Ash and his friends were at the cafeteria, celebrating Kirby's victory over Brock Harrison as Kirby was more than happy that Brock Harrison is in prison.
"Congratulations, Kirby. You've defeated Brock and totally humiliated him in front of the whole crowd." Tiff smiled as she was eating her rice.
"That's two traitors down and out. Let's hope that the rest of the traitors don't bother us for a while." Ribbon said.
"Don't forget that King Dedede and Escargoon are also our concern as well. Since they've signed up for the tournament too." Tuff said.
"True on that, we'll worry about them later. Right now, I'm glad that Kirby made it past the first round." Ash said.
"I'm so impressed that Kirby's Magikarp evolved into Gyarados and took out Brock's three Pokemon. I didn't expect that to happen." Ritchie said.
"Kirby sure raised his Pokemon very well and that's how he was able to win the match." Clemont said as he adjusted his glasses.
Meta Knight however didn't cheer. Instead he was concerned about how the traitors were able to turn their own Pokemon into monsters. He knew that they weren't smart enough to turn them into the way he saw them. He also knew that there was something more to it and he was going to find out who's behind this.
"Brock got what was coming to him. He's been a burden since day 1. And was a pain in my butt." Max said as he sighed in relief.
"What I want to know is how was he able to transform his Pokemon into monsters like that? I mean Brock isn't smart enough to do so." Knuckle Joe said, gaining attention towards him.
"That's what I was thinking about, Knuckle Joe. Somebody's behind this mess." Tory said.
"I bet King Dedede and Escargoon are behind this mess, since they made a monster making serum to transform Dyna Chick into a monster." Tuff said as he remembered how King Dedede and Escargoon kidnapped Dyna Chick.
"Now that you've mentioned it. Let's go find those crooks." Tiff said.
The gang left the cafeteria to find King Dedede and Escargoon.
Meanwhile with the traitors who were raging about Brock's arrest.
"This is ridiculous! First Misty was thrown in jail, now Brock is too! Those guys are getting under my skin right now!" Trip raged as he pulled at his hair.
"We've got to be very careful how we battle them. Who knows how strong they all are." Drew said.
"I'm not worried about battling those weaklings! Our Pokemon are powerful monsters now, thanks to Doctor Moro using the giga monster serum." Iris said.
Just then King Dedede and Escargoon walked into the room.
"Well well well. Looks like we got more people who hate Kirby and his friends as much as we do." Escargoon chuckled.
"Huh? Who are you guys?" Paul asked.
"I'm glad you asked. I'm the great King Dedede, the king of dreamland." King Dedede introduced himself to the traitors.
"I'm King Dedede's assistant, Escargoon. And we heard that you guys had turned against that little punk Ash Ketchum and his puny little followers." Escargoon said.
"So you two hate Kirby and Ash too, huh? Well, how sweet. Considering that I've always wanted to get rid of that worthless son of mine who can't even do anything right." Delia chuckled.
Escargoon cringed at that as he was glad that his own mother hadn't said anything horrible about getting rid of him like that. Sure Escargoon hated Ash and his friends, but he had never heard about a mother killing her own son.
"That's d-d-deadly talk right there. Heh heh heh heh! We could have more people on our side as well." King Dedede chuckled.
"You have yourself a deal, your majesty. With your help, we can take down Ash and Kirby." Prof Oak laughed evilly as he and King Dedede shook hands.
"Heh heh heh! Now that's professionalism and we've got a monster delivery to download lots of monsters that would whoop Ash and Kirby very good." King Dedede smirked as he laughed as well.
"Awesome. That way we destroy those losers and rid the world of them." Drew smirked.
Little did they know that May was nowhere to be seen.
Meanwhile with Jessie, James and Meowth, the three trio were panting from exhaustion from running away from Giovanni and his grunts.
They were now jobless and didn't know what to do now.
"T-This is ridiculous! I cannot believe our boss actually tried to destroy us back there!" James cried out in relief that they managed to escape.
"Had Wobbuffet not used his Mirror Coat to deflect that hyper beam, we would've been as good as dead!" Jessie shrieked.
"I really really hate that Persian with a burning passion. The next time I see that overgrown fur ball, I'm going to skin him alive and make sure his skin is furless!" Meowth declared.
"What should we do now? Since we're not part of Team Rocket anymore, we're probably hopeless and no more." James sighed in shame.
"No you're not! You guys still have a bright future!" said the brown furniture creature that was in the trees along with his Shiftry.
"Whoa! Who are you and what's with the Shiftry!?" Meowth gasped.
"Kit Cosmos is my name and we saw how bad your so-called boss betrayed you three back there." Kit Cosmos said as he and Shiftry jumped down from the trees.
"Oh my! Are you some kind of warrior!?" Jessie asked.
"You bet I Am! I'm a Star Warrior and this is my partner Shiftry." Kit Cosmos said.
"Shiftry. The pleasure is yours." Shiftry said as he bowed.
