Chapter 10
The day of the Top 10 Tournament has finally come, a lot of people have gathered at the stadium as they are watching nervously.
"Hey, guys, have you seen Ashy Boy somewhere?" Gary asks.
"Speaking of him, I haven't seen him since this morning..." Dawn says.
"He won't be coming." Chloe says with a sigh, and the others look at her with confusion. "Since he is not attending the tournament, he decides to do some training at the school grounds."
"That's so mean coming from him." Barry yells. "I'm going to fine him the next time we meet."
"But I can't blame him, his brother is the one that forces him to get out of the tournament because of the numbers." Chloe says.
At the same time, Serena's friends are also panicking about Serena's disappearance, and Lillie sighs and says, "Serena is not going to come here, she is going to do some training on the school grounds."
"Knowing her, she is not interested in this kind of tournament or some sort." Rosa agrees.
"And now, please welcome our judges for the tournament, we have our mysterious Sevestar Queen!"
Just then, Serena comes in with a disguise and a mask, as the others are stunned by the performer's beauty.
"Wow...is that the Sevestar Queen? She's so beautiful..." "But where is she from? The East or the West?"
The comments are mostly for boys, but those who know about Leaf recognize that under the mask, it is Leaf. "So the Sevestar Queen is Leaf..." Gary says. "No wonder I haven't seen her during these days."
"That means the Sevestar Queen is our side..." Dawn says as the others agree.
"The second one is our mysterious Sevestar Champion!" Ash also comes into the stadium with his disguise, and the East also recognizes that under the mask is no other than Calem, the former Alolan Champion.
"Is that Calem? He is the Sevestar Champion?" Mallow asks.
"How can that guy be the Champion of the Sevestar!" Clemont says with a little anger.
"You're just jealous that Serena is dating such a strong trainer." Rosa sighs.

Aurora also walks into the room, as both sides clap for her. Even though they know that Aurora is the Kanto Champion and also the Principal of the school, she has been staying neutral towards everyone and that's why everyone respects her.
Aurora takes the microphone and says, "This tournament is built for the healthy competition between the top 10 of each sides, I hope we can see a lot of wonderful performances."
The others are cheering as they see the contestants entering the stadium. At the same time, N is leaning at the wall of the hallway, until he hears someone walking towards him.
"I was surprised you weren't sitting at the stadium." He turns around and faces no other than Tobias. "Tobias..."
"I have no interest in these battles, after all, I chose my brother to be out of the tournament." Tobias says.
"Are you scared of him? That's why you kicked him out?" N asks with a smirk.

Tobias and N are the strongest Grade-3 students in the school, but they don't hold any grudges against each other because of their strengths. They consider themselves rivals because both of them are Legendary Pokemon users.
"And for now, we are going to pick three numbers from 2 to 9! Let's spin the wheel!" The announcer says as she spins the wheel, which lands on Number 4. "Oh, our first battle is between the Number 4, which means, Tyson and Ilima are the ones to battle."
As both people go onto the field, Ash comments, "Tyson is good at honing his skills with the type matchups and also his strength as a trainer. His partner Meowth is also one of his strongest Pokemon."
Serena says, "As for Ilima, he is a graduate from the Alola Trainer School, as he was called the School Prince right there. Before coming here for education, he also goes to Kalos to train with Mega Evolution, so I think the match will be interesting."Back at the stands, Goh asks, "Chloe, do you know how strong those two are? Considering that they are both in the Number 4?"
Chloe says, "Ash told me about Tyson, he is from the Hoenn Region, Ash has a full battle against him one time, and he lost."
"Ash lost to that person?" Dawn asks in shock.
"I was there to watch it..." May says. "Ash has respect for him because of his Meowth, which is similar to what Pikachu has suffered. Both of them don't want to evolve because of their hatred with the evolved form: Raichu and Persian."
"And the other one is Ilima." Gary says. "He is one of the trial captains in the Alola Region, he is also a Normal Type specialist. That Eevee of his have special powers that we can't ignore it.
"Now for the second number! We have Number 6! Which means Aria and Misty!" The announcer adds.
"Aria is the former Kalos Queen...until Serena took the seat." Ash says, as he can't reveal that the Sevestar Queen is Serena.
"And Misty is the Gym Leader of Cerulean City..." Serena comments.
"For the third number, we have Number 9! Which is going to be Paul versus Cilan!"
After six trainers go to the field, they are going to start the battle as Aurora, Ash, and Serena are watching the match.
Tyson says, "So we're in the first battle..."
Ilima says, "And please go easy on me."
Just then, much to everyone's surprise, Tyson goes for Meowth while Ilima goes for Eevee. The announcer says, "What? Both trainers send out Pokemon that are not in their final evolved form!"
Aurora comments, "Looks like the match sure is getting interesting..."
