Chapter 6
A new morning in school, Ash is staring at the window as the class is already over, after the teacher leaves, Chloe walks towards Ash and says, "Hey, Ash?"
Ash turns to Chloe and asks, "I'm sorry, Chloe. Did you say something?"
"I hope you weren't thinking about Serena..." Chloe whispers.
Ash quickly shuts her mouth and says, "Hey, don't talk about that here!"
"Whatever. We should head to our next class." Chloe says as she grabs Ash's arm and leaves. Then Ash starts to remember what happened 2 days ago.
(Flashback)
"It's been a while since we started going out, right?" Ash says to Serena, and suddenly, he pins her to the wall, which causes her to blush.
"Ash? What are you doing?" Serena manages to utter.
"It's about time...I want to have it. And I think it is time for us to make one..." Ash says with a devilish smirk, causing Serena to have different thoughts.
"Ash! No...we are just students! We're not that mature enough to do such things..." Serena starts to panic and yells.
"What are you talking about? I mean it is time for us to make our lunch boxes." Ash says, "You made one for me and I'll make one for you."
Serena turns away a little, "If that's what you want...I don't mind..."
"Thank goodness, but why do you think doing such a thing is mature?" Ash asks, and Serena has steam popping out from her face.
"Nothing!" Serena yells as Ash decides not to ask further.
(Flashback Ends)
Now Ash is sitting in the classroom along with the students from the West, as both students are glaring at each other. Ash looks at Serena, as she seems to be in some sort of worry.
"What are you doing staring at Serena! You monster?" Ash notices the voice coming from Clemont, who is angry at Ash.
"I am not staring at her, instead, you are ruining my chances of learning something from teacher." Ash says.
"Quit lying! You are not going to harm her in any way!" Clemont yells back.
Professor Rowan is the one that is in class as he yells, "We're in the middle of the class! Clemont! You're in detention now!"
Ash gives him a smug look, while Clemont is not happy at the results.
After class is over, Ash is still a model student even though people from the West hate him, he ignores them as what matters is getting good grades.
"Just how is Ash capable of ignoring those nasty comments?" Dawn asks, "If it is me, I would have tried to slap them..."
"He stayed at Unova, Kalos, Alola, and even Galar for a long time, he is already used to it." Chloe sighs.
After a while, it is lunchtime. Ash is standing in front of the classroom as Serena walks to him. "Why do you want to meet here?"
"People will be heading to the cafeteria, so there is nobody here instead of the two of us. I haven't shown you my power as Arceus' Chosen One, have I?"
Serena is confused as Ash takes out a full red Pokeball, says, "This is a Cherish Ball, you can't get it normally, but if a Legendary Pokemon trusts you, then it will give you one. Giratina, I choose you!"
As the Ghost Dragon Pokemon appear, Ash grabs Serena's arm as they all walk into the window like it is nothing. Serena asks, "Ash? Where have you taken me?"
"This is the Reverse World, a parrel world where Giratina stays, the gravity here is the opposite from the real world, which is why it is given the name." Ash says.
"Looks like you two are going to eat here, huh?" Ash and Serena turn around to see Lillie leaning at the tree. Serena asks, "Ash? Why is Lillie here? And how did she come here?"
"What do you think? I made a deal with Ash." Lillie smirks, "He lets me stay at the Reverse World if I want to."
Ash says, "That's because you want to avoid that overprotective brother of yours. I know."
"But what do we have here? Are those lunchboxes that you have there? So you two are going to do that, huh?"
Serena blushes and asks, "What are you talking about?"
Ash says, "This girl seems to know more than it seems..."
Lillie shrugs and says, "Whatever, I should let you two stay alone, I'll go back to the real world." Lillie says as Giratina opens the portal to let her leave.
"Weird..." Ash and Serena say in unison.
Back in the real world, Lillie is walking in the hallway, until she is blocked by two boys Damian and Harley, both of them are from the East. Lillie says, "Out of my way, you scums."
"Well if it isn't the princess, too bad your brother isn't here to protect you." Damian smirks.
"How about we have some fun, nobody is going to save you." Harley says as they are approaching Lillie, who seems to be terrified.
Just then, Lillie was about to brace himself from what is going to happen, but nothing happened, as Damian and Harley both fall asleep with pained faces.
"Even though it is a person from the East, I disgust people to harm someone in a nasty way." Lillie looks up and sees a man with a Darkrai by his side. She gasps as the person is no other than the Number 1 of the East: Tobias.
"Thank you..." Lillie mutters.
"Don't misunderstand, I'm not doing this for your sake." Tobias says. "Lillie Aether, the sister of Gladion Aether. But yet, you prefer studying more than battling...I give you a suggestion, find a Pokemon that will protect you, or else there might not be someone that can protect you."
Then Tobias leaves, much to Lillie's shock. At the same time, Mallow and Gladion arrive, and Mallow asks, "Lillie! Are you hurt?"