"You three aren't the only ones who have been betrayed. A boy named Ash Ketchum was betrayed by his so-called friends and family who tried to kill him and his loyal friends, but luckily Kirby managed to rescue him just in time and escape." Kit Cosmos explained.
The three former Team Rocket members were shocked to say the least at that revelation.
"WHAT!? THAT'S WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!" James shouted loudly as he could not believe what he just heard.
"I can't believe the twerp's so-called mother would do such an awful thing to him. That's one of the cruelest things I have ever heard." Jessie gasped.
"I know and you three need more Pokemon since you're all low on Pokemon! So let's start catching more Pokemon!" Kit Cosmos said as he banged his weapon on the ground like a general.
"Yikes!" The trio squealed as they got to work on catching lots of Pokemon.
Kit Cosmos' Pokemon: Shiftry, Golduck, Ninjask, Zoroark, Escavalier, Druddigon, Gallade.
Jessie's Pokemon: Seviper, Yanmega, Wobbuffet, Woobat, Jellicent (female), Gourgeist, Smoochum, Bellossom, Dustox, Arbok.
James' Pokemon: Carnivine, Yamask, Amoonguss, Inkay, Scolipede, Mime Jr., Cacturne, Garbodor, Weezing, Pikachutwo.
"It's so great to finally see my Arbok and Dustox again!" Jessie squealed with sparkles in her eyes.
"Yeah. Since the wild Ekans and Koffing have evolved some time ago, they are strong enough to live without Arbok and Weezing. This is a dream come true!" James cried out as Pikachutwo nuzzled James' cheeks.
"It's like a nice family reunion." Meowth said while tearing up in happiness.
"Wait a minute! I just realized that we haven't signed up for the tournament and it's already too late to do so!" Jessie gasped.
"Don't worry. I already signed you three up before the tournament even started. So you three are in the tournament as well and so am I." Kit Cosmos said.
The three trio bowed down to Kit Cosmos, thankful that they are now in the tournament.
"Oh thank you thank you! It's so great to be included in a tournament, Kit Cosmos!" James squealed.
"No need to thank me. It's what I do. Now let's go find Kirby and the others." Kit Cosmos said as the four trio headed off to the building.
Back with the Heroes who were at the hallways getting ready for the tournament.
"This is going to be awesome! I'm gonna battle trainers." Tuff cheered.
"You can do it, Tuff." Fololo said.
"We know you can." Falala said.
Just then they saw May Maple standing in front of them as Max's expression immediately turned into a scowl.
"What do you want, May!? We're trying to get ready for Tuff's battle!" Max yelled, already annoyed.
May looked pretty tearful and felt pretty guilty for what she had done to her brother and friends. She slowly walked up to them and spoke: "Max, Ash and everyone, I…..I j-just want to l-l-let you a-all know that I'm t-terribly s-sorry f-f-for all of the terrible things that I said and done to you all…"
Ash and everyone else didn't know what to say at first as they weren't expecting May to suddenly come and apologize to them.
"Wait a minute… What made you suddenly want to apologize to us, May?" Sawyer suspiciously asked as he didn't trust May.
"Yeah. Last time we saw you, you were trying to force Max to come with you." Bonnie said.
"And that's not all, but Ash told us what you did along with those jerks!" Ritchie yelled.
"Yeah. So why should we believe anything you say?" Pikachu growled as sparks came from his cheeks.
Max, however didn't say anything. No one could tell what Max was thinking based on his expression. But seeing May brought back the memories about how Norman and Caroline disowned Max and destroyed his stuff as Max clenched his fists as he finally spoke.
"May, do you really think that a simple 'I'm sorry' is going to make me forgive you that easily? Do you really think that I'm ever going to forget what you and those other guys did to me and Ash and my friends about how much you all ruined our lives!? It's all because of you that my parents or former parents disowned me and destroyed all of my things as soon as you and the others lied to them about Ash using drugs and me agreeing with it! Not only that, but it took a long time for me to get over what you all did as soon as our lives are back! But as soon as I saw you and the traitors, that bad memory came back to me all at once! I don't know what made you want to apologize, especially since you had the whole year to do so, May!" Max speeches with tears in his eyes, shocking everyone to the core.
May was shocked the most as she was devastated about how badly she had hurt Max and Ash.
"L-look M-Max, I-I k-know w-what I d-did was w-wrong and s-stupid, but from the bottom o-o-of m-m-my h-h-heart I-I'm severely s-s-sorry f-f-for w-w-what I-I d-d-did to you guys." May spoke through her tears at the end of her sentence.
Kirby and his friends were stunned by how sad and guilty May felt about what she had done to them, but they were still a little suspicious about her intentions.
Ash slowly walked over to May and spoke: "What made you feel bad about what you and the traitors had done to us, May?"
May looked up at Ash and decided to explain everything.
