So this miscellaneous chapter is mostly dedicated to two things, a few trivia notes and the episode previews I did in advance for all the episodes that never made it to the light of day.

TRIVIA:

-You could say this story was sort of the final evolution of my desire to write a Kamen Rider and Smash Bros. crossover. Alongside being an evolution of me wanting to try and rewrite a Smash Bros. story similar to the first one I ever wrote on this site. I had gone through many ideas, slowly working my way forward as Smash 4 was released.

-The one real change was when I decided to go for Riders instead. One draft was going to be Drive and another was going to be Specter. Then there was EX-MAYHEM my attempted Ex-Aid and Smash crossover. This was probably a mistake due to writing it while Ex-Aid was just barely starting to take off and thus me sort of losing the drive to finish it. It wasn't long before I decided to go for an original Rider.

-While the original version of the story is no longer around, the idea was that Smash would have a base suit that would be powered up by two combo's instead of the combo's being their own without one intermediary one. The original gimmick item was also capsules similar to the Geed Capsules of Ultraman Geed. After a while of thinking I had figured that Smash Tokens, based on R/B Crystals, would work better for the aesthetic.

-Original concepts also included Eiji taking Junmei's place as the secondary Rider and being a friend only. Junmei also would have had no relation to Kenshin and would have just been a friend searching for the two while also becoming a version of Segata I had envisioned. Some drafts even didn't include Echo or Junmei as a concept with Eiji just being a Sega based Rider altogether. A different cut Rider that would be introduced in these early stage concepts was Samus utilizing Metroid Tokens to become Kamen Rider Huntress.

-Early concepts for Smash's combos were also different with some including a more wild berserk form based on Bowser and Donkey Kong. Another form was a Link and Zelda magic based swordsman form called Mystic Blademaster. Before Echo came into fruition there was one also based on Metroid that used Samus and Ridley, Draconic Hunter.

-Speaking of forms, I tried to have the base of each of Smash's forms be based in the N64 Era, the originals, so Mario, Link, Fox, and Pikachu as the start. With that I'd start at that era for characters introduced and go up for each of the combinations up until 4, Luigi (64), Ganondorf (Melee), Wolf (Brawl), Greninja (4). So there was a bit of a pattern when it came to the base set of four. I was thinking of maybe a fifth form but I wanted both Junmei and Kenshin to have the same amount of base forms to make both systems fairly even.

-Kenshin and Junmei both have concepts for unused forms that were changed during the final draft. A form based on Palutena being replaced by the Divine Duality while Kenshin would have gained a more Subspace centric form for the final battle.

-The Special Decade crossover with Smash actually wasn't the first idea for it. The first idea was actually a Kamen Rider Ex-Aid crossover. But I felt like I could have a bit more fun with Decade than Ex-Aid. And I didn't want to do the super obvious crossover.

-One thing that was never addressed was Eiji's world and origins since that would have been more subtle and in the details of actual episodes. Basically the Decade crossover was to allow the concept of other canon Rider Worlds into Smash's universe. Eiji himself would have been from the main Rider World and would have been primarily involved in Ex-Aid's events, specifically Kamen Rider Chronicle. He was one of the players, and was decently alright at it. Of course he would have had his gear confiscated before anything bad happened to him. But him being unable to help CR due to being labeled as a civilian casualty would be his main drive in wanting to become a Rider and going to the World of Smash. And that would be where his minor hero complex would come from.

-The episode titles have a specific gimmick, and that's basically me attempting to use three words only for every title.

-And the final fun fact that I don't think anyone ever caught onto, the way I decided to do the Next Episode Previews. I was basically taking a cue from Garo where they don't really explain what's happening next in a literal sense. Instead they talk about the themes or give a very vague description of what will happen by a character narrating. Some episode previews were also lifted nearly word for word due to them fitting rather well for what I wanted to say.

And those were the remaining previews for Kamen Rider Smash, figured I'd at least bring those out. I had thought to put them in the summary chapters but felt they'd break the flow too much. Especially once I started doing the skits. Either way there's only one chapter left before I close the book on this series. I'll see you then.
