Chapter 6 Wellspring Cave
After leaving Striaton City, they are now at Route 3. Ash and Cilan notice two buildings and Ash asks, "Cilan, what are those two buildings?"
"They are the Day Care Center and the Kindergarten, it is different from the Trainer's School in Striaton City." Cilan says.
"I see." Ash says. "You know, I think I'm going to have a new Pokemon to the team considering that I have only Pikachu and Oshawott."
Cilan says, "That sounds like a good idea, there are a lot of Pokemon you can find here."
Just then, they see Pidove flying above the forest, and Ash smiles, "Looks like I know what I'm going to capture."
Ash and Pikachu starts to chase after the Pidove, and then she has Pikachu use Thunderbolt to shock one of them, causing it to faint.
"Now it is our chance." But before Ash can throws a Pokeball, the enraged flock of Pidove attacks them with Air Cutter and Quick Attack, buying enough time for the fainted Pidove to recover and flee.
"Ash, are you okay?" Cilan asks with concern after the Pidove flock flees.
"I guess capturing Pokemon is never that easy..." Ash sighs, but then she is surprised to see one Pidove remained behind. "Looks like my luck hasn't run out."
Seizing this opportunity, Ash commands Pikachu to use Quick Attack, and Pidove is sent flying across the ground. She then manages to get onto her feet, recovers and tries to regain awareness of her surroundings. As she was doing so, Pikachu jumps into the air and lands an Iron Tail attack on Pidove, knocking her down.
"Now go! Pokeball!" Ash yells as she throws the Poke Ball, but it breaks free and uses Gust once again, this time, Pikachu dodges the attack and uses Thunderbolt again. Once she falls to the ground, Ash throws another Pokeball, capturing the Flying Type Pokemon in the end.
"Now I got a Pidove." Ash says with her usual pose, and Pikachu is cheering with her.
"Celebrating after capturing a Pokemon. You definitely are something, Ash." Cilan says.
Just then, they notice Cheren standing on the road, as Ash greets him. "Cheren, what are you doing here?"
Cheren smiles at Ash and he says, "Good to see you again...and aren't you the Grass Type Gym Leader? What are you doing here?"
"I am now traveling with Ash after seeing her battling. I must say I am impressed." Cilan says.
"So I guess you battled him for your Trio Badge." Cheren says. "I got Chili instead."
"Considering you got Snivy while I got Oshawott." Ash says. "Since we both have a Trio Badge, so how about we see which of us is stronger?"
"Fine by me." Cheren says as they throw their Pokeballs, which results in Pidove versus Snivy.
"Good, it seems like I have the type advantage. Use Air Cutter!" Ash yells.
"Dodge the attack and go for Wrap!" Cheren yells. Snivy uses its vines to make it dodge the attack, and then it wraps around Pidove, squeezing her.
"Hang in there, Pidove. Use Peck!" Ash says as Pidove manages to peck the vines on Snivy's body, which is super effective.
Cilan says, "That sure is risky...if Snivy binds harder, then Pidove won't be able to do that..."
Cheren says, "Ugh! You choose a good move, as usual. Use Growth!"
Snivy tries to raise its attack, but Ash has Pidove go for Wing Attack, which eventually knocks out Snivy in the end.
"Good work, Pidove." Ash says as the bird Pokemon rests on her shoulder.
"Snivy has been working hard, but I'll show you with Purrloin!" Cheren sends out his next Pokemon, and Ash decides to switch out to Oshawott, considering it is itching for a battle.
"Oshawott! Water Gun!" Ash says as Oshawott shoots out the attack.
"Purrloin uses Sand Attack to block the water! And then use Assist!" Cheren says.
Purrloin does what Cheren says, and it goes for Vine Whip, Oshawott has to use its Scalchop to block the attack.
"Hang in there, Oshawott. Use that as a shield and charge forward with Tackle!"
Oshawott does the risky move as he charges, eventually hitting Purrloin and causing it to be in pain.
"With my knowledge, I can bring out the strength of my Pokémon! Use Fury Swipes!" Cheren says.
Purrloin uses the swipes and slashes at Oshawott, causing him to be in pain, but Oshawott still manages to defeat the Purrloin with the Razor Shell.
"Why do you keep beating me? We have the same number of Gym Badges. We should be equals in strength…" Cheren frowns.
"Don't you forget, I have been a trainer for four to five years." Ash says with a sigh.
"I see. So that's how you battle." Cheren says as he adjusts his glasses.
"Out of the way!" Just then, they notice two Team Plasma Grunts running past them, as they are confused at what is going on there.
"Team Plasma?" Ash says with confusion.
"What was that about?" Cheren asks.
"Out of my way! Out of my way!" Just then, they see Bianca rushing with a girl beside her, the girl stops, but Bianca doesn't, and she crashes into Ash as she is sent into the river beside them.
"Ash!" Cilan and Cheren say with surprise, and Bianca notices that she is in trouble.
"I'm sorry! Ash!" Bianca keeps apologizing after Cilan and Cheren try to pull her out of the water.
Ash sighs, "It's fine, Bianca. Why are you running?"
"Those people in white uniforms that we met in Dreamyard! Where were those people headed?"
"That way, but… Why are you running now?" Cheren asks after pointing in a certain direction.
"Oh, seriously! They run so fast!" Bianca groans.