"Before Brock was defeated by Kirby and arrested, we met a scientist named Doctor Moro who used a serum called a giga demon serum which turns pokemon and humans into giga monsters with such power and aggressive behaviors against their will. I-I just couldn't bring myself to turn my own Pokemon into those horrible creatures and that made me realize what I've become when I betrayed you and Max and from the bottom of my heart, I'm really sorry for what I've done to you guys. I don't expect you guys to forgive me and all, but I'm really sorry!" May explained everything she knew to the gang.
"What!? Doctor Moro is back!?" Tiff gasped as she couldn't believe her ears.
"Huh? Who's Doctor Moro?" Tory asked.
"Doctor Moro is a mad scientist who tricked my sister into helping him with monster and dinosaur DNA to create an endless army of dino monsters and help King Dedede and Escargoon defeat Kirby. But luckily, Kirby managed to destroy all of Doctor Moro's monsters." Tuff explained.
"Yikes! That sounds scary and dangerous!" Emma shrieked at the thought of dinosaur monsters.
"That's how Brock was able to turn his own Pokemon into monsters! The traitors are working for Doctor Moro!" Clemont gasped.
"Great! That doesn't sound good." Knuckle Joe said.
"May, thanks for letting us know everything you know, but it's gonna take a lot more than that for us to forgive you for what you and the traitors did to us." Ash stated.
"Yeah. When one of you took my Pokemon away from me and threatened me. But thank goodness I was able to find all of my Pokemon. But Misty somehow found me and beated me up and threatened me again. At least Ash was able to send Misty to jail. But because of all of that, I don't know if I can forgive you, May. I'm sorry." Dawn stated and shook her head.
Max slowly walked over to his older sister.
"If you want me to forgive you, May. Then I'm afraid you're gonna have to be Bonnie and my servant for a year." Max said as he grinned.
May was shocked at that statement.
"What!?" May didn't believe that. "No way!"
"It's either that or Max and I will never forgive you." Bonnie smirked.
"And the same goes for me, May." Ash added with a smirk on his face.
May hesitated for a second, but gave in.
"Fine. I will." May sighed.
"Good. We should look for a maid outfit for you." Max teased.
"NO WAY! I'M NOT WEARING A MAID OUTFIT!" May shouted in embarrassment.
Everyone chuckled at this.
"Boy, this sure brings back good memories." Ash thought while giggling.
"You better start working after the tournament, missy." Max smirked as May gulped at this.
"Alright, folks it's time for the next battle between Tuff and Mindy to begin." Charles Goodshow announced.
Tuff and Mindy walked over to the battlefield waving at the crowd and ready to battle.
"You can do it, Tuff!" Tiff cheered from the crowd.
"Don't lose this battle! Win it!" Emma also cheered Tuff on.
"This is going to be interesting." Rafe said as he watched the battle.
"Poyo poyo poyo!" Kirby cheered as he hoped that Tuff would win.
"It's nice to meet you. I'm Tuff from Dreamland." Tuff greeted Mindy.
"Aww. You're such a cutie. I'm Mindy, it's very nice to meet you, Tuff." Mindy introduced herself while giggling.
Tuff blushed when Mindy called him a 'cutie'.
"Wow. Mindy thinks I'm cute." Tuff thought while blushing.
Emma looked at Mindy with jealousy in her eyes.
"This will be a three on three battle between Tuff and Mindy. Alright, trainers begin!" Charles Goodshow said.
"Alright, Weepinbell, let's do this!" Tuff smirked as he sent out his Weepinbell.
"Weepinbell. This is going to be fun." Weepinbell said as she was ready to battle.
"Alright, Azumarill, time to shine!" Mindy said as she sent out her Azumarill.
"Azumarill." Azumarill said as she was happy to battle.
"Look at that. Tuff's using a Weepinbell against an Azumarill which means that he has the advantage!" Sawyer said with excitement.
"Let's see how this goes." Clemont said.
"Weepinbell use Energy Ball!" Tuff ordered.
Weepinbell produced a green orb and launched it at Azumarill.
"Azumarill, knock it back with Iron Tail!" Mindy ordered as Azumarill's tail turned metallic and smacked the Energy Ball back at Weepinbell.
Weepinbell was caught by surprise as she was knocked backwards by her own attack.
"What!? No way!" Tuff didn't believe that.
"Wow. Incredible! Mindy had her Azumarill knock Weepinbell's Energy Ball back at it like a tennis ball!" Serena gasped.
"Looks like Mindy has trained that Azumarill to battle against grass pokemon." Ritchie said.
"Now Azumarill use Ice Beam, proto!" Mindy said as she twirled around.
"Azumarilllllll!" Azumarill said as she took a deep breath and blew out a beam of ice at Weepinbell.
"Quick, Weepinbell, get out of the way and use Razor Leaf!" Tuff said as Weepinbell quickly got up and got out of the way of the Ice Beam and sent out waves of sharp leaves at Azumarill.
"Azumarilll! Yowch!" Azumarill cried out in pain from the super effective move, knocking her backwards.
