an envelope, "I'll pay you in advance."

"Nope! Bribery won't work either!" Shotaro laughed a bit, unaware of Akiko taking the envelope and pulling out some money, "So how's about you take this case...and sh-!"

Akiko snapped her fingers and within a moments notice, Mukuro-now wearing a black shirt underneath a brown opened vest and pale-blue skirt with a pair of black spats underneath- smacked him upside the head with a green slipper, elbowed his gut, and grabbed his arm before flipping him in the air as he fell onto the floor.

"We'll take the case!" Akiko beamed, pouring a large bowl of chips for Ryu as she put it before him, "Please come anytime you need to keep us updated!"

"She's already weaponized Mukuro-san…" Naegi whispered in worry.

"She makes for a good security guard for the office," Hina whispered to him.

"Why...you…!" Shotaro groaned, raising a shaky hand to the table as he pulled himself up and glared at Akiko, "Blindsided by advanced payment!?"

"I don't think she can hear you," Kyoko whispered, noticing Akiko staring at Ryu with a small smile on her face.

"Aki-chan?" Hina blinked.

"So...it's decided, Shachou." Ryu spoke to Akiko as she kept smiling, "I'll borrow your useful Detectives," he looked to Shotaro and Kyoko, "I'll leave you with the third one so you're not down a detective. I need these two for skills that one has yet to gain."

"Skills?" Naegi asked.

"Master detective and fighter." Hina blurted.

"Oh...right," Naegi muttered.

"Wait. Don't I get a say in…?!" Shotaro began before Mukuro began to push him and Kyoko out.

"Case time…" Mukuro whispered as she pushed them out the door, "Ike."

"Arigatou, Mukuro-chan!" Akiko beamed.

"She truly has gotten used to this place fast," Kyoko whispered, fixing her blazer a bit while adjusting her fedora.

"She bonded too well with Akiko…" Shotaro sighed as he clipped his fedora inside his jacket as he grabbed the helmets for his bike. He then looked as Ryu just...drove off and left them behind, "OI!" he snapped, shaking a fist at him.

Inside Akiko was happily counting the money, "He's cool and reliable, he's like the exact opposite of Shotaro-kun!"

"...wait. Is...is she…?" Naegi began in a whisper.

"...Aki-chan, do you...have a crush on our new client?" Hina asked.

"Well...it's so rare for me to meet a reliable and confident man like that." she smiled.

"...so it is a crush," Mukuro noted.

"Shh...You're not one to talk, Mukuro-chan~" Akiko whispered, making her blush as she tried to look away.

"Terui Ryu," Philip's voice spoke up as he walked in from his garage, "A Superintendent of the Fuuto Police."

"Does that person intrigue you?" Akiko smiled.

"Ah…" Philip mused, "But why does he intrigue me?" he asked himself, "Not knowing is what intrigues me I guess."

"You could always check," Hina suggested, "You haven't been in the Gaia Library in a long while."

"True...I have been taking a bit of a break from it from a current project," Philip admitted.

"Current project?" Naegi repeated.

"The Remnants of Despair," Philip explained, "I tried to look them up..even going through Mukuro and her...ahem. Sister…"

"She was considered dead to me after what she pulled, so you're more than welcome to mock her," Mukuro stated.

"Thank you...as I was saying, I even looked through their books and surprisingly...I came up to seventeen books."

"...Seventeen?!" Hina, Naegi and Akiko gawked.

"Yes, but…" Philip paused as he took a deep breath, "All names were faded...and the books were locked."

=Gao?=

"No no...not now." Philip replied calmly, "This will bother me for some time...so I decided to relax and study something else."

"Oh...really? What?" Naegi asked in concern.

Everyone then heard an animalistic cackling sound from the garage.

"Hyena's…did you know that the girls..."

"No!" Everyone snapped.

"But I was…" Philip begna before a dart hit his neck, "...nigh nigh…"

*THUD*

"He'll be out for a bit until he is needed," Mukuro stated, pulling away a blowgun from her lips as she let it slide into the sleeve of her shirt.

"Great...now what about the killer African pack dogs that laugh like a lunatic when angry?" Naegi asked, peeking into the garage as a Hyena was staring at him with a head tilt.

"Do not show them fear," Mukuro advised, "The moment they find an opening, they'll gather and attack their prey all at once."

"...the babies are all walking to Philip-kun…" Hina noted as Hyena pups were cuddling him.

"...he took a mother and her pups from the zoo again," Aliko sighed, "We really need someone to deal with Philip's animal shenanigans."

"After that goose incident...agreed," Naegi whispered.

"Tch...Ryu Terui...who does he think he is?" Shotaro scoffed to himself, he and Kyoko having caught up Ryu's bike as it parked right outside an apartment complex.

"...Probably more than he lets on," Kyoko whispered as they began to walk up the steps, looking up to see Ryu standing at the top.

"This is my team's first case." Ryu spoke as he led them to an apartment as Jinno and Makura guarded the door, "Be on the top of your game."

"Hai!" they nodded, Shotaro and Kyoko following Ryu into the apartment.

The moment they stepped in...they saw that the entire place was frozen over. Almost like an arctic blizzard had blown through as icicles hung from the ceiling above. On the ground was an outline of someone, most likely the poor victim of this frozen area.

"It's like a freezer." Shotaro noted, "This Dopant must be crazy strong."

"What happened to the victim?" Kyoko asked. Terui snapped his fingers in response as Makura and Jinno joined them, the latter walking up to speak.

"A production company president, Ikeda Shinya, 42 years old." Jinno explained, "He was found here frozen. It is believed this is the same culprit behind the streak of freezing incidents."

"Soka." Ryu nodded as he slipped on a pair of white forensic gloves.

"Cho-chotto...Jin-san, is he higher ranked than you?" Shotaro asked.

"Superintendent Terui was assigned to the Fuuto Police to investigate unusual crimes. He's an Elite." Jinno whispered to Shotaro and Kyoko.

"Unusual Crimes?" Shotaro repeated.

"You mean GaiaMemory cases and incidents?" Kyoko asked to be sure.

"Yes, but also just anything else weird in town." Jinno nodded, "Makura and I worked on Dopant cases, so we got assigned to this team."

"Terui-san is an amazing person," Makura whispered to them, "He's so young, and yet he's made superintendent. He's even an alumni of that Kibougamine place before it got shut down."

"Hmm?" Kyoko raised a brow at that, "He is?"

"Yup. He's the Ultimate Cop," Makura added before sighing, "I idolize him so much~"

"Your type will surely get promoted," Jinno muttered sarcastically.

"Yep." Shotaro and Kyoko nodded.

A slam soon caught their attention, prompting the four to turn and see Ryu holding onto a blue flower..all while he seemed to be visibly shaking in anger.

"...what's wrong?" Shotaro questioned as he began to approach him, "Did you…"

"Let me warn you!" Ryu snapped.

"...huh?" Shotaro blinked at that before looking down at the flower, "...hey, that fl-" he began before Ryu grabbed him and slammed him against the wall, "?!"

"Don't ask me questions," Ryu scowled, "Besides...I'm suspicious of those friends of yours…"

"Hah?" Shotaro asked, leaning forward as the two glared at the other, "If you got a problem with me, that's one thing. But you don't get to talk about my friends."

"I do, considering a classmate of theirs is connected to the missing students of Class 77 and their teacher Chisa Yukizome."

"Eh?" Shotaro blinked at that before Ryu shoved him off, "Oi!"

"Where's the victim Ikeda?" Ryu questioned as he chose to ignore Shotaro for now.

"He was taken to Suzunari General Hospital, sir."

"Got it," Ryu nodded as he began to walk off.

"Oi! OI!" Shotaro snapped at him, "Don't you walk away from me!"

Kyoko said nothing as she stared at Ryu for a bit, her eyes narrowed as she pondered over what he said.

"This was…" Wakana began with wide eyes, now within the room Kirihiko found underneath the Sonozaki mansion, "Where Museum all began?"

"Yes. For you, this is your true beginning." Ryubee explained, "Wakana, I want you to formerly become a core member of our organization."

"?!" Wakana's eyes widened upon hearing that, "...Father that's…"

"It's okay. Well considering Junko is MIA and Mukuro is sadly not on our side anymore, I need someone close to me to help me run Museum," Ryubee explained, "Saeko will help explain things to you going forward."

"I understand." Wakana nodded.

"Hm...excellent," Ryubee smiled a bit, rubbing Mick in his arms as he began to pace a bit, "By the way, there have been a series of freezing incidents, haven't there?"

"It's probably that Dopant rampaging around again." Saeko spoke.

"Ah yes...that one," Ryubee noted, "What a very fascinating Memory. That person might be dangerous, but it could be worth looking into…"

"Of course, father," Saeko nodded as the two began to walk off.

"Oh and..keep me up to date on those Remnants of Despair."

"...why?" Saeko asked out of pure confusion, "Junko's no longer part of Museum after that stunt she pulled...and the fact she…"

"I have my reasons. That experiment used a lot of rare Gaia Memories as well. And it was used to test many of our projects for our business partner. It's good business to keep work on them going slow and steady," Ryubee smiled, "If all goes well we might just have a second product to sell them."

"Ah...that is true," Saeko whispered, the two unaware of Wakana staring at the device in the center of the room.

The two bikes of our Detectives and a singular Police officer came to a stop at the hospital's parking lot. The three dismounted as tension was still dense around the two men, but they made it here with little problems. But what caught the trio's attention was the Doctors, Nurses and Patients all running from the entrance and screaming in panic. Stepping out was a Dopant clad in snowy-white feathers with bits of dark grey, with its 'feathers' being long curved icicles. A mask of ice covered its face, having this beaked plague doctor look to it.

"A Dopant," Kyoko whispered

"That has to be up there in the freakier Dopants…" Shotaro muttered as he rushed forward as the Dopant was chasing one man dressed in a hospital issued pajamas and a red robe, his body covered in bandages, and given his warm clothing he was still being treated for potential hypothermia and frostbite wounds.

"I knew it." Ryu spoke up, "After Ikeda again!" he moved to the cowl of his bike and opened a compartment, Shotaro and Kyoko pausing as he grabbed a curved handle with a trigger, so what they assumed was a gun...however he instead slowly pulled out a long sword with a large compartment section at the base of the blade resembling the engine of a vehicle, overall it resemble this fusion of a rifle and a sword, with black and red accents along the silver body. It was worth noting...this was not a smooth process, it took great effort, he pulled the weapon out as the grinding of heavy metal filled the air.

"What is that?" Shotaro awed as Ryu held the blade up...and slammed its tip into the ground burying it into the concrete.