Gladion says, "That is the Number 1 of the East, right? I am not going to show mercy if he dares to hurt my sister..."
"Wait, Gladion...he isn't the one that hurts me...instead, he is the one that saves me." Lillie says.
"Saves you? Why would he do that? He is our enemy! Not to mention how many people from the West suffered from his Darkrai's Dark Void attack..." Mallow says.
"But...he doesn't seem like the person who would do something like that on purpose..." Lillie sighs.
Gladion sighs and says, "Lillie, I know that being the children of the Aether Foundation, we aren't supposed to hate the East. But still, we are not our parents, we can't let those East think that we are weak...especially since Calem lost to that Ash Ketchum..."
"Looks like your brother take Calem's loss really hard..." Mallow whispers.
"He is the only person that he acknowledged..." Lillie sighs as a flashback occurs.
(Flashback)
"Lycanroc, finish them with Counter!" Gladion yells as his Midnight form Lycanroc strikes the Dusk Form Lycanroc hard.
"It's not over! Lycanroc! Fight Counter with Counter!" Calem yells, and it surprises Gladion as Lycanroc does a spin and then crashes Midnight form Lycanroc into the wall.
"Lycanroc is unable to battle! As such, the winner is Calem Xavier from Vaniville Town!" Kukui declares, and Calem is happy for his Lycanroc.
Gladion stares at his own Lycanroc and says, "I lost..."
(Flashback ends)
"And after a while, Calem is heading back to Vaniville Town, but just as he goes back, that Ash Ketchum just comes and declares that he beat Calem and takes the title as the Alolan Champion." Gladion says with anger. "Just without warning, and yet I couldn't beat him for Calem's sake..."
Lillie sighs, as she knows that the reason being so sudden is that Ash and Calem are the same people, but she shouldn't tell others about it.
"Now back to business, have you eaten lunch, Lillie?" Mallow asks, and Lillie shakes her head. "I was trying to hide from my brother...but it seems like he still found me..."
"Then how about we have lunch together?" Mallow says as she drags both Gladion and Lillie away, much to the two siblings' annoyance.
"Those Macaroons you made...they really are the best Serena." Ash says as he is stuffing the macaroons in his mouth.
"You think so?" Serena says with a small smile, and then she says, "Ash, I have something to tell you..."
"What is it?" Ash asks.
"It seems like you and Clemont have been in fights for so long...why do you hate him?" Serena asks.
Ash sighs and says, "To be honest, I have no grudges against him, other than the fact that his robot kicked me out of the gym just because I didn't have any badges from Kalos back then."
"I know, but Clemont fixed it in the end, and I assume you beat him for the badge, right?"
"That's true. But that was just a mistake, other than that, I have no grudges for Clemont, it is just that he has been hating me ever since I beat him in the battle, and he seems a little overprotective towards you, don't you think?"
"But I don't have any feelings for Clemont, he is just like a brother to me..." Serena says.
"I know, but he doesn't know. And you can't tell him that you are dating me or else the school is going to create a giant panic." Ash says with a chuckle.
Serena sighs, and then she has another question to ask.
"Ash, may I ask about your brother?" Serena asks. "What kind of person is he?"
Ash frowns a little and says, "My brother...let's say I don't hate him, but I also don't like him."
"Why don't you like him?" Serena asks.
"Not only the Legendary Pokemon acknowledges me, but they also acknowledge my brother, especially the Nightmare Pokemon: Darkrai. But then, I heard rumors that he has been using Nightmares to traumatize people, so I wanted to show him the errors by beating him in the Sinnoh League...but..."
"But what?" Serena asks with a curious tone.
"I lost...I managed to beat Darkrai with my Sceptile, but he uses Latios to defeat the rest of my Pokemon." Ash says with a frown. "If it wasn't for the fact that he forfeited the winner title, I wouldn't have the chance to face the Sinnoh Elite Four and even the Champion Cynthia herself."
"Wait, you said that he has a Darkrai in his team...don't tell me your brother is..." Serena gasps in shock.
"You're right, he is the Number 1 of our Eastern Dorm. Tobias Ketchum." Ash says. "A lot of people think I become the Top 10 just because of my brother, but what they don't know, is that he never sees me as a brother, but a stranger."
"What?" Serena says with a little anger. "That's so mean...so the upcoming Top 10 Tournament, are you going to prove to him that what he did is wrong?"
"That's what I've been thinking of." Ash says, "But I want to know if I can do it..."
"I'm sure you can open up his eyes, Ash." Serena says. "You already opened my eyes and there is no way you can't open your brother's."
Ash gives her a small smile and says, "You're right. Thank you..."
And here is a new chapter, as you can see, I make Tobias Ash's older brother for some reason, and I also reveal the past of why Gladion hated the East. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the preparation of the Top 10 Tournament.