"Azumarill, are you alright!?" Mindy asked in concern for Azumarill.
"Azu." Azumarill nodded as she got up from the ground.
"Good, now use Icy Wind and follow up with Iron Tail!" Mindy said.
Azumarill smirked as she blew an icy gust at Weepinbell, causing her to shiver from the freezing air as Azumarill ran up to her and swatted her with her tail, sending her flying to the wall.
"Oh no, Weepinbell!" Tuff yelled as Weepinbell grunted in pain as she slowly got up from the ground, indicating that she was still able to battle.
"Don't worry, Tuff. I can still battle." Weepinbell said.
"Oh man, Weepinbell just got by a few hits one right after another! This is looking bad for Tuff!" May cried.
"That Azumarill is pretty tough! Tuff has to act fast or else Weepinbell's had it!" Max said.
"Mindy has trained Azumarill to handle grass pokemon very well. There's gotta be a way to get past Azumarill's accuracy. Wait a minute… That's it!" Tuff thought. "Weepinbell, I want you to use your sweet scent."
Weepinbell sent out a sweet aroma at Azumarill as Mindy also ended catching the scent.
"Awwwww… So relaxing." Mindy moaned as she enjoyed the sweet smell along with her Azumarill.
"Now, use Giga Drain!" Tuff ordered as Weepinbell sent out her roots on Azumarill and proceeded to drain her energy.
"Azumarill, no!" Mindy cried out.
"Incredible! Tuff had his Weepinbell use Sweet Scent on Azumarill to lower it's evasion, making it easy for Weepinbell to land a super effective move on it." Knuckle Joe said.
"Plus, based on the damage Weepinbell took earlier, it was a good idea for Tuff to tell Weepinbell to use Giga Drain to restore its health." Sirica said.
Azumarill was panting from exhaustion from having her energy drained away from her as she struggled to stand up.
"Looks like Azumarill is feeling very sluggish from that giga drain. Could this be it for Azumarill!?" Charles Goodshow asked.
"Of course it is. Now finish it off with Energy Ball!" Tuff said.
Weepinbell smirked as she launched a green orb at Azumarill, who screamed in terror as she was struck by the ball.
"Azumarill, nooo!" Mindy shrieked as the smoke cleared out and showed Azumarill lying on the ground with swirly eyes, meaning that she was unable to battle.
"Azumarill is unable to battle, Weepinbell wins!" Charles Goodshow announced.
"Alright, way to go, Weepinbell!" Tuff cheered as he hugged his Weepinbell.
"Aww. It was nothing, Tuff." Weepinbell said as she hugged Tuff back.
"Good job, Tuff. That's one Pokemon down, two to go!" Fololo cheered.
"That Azumarill put up a good fight. Who knows what Pokemon Mindy will use next." Falala said.
Meanwhile the traitors were watching the scene with unhappy looks.
"Pah. This battle is nothing but a bore. Those two are without a doubt pathetic." Paul scoffed, not impressed about the battle in the slightest.
"Tell me about it. Their Pokemon aren't even strong enough to last in this tournament." Trip said as he shook his head.
"Wait a minute… I wonder what May's doing with those losers?" Drew asked, noticing May was sitting with Ash and his friends.
"That's what we're going to find out as soon as the battle is finished." Iris said.
"Thank you, Azumarill. You did great." Mindy thanked her Azumarill and returned it to its PokeBall.
"Hey, your Azumarill is not bad, Mindy. It put up a good fight." Tuff said.
"Thank you, Tuff. I've got to say, using sweet scent and giga drain at the same time took me by surprise. But I'm gonna get you this time. Go Cinccino!" Mindy said as she sent out her Cinccino.
"Cinccino." The scarf wearing chinchilla said.
"Wow! It's so beautiful!" Serena said.
"What a cutie!" Bonnie squealed happily.
"That's one cute Pokemon." Audrey said.
"You said it." Kathryn added.
"Weepinbell, use Solarbeam!" Tuff called out as Weepinbell charged up a power of solar and was able to fire it at Cinccino due to the sun being in the sky.
"Use protect!" Mindy said as Cinccino formed a protective barrier around itself, blocking out the attack.
"That's not good!" Tuff gulped, not seeing that coming.
"Now use Hyper Voice!" Mindy called out.
"Cin…...CCINOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Cinccino screeched out a very loud voice.
Weepinbell cringed in pain as she closed her ears to block out the painful noise.
"Arrrrrgh! Turn down the volume! I can't take it anymore!" Tuff groaned as he also closed his ears.
"Now Iron Tail!" Mindy said.
"With pleasure!" Cinccino smirked as she ran up to Weepinbell and whacked her with her tail, sending Weepinbell flying to the wall, knocking her out.
"Weepinbell nooo!" Tuff called out.
"Weepinbell is unable to battle, Cinccino wins!" Charles Goodshow announced as the crowd cheered.
"Nice going, Cinccino!" Mindy cheered as she hugged her Cinccino.