He then began walking and dragging the weapon through the road, not really cutting so much as roughly carving out a path in it as he marched off towards the Dopant. The Two detectives left in awe at the power of this odd and angry man as he dragged a sword which they assumed weighed more then he did through the concrete road.

"What...are we looking at?" Kyoko asked somewhat shocked at this sudden burst of aggression and random showing of inhuman strength.

"This is turning into a very annoying day…" Shotaro muttered.

Ikeda panicked as he fell to the grass along the sidewalk, he turned and began crawling away from the Dopant. "Let me go already! What did I ever do to you!?"

"I'm not satisfied yet." the Dopant replied in a higher pitched voice, making their gender undicernable, they raised their hand showing these stubby tube like fingers which might be how it used its cryokinetic abilities, "Listen to yourself fall apart!"

The Dopant moved to simply swing at Ikeda, only for Ryu's sword to block his arm, the weight of the blade enough to make it pause. It then flinched at the look of sheer rage in Ryu's eyes.

"I found you at last, you bastard!" he growled, gritting his teeth from the effort to swing his heavy weapon. He swung the sword around and smacked the handle into the Dopants face as the weight and momentum knocked it back several steps from the impact.

The Dopant gasped, stumbling against a pillar near the walkway of the hospital. That hurt...it really hurt even in its current Monster body, and this guy was just normal...right? It turned around as the sword scraped against the ground as Ryu swung down, causing a large gash in the walkway as the sword dug its way into the ground. He pulled it free as he glared at the Dopant and chased after it, taking these large swings, that the Dopant could evade with ease, but it was really focused on this, it did not want to get hit by this weapon seeing what it was doing to anything unfortunate to get in its path or try to stop it. Another wide swing and the sword nearly tore its way through one of the support pillars for the Hospital's covered walkway.

"What are you doing Hidari!?" he shouted struggling to get his sword free, "Become the Kamen Rider already and Fight!"

"He knows?" Kyoko whispered with a raised brow.

"Wait...how…?" Shotaro began.

"JUST DO IT!"

"Ah mou! Why is this becoming so hard to keep secret!" Shotaro complained as Ryu got his sword free and chased the Dopants towards the parking lot. Shotaro sighed and pulled out his Driver and put it on his waist and linked to Philip, "Come on Philip time to go!"

'Oh Shotaro... Can you maybe wait a bit...I'm in the middle of something,' Philip telepathically replied, 'Oh! There are so many different types! But would it be hard to change the office?'

"Nani!?" Shotaro snapped, "What are you into this time?!" he demanded.

"Again…" Kyoko sighed.

"Useless bastard!" Ryu complained, seeing Shotaro just taking his time and talking to someone as he raised his sword in anger and swung down...slicing through the hood, engine and body of someone's car. He then grunted as the Dopant raised its hand and began blasting him with a frosty mist. The biting cold made him flinch and grunt in pain.

=JOKER! JOKER! J-J-J-JOKER!=

"Ah mou! I'm not gonna stop till you do the thing you asshole!" Shotaro snapped rapidly hitting the button to flood Philip's brain with the Gaiamemory's activation noise.

"Can't. Still busy," Philip retorted.

"...offer him this name for research purposes," Kyoko whispered to Shotaro, "Chisa Yukizome."

"Eh? Why w-" Shotaro began before it dawned on him, "Oh….Philip, I possibly have something new for you to research."

"Can't it wait? I…"

"Chisa Yukizome."

"Eh? Just a n...AH! One of the books unlocked!...partially but still!" Philip beamed.

"NOW!" Shotaro shouted loudly.

"No need to yell...you almost blew my ears out…"

"Philip, I swear to god!" Shotaro complained as the Cyclone Memory formed in the belt, "Was that so hard?"

"Maybe not for you…" Philip muttered.

"Oh you don't get to say that," Shotaro flipped his Joker memory, "Henshin!"

=CYCLONE JOKER!=

"About time…" Ryu whispered, jumping away from the Dopant as it unleashed a wave of cold air at him, freezing any nearby vehicles in the process.

Double rushed in as he kicked the Dopant across the face. He spun around and landed another kick as the Dopant flinched, the much harder and faster blows making it hard to avoid like it was doing with Ryu. The Rider swung a punch that caught the Dopant by surprise.

"Kamen Rider...W…" Ryu spoke.

"Its power is amazing...but its fighting skills are...lacking." Kyoko noted as the Dopant was kicked again, "The user must not be combative at all, and their voice is slightly higher pitched. They likely have never fought anyone as their usual self and are weak..." she whispered before eying the patient the Dopant was targeting, "...And why was it after him?"

The Dopant grunted as they aimed their hands and blasted at Double, only for a veil of green wind to protect the Rider as he swung another punch to the Dopant's face. It grunted and blasted again, tilting his hands a little lower as another punch landed. Double moved to press on...only to stop as his right leg...refused to move. The Rider looked down and realized his leg was now frozen to the ground.

"Well...that's not good," Cyclone noted, "This Memory is Ice Age. the memory of...well, the Ice Age itself."

"You found that out fast!" Joker spoke as he raised his right arm and tried using the aerokinetic powers to block another blast of icy mist, but it was for not as Double's right arm was now covered in frost.

"It is one I recall being a powerful prototype back in my days before we met," Cyclone cringed as the ice mist was overtaking Double.

=HEAT JOKER!=

A burst of fire stopped the Dopant's elemental attack. It blinked before a flaming fist struck it across the face.

"My point being, Heat is clearly our best weapon here." Heat explained.

"Oh like I didn't see that one coming!" Joker laughed.

With that, Double swung and landed a flaming kick to the Dopant, making it stumble back. As it regained its footing, it was stunned by a barrage of blows to its torso as the Rider punched, each punch hitting stronger and with the Heat Memory's power, getting through that thick ice like layer of defense. So much so the Dopant began shedding a layer of snow with each strike.

"What's wrong, Frosty? Can't stand the heat?" Joker taunted, earning a slight groan from Kyoko, "Oh what? It was a good one!"

"Just focus on the fight," Kyoko sighed.

"Woman I…!" Joker began before the Ice Age Dopant began to run, using the distraction as a chance to escape, "O-!"

"Oi! You're not getting away!" Ryu snapped as he ran after it. As he made the turn, he saw no trace of the Dopant, only spotting a woman in a white business suit running away, "Oi!" he shouted as he ran around the car she ducked behind, and growled seeing she vanished somehow. He was about to slam his sword down out of frustration, before he looked down, seeing a familiar blue flower on the ground, "...oi, detectives. I have some keywords for you...mainly for W's right half."

"Hmm?" Double blinked behind his mask as he dismissed his transformation.

"Ice...and flowers."

"Hm?" Shotaro blinked as Kyoko caught up.

"Have your Right half do a search with those keywords." Ryu ordered.

"Omae...how do you know about that?" Shotato asked as he and Kyoko stared at him in shock, but their eyes hardened out of concern with how much he was demonstrating he knew of them.

Back at the office, the door to the garage was suddenly forced open, making Akiko and Naegi yelp out of shock as they saw Ryu enter. Shotaro and Kyoko followed after.

"You can't just force your way into our place like that!" Shotaro complained.

"What's going on?" Naegi asked.

"Many concerning things," Kyoko explained without more detail.

"Welcome?" Akiko blinked, unsure how to reply.

"So that's what it is," Ryu whispered as he looked around, walking up the stairs as Akiko did her best to block view of...whatever she was blocking.

"...oh no...he came in," Akiko whispered in worry.

"...what are you blocking?" Kyoko questioned as she noticed Akiko's strange behavior. It was also at this point Kyoko noticed the silly music playing lowly in the background of the garage, with the song making cute animal noises as part of the lyrics.

"N-nothing!"

"...what's Mukuro hiding behind those curtains?" Kyoko questioned, motiong to a set of black curtains Mukuro was holding over something.

"What did you do?" Shotaro asked.

"...Ano...while you guys were gone…" Naegi began.

"Already not liking where this is going…" the two detectives whispered.

"Well..Philip sorta…" Naegi began as Ryu walked past him, snatching the curtains from Mukuro as he tore them down..and revealed Philip wearing a Saint Bernard Dog themed set of one piece pajamas, with a hood like said dog's face over his head and a small barrel around his neck.

"What is this!?" Shotaro demanded.

"Arf!" Philip responded as a howling noise could be heard in the background as the Right half of Double took on a silly pose to present the Dog faced hoodie as if his actual face.

"...Philip was insistent on raising a Saint Bernard," Mukuro spoke.

"He wouldn't listen to us…" Akiko and Naegi slumped.

"...and where is…" Kyoko began before the two pointed nearby, prompting her and Shotaro to see the Ultimate Swimmer...being cuddled and licked by a small group of Saint Bernard Puppies as she giggled, "..."

"He found them in a box nearby," Mukuro explained, "Hence prompting his current research."

"I heard of them once on Wakana's radio show about how this large and very friendly breed of dog is trained to perform Avalanche rescue!" Philip cheered, "I knew it was perfectly lined up Fate! Wakana-hime told me of the Saint Bernard and then I found them! By the way, they have names. The boys are named Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Wagner and Debussy, and the two girls are Ami and Yumi."

"And they're all so fwuffy and adorable!" Hina cooed as she hugged them all.

"We can't keep a small litter of one of the biggest dogs in the world!" Shotaro complained, "They'd eat us out of food and home...then probably Naegi!"

"No they wouldn't, they are a very docile and loving breed!" Philip chuckled, "Ah...but...no they do eat a lot."

"...no more Healing Princess until further notice," Kyoko deadpanned.

"Hah?! You can't…!" Philip began.

"So this is W's Right half."

"Hmm?" Philip blinked as he turned to look at Ryu, who pulled down the hoodie of his pajamas.

"W's brain, Philip, correct?" Philip turned to Ryu in interest as he kept speaking, "I'm amazed you two have lasted this long."

"Huh?" Shotaro asked.

"I've been investigating this little club of losers." Ryu spoke holding his hand out as the Blue Beetle Memory Gadget flew into his hand, "Using this one to spy on you all during your day to day. I also have low leveled Undercover officers watching over your friends who have branched off after the event known as the Final Trial."

"...wait...so that beetle we saw…" Hina began with wide eyes.

"That was you?!" Akiko gawked.

"Correct."

"And you've been spying on us this whole time?" Naegi asked.

"Yes...well technically it's not spying if that Final Trial was being broadcast to every TV across Fuuto," Ryu explained.

"But before that you were spying!" Naegi argued.

