![]() Author has written 96 stories for Codename: Kids Next Door, Teen Titans, Harry Potter, Glee, Sims, Firefly, Tangled, Game of Thrones, Hunger Games, and Frozen. Hello. :) I'm E and I don't bite, promise! Most of my reading and writing these days I do over at AO3, but updates to WIPs that I've already begun to publish here at FFN will be posted here instead. The lovely likyboy's has kindly translated my one-shot Walk Away into French. Check it out here if you like! Oh wait, do you hear something? ... -incessant cheering starts- EHWIES, no other author can compete, She can lasso Sirius Black like no other, Even Mildred LeProut is jealous of EHWIES, EHWIES!! -attempts a cartwheel before flailing in the middle and falling over- ((Merci beaucoup to Wendy Brune for the cheer!)) EHWIES! EHWIES! Who’s the star? ((And to Desktop Warrior for this one!)) Recognition & Awards Of Hallows and Horcruxes: The Reviews Lounge 2007 Reviewer's Choice Awards Nominee for Best Oneshot and Best Character Sketch Challenges & Collaborations Hufflepuff's Malfoy: Belladonnacordial Unsort Challenge at The Reviews Lounge A (pretentious-ish?) quick guide to my stories... My completed multichapters: Through A Glass Darkly, my stab at an epic about the Marauders and company's sixth year, starts out as a YA-style exploration of Lily's transition from being Severus's loner best friend to becoming a confidante of her fellow Gryffindors, then cascades into a political drama about pureblood politics framing the First War and the rocky foundations of the Order of the Phoenix. (The fic is complete; just need to post the rest of the chapters!) Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a dark take on Tom Riddle's adolescent love life, is another nonlinear drabble collection. In contrast to Wedding, Beasts is a little less plotty, a little more disjointed, and a lot more stylistically experimental. Works in progress: Bellatrix's Wedding is a nonlinear drabble collection exploring the various family, blood, and war politics underpinning the relationships between attendees of the wedding of Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange's wedding. The Adventures of Lucy Weasley, Girl Wizard is my stab at next gen and will explore my headcanon for the fundamental mechanics of magic and spellwriting and draw attention to what I'm conceptualizing as a generation gap between the "all-was-well" tone of the epilogue and the PTSD and disillusionment that must have followed from children and young adults growing up during the Second War. Less likely to be continued--but still on my mind--is the currently one chapter long The Kingdom Dance, my AU attempt to fix everything I hate about Frozen (and I REALLY REALLY REALLY hate Frozen) that picks up immediately after the events of canon Tangled and stars Rapunzel instead of Kristoff as Anna's traveling companion in her quest to track down Elsa. Most 2deep4u experiments: story husk peeled from my bones, a stream-of-consciousness depiction of Snape's state of mind when Lily first leaves him, is a gloriously hot mess written in the immediate wake of a difficult breakup. The Weight and Bad, dialogue pieces centering around the Black sisters, are both experiments with leaving characters' motivations ambiguous in very short in media res conversations. Lash, in which Dorcas has a mental illness and James is her ex-boyfriend, is an even more extreme attempt at ambiguous dialogue that's steeped in relationship history, a style I'm also using to a lesser extent in Bellatrix's Wedding. Of all my stories, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them plays the most (by which I mean A LOT) with double meanings and fractured sentence structures. Most popular works: Through A Glass Darkly has gotten ridiculous quantities of attention over the years as its word count has accumulated, and you are all undeservedly complimentary and I love you all. Lily/James crowd pleasers Walk Away, Idiosyncrasies, and Anecdotes also tend to receive absurd amounts of love, and nearly a decade later, I STILL have a steady trickle of email alerts for them coming into my inbox. Fics I'm most proud of: Through A Glass Darkly's universe has grown enormously and will always be my baby. I'm very pleased with how the risks I took turned out in Lash and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as well as in Infected, which toys with codependence and self-harm in Lily and Severus's friendship. Capp & Capp LLP, or How Fast Scribonia Wove has a creative premise I'm really pleased with by turning the canonical inconsistencies between Sims 2 Veronaville and Sims 3 Monte Vista into a magical realism AU. Finally, better go and get your armor characterizes Minerva through the lens of a complicated ex-lovers relationship with Astronomy professor Septima Vector. |