"Aww. Thanks master." Cinccino said as she hugged her trainer back.
"You did well, Weepinbell. Take a nice long rest." Tuff smiled as he returned his Weepinbell. "Go Sableye."
Sableye came out of his Pokeball and was eager to battle.
"Looks like Tuff's next Pokemon is a Sableye! Let's see how well it can put up against such a beautiful, but yet powerful Cinccino." Charles Goodshow said.
"Nice Sableye, you've got there Tuff." Mindy said, feeling impressed.
"Thanks, Mindy. I must say, your Cinccino is very tough. It was smart of you to have Cinccino use Hyper Voice and following it up with Iron Tail to knock out Weepinbell. But let's see how well it could handle this… Sableye, use Power Gem!" Tuff ordered as Sableye launched glowing gems at Cinccino.
"Quick, Cinccino, dodge and use Thunderbolt!" Mindy ordered.
"Ccino!" Cinccino said as she avoided the glowing gems and fired a wave of electricity at Sableye, zapping him.
"Sableye, are you alright?" Tuff asked in concern.
"Sable, sableye!" Sableye nodded as he shook off the pain.
"Good now use Faint Attack!" Tuff said.
Sableye smirked as he ran over to Cinccino.
"Use protect, Cinccino!" Mindy ordered as Cinccino form a protective barrier in front of her.
But unexpectedly, Sableye jumped over Cinccino and swatted her from behind, knocking her forwards towards the ground.
"Awesome! Sableye knew that Cinccino would use protect so he jumped over her and hit her from behind." Meta Knight said.
Tuff is doing a good job out there. That was a smart choice since, protect can only protect the front instead of the back." Psyduck remarked.
"Totally! Tuff might have this battle in the bag." Piplup said as he sat down next to Pikachu and Axew.
"I didn't expect you to attack us from behind Tuff. But let's see how you'll handle this one. Cinccino use Attract!" Mindy said while winking.
"Ccino!" Cinccino said as she twirled around and winked at Sableye as hearts started floating towards him.
"Shadow Claw, quick!" Tuff said.
"Right!" Sableye said as his claws turned shadowy purple and slashed the pink hearts to shreds.
Mindy and Cinccino were surprised at this turn of events that Sableye managed to destroy the hearts.
"Impossible!" Mindy panicked.
"Now use Night Slash and follow up with Fury Swipes!" Tuff ordered.
My pleasure! Hehehehe!" Sableye snickered as he ran at Cinccino and slashed her with his sharp claws on her chest and began repeatingly slashing Cinccino on her face five times with fury swipes, knocking her to the ground, but the scarf wearing chinchilla wasn't down just yet.
"Oh no, Cinccino! Can you still get up!?" Mindy asked, hoping that Cinccino wasn't knocked out.
Yes. I'm not down for the count, just yet." Cinccino grunted in pain as she slowly got up from the ground, but had a few scratch marks on her body.
"Incredible! Cinccino still able to battle even after getting slash by Sableye's Night Slash and Fury Swipes, but Cinccino doesn't look good." Charles Goodshow said.
"No way! Even after receiving all those hits! Cinccino is still able to battle!" Dawn gasped as she didn't expect Mindy's Cinccino to be strong.
"I have to say, Mindy's Cinccino's battling style has a very spicy flavor. But Sableye's battling style is sweet." Cilan remarked.
"Sableye and Cinccino are really duking it out." Pansage said as he munched on an apple.
"Cinccino, use Shadow Ball!" Mindy said as Cinccino formed a shadowy orb and launched it at Sableye.
"Counter it with your Shadow Ball, Sableye." Tuff ordered as Sableye formed a shadowy orb as well and launched it at Cinccino's Shadow Ball, cancelling each other out and creating dark sparkles.
"Wow! This battle is looking intense and beautiful as neither Pokemon are showing fatigue!" Charles Goodshow said.
"Well, I think it's about time we take down Sableye! Cinccino use Iron Tail!" Mindy ordered.
"With pleasure! Take this, Sableye!" Cinccino yelled as she ran at Sableye and swatted her metallic tail at him.
"Big mistake! Now, Confuse Ray!" Tuff smirked as Sableye sent a purple ray at Cinccino, causing her eyes to turn purple.
Cinccino began dancing around, uncontrollably with stars in her eyes.
"Cinccino, what's wrong!?" Mindy asked.
"Uh-oh! Looks like Sableye's Confuse Ray has sent Cinccino into a frenzy! This doesn't look good for Mindy!" Charles Goodshow said.
"Awesome! Tuff has a chance of winning this battle! He must've planned that just in case, Mindy decided to have her Cinccino charge at his Sableye." Tiff smiled as she was happy that Tuff was winning.
"Poyo poyo!" Kirby excitedly said as he watched the battle.
"Poyo Poyo, Tuff!" Yellow Kirby said as he cheered Tuff on.
King Dedede wasn't pleased with this outcome.
"Grrr! All those trainers are a bust! Can't they just knock out any of Kirby's friends!?" King Dedede complained.