"Investigating. Unlike you I have a badge, so it just takes some paperwork and a District Attorney to make it so I can do this legally." Ryu deadpanned, "And given how all of you are a big old unsolved mystery...it didn't take much for me to get the warrant to spy, investigate...and bug your building."

"You…!" Shotaro began with an annoyed growl.

"I'm also investigating something involving Kibougamine," Ryu continued, earning everyone's attention, "It involves Junko Enoshima and the missing 77th class, including the latter's teacher Chisa Yukizome."

"What? You mean...there's still more to all this?" Akiko asked in concern.

"Who are you really?" Shotaro demanded.

"I'm the man who will someday soon...become a Kamen Rider." Ryu smirked as he pulled out his Red refined GaiaMemory. The group paused in shock as they stared at the memory, "This city calls the super human beings who fight the Monsters lurking within, the Kamen Riders, correct?" he began as he walked across the little catwalk linking the two sections of the garage, "Then I will take that place."

"Take it?" Naegi asked in concern for his tone.

"Why?" Hina asked.

"Because W lacks power." Ryu explained bluntly, "If he was stronger...maybe he could have won faster instead of being stuck in games with a psychopath."

"The hell did you just say?" Shotaro growled, walking forward.

"What an unpleasant man." Philip scowled, joining Shotaro in walking to cut off the catwalks.

"It's true..if you were stronger, then you could've ended Junko Enoshima then and there," Ryu argued.

"I won't allow you to insult us any further!" Philip declared.

"You're surprisingly more emotional than I would have thought." Ryu noted, "Then show me how good you are." He challenged while walking up to Philip. The two just stared at one another for a long while as the tension built up.

"Let's begin the Lookup." Philip replied simply.

"Good…" Ryu nodded a bit as Philp took a deep breath, "Keywords...Shinya Ikeda, ice, flowers."

Philip closed his eyes as his hair began glowing an even brighter green, "We are looking for the Suspect's location...even with those three keywords there are still far too many books. There are just too many victims to narrow this down"

"...Ego?" Kyoko spoke as she pulled up her phone.

=Iie...I've searched the web and came across multiple names...nothing to narrow down= Alter Ego replied.

"Further keywords: 'Yaguruma Chrysanthemum' and 'artificial coloring'." Ryu spoke while pulling out the flower from before.

"Yaguru...eh?" Hina blinked at that, tilting her head with the puppies following her movements.

"It's a type of flower," Mukuro explained, "Mostly native to East Asia and Northeaster Europe."

"Oh…" Hina nodded.

"Down to one…" Philip mumbled in shock before clicking his tongue in frustration that this man could help so much, "Cornflower Blue, is the name of a Flower Shop found only in Fuuto. One of their favorite customers is Ikeda Entertainment Productions."

"Horticulture has given this flower a special color." Ryu added while holding the flower up, "It's a high level technique within the field."

"It has a plantation and manufacturing site." Philip spoke up to cut Ryu off, "It seems the shop has created various flowers using its own techniques and technology."

"So the Yaguruma Chrysanthemum is one of their popular products." Ryu added.

"Wakanai…" Hina muttered to the puppies.

"Ah!" Akiko gasped as she ran off and then came back with a magazine she read not too long ago. She quickly opened an article in the center about Famous Flower Coordinator, Katahira Makiko.

" 'All of Heaven and Earth are mine'," Kyoko read the quote next to her picture.

"...that's her," Ryu spoke once he saw the image, "That's the woman I saw at the scene."

=She's pretty famous with most of her appearances being on TV and in magazines= Alter Ego spoke up.

"But...?" Kyoko asked, knowing there was more.

=There's rumors of her laundering money and being a miser= Alter Ego continued.

"So she's the shady business type?" Naegi guessed.

=Given what I've found on her...hai= Alter Ego nodded.

"W is pretty impressive." Ryu spoke as he began making his way out the door, "At least the Brain half."

"Huh?" Shotaro asked, feeling insulted at that.

"We have a new lead to check," Kyoko calmed him down, "We better go follow up on it, Akiko we might need you."

"Me?"

"Shotaro and I need a buffer…" Kyoko sighed, "Naegi you and Mukuro will be in charge while we're away, try and find a nice place to take the Puppies."

"...I will fight you." Philip turned to Naegi and Mukuro.

"But…"

"Mmm~" Hina added, puffing her cheeks as she stood before the puppies defensively.

"Akiko, trade us jobs! Yours sounds less deadly!" Naegi panicked.

"She already left," Mukuro stated, seeing no trace of their landlord or the two detectives.

"The attack begins now." Philip spoke, appearing behind Naegi suddenly.

"Ah!"

"Where's Katahira Makiko?" Ryu questioned, presenting hsi badge to one of the flower shop's employees.

"Ano...the shop's owner is…" she began.

"Who's asking for my mom?" The group turned to see a young man standing at the entrance to the outdoor shop.

"Ah...Kiyo-san."

"Who's he?" Shotaro asked.

"The Shop owner's son." the woman running the register section of this shop replied.

"...is something wrong with my mom?" Kiyo asked.

"No..I'm currently investigating something she may be involved in," Ryu answered, "Any idea where she might be?"

"...that's not funny," Kiyo frowned at that as Ryu began to approach him, "A lot of people say she's bad, but my mom's just super strict about work."

"I just want to talk to her." Ryu insisted, "Where is she now?"

"..." he took a second to consider what to say, but since he was a police officer all he figured was, "Hmm...given what day of the month it is, she's probably at Fuuto En."

"Fuuto En? The amusement park?" Akiko blinked.

"They're a regular customer," the shop employee spoke up, "She's in charge of the flower bed art direction."

"Then we head there," Ryu spoke as he walked off, moving past Kiyo as he did.

"Ah! You're going already!?" Shotaro complained chasing after him, bumping into Kiyo and knocking him over, "AH! Sorry!"

"There's something he's not telling us," Kyoko noted as Akiko and Shotaro helped Kiyo, "And I don't like it."

=Want me to look up any information on him?= Alter Ego asked.

"...no," Kyoko whispered to the AI, "He'll think we're spying on him...best keep a closer eye on him for now."

=Hai!=

"Okay…" Shotaro breathed out as he, Akiko, Kyoko and Ryu arrived at the amusement park, "We're here...now we just need t-" he began before Akiko began to run towards the park, "Oi! Akiko!"

"She hasn't had time to come here…" Kyoko noted with a sigh, "She was supposed to stick with us to buffer him…"

"Ah mou…" Shotaro groaned as he facepalmed. He then noticed Ryu looking out at something within the fog nearby, "...you see Makiko?"

"...no," Ryu whispered, noticing the faint image of a woman in black within the fog as she walked off, "...you two go on ahead. I'll catch up."

"Wha...oi!" he shouted as Ryu continued out of earshot and off towards the woods, "What is with today…?"

"..that's what I'd like to know," Kyoko whispered as her eyes narrowed a bit, "There's something...off about him."

"You mean aside from being an ass?" Shotaro questioned as the two walked into the park.

"Yes...the fact he's been spying on us for so long. His investigation into missing students from Kibougamine...his suspicions of us," Kyoko listed before whispering to him, "I noticed he even gave Mukuro a stern glare...like he was set on executing her on the spot. Most likely due to a connection to Junko.."

"But she's no longer with her," Shotaro argued.

"And yet...there's still much we don't know about her," Kyoko whispered back

"I know, but she's trying," Shotaro spoke, "I can't turn my back on her now after all she's done to help."

"...that is true," Kyoko sighed, "My point is..we may need to keep a closer eye on Ryu Terui."

"Done, I really don't like this guy." Shotaro sighed.

"Admittedly...neither do I," Kyoko nodded a bit, "But for now..let's focus on the case and try to f-"

"I found her!" Akiko shouted as she ran up to the two, "Mmm~! This place is so much fun!"

"Wait back up," Shotaro held his hand up, "You found her?"

"Mmm hmm."

"...I call BS."

"It's true!" Akiko snapped as she pointed at nearby merry-go-round, "Right over there!"

"Yeah right. Like a full grown woman would…" Shotaro began as Kyoko slowly turned his head, seeing the woman from the picture actually riding the merry-go-round, "..."

"I am just as shocked…" Kyoko admitted, "Still...why is she here by herself?"

"...Let's go find out," Shotaro muttered as the three began to walk over to the merry-go-round.

Ryu panted as he ran through the woods, the mist covering more and more of the area as he looked around for the woman he saw. He the skidded to a halt when he spotted something..or rather someone up ahead.

"...So it is you…" Ryu frowned as he glared at the figure, "Shroud!"

Shroud moved her hand and pointed...suddenly a ring of crimson fire formed in a patch of dirt. Within the wing was a silver briefcase, the same red A like shape as was on his GaiaMemory atop the case. With a flick of her wrist, the ring of fire was dismissed, allowing Ryu to approach the case as he got down and opened it up to see what was inside. It was a Driver, but...it was nothing like the one Shotaro and Philip used, it was silver and resembled the handles of a motorcycle, clutch lever included, with a speedometer in the center and the GaiaMemory slot at the center top.

"My Driver…" Ryu whispered with wide eyes "It's ready?" he asked as he looked up..and saw no traces of Shroud anywhere. He then looked back down at the belt...he knew it was time.

"So...Merry-go-round huh?"

"Hmm?" Makiko blinked, pausing from walking away from the Merry-go-round as she turned to see Shotaro, Akiko and Kyoko walking towards her.

"Rather odd for a woman your age to be riding on something like that…"

"...and is that a crime? For an old woman to be doing such?" Makiko countered.

"No. We were just trying to figure out the reason why is all," Kyoko explained.

"..." Makiko said nothing as she looked back at the merry-go-round, "In the past, I came often with my child…" she explained, looking on as she faintly heard the sounds of a child laughing, "He'd beg me many times to ride it."

"...So you came here to reminisce in a way," Kyoko noted.

"Correct. Now…" Makiko paused as she looked back at the two detectives and Akiko, "What do you want?"

"We're investigating the freezing incidents going on around the city," Shotaro explained as he leaned against the railing, "Someone saw you near one of the victim's hospital."

"...Detectives?" Makiko frowned before she began to walk off, "I have no time to deal with Fuuto's Wild Dogs. Go back and investigate your own kind, filth."

"Hah?! What a snob!" Akiko gawked.

"No. This is tame compared to Byakuya before Shotaro punched him during the Second Trial," Kyoko noted.

"Unfortunately I don't think I can get away with that trick here…" Shotaro sighed.

"We have an Akiko…" Kyoko muttered.