As for Aria and Misty, Aria says, "I heard that you are also a Water Performer, do you think you can beat me with your performer skills."
"You know I really hate people taunting me, why don't I show you my skills during this match?" Misty asks.
Then they send out Aromatisse and Starmie, as they are ready to battle. Serena says, "Performance battle, huh? This is interesting."
As for Paul and Cilan, Cilan has been trying to say something that nobody understands, but Paul just ignores him and says, "Electivire, stand by for battle."
"Ah, that sure is a nice Electivire, but I am going to show my skills as a connoisseur. Stunfisk!" Cilan says as he sends out his Pokemon.
Ash says, "Stunfisk and Electivire...Stunfisk has Ground Type to block Electric Type attacks, but Electivire also has Motor Drive to absorb Electric Attacks as well...but still, Cilan has the advantage...that is if he can break Paul's toughness..."
As the battle begins, both sides are now showing mercy with each other as they fight. Ilima says, "How about we don't hold back against each other?"
Just then, he goes for the Gigantamax Eevee, which shocks everyone as Eevee starts to grow big. Tyson says, "If you want this, I can play your game."
Tyson is doing the same as the Gigantamax Meowth appears on the field. Aurora says, "Both sides are using Gigantamax...how interesting..."
"Hey! How did Eastern people manage to get Gigantamax! I thought that is our Western thing!" A lot of people from the West are starting to boo at Tyson, but Tyson smirks and says, "Since when Dynamax, Z Rings, or Mega Evolution belong to the West? We all learn these things in this school and we can't we use them just because we are people from the East?"
A lot of Eastern people are agreeing with them as they yell back at the West. Ash sighs and says, "I can't believe that Western people would be this mean..."
"Aromatisse, use Moonblast!" Aria yells as the performer's Pokemon starts to shoot the giant pink sphere at Starmie, Misty says, "Sorry about that, but I'm going to win this match! Starmie, use Hydro Pump to knock it back!"
The Pokemon shoots out a giant Water beam and gets Aromatisse slammed into the wall. Misty says, "Too bad for you, besides a Performer, I am also a Gym Leader. So I have been battling more than you do."
Serena raises her hand and says, "Aromatisse is unable to battle, which means that Misty is the winner!"
Everyone in the Eastern dorm is cheering for Misty's victory, but the Westerns are not happy as they try to shout at Misty, but Misty's cold glare and the mallet cause them to turn into fear.
Aria says, "You sure are strong, but I'm not going to lose next time."
"I'll look forward to that." Misty says as they both leave. At the same time, Tyson and Ilima's Pokemon are returned to normal, and Ilima says, "Even though we used up our Dynamax, I still can do this as well."
Ilima is going for Z Move, Extreme Evoboost, and it causes all 8 Eeveelutions to give power to Eevee, then it goes for Take Down, which deals a lot of damage to Meowth.
"You sure are strong, Ilima, but too bad, my Meowth dislikes giving up from the battle. Use Thunderbolt!"
Meowth manages to get back up on their feet and goes for the attack, causing Eevee to faint in the end.
"Eevee is unable to battle, which means the winner goes to Tyson!" Aurora says.
As for Paul, he just mutters, "Pathetic. Use Ice Punch."
Then the punch from the Electric Type Pokemon causes Stunfisk to get down. Ash says, "Stunfisk is unable to battle, which means the winner goes for Paul."
The Westerns are not happy as they lose three battles in a row, as for the Easterns, they are taunting back at West and they cheer for their three members' victory.
Ash walks towards Serena and says, "As a member of the East, I am sorry that you West have lost three people to us."
Serena says, "Never mind about that, I know that the other 5 will revenge the 3 members."
"Since the next matches are tomorrow, how about we go somewhere else to relax?" Ash asks.
"I don't mind that, but first, we have to go back to the gyms or else our friends would be worried about us."
"You're right." Ash says as both he and Serena leave while Aurora is doing the announcement.
At the gym, Ash has Pikachu and Charizard out until they see Goh, Gary, and Chloe rushing towards him. Gary says, "Ash, why do you miss the matches?"
"Huh? Do you mean the top 10 tournament? I am not interested in that."
"But the three Eastern members won the match, that's all that matters." Goh says.
"I see..." Ash nods.
"But why didn't you tell us that your girlfriend is the Sevestar Queen?" Gary asks.
"What girlfriend?" Ash asks, "Leaf and I were just friends, and she wants me to keep a secret."
"I think we should stop asking Ash some weird questions." Chloe says as she drags Gary and Goh away, which Ash sighs in relief.
"Now let's go find Serena." Ash recalls his Pokemon and leaves.
Here is a new chapter, and this will be the start of the Tournament chapters. Three Eastern members win the first round, and I will try to write the upcoming 5 in the next chapters. I hope you like this chapter.