"Woah! Calm down, your highness. I'm pretty sure that Mindy girl would turn this battle around and defeat Tuff." Escargoon said, trying to get King Dedede to calm down.
"Cinccino, please, you've got to snap out of it!" Mindy pleaded, but to no avail.
"Game over for Cinccino! Now, use Night Slash!" Tuff said.
"Say night-night!" Sableye grinned as he rushed towards the confused Cinccino and slashed her across the face, directly, sending her flying into the wall knocking her out.
"Cinccino is unable to battle! Sableye wins! Which means that Mindy is down to her last Pokemon." Charles Goodshow announced. The crowd roared with excitement.
"Awesome! You did it, Sableye!" Tuff danced with joy along with his Sableye.
"Phew. That was tough." Sableye sighed in relief as he was feeling exhausted.
Mindy picked her Cinccino who slowly opened her eyes.
"You did well, Cinccino, now take a nice long rest." Mindy thanked her Cinccino and returned her to her PokeBall.
"Looks like Mindy is down to her last Pokemon." Audrey said.
"I wonder what Pokemon will she send out next?" Kathryn wondered as the battle was making her more excited.
"Whatever it is, Tuff could take it down." Emma said, confidently.
"And once that happens, Tuff is the winner." Bonnie said.
"Don't be so hasty, Emma. Look Sableye is looking pretty exhausted from its battle against Cinccino." Ritchie pointed out.
Ritchie was right; Sableye was panting pretty hard from exhaustion.
"Uh-oh. Looks like Tuff has gonna have to be very careful." Tiff said.
"Alright, time to bring out the heavy artillery! Hippowdon, time to shine!" Mindy happily said as she twirled around and sent out her Hippowdon which had a black and gray color, indicating that it was female.
"Hippooooowwwww!" Hippowdon roared as she breathe sand from her nose.
"Uh-oh! It's a Hippowdon! And it seems pretty powerful!" Serena gasped.
"The real match is just starting!" Ribbon said.
Just then a sandstorm started blowing everywhere in the stadium.
"Whoa! What's going on!? Where did this sandstorm come from!?" Tuff wondered as he covered his face from the raging sand.
"This sand is already getting in my eyes!" Sableye cried out as he rubbed his eyes.
"That's Hippowdon's special ability; Sand Stream. It causes a sandstorm to blow as soon as Hippowdon appears." Mindy explained as she smirked and winked at Tuff who blushed.
"Ohhhhh. I think Mindy likes me." Tuff blushed as he felt a little dazed.
"Now, Hippowdon, use Sand Tomb!" Mindy smirked.
"Alright, here goes!" Hippowdon said as she created a quicksand that quickly began heading right for Sableye.
"Sableye, get away from there quick!" Tuff warned.
Sableye quickly avoided the quicksand in time and stuck its tongue at Hippowdon, tauntingly, which ticked off the hippo Pokemon.
"Give Hippowdon a taste of your Night Shade!" Tuff grinned.
Sableye smirked as he sent out a dark ray at Hippowdon, which hurted her and knocked her back a bit.
"Now use Shadow Claw!" Tuff ordered as Sableye ran at Hippowdon with his sharp claws.
"I was hoping you would do that, Tuff." Mindy smirked.
"Huh?" Tuff asked in a confused way.
"Now, use Crunch on Sableye's arm!" Mindy smiled.
Hippowdon opened her mouth wide and bit into Sableye's arm, which made the darkness Pokemon scream in excruciating pain from the bite.
"OUCH! Looks like Hippowdon has got Sableye by the arm in its powerful jaws! Talk about a lot of pain!" Charles Goodshow said.
"Oh no, Sableye!" Ash Ketchum gasped.
"Pika Pika! Oh man, that can't be good!" Pikachu shrieked at the sight of Sableye getting bitten on the arm by Hippowdon.
"Ouch! Now that's gotta hurt!" Max also shrieked.
"Getting bitten on the arm by a creature that size is pretty painful!" Clemont said.
"I'm afraid, Sableye is out of commission." Sawyer said.
"Game over for Sableye, Tuff. Now use Stone Edge!" Mindy said.
Hippowdon tossed Sableye in the air and sent out multiple sharp stones that began to home in on the darkness Pokemon, pelting him painfully and sending him to the wall, knocking him out.
"Sableye is unable to battle! Hippowdon wins, which means that Tuff is down to his last Pokemon." Charles Goodshow announced.
The crowd roared in excitement as they were ready to see who will win the battle.
"Heh heh heh heh! Looks like the puny pipsqueak is down to his last Pokemon. If he loses that one, he loses the battle and I will be laughing at him until the end!" King Dedede chuckled.
"It will be such an embarrassing defeat, once Tuff loses to a girl in front of all of us!" Escargoon also laughed.
The traitors were also laughing as well.
"Hooray! Hopefully, that no-eye brat will be eliminated from this tournament!" Iris snickered as she hoped that Tuff would lose to Mindy.