"...fair point," Shotaro nodded as the three began to chase after Makiko, "Still...even wild dogs have pride. If you're the one making Fuuto cry, then I'll have to bare my fangs at you."

"..." Makiko said nothing as she stopped, staying completely silent as she refused to turn.

"...well!?" Akiko snapped as she prepared to turn her around, only to flinch when the older woman was about to slap her...until Kyoko managed to grab her arm, "?!"

"Attacking a minor...not helping your case," Kyoko stated with a frown.

"Technically I'm the eldest of the gang…" Akiko whispered to herself just low enough no one heard her.

"..." Makiko said nothing before she pulled her arm free from Kyoko's grip and ran off around a nearby corner.

"Oh no you don't!" Shotaro snapped as he gave chase, only to wince when a blast of icy fog sent him staggering back, "Gh!"

"She changed!" Akiko shouted.

"It's unwise to be disrespectful to your superiors," Ice Age growled as she walked out form behind the corner.

"So she was the Dopant?" Kyoko asked.

"We can work it out after we deal with the danger." Shotaro spoke, opening his jacket to show his GaiaMemory pockets, "Philip!"

"Lets go with Heat right off the bat, please leave my body with the doggos!" At that the Heat Memory formed in the Driver.

"Henshin!"

=HEAT JOKER!=

The air which surrounded Shotaro was hotter this time as the armor locked around his body. Kamen Rider Double took his place. Double rushed forward as he landed a punch to the Ice Age Dopant. The rider pushed the Dopant away from his team, getting close to the pond before punching with another super heated fist. Double grunted punching with his right several times in rapid succession. The Ice Age Dopant spun to their left making Double's next punch miss, the Dopant using this chance to swing at Double knocking him back a step.

Double grunted as he charged up his fist with flames, he grunted as he landed flaming punch after flaming punch, the heat causing steam to come off the Dopant as she grunted from each strike. The Dopant growled before swinging wildly at Double, the Rider backing away before he punched again, but it didn't stop Ice Age, instead she pushed his arm down off the Dopant body's chest of icy armor, before swinging and smacking the Rider across his helmet. Double grunted swinging again as cracking of ice filled the air...but the Dopant seemed...unphased, as it pushed the Rider away. Double grunted rolling around to get on one knee, its power wasn't enough to make him flinch like others. But he looked down at his right arm...as it was now covered in frost despite his trying to activate his Heat Halfs power.

"What a horrible chill, to be able to freeze Heat like this." Heat noted before Double grunted as Ice Age kicked him, the blow still not strong enough to hurt too bad.

"At this rate we'll get frozen!" Joker shouted rolling Double out of the way of another punch.

"Just defeat her before that, Heat will protect your body from frostbite, but the armor won't be able to move if its frozen up any further."

"Then let's finish her quickly," Joker nodded as he quickly swapped out his base Memory for Metal.

=HEAT METAL!=

Double grabbed the Metal Shaft and ignited the ends with flames. He rushed and began swinging it around as the scalding steam ejected from the ends forced the Dopant to stay away from the Rider, keeping it at a distance. Ice Age grunted and aimed low, blasting Double's legs with ice, the frost spreading fast and trapping his feet in place. Double grunted, as the Dopant smirked, but had to back up as Double swung his Metal Shaft to keep her at a distance.

"Not good…" Kyoko whispered as she and Akiko watched from nearby, "The Dopant is limiting his ability to move and attack…"

"This is so bad!" Akiko added before blinking, hearing a loud scraping going off.

"...oh don't tell me," Metal whispered as everyone turned to see Ryu walking in, dragging his sword along the ground as he glared at the Dopant.

"Good work, but…" Ryu began, lifting his sword up before stabbing it into the ground, resulting in a few cracks in it, "I'll be taking over this battle." he spoke as he pulled out his own Driver.

"That's…" Metal spoke in shock.

"I've been waiting for this day..." he spoke as he glared at the Dopant, the sheer rage in his eyes making it flinch, "For the day I obtain the ultimate power...and defeat you!" he shouted as he put the driver to his waist, letting a belt shootout around his body, and locking it in place as he pulled out his GaiaMemory.

=ACCEL!=

"...?!" Kyoko's eyes began to widen in realization, "Masaka…"

"Hen…shin!" Ryu declared as he plugged the memory into his Driver, the sound of an engine starting came from the driver, he grabbed the right handle and began twisting it, as if flooding a bike to make the engine roar even louder.

=ACCEL=

Heat began forming around him as everyone swore the temperature began rising. Ryu took his hand off the handle as red energy formed around him, eight red pistons formed around him in a circle, they pumped as the red glow and heat grew stronger, fragments of metal forming in the air before slamming down. A flash going off as gone was Ryu Terui...in his place stood a new Kamen Rider.

His armor was pure crimson red with silver going down the sides of his legs and arms. His legs from the knee down pure silver with what looked like half a tire on the back of each leg, his gloves black and armored. His torso was large and he had a silver grill plate on his stomach, a silver gas cap like badge over the rightmost section of his chest piece. He had large shoulder pauldrons which swept back and up. His helmet was solid Red, and cycloptic with a large singular blue round visor. A Silver accent framing both sides of his visor and swooping across his optic and upward forming a curved A shaped antenna as well as forming an A shaped pattern across his visor. On his back was a large black piece of metal like a backpack, which looked like the front tire of a motorcycle. All in all this new rider looks like a powerful Red Motorcycle had transformed into a man.

"Another...Kamen Rider?" Kyoko whispered as Akiko stared on at the new Rider.

The new Kamen Rider of Fuuto city stood before them, Kamen Rider Accel!

"Ha!" he cheered grabbing his sword and ripping it out and raising it high into the air as it it now weighed nothing, "Furikiru ze~"

Just as Ice Age turned, Accel was instantly before her as he began to slash his sword down, causing sparks to spray out each time he hit the Dopant as she staggered back. She then attempted blowing icy mist into his face, causing frost to build up on his body...and yet it didn't seem to affect him at all.

"HA!" Accel shouted, swinging up and slashing the Ice Age Dopant across the chest, making sparks and snow fly. He roared as he swung again and again, his sword moving as he wanted as he slashed the Dopant multiple times, the weight and new power behind it hitting so hard the Ice Age Dopant could barely keep standing.

Ice Age grunted and unleashed an exceptionally powerful blast of freezing air as it covered Accel in a layer of frost. The frost locked up his body keeping him from moving.

"Heh, listen to yourself fall apart." Ice Age smirked moving up to Accel, not seeing his arm reaching for the right handle of his Driver.

Accel twisted the handle as his body suddenly heated up and fire burst forth from his chest plate. The ice evaporating into steam in an instant, letting Accel swing his heated sword and slash the Dopant, making a clash of extreme heat against cold armor result in a small explosion which sent Ice Age tumbling away.

"I see. So it has this ability too." Accel spoke to himself as his helmet's HUD gave him information on his sword the Engine Blade. He raised the sword up and used his thumb to click on a black lever...making the sword and a section of its guard to open up like a break action rifle, he then pulled out a silver Gaia Memory with an E made of engine exhaust pipes. He slid the memory in and flipped the Engine Blade closed.

=ENGINE!=

"His weapon uses Gaia Memories too?" Kyoko and Double spoke.

Accel lifted the Engine Blade as the sound of an engine roaring to life could be heard, the air around him heating up, the blade of his sword glowing red...as it seemed to absorb the heat radiating around the crimson Kamen Rider. The heat was so strong it made Ice Age flinch, and caused all the ice it made before melt away into steam. Double grunted in surprise as his body was freed. Ice Age growled in rage and rushed in...only to be slashed by the Engine Blade, a burst of heat knocking her back. The Dopant tried again but Accel swung and knocked her over and rolling across the ground, as soon as she tried getting up another swing knocked her back down.

"What powerful offensive capabilities…" Heat muttered in awe.

Ice Age grunted, and realized, this was a fight she could not win. She swung her arms to the side and blasted ice and froze a path along the ground and into the park.

"I'll remember this…" she grunted as she began skating away across the path of ice.

"Ah! She's getting away!" Akiko gasped.

Accel's visor lit up along with his driver as new information of another ability was revealed to him.

"This is it…" he began by grabbing his Driver by both handles and flipped up into the air, the black backpack section flipped forward as the tire twisted around, his legs began to open up as the tires twisted around and linked into a single full tire. His body lurching forward as his driver linked to the front wheel axle, the tires growing out as his legs turned into exhaust pipes. Now...he really was a motorcycle.

"Nanja kora…" Metal blinked.

"Watashi wa kiitenai…" Akiko gawked as she held her arms up mimicking Accel's hand posture.

"Th-this...is different…" Kyoko muttered, also at a loss for words seeing a human...transform into a vehicle.

Accel twisted the accelerator before he suddenly took off. Jets of fire coming from the exhaust pipes. Everyone gawked at the amazing speed of his take off. The trio followed as best they could as Accel tore apart the ice path the Dopant left behind. Within moments Accel caught up to Ice Age, making the Dopant gawk at what was chasing her. She picked up speed, moving faster while keeping the ground froze...but Accel's tires just tore through the ice, never once losing speed as he sped after his target. Ice Age grunted before jumping and landing on a roller coaster, freezing the track and began sliding along it, using the height to pick up speed and momentum. Accel followed as he twisted the throttle again, and suddenly jumped into the air and landed on the coaster track as well. Once more the transforming Kamen Rider raced after the Dopant. Ice age grunted and jumped off the track before shooting at the pond, freezing it over and skating back to solid ground, hoping Accel would break through the ice and fall into the water. However Accel stopped his tires...and skidded along the ice before jumping over the Dopant.

Ice Age gasped at this as Accel landed in front of her...before his exhaust pipes lit up and blasted her with a stream of fire, making her cry out in pain as the flames sent her staggering back. As she used her mist to dispel the flames, Accel flipped back into the air as he changed back to normal, slowly turning as he gripped the handle of his Driver and revved it just as Double and the others caught up. Ice Age grunted and began unleashing a large amount of cold, in a desperate attempt to finally freeze Accel in place.

=ACCEL MAXIMUM DRIVE!=

His armor began lighting up bright orange before flames burst from all over his body. The flames grew darker and stronger as he crouched down slightly. The energy channeled through his body and to his legs. Suddenly he leapt forward, twisting his body around and swinging his leg out for a flying reverse roundhouse kick, his foot seeming to scrape the air and leave a red skidmark trail in the air as the kick struck the Ice Age Dopant. The tire mark formed on Ice Age before a powerful explosion went off, dispersing the cold and leaving only the intense heat from Accel's Rider Kick.

"Zetsubō ga omae no goal da," Accel whispered.