"Miss...oh...my Pokemon?" The girl asks Bianca as she is crying, Bianca quickly bends down and wipes her tears, "It'll be OK. It'll be OK. Don't cry."
"Bianca, really, why were you running? And what's wrong with her?" Ash asks.
"You have to hear this! Those people stole this girl's Pokémon!" Bianca says.
"You should have spoken up sooner! Ash, Cilan, we're going to get that Pokémon back. Bianca! Please stay by the girl's side." Cheren says.
"Sure." Ash and Cilan nod as they rush with Cheren to chase after the Team Plasma grunts.
They manage to stop in front of the cave, and Cheren says, "They ran inside here! Ash, Cilan, your Pokémon's HP is fine and you're ready to go, right?"
"You bet...but what is this cave?" Ash asks.
"This is the Wellspring Cave, it is just a cave that is filled with Pokemon as well." Cilan says.
"Then let's go." Cheren says as they enter the cave.
As they enter the cave, they find two grunts who are thinking about how to deal with the Pokemon they stole. Cheren says, "You there! Give us back the Pokemon!"
The two grunts notice the three people, and the male one says, "That child cannot use a Pokemon to its full potential. Doesn't that make the Pokemon sad?"
"It's the same thing for all your Pokemon, so hand them over to us now!" The female one says. "Better yet...We'll just take them!"
"As if you are just going to take our Pokemon like that." Ash says with anger as Cheren says, "Ash, let's fight together, shall we?"
Cilan says, "Indeed, we can't let them get away with this."
The three of them use Snivy, Pansage, and Pikachu to battle, and the two grunts use Patrat. But they are no match against the three of them as both Normal Type Pokemon are defeated.
"Woah, Woah, Woah. Come on now! I'm shocked to lose against little kids!" The male grunt says.
"How could we lose when we have right on our side?!" Female grunt asks.
"Not bad, Ash, Cilan. OK, go return the Pokémon to that girl."
"You don't need to return it!" Just then, three more grunts appear, and the first one says, "How troublesome, not only do you fail to understand, but you actually got in our way, too boot!"
"There's three of you and three of us, we'll show you our combined power and teach you that we are right!" The second one says.
"So, there were more of them… Still, why are Pokémon robbers acting so self-righteous?" Cilan asks.
"Well...We've got each other's back when it counts. Let's show them how it's done!" Ash says.
Then the three of them battle Team Plasma grunts as they use Patrat once more, like the previous battles, they are no match against Ash, Cilan, and Cheren's Pokemon.
"What? Did we lose?" "I can't believe that Team Plasma lost to such kids and a Gym Leader!" "In order to liberate Pokemon from foolish people, we will take their Pokemon!"
"Whatever… What a waste of time. Come on, what reason could possibly justify stealing Pokémon from people?" Cheren asks.
"Pokemon Trainers like you are making Pokemon suffer..." One grunt replies.
"What do you mean, Trainers are making Pokémon suffer? I don't get that at all!" Ash asks with frustration.
"We'll give you back the Pokemon. But be aware of how this Pokemon suffer from being used by people." The grunt decides to return the Pokeball. "Someday, open your eyes to your own complicity."
Ash takes the Pokeball as the grunts retreat. Ash uses her aura to check the Pokemon and she says, "Don't worry, this Pokemon isn't suffering."
"Trainer's bring out their Pokémon's strength. Pokémon believe in their Trainer and respond to that. I don't understand what makes Pokémon suffer." Cilan sighs.
"Well, I'll return the Pokemon." Cheren says as Ash takes the Pokemon to him.
"So now that Cheren is doing that, how about we check out what Pokemon we can find here." Ash says.
And much to her relief, she finds a rock-type Pokemon and Cilan says, "That's Roggenrola. It is a Rock Type Pokemon native to this Unova Region."
"This Pokemon looks cool, I think I'll capture it." Ash says, and she has Oshawott to battle, but Roggenrola is using the combo of Sandstorm and Stone Edge, which damages a lot.
"Stone Edge? That must be quite a strong Roggenrola." Cilan says.
"And it is now using Flash Cannon! Use Water Gun!" Ash yells, and both attacks collide with each other as they both are deflected, causing a minor explosion.
"Use Tackle!" Ash says as Oshawott tackles the Rock Type Pokemon, but it is as hard as rock, so Oshawott is feeling pain.
"Don't give up, do it again!" Ash yells as Oshawott decides to continue with the Tackle, and after several times, it manages to land a critical hit on Roggenrola, sending them both toppling over.
"Go! Pokeball!" Ash throws the Pokeball at the Pokemon, after three shakes, it is captured.
"That sure is something, Ash." Cilan says. "Looks like you have another new team member."
"Yeah. I haven't had that much Rock Type Pokemon in the past, this will be a great opportunity to try it out." Ash says while Pikachu agrees with Ash's words.
"So are you going to capture something else? I mean, there are also Woobat and Drilbur in the cave." Cilan asks.
"Well, those two are good Pokemon, but I think I'll pass. Since I am not capturing Pokemon just for the Pokedex. I want to be friends with Pokemon." Ash says.
Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, I have Ash captured Pidove and Roggenrola in this chapter, and they encounter Team Plasma once again. I am very excited to write some more and I hope you like this chapter.