"I hope so too. Once Tuff loses, that's one of Ash's friends eliminated from the tournament." Drew snickered.
"Uh-oh. Tuff is now down to his last Pokemon." Fololo frowned.
"Come on, Tuff. Don't lose this battle!" Falala said.
"You can do it, Tuff. I believe in you." Tiff said in encouragement.
"Tuff, you're down to your last Pokemon. If I win, you're gonna have to take me out on a date." Mindy spoke in a flirty way and winked at Tuff.
Tuff dropped his jaw along with his friends as they could not believe she actually just said that.
Emma dropped her jaw the most, since she has a secret crush on Tuff.
Tuff blushed very madly as he thought that he could faint any second.
"Whoa… Mindy really really loves...me? Oh…..I-I d-don't know w-w-what to s-s-s-say right now…" Tuff thought while he was too stunned.
"Wow. I'm completely speechless right now." Boland spoke in an awkward way.
"I was not expecting this." Lee said as he shook his head.
"I think my heart just stopped." Tory said.
"Poyo." Kirby said.
Tuff shook his head and spoke; "If that's so then, you're gonna have to beat my last Pokemon. Go, Wartortle, it's now or never!"
"It's showtime!" Wartortle said as he started hand standing before standing on his feet.
"Good choice! Using a Water type Pokemon against a Ground type like Hippowdon! Tuff might have a chance of winning this battle!" Dawn cheered.
"Don't be too carried away, Dawn. That Hippowdon is still pretty powerful so Tuff is gonna have to be careful." Boland said.
"Wartortle use Bubblebeam!" Tuff ordered as Wartortle shot out a beam of bubbles at Hippowdon.
"Hippowdon, intercept it with Stone Edge!"
Mindy yelled.
"Hiiiiiippoooooowww!" Hippowdon roared as she launched out sharp rocks at the bubblebeam, canceling it out.
"Amazing! Hippowdon used Stone Edge to counter, Wartortle's Bubblebeam! And to think that Wartortle had the upper hand!" Charles Goodshow said.
"Now, use Sand Attack!" Mindy said.
Hippowdon blew out sand at Wartortle's face, causing it to get in his eyes, blinding him.
"Aaaah! Wartortle!" Tuff yelled out as Wartortle struggled to clean his eyes from the sand.
And to make matters worse; the raging sandstorm kept on hurting Wartortle and making it hard for him to see.
"Now, use Double Edge!" Mindy said.
Hippowdon charged forward towards Wartortle.
"Wartortle, look out!" Tuff warned.
But it was too late as Wartortle was rammed backwards on his shell from the impact of Hippowdon's Double Edge.
"Now, use Stone Edge again!" Mindy smirked as she was winning this battle.
Hippowdon summoned sharp rocks and sent them after Wartortle.
"Quick, Wartortle, counter it with Water Gun!" Tuff pleaded.
But it was no use, since Wartortle couldn't see, due to having so much sand in his eyes as he was pelted by the pointy rocks, directly.
"Looks like Hippowdon has the upper hand against Wartortle. Could this be the end of Wartortle?" Charles Goodshow questioned.
"Oh no! Tuff has his back against the wall now! That Hippowdon is just too strong for Wartortle!" Serena said.
"And with that sandstorm blowing around, it's hard for Wartortle to see and avoid the attacks. Hippowdon has the advantage with the sandstorm!" Ash exclaimed.
"Tuff has to do something fast or else he's gonna lose this match!" Pikachu growled.
Tuff grunted his teeth in anger as he watched his Wartortle taking a beating from Hippowdon.
"There has to be a way for Wartortle to attack. But how? That sandstorm is blowing around and is making it harder for us to focus. If only there was rain on our side. Wait a minute...that's it!" Tuff thought. "Wartortle, I need you to use Rain Dance and get rid of this Sandstorm!" Tuff ordered.
Wartortle nodded as he shot up water into the air, causing a big dark cloud to appear and started dropping rain everywhere.
"Looks like there is a downpour in the stadium and the sandstorm is no more." Charles Goodshow said.
"What!? How could this be!?" Mindy didn't see that coming.
"Sorry to rain on your parade, Mindy. But I'm here to win! Now use Water Pulse!" Tuff smiled.
"With pleasure! Snack on this, you overgrown hippo!" Wartortle smirked as he tossed an orb of water at Hippowdon, knocking her backwards due to being a super effective hit.
"Awesome! Tuff has the upper hand again! Wartortle's water type attacks are a lot more powerful due to the rain dance!" Max squealed happily.
"Tuff might have a chance of winning!" May said.
"Poyo!" Kirby cheered happily.
"Poyo poyo!" Blue Kirby also cheered.
"Now, Bubblebeam!" Tuff ordered as Wartortle began firing bubbles at Hippowdon.
Hippowdon grunted in pain as she was being pelted by the super effective hit and was being pushed back.