"How Hard Boiled…" Metal whispered in slight awe while Kyoko narrowed her eyes at the mention of despair.

"...dibs. I call dibs!" Akiko exclaimed, "He totally owned that icy witch!"

"...no," Kyoko spoke, earning the two's attention as the smoke died out, showing bits of snow and ice on the ground, "She created an ice clone to escape the finishing blow."

"Tsk…" Accel muttered, realizing the same, "You won't get away!" he shouted, spotting the retreating frame of Ice Age running over a hill. As the others began to follow him, they looked down to see Makiko standing there, panting as she gripped a Gaia Memory in her hands.

"Well...all that leaves is to lock her up a-" Metal began.

"Wait," Kyoko spoke, eying Accel as he began to approach her, "...this blood lust…" she whispered as her eyes began to widen in realization, "He's going to kill her."

"After all these years…" Accel growled, gripping his sword tightly, "I finally found you," he raised his Engine Blade up, "I swore I'd be the one to kill you for what you did!"

"Ah…!" Makiko gasped in worry, staggering back as she fell onto her rear end.

"Oi baka! Stop!" Metal shouted as Double ran over.

"RAAAGH!" Accel shouted as he slashed down, only for Double to block his sword with his staff, "?! Double, have you gone insane?!"

"I'm insane?! I'm not the one about to attack an untransformed criminal!" Metal snapped as he locked himself and Accel in place, quickly looking back at the nervous Makiko, "Oi, run!"

"Ahh!" She yelped as she got up and quickly ran off.

"You don't understand...she took everything from me!" Accel snarled as he pushed Double back, "She's the owner of the W Memory...I can't let that monster live!"

"W Memory?" Kyoko quietly repeated.

"This is the first time I'm hearing about it," Heat admitted.

"What are…" Metal began.

"Don't ask me questions!" Accel snapped as he freed himself, using his sword to slash Double multiple times before he could get a chance to defend himself.

Accel roared swinging as his heavy weapon and amazing power overwhelmed Double even in one of his stronger forms. Each slash sent sparks flying before a final thrust to the Riders chest sent him tumbling back, his armor shattering away and leaving Shotaro to come to a stop on the ground.

"Now stay out of my way…" Accel growled, lowering his sword as he stepped forward.

"Gh...aren't you….becoming a Kamen Rider?" Shotaro asked as he got back up, "Hate the crime...don't hate the person." he walked forward, "That is the Kamen Rider the people of Fuuto wish for!"

"...Naive," Accel whispered, gripping his fist as he looked away for a moment, "Don't give me such naive bullshit!" he shouted, rushing Shotaro weapon at the ready, only to come to a stop as Akiko got in his way.

"Stop it right now!" she shouted, making Accel skid to a halt, "Ryu-kun…"

"..." Accel said nothing as his armor began to vanish, Ryu standing there with a look of pure anger "This city is rotten…"

"?" Kyoko raised a brow as she hurried over to join the two.

"That's why people are rotten," Ryu contrined with a growled, "I loathe this city with every fiber of my being…" he then turned his glare towards Kyoko, only for Shotaro to stand before her.

"Have a problem?" Shotaro frowned.

"...you should've ended Junko Enoshima when you had the chance," Ryu stated as he began to walk off, "Otherwise she wouldn't be roaming free now."

"Nani?" Akiko asked in shock.

Shotaro walked forward with a growl, "Terui Ryu!" he roared before falling over from his wounds accumulated from today's battles.

Shotaro grunted as he was laid down on the bed in the office, groaning from the pain as the team gathered the medical supplies and began addressing and patching his bruises.

"He really did try to kill her?" Naegi asked with wide eyes as he handed Akiko some bandages.

"Hai," Akiko nodded, unrolling the bandages as she began to apply them to Shotaro's wounds, "I never realized how much of a violent side he had."

"But...he's a Kamen Rider…" Hina noted, sitting with Philip as he searched his book.

"It seems he's not intending to be the same type of Kamen Rider as Shotaro or his mentor," Kyoko spoke up.

"The freezing incidents…" Shotaro grunted, "He must have a personal connection, that's why he's raging like this."

"Accel...the Kamen Rider fueled by the flames of rage and revenge…" Philip added.

"And this W Memory he mentioned…" Kyoko whispered, holding her chin in thought as she looked over at Mukuro, "Do you recall anyone working at a Museum with a Memory like that?"

"...Only whispers and mentions," Mukuro admitted, "However...there is a difference between this Dopant and the one who uses this W Memory...those inflicted by the former's ice somewhat survive while the latter's ice...they cease to be within moments."

"Scary…" Hina mumbled, currently hiding behind Philip.

"Still...this is rather interesting." Philip added, "W Memory. It's as if some form of fate has brought two Kamen Riders together. Or perhaps something stronger than fate." he mused, "But even still, Accel is a powerful system. Potentially even better than ours in terms of combat."

"So fighting him will be a bad idea?" Kyoko asked.

"Most certainly," Philip nodded, "But I believe avoiding it will be hard, he is not afraid to use his power on those who are not Monsters...or rather his ideal of monsters...is wider than our own. If we are right this is a misunderstanding stemming from a potential mistake. But...men of this burning passionate style...are incredibly hard to argue or reason with..." He raised his hand and counted from three, before pointing to Shotaro as he began sitting up and fixing his shirt and vest.

"What are you doing?" Kyoko asked.

"Terui is wrong…about how it should be done...and about my city," he grunted, grabbing his tie as he made his way towards the door and the coat rack with his jacket and fedora, "I'm going to solve this...the right way."

"You realize your wounded," she sighed.

"Well are you gonna give me lip or are you gonna help me?" Shotaro complained, already adjusting his tie at the door.

"Don't think I can't do both." Kyoko replied, walking after him.

"Wait! What about Shocho!" Akiko called out, "Naegi is in charge!"

"Ah nuts...that means Philip duty." Naegi sighed, seeing Philip spinning around in his chair as he thought Naegi was looking at something behind him, "Get the rope…"

"...You have learned my friend, but it won't be that easy." Philip replied as he suddenly combat rolled to the side, and opened a secret little door behind Shotaro's desk leading...god knows where.

"...I was sure he'd be unable to find that," Mukuro whispered.

"Now I'm worried about a lot of things…" Naegi muttered.

"I must do research! I must learn how different the cases are before I do something stupid and dangerous!" Philip declared, making them all worry a little more, "Fang, come on boy! Papa has to get involved in some pointless fighting!"

=Gao!=

"..Philip-kun's gonna be hungry," Hina spoke as she got up, taking her jacket off as she quickly put on a cooking apron, "I'll provide the donuts! Been thinking on making new recipes anyway for my eventual shop!"

"Please tell me you're just as lost about all this as I am…" Naegi turned to Mukuro.

"Admittedly so yes, even more than my sister's….episodes," Mukuro admitted as Hina ran off.

"Well...I'm just gonna wait till they come back, tell us what happened...and hold down the fort. I mean...the worst of it is gone. No Philip...no random pets or purchases." Naegi sighed with a smile, "Just you...and me…" he muttered, "A-And Hina...kinda…" he quickly coughed out.

"..." Mukuro said nothing as she looked away, a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.

"Suspect Katahiro Makiko has disappeared!" Makura exclaimed as he and Jinno stood before Ryu, who was sitting at his desk as he moved in his chair a bit, "We're currently using all our forces to find her!"

"There has been no proof that the flower seller has used a Gaia Memory, right?" Jinno asked.

"...just a child's report?" Ryu asked, turning around in his chair to avoid looking at them.

"Yes. Umm…"

"Good work," Ryu nodded as he got up and walked off, "I'll take care of the rest myself."

"Hmm...not a lot I can get rid of…" Philip mused from the Gaia Library, "Maybe I shouldn't focus on the Dopants or Memories...maybe the key here is...Terui Ryu himself." he muttered as he began removing more books, "Hmm…" he nodded as a book presented itself, "Time to see what fuels that searing flame."

Kiyo sighed, finishing his shift at his mom's shop for the afternoon. He looked around a few times before he made his way out the back exit of this unique shop. Without wasting any more time he ran off down the street and towards his next destination. All the while unaware Ryu was watching from behind a corner. He then sighed and began walking after him, trailing the unknowing boy to wherever it was he was going.

"I see, so Mother and Son are going to meet soon." Shotaro muttered, holding a can of energy drink, the probably unhealthy kind to drink in large amounts, and across from him was Watcherman with a smirk on his face as they met for this information trade, "Any idea where?" he asked while presenting the can.

Watcherman smiled while taking the can, "Probably Ayumi park." He explained, "The Flowerbed in that park is the Shop owners territory." he said in a serious tone, before returning to normal, "There are lots of places to hide~"

"Watcheman...I don't get you...but damn do I love having you as a friend." Shotaro smiled.

"Deal is a deal, you give me cheap unhealthy energy drinks the shop won't sell me anymore...I give you all the dirt you need from the deepest corners of the internet." he smirked.

"Good to know," Shotaro chuckled as Watcherman walked off.

"...something doesn't add up," Kyoko whispered, holding her chin in thought, "They're going to meet up in secret...what if…"

"Something up?" Akiko asked.

"Yes...first the amusement park, and now the park for a secret meeting...why is that?" Kyoko stated, "Furthermore...why would Makiko target famous people that are much younger than her? It doesn't add up…"

"You're right...her choices of locations have been really weird," Shotaro muttered, "They don't strike me as anything crime related."

"She looked really happy on the Merry-go-round." Akiko added, "I understand she has a business contract with those spots but...it does feel weird. I mean an Amusement park and then a playground park. All places you would...take a kid…"

"...that's it," Kyoko whispered as it dawned on her, "Makiko isn't the Dopant."

"Eh?" the two blinked at that.

Makiko sighed as she looked out at the currently empty Ayumi Park, as she did, memories of time spent here years ago came to her. It was...ghost-like, as if she could see the memory of her and her son here years ago when he was little. Back before she became this famous Flower shop owner. Back when she just worked in one, when she was just a normal mother happy trying to spend time with her child.

"Kaa-san!" Kiyo called out, snapping her out of her daydream, "What are you thinking?!"

"Kiyoshi!" she called out while jogging up to him.

"How reckless. Do you know how much you worried me!?" Kiyo complained, all the while neither aware of Ryu watching from some bushes large enough to hide him. From his eyes, it was the son confronting his mother, the criminal.

"What are you saying?!" Makiko sighed, reaching her son, "I did this knowing the consequences…" she spoke while putting her arms on Kiyo's shoulders. Ryu gripped his fists, as to him the narrative of these events were piecing together.