"Quick, Hippowdon use dig!" Mindy quickly ordered.
Hippowdon stood her ground and burrowed into the ground.
"Wartortle, try to feel Hippowdon's movement. It could pop up from anywhere." Tuff said.
"Wartortle." Wartortle nodded as he began looking around for Hippowdon.
Just then Hippowdon popped from below Wartortle, sending him flying into the air.
"Gotcha! Now use Hyper Beam!" Mindy said.
"My pleasure! Game over for you, Wartortle." Hippowdon smirked as she fired an orange beam at Wartortle, causing him to scream in pain as he fell to the ground.
"Wartortle, noooooo!" Tuff shouted in terror.
"Looks like Wart-"
"Wait a minute…. Something's happening!" Mindy cut Charles Goodshow off.
Wartortle started glowing white as he slowly got up.
"I-I can't believe it! Wartortle is evolving!" Tuff gasped.
Everyone else watched as the evolution stopped as a big turtle Pokemon stood where Wartortle stood. Wartortle had evolved into Blastoise.
"What an incredible turn of events! Wartortle has just evolved into Blastoise! Who could've predicted that!?" Charles Goodshow yelled in astonishment.
"Awesome! Wartortle is now Blastoise! It looks a lot more powerful now!" Tory yelled in excitement.
"Things are looking good for Tuff now!" Sword Knight said.
"I always knew that would happen sooner or later. Wartortle was determined to win so he evolved into Blastoise." Meta Knight said.
The traitors were enraged at this.
"Grrrrrrr! You have got to be kidding me! That turtle evolved!" Prof Oak raged.
"I don't believe this! Now that kid will move to the next match!" Trip roared angrily.
"That little brat is probably using drugs to evolve his Pokemon to win, just like my worthless son!" Delia growled as usual.
"Oh shut the hell up, Delia! You know very well I'm not your son anymore after what you did! And besides, Tuff isn't using any drugs! You're just mad that you lost Misty and Brock!" Ash spat.
"Yeah! And this is coming from the woman who negotiated with a mad scientist named Doctor Moro who turns Pokemon and humans into giga monsters with a liquid called giga demon serum!" Fololo revealed.
This made the traitors, King Dedede and Escargoon gasp in shock.
"Wha...h-how did you know that?" Escargoon cringed in fear.
"You'll soon find out after this battle." Lucario said as he smirked at Escargoon.
"Uh-oh. This is bad." Mindy whimpered, having a bad feeling about this situation.
"Yes! Hooray! Congratulations, Wartortle, you're now Blastoise!" Tuff cheered as he twirled around in joy.
"Well, your Wartortle may be a Blastoise, Tuff. But we're not losing just yet." Mindy said, forgetting that Hippowdon needs to recharge after using Hyper Beam.
"You forgot one thing. Hippowdon cannot move since it used Hyper Beam, so game over! Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!" Tuff smirked.
Will be done, Tuff." Blastoise grinned as he got out his cannons and fired high pressure water at the helpless hippo Pokemon who roared in terror as she was washed all the way to the wall, all soaking wet and had swirly eyes.
"Hippowdon is unable to battle, Blastoise wins which means that the victory goes to Tuff from Cappy Town!" Charles Goodshow announced.
The entire crowd cheered in excitement after that battle.
"Hooray! Tuff has won! I knew he could do it!" Tiff cheered as she and Ribbon danced with joy.
"Poyo, Tuff! Poyo!" Green Kirby cheered as he clapped for Tuff.
"Tuff is moving to the second round! Woohoo!" Max cheered.
"Tuff, did it! That sure was a tough battle!" May also cheered.
"I knew Tuff would win this battle. His Pokemon has true potential." Meta Knight said.
"Tuff sure is a brave trainer." Emma said with hearts in her eyes.
Mindy walked over to her Hippowdon who slowly opened her eyes.
"Thank you for everything, Hippowdon. You were great. Take a nice long rest." Mindy spoke slowly as she returned her Hippowdon.
Mindy looked at Tuff who was dancing in joy along with his Blastoise for their victory.
"We did it! Good job, Blastoise!" Tuff cheered as he high-fived his Blastoise.
"That's what I'm talking about, baby!" Blastoise squealed.
Mindy walked over to Tuff.
"Thank you for our tough battle, Tuff. You were awesome." Mindy congregated.
"You too, Mindy. You and your Pokemon were tough." Tuff said as they shook hands.
"I'll still be here cheering you and your friends on during the battle." Mindy said as she gave Tuff a hug.
Tuff blushed madly at the hug the girl was giving him as he returned the hug.
Emma was looking a little jealous at this, but decided not to start anything.
Max and Bonnie saw this and smirked at Emma while she wasn't looking.
"That battle was just pathetic. The only reason why that Wartortle evolved was because that kid just got lucky." Paul scoffed.
"I need to find out why May is with those losers." Drew declared.
"I'm glad Tuff won that match." Ash Ketchum said.
"That battle almost took my breath out." Serena said.