"What'll we do next?!" Kiyo complained while turning away from his mother. Ryu seeing this as the son growing tired of hiding secrets for his mother, "Enough...it's not my problem." he spoke while walking away from his mother.

"Kiyoshi!" Makiko called out as she tried to follow him, but he was already too far away for her to follow, "..."

"So...the son is tired of covering for the mother, huh?"

"?!" Makiko tensed as she quickly turned, seeing Accel walking over to her.

Accel swung down, making her scream, the woman having just enough time to dodge out of the way of the sword that could have ended her life. She looked up in terror at the Rider as in her eyes, it was no different from a Dopant. A humanoid visage of something, something powerful and beyond her.

"Why!?" he snapped, making her flinch, the pure burning rage in his voice could be felt clearly. It was what made Accel seem so monsterish to her. But...she didn't understand why he hated her so, "Why did you…" Accel gripped his hand, his voice breaking as a powerful memory filled his mind, stoking the flames of anger...but not enough to burn the stronger emotion behind it, "Why my…" he moved forward and flicked his hand to better grip his sword.

Makiko screamed, only for a voice to call out to Accel.

"Stop it, Terui!" Shotaro shouted, earning the two's attention as they saw Shotaro running up to him with Akiko and Kyoko catching up to him.

"Grr...Again, Hidari?!"

"Listen to me, Terui!" Shotaro called out.

"...There is nothing I want to hear!" Accel snapped, upset that once again his goal was kept out of his reach.

He lifted his Engine Blade up, and moved to end this, before he was forced to wait again. No...he couldn't fail them, not again! He swung down, only for Fang to tackle his sword away and knock him back a step. Everyone tensed and looked at Philip, his hand held out as Fang quickly landed in it.

"Good job," Philip nodded before glaring up as Accel.

"The right side, too?" he groaned, his rage only growing at the constant interruptions in his goal. He would not be denied, not after so long.

Makiko panted as she looked up, using the distraction to get up and quickly run off.

"Matte!" Accel snapped, noticing her running as he attempted to give chase, only for Shotaro to get in the way, "Grr...stop that! Do either of you have any idea what you're doing?!"

Shotaro just stood his ground refusing to back down. Accel grunted as he rushed and swung with his Engine Blade, but each swing was avoided by Shotaro. Shotaro easily ducked around each swing. The detective ran off and made Accel follow as he led him out of the park and into a more open section of public streets nearby. The entire time, he avoided swing after swing, the new Rider seemingly unable to land even a single hit.

"Shotaro," Philip and the others whispered as they followed.

"He can't even touch Shotaro…" Kyoko noted as Shotaro continued avoiding with very little effort, "Proof of who is more experienced as a fighter with the powers of a Driver."

"Agreed," Philip nodded, "Shotaro's skills are greater...but Accel is a superior system." he pointed out, "Shotaro, I'm better suited for stopping him!"

"Got it, I'm counting on you Aibou." Shotaro nodded as he avoided another clunky swing from Accel.

"Uhn!" Philip nodded, flipping Fang into its Memory form as he clicked it.

=FANG!=

Shotaro pulled out his Joker Memory as he put the Double Driver on and let the belt form on both him and Philip.

=JOKER!=

"Henshin!" they both declared at the same time.

=FANG JOKER!=

Shotaro's body fell over as Double ran forward and lunged at Accel. The two-in-one Rider rolled across the ground as Accel barely ducked to the side. Accel grunted and swung, only for Double to raise his right arm and used his rigged armor to deflect the blade away with a small flash of sparks.

"Kisama!" Accel shouted swinging as Double ducked to the side. He twisted his arm and swung back around only for the blade to glance off Double's gauntlets, "Kisama! Kisama!"

"He's lost it…" Joker spoke up.

"Rage has consumed him...we've seen this before, but never with such pure burning anger…" Fang spoke as Double raised and clapped his hands to catch the Engine Blade mid-swing, "But...that makes him sloppy...so all that power means nothing…"

Double grunted twisting the Engine Blade around before swinging and kicking Accel's left knee making the crimson Rider buckle and lose his balance. Double released the sword as he spun around and swung a kick to Accel's helmet which sent him flying back across the ground before rolling over it a bit. Accel grunted, pushing himself up as he slotted the Engine Memory into his sword.

=ENGINE!=

The Engine Blade began glowing with heat, before he aimed it forward, and like a gun fired a red energy blast shaped like a spike. Double grunted as he rolled forward across the greyhound to avoid one blast, he jumped to the side to avoid another, he grunted as he barely raised his arm to deflect a third away. The two-in-one Rider rushed forward as he suddenly rolled forward to avoid another blast. Getting close enough, Double roared as he swung and landed a punch to Accel's less armored stomach area, making him grunt in pain. Accel rushed and swung only for Double to circle around him and punch him across his helmet again. Accel grunted as he thrust his sword, only for Double to once again step and spin around the attack before grabbing Accel by his back armor...and using the momentum to toss him across the ground. Double turned around just as Accel got up and swung again, the Two-In-One rider suddenly jumped up and kicked his legs back as he used the soles of his boots to block the sword and push Accel back once more as the sudden stop messed up his momentum and ruined his balance.

"Sugoi…" Akiko awed as Double jumped and rolled around to avoid more of Accel's swings.

"It's like Philip said, Accel is a stronger system...but Ryu is not the stronger Rider." Kyoko added.

=ELECTRIC!=

Accel roared out as his blade was soon covered in red electricity. The red Rider charged as he slashed at Double once again, getting a few hits in before the two-in-one Rider rolled away.

=SHOULDER FANG!=

Double grabbed the Shoulder Fang before he tossed it at Accel. It's erratic and unpredictable path proved too much for Accel as it blocked the path of his swing before curving around and slashing his arm. It moved around and kept him trapped in place, before it swung around and slashed his back and then to his chest making sparks fly. As Accel focused on the bladed boomerang he failed to keep track of Double. That is till he felt a pair of claws hands grab his arm and twist it into an arm bar hold which pushed him down a little and kept his blade up in the air, in an angle at which he couldn't move it, and its own weight added to the holds power against him.

"Seems like you're not so powerful without composure." Fang spoke, Double twisting the arm more, "Calm yourself Terui Ryu!"

"Why do you get in my way!?" Accel grunted trying to break free, "As a guardian of the law I am merely carrying out Justice!"

"That is not the voice of Justice!" Fang countered, "This is just personal revenge! That is something we can't allow!"

Accel suddenly froze up, his head turning to look at Double, "You researched me?"

"Ahh…" Fang spoke as he relaxed his grip and let Accel push him off.

Accel walked forward as his armor fell apart around him, Double did the same as he removed the Gaia Memories, letting the armor fade away to reveal Philip.

"Revenge?" Shotaro asked upon returning to his body as Kyoko helped him back to his feet.

"That's right," Philip replied, "I learned it after I studied the previous freezing incidents in Fuuto." he looked at the others before looking at Ryu who was in the midst of a strong storm of emotions and internal conflict, "His family was killed...by an ice powered Dopant."

Ryu walked forward, hard to say his face was angry, the many things he felt making it hard to read. He took in a sharp deep breath through his nose as he got closer to Philip, he suddenly grabbed his jacket, "What do you understand?!" he hissed as he glared at Philip, "How much can you know about that day, Lookup boy!" he shouted, as his anger returned to the forefront of his mind, "Can you look up the screams of a man's heart?!"

Philip took a moment to compose himself, "No, I cannot look up a person's heart." he looked at Ryu with concern, "So please tell me what happened." he spoke making Ryu blink, "I have learned from many irreplaceable friends...if you don't say what you are feeling...it will swallow you!" Philip's own face grew sad as very recent memories flashed in his mind.

"What?" Ryu asked, confused by the look Philip had.

"Well...your request was for us Detectives to help the police officer solve something, right?" Philip argued, "To do that, we need all information so we can solve this properly...and find the true criminal…"

"..."

"You can trust us," Kyoko assured as she and Akiko helped Shotaro up, "We've dealt with things like this before…given those caught in despair a sense of hope."

"...there is no hope for me, or my…" Ryu began, gripping his fist for a moment as he walked over to the side of a building, "...I had a father, a mother...and a little sister. Just an ordinary family…But….last August, when I got home..."

-flashback-

"Kaa-san, Tou-san, Haruko!" Ryu gasped, dressed in a policeman's uniform as he stood within a frozen home, looking at a older couple and a young girl completely coated in ice, their skin already lost all color, "What the hell...who…?!"

"R….R….Ryu…" the man weakly spoke.

"?!" Ryu tensed up as he carefully approached him, "What happened, Tou-san? Who did this…"

"Ice...an ice….Kaijin...a W...GaiaMemory…"

"A what? Tou-san I don't…!" Ryu began as he touched his father, only for him, his mother and his younger sister to be completely shattered into icy crystals and dust, "?!"

To him...much like the frozen home, time seemed to freeze for Ryu. He couldn't register what had just happened...no. More like...he didn't want to believe what just had. His family...his most treasured people gone within the blink of an eye. Reality slowly began to catch up with him as he began to pant, his voice starting to raise up as he began to let out a mournful...despair-filled yell.

"So that's why your so hellbent on pursuing Makiko…you believe she is the person who wields this 'W' Memory," Kyoko realized.

"The pattern does look similar…" Shotaro added, "But things don't add up."

"Why do you have the Accel GaiaMemory?" Philip asked.

"She appeared before me..." Ryu began.

"Wh...who are you?" Ryu asked, seeing Shroud standing a few feet from him.

"I am Shroud...I have experienced the same suffering as you have."

"Shroud…?" Ryu repeated as she raised her arm.

"You hate the culprit, correct?", she asked while pointing at Ryu, before slowly moving her hand to the side, "I will give you power," she pointed to the Engine Blade buried in the ground, "I...will support your revenge." she said as a ring of fire surrounded the sword.

"I didn't know who that woman was…" Ryu explained, "But it doesn't matter!" he growled as his rage ignited again, "As long as I get revenge against the devil who took away my family!"

"So...that was your…" Shotaro began.

"Begins Night." Philip finished.

"Ryu-kun…" Akiko spoke.

Ryu looked at Shotaro, "This city is nothing but a den of demons." he turned to look at Kyoko too, before he turned to Philip, "I have finally found the demon who took my family from me." he walked closer, "I will eliminate Katahira Makiko. You have no right to stop me." with that he walked away.

Kyoko moved to say something only for Shotaro to walk forward, "Terui!" he called out, "I feel your pain and anguish," he spoke up getting Ryu's attention, "But because of that, you nearly killed the wrong person!"

"Nandato?" Ryu asked as the flame utterly vanished, he slowly turned to look at Shotaro.

"The culprit…" Shotaro sighed, "...is not Katahira Makiko." he declared as Philip and Kyoko blinked along with Ryu at his statement.

"...explain."

"Lets go." Shotaro spoke simply.

"To where?"

"The club."

"...what?" Ryu, Kyoko, Akiko and Phillip blinked at that.

Sure enough Shotaro led the way to a private dance club in Fuuto, it was reserved for a private party...and by that someone paid to have their run of the club and invite anyone they wanted. Sure enough the ratio of Women to Men was skewed in favor of the former by the organizer. The music was playing loud and was some random EDM soundtrack that got all the party goers excited. With the organizer of this little event being literally center staged in this little slowly revolving circular stage, people gathered around as he did some moderate dancing to the music. None other than Makiko's son, Katahira Kiyoshi was the one in the center of it all, looking happy as he swung his jacket around before tossing it off into the crowd, winking at the girl who caught it.

Ryu and the others looked around in shock at the party going on as Shotaro just walked over to the DJ, who looked at him and sighed, indicating this probably wasn't the first time Shotaro arrived here to break up a party for a case. The DJ walked off as Shotaro politely reached down and unplugged the sound system making the music just suddenly cut, making everyone stumble at the sudden end to their music. They all began murmuring complaints as they looked at the confused Kiyo. He looked around before he looked up to the upper level where the DJ was stationed as well as acting as the one of the main entrances to the club.

"Da hell?" he blinked, "HEY! Hurry up and play the music! I still got this place booked for the day!"

"Ah…" Shotaro sighed walking forward and leaned on the railing, "Break it up, Obouchan," he pointed to Kiyo.

He frowned, before he clicked his tongue and stomped on the stage, "Go home!" he shouted to his guests.

"What? Why!?" many shouted in complaint.

"Argh! Shut up! Just go home!" Kiyo complained as he pointed to the exit to the back.

"Why?! What the heck!" Many complained as most just got fed up with his mood and began milling out one by one.

"...So that's why…" Kyoko whispered as the group began to approach Kiyo, "I had a feeling Makiko was trying to protect someone...and it just happened to be her son."

"Don't tell me...he is…" Ryu began as they reached the dance floor.

"Yep. He's the culprit." Shotaro nodded, "The son, Katahira Kiyoshi." he revealed as Kiyoshi more or less looked more slightly annoyed and pouty that his party was ruined.

"Kisama ga...Dopant?" Ryu asked, his mind working hard to process what was happening, from how mistaken he was to the fact he aimed it all at an innocent person, the true culprit right here before him.

Kiyoshi blinked a bit, "Ah…" he nodded simply as if he wasn't admitting to using a highly illegal and dangerous substance to commit crimes, "I just got it back from my mother in the park." he even picked up his jacket and pulled out a blue colored GaiaMemory from a hidden inner pocket.

"Its just like Watcherman's info said." Shotaro sighed, scratching his chin, "It isn't really the Mother whose reputation is bad. It's the son who secretly uses her money to go play around."

"It seems all the people he attacked were customers of his mother that angered him." Philip explained as he just finished a quick look up on Kiyo.

"So that was their connection," Kyoko spoke up, "It's why all of them seemed so random. There was no pattern...it was just personal."

"Other than the fact they are all adults who looked down on the playboy son," Shotaro added.

"Tsk…" Kiyo complained as it was true, "They all mocked me!" he groaned, "They all said I'm a useless son who sponges off his mother." he looked at his GaiaMemory, "That's why I got this, I'll just freeze everyone who pisses me off. Like that Ikeda bastard..." he then looked at Shotaro, "...and you too!"

"Huh?" Shotaro blinked, before he recalled bumping into him earlier at the flower shop.

"Eh?! For something like bumping into you!? Seriously!?" Akiko asked.

"Wow...what fortune…" Shotaro muttered sarcastically as Kyoko tapped his shoulder both in genuine and slightly patronizing support.

"I'll freeze anyone who ruins my mood." Kiyo replied simply.

"Then...Katahira Makiko…" Ryu began in realization.

"She just covered for her son." Shotaro sighed, "She was intentionally distributing flowers at those scenes…"

"To draw attention away from her beloved son." Kyoko added, "She was willing to take on his sins...just out of pure love."

"I...almost got...the wrong person…?" Ryu asked as his mind worked a mile a minute, processing what he learned, and realizing the grave sin he almost committed. He wanted revenge for his family, but they'd never want him to kill someone uninvolved in his quest. The only one who must burn is the one who did the crime, and he almost hurt someone who was truly innocent.

Kiyo noticed this shocked look on Ryu, and not knowing the depth of what was going on, found something fun to poke at, "It sure is fun to freeze people." he chuckled as Ryu's eyes narrowed, a dangerous glare forming within them, Kiyo's laughter just stoking the once dying flame, the embers awakening once more with each laugh.

"You little shit…" Shotaro growled, stepping forward.

"Matte!" Everyone turned to see Makiko walking in from the back, "Please wait! Give me time...I can stop him!" she argued as she got onto the stand, "Kiyoshi...please st-"

"BACK OFF!" Kiyo snapped as he pushed her down, "No one asked you to cover for me."

"Disgusting," Kyoko scowled.

"Omae…" Shotaro growled, "That's your mother! How can you treat her like that?!"

"Think you can stop me?" Kiyo taunted as he jumped off and ran, but then stopped as he inserted the GaiaMemory and transformed into his Dopant form. He raised his hand and blasted them with a gust of stinging frigid air.

The entire time Makiko just watched with a horrified and pained look as she saw her son as a literal monster. The delight he took in causing harm...it hurt worse than she could put into words. Shotaro grunted as he stumbled back from the pain her son caused, holding his arm, which thankfully just amounted in some damage to his coat sleeve. Shotaro got up and moved to chase...but stopped when he noticed Makiko. He turned to the others, getting their attention as his anger softened, and his usual confident expression took over.

"We're going to stop him." he spoke loudly getting Makiko's attention, he even took a step closer, "I won't let you merry-go-round alone anymore." he declared.

"Tantei-san…?" she asked, confused but...hopeful at Shotaro's words.

Ryu's eyes widened, Shotaro just...stopped, quelled his anger and chose to bring hope to someone who was suffering. To help someone in pain before going for justice or retribution.

"I just can't forget your lonely expression as you rode horse six. That's all," Shotaro smiled. He then turned to the exit the Iceage Dopant took, "Lets go Philip!"

"Oh good, this time it's your turn. My muscles are still screaming from kicking Ryu's butt!" Philip declared as they ran out, "Ow…" he complained while running.

"Daijoubu Desu Ka?" Akiko asked while going over to Makiko, "Kyoko-chan, I'll take care of her, so go make sure the boys are okay."

"Understood," Kyoko nodded as she hurried off after Shotaro and Philip.

"Naive…" Ryu spoke up, getting Akiko's attention.

"Ryu-kun?" she blinked.

"It's so naive…" he grunted as he tried to hold back something which he realized once more, "I can't stand it…" he struggled as the feelings overwhelmed the flames.

"It's because he's half-boiled." Akiko smiled, knowing that trait is what made Shotaro the person he is.

"No…" Ryu spoke as he forced it down, "If his personality wasn't like that." he looked up at Akiko and Makiko with an expression of regret, "Right now I would be…"

Ice Age panted as he ran from the trio of detectives, running down a grassy hill in order to evade them.

"He's already out of breath even in a Dopant body." Shotaro noted.

"Being a Dopant doesn't always mean you'll become more athletic…" Philip mused, "But it does help in a pinch."

"Let's give him something to sweat about," Shotaro offered.

"Henshin!" both declared, slotting their GaiaMemories.

=HEAT JOKER!=

Kyoko managed to arrive just in time to catch Philip's body as Shotaro became HeatJoker. He jumped at the fleeing Dopant with a dual-roar, earning his attention. The Dopant spun around just in time to get a fire-engulfed punch to the face that sent him tumbling away towards the riverside by the hill. Ice Age grunted before looking at the water and then towards the Rider. He swung his arms up...and a tidal wave of water rose behind him from the river.

"Huh? Philip…" Joker began.

"Oh, I forgot about this," Heat noted as the tidal wave transformed into a flurry of icicle spears that shot out at them, forcing Double to roll out of the way from the barrage and then onto his feet to start dodging the assault via breakdancing, "So glad for that dancing case."

"Philip, what the hell?!"

"The Ice Age wasn't ice itself. It was an event that spanned over the oceans; it even hid mass continental drift until the ice began to melt. As long as there is something to freeze, he has something to his advantage. I should have realized that when he ran for a body of water!"

"How can you not remember something like that?!"

"I was a little occupied with dealing with all the nonsense in our life, and was more than a little miffed at Terui-san...so...I apologize."

"It's fine," Joker sighed as he backflipped over more icicles, "But it's not fine that he keeps shooting at us! If he wants a shooting, he's getting one!"

=HEAT TRIGGER!=

Heat grabbed the gun once Trigger formed and proceeded to start shooting at the icicles that rained down upon them. However the hail of icicles was too much as one managed to knock his gun out of his hand. Heat then quickly grabbed an Icicle just as it got near him, quickly melting it with his intense heat. A roar made Double look up in time to see Ice Age jumping at him, throwing a punch at him. Double blocked it only for Ice Age to start releasing his freezing mists while throwing more punches at the Rider that Double blocked. In frustration, Ice Age managed to grab Double by the shoulders and froze them a little, finally letting him get an opening to deliver a haymaker across his face, knocking Double away.

"Hmph. Listen to the sound of yourself falling apart," Ice Age coldly ordered, wiping his hands together.

He let more of his freezing mists erupt off his body until his body seemed to be completely engulfed in the cold. With a roar, he charged at Double intent on freezing him to the dual souls. However, he was knocked away and his mists dispersed by a large familiar blade slamming into him, spinning around twice in the air before landing on the ground and digging into it with its blade and weight.

"He could barely lift it up before getting that belt, but now he can throw it like an Olympic javelin thrower?" Kyoko questioned, raising a brow in surprise and confusion as Ryu approached his sword.

"Ryu…" Heat spoke in surprise.

"Omae?" Trigger blinked, seeing Ryu actually show up.

Ryu barely glanced at the two-in-one Rider before pulling out his Driver and put it on his waist, letting the belt form. He then held up his Memory and clicked it.

=ACCEL=

"Hen...shin!" Ryu declared before slotting the Memory in and twisting the throttle.

=ACCEL!=

The red pistons formed around him as heat condensed raw material into his armor, replacing Ryu with Kamen Rider Accel once more.

"Sa…" Accel began as he drew his blade from the ground, "Furikiruze!"

With that, Accel rushed forward as he swung and struck Ice Age, making sparks and steam fly. He swung his arm around and struck his shoulder and down across his chest before swinging from left to right and slashing the abdomen. Iceage grunted as he stumbled back from the attacks and into the grass hill behind him. But he had little time to adjust as Accel grabbed and dragged him back to his feet. He grabbed the Engine Blade by the back of the blade and swung around to bash the Dopant with the pommel. He swung and struck his face again before slamming the pommel into his abdomen, making the Dopant gasp and double over.

Accel grunted as he let go of the blade and swung up, slashing Ice Age and cutting into his frozen armor once more. He swung back down and cut the same area, making an even deeper gash in his monster form. He spun around on his feet...and actually spun around at high speeds as if the soles of his boots were wheels, swinging the sword and slashing the Dopant with the speed picked up from his spin. He twisted his hand and spun around counterclockwise this time, as once again the momentum made the sword cut even deeper as the Dopant cried in pain and was knocked back.

Ice Age grunted rolling across the grass of the park and closer to the lake. He looked back before he stood up and raised his hands, making the water rise up once more. Accel clicked the back of the Engine Blade and flicked it to open the GaiaMemory compartment before he inserted the Engine Memory.

=ENGINE!=

Accel let the 'engine' rev up for a moment before he clicked the trigger just as the water began forming into giant icicle spears.

=STEAM!=

Accel grunted before he thrust the Engine Blade up into the air as it unleashed a burst of red tinted steam into the air, which quickly formed a barrier. The scalding steam melted the ice to the point it evaporated away, causing the two alternate states of water to cancel one another out. Once there was no more ice flying at him, Accel rushed forward and clicked the trigger of the Engine Blade again.

=ELECTRIC=

Electricity crackled along the Engine Blade as Accel closed the distance. He roared and swung up, the blade striking Ice Age and sending him flying up into the air while simultaneously being electrocuted. Accel grunted as he pressed down on the trigger for a long moment.

=MAXIMUM DRIVE!=

Accel groaned as he ran his left hand along the back of the Engine Blade, his visor lighting up as red energy formed along the blade and up to the tip. He waited as Ice Age began falling down before thrusting the sword up, the blade unleashing a massive amount of red energy shaped into a giant flying A as it struck the Dopant like a missile. It enveloped him in a giant explosion as he was blown back and left to tumble across the grass once more, his body sparking all the while.

"Zetsubou wa…" Accel spoke as he clicked the Engine Blade to release the Engine Memory as it was ejected like a spent ammo shell into his waiting hand, "Omae no goal da." he finished as his visor dimmed down, the Dopant exploding once more as his Gaia memory flew out.

Kiyoshi gasped as he rolled across the ground, a look of shock and pain from the beating he got in his Dopant form. He also looked much paler than before, he looked up as Accel flicked his sword back to normal...and began walking closer.

"You're the one…" Accel spoke as his visor flashed once more, the young man freezing in terror as the Rider stomped closer, "You took my family from me!" he growled as an aura of rage and menace came off Accel making Kiyoshi freeze and begin to panic.

"Wait!" Double shouted as he rushed forward, his armor vanishing, leaving Shotaro in his place.

Kiyoshi panicked as Accel lifted his sword up. From his perspective...the Rider looked more like a monster at this moment.

"Stop it, Terui! Stop!" Shotaro shouted as he ran towards the two.

"Don't kill him!" Kyoko screamed.

"Tasukete!" Kiyoshi cried in panic as he raised his arms...only to blink as he didn't feel a blade...but something click around his wrist. He looked up to see Ryu as he placed handcuffs on him.

"Let's change directions…" Ryu glared down at Kiyoshi, "Omae no goal...prison." he replied as he pulled him up to his feet. Everyone stared in shock as he began dragging Kiyoshi away, Ryu sighed as he stopped to look at Shotaro, "Half-Boiled...seems that's your style."

"Eh?" Shotaro blinked.

Ryu looked down slightly, "This city needs both styles together." he spoke as he turned his head away from Shotaro, "I'm also…" he took a moment as he began realizing the true meaning of the name, "A Kamen Rider."

"No. I'm not necessarily a half-bo…" Shotaro began before Kyoko elbowed him in the side, "Gh! Oi…"

"Let him have this moment," Kyoko whispered.

"Hai…" Shotaro sighed dejectedly.

"It's a step towards some form of bond," Philip sighed to himself, knowing both Shotaro and Ryu would be a handful for him...not like he was one to talk, "Hm?" he looked at where Kiyoshi had been, "The Memory's intact?"

Ryu knelt down and picked up the GaiaMemory, the cloudy day making the semi-clear ice-blue a bit harder to see through with the white ribcage design. He turned the Memory around and his eyes widened. The Memory's image was an I, covered in frost and icicles.

"It...its not a W…" Ryu spoke as it began sparking in his hand.

=ICE AGE= the Memory let out before shattering =ICE...Ageeeee…=

"As I thought...it was Ice Age…" Philip spoke as Ryu just stared with a look of horror.

"How long have you had that Memory?" Kyoko asked.

"A...A week now," Kiyoshi replied, "A guy in a suit offered me one after a party from a briefcase of them."

"Then...you're not the one with the 'W' Memory…" Ryu spoke as the horror of the fact the murderer of his family was still out there dawned on him.

"Considering how Gaia Memories can use basically anything for their subjects, Philip's in for quite a read on all things starting with 'W'," Kyoko noted.

"He's still out there…" Ryu spoke just as clouds began rolling in, "The Culprit...is somewhere else…" he spoke just as a thunderclap went off in the distance.

A gentle piano tune played for the diners of a fanciful restaurant. A figure picked up their bowler hat and gave a polite nod to Saeko and Wakana, both dressed in fancy dresses for the place, before picking up an umbrella off his seat and proceeded to walk off. The moment he was walking away and not seeing them, both sisters adopted unsettled expressions.

"He smiles, but he's a scary man," Wakana softly noted before hugging herself, "I've got chills…"

"He's a special man, isn't he?" Saeko asked, eying the figure as they approached a piano, "They say the GaiaMemory gave birth to a mutated monster. Worthy of me..."

"Oneesama?!"

"I mean, worthy of Museum and the Sonozaki Family," Saeko corrected.

"Mmm…" she scowled in annoyance at her sister, 'Moving on fast…'

"Oh relax, I joke," Saeko smiled, "No one can win him over. What's important is we don't make an enemy of him either. As long as he shares an enemy with us…"

"The Kamen Rider?" Wakana asked.

"Business will be good for us." Saeko smirked.

The figure took over playing the piano for a while...before suddenly slamming down on the keys, filling the room with an eerie and abrupt sound. He waited a moment before he reached into his coat and pulled out an exceptionally dark black Gaia Memory, with the white bone patterns greyed out. He laid it on the ebony keys of the piano, letting its letter be shown. Starting with a ray of light going to the right, rain met it from the left. A bolt of lightning came opposite the rain, striking at the base of a tornado. All four put together made the letter of the Memory…'W.'

"'Katahira Kiyoshi was arrested by the Police. Will that family ride number six again?'" Shotaro whispered to himself as he typed down the report, "'All I can do is believe in them.'" he gently removed the report from the typewriter and checked it over for any mistakes, "So...one question. Don't get mad when I ask this…" he put the paper down and glowered, "Terui."

Ryu looked up from the mugs of coffee he was pouring for everyone, a neutral expression on his face as he continued on with the task without looking.

"Ask away Hidari." he replied simply as he brought the mugs to the table for Philip, Akiko, and Hina along with a box of donuts he also brought.

"Why the hell...are you making coffee in our place?!" Shotaro snapped, slamming a hand on his desk as he shot up.

"It's because yours is too awful," Ryu countered as he grabbed a mug for him and Kyoko, "The brand, the mix, even how long you steeped it. It needed to be done right, so I decided to share the coffee I make for the precinct with you all."

"Hah?"

"You make the beans themselves cry," Ryu stated as the trio of Philip, Akiko, and Hina took sips.

"UMEI~!" the trio exclaimed.

"No way…" Shotaro muttered as he looked at Kyoko, who was happily drinking hers, "It can't be that…" he took a sip and froze, "Umai!?"

"Hmm," Ryu smirked, "It seems I realized how you get anything done around here. It seems you need your bookworm for these private detectives to make any progress. In that case, he'd be better off being my partner at the Police HQ. His power is out of balance with you." he smirked while looking mostly at Shotaro.

"What was that?!" Shotaro snapped as Ryu began to leave, "Don't screw with me…" he growled out, grabbing a pillow from Philip's bed as he tossed it at the door, "Don't ever come back!"

"Excuse m-Fugaw!" Naegi-who was just walking in through the door past Ryu- cried when the pillow hit him instead, "Pfft! Ah! Goose feathers in my mouth! Ack! Ptui!"

"How dare you let that hit our sidekick!" Shotaro complained as Ryu smirked and made his way to his bike, "Why you...!"

"You have more important matters," Ryu stated, not even looking back.

"Hah?" Shotaro demanded before hearing a gun cock.

"Beginning operation," the Ultimate Soldier stated before smacking Shotaro in the face with the pillow.

"Pfft! Ack! Mouth was open! Ugh! Philip just had to make this one from goose feathers, didn't he?!" Shotaro gagged.

"He forgot about the girlfriend," Kyoko chuckled, watching the antics play out, "Now...how to fix these three…" she turned to the still frozen trio, "...Hmm...Philip, I have a list of Keywords for you."

"Research?" Philip snapped out of it.

"Yes. How to fix them," she pointed to Akiko and Hina, "First; Shock, Paralysis, and Smelling Salts."

"Ooh~" Philip mused as he got his book and took another sip of coffee, "Umai!" he shouted just as his hair and eyes lit up, sending him to the Gaia Library.

"..." Naegi blinked twice, "...Um...He froze when he took a drink of this, right?"

"Yes," Kyoko replied.

"And he just took another drink just now as he was going into the Gaia Library, right?"

"He did," Kyoko confirmed.

"...He's frozen here and in the Library, isn't he?"

"Most likely," she nodded as she offered him a mug, "Try it; it really is amazing."

"It can't be that good if it makes y-Umai!" he shouted after taking a sip.

"So this is what silence in the morning is like. I enjoy it," Kyoko smiled while walking off with her mug, ignoring the mad scrambling Shotaro trying to avoid the expert shots of a thrown pillow by Mukuro.
