Quotes from Ginny's series – Bolded

Normal Speech

OceanBlueSeaEyes: I had a lot of fun writing him being troublesome. Kids are made to cause chaos after all!

AmethystDragon14: I really wanted to go traditional with how the imps react based off the movie and tv series xD I kinda like the tiny snippet that they were in the Royal Wedding, though it was a weird way to include them. I guess they were shapeshifted into humans since the Barrier was taken down in canon?

Ginnyrules27: I really wanted to write Hades as doting, but considering his track record, he's still probably a tad tough love, huh? Ha, I don't blame you! Where Mal seems to resist most hugs, Hadie certainly seems to like them!

Enjoy!

Hadie snacked away on a cave carrot while reading. His dad had given him extra study material after the godling had claimed he had only gone into the Underworld because he had nothing else to do.

Of course, if Auradon had thought of a way for VK's to still contact family should they so desire, Hadie wouldn't be desperately missing his sister. It's not like they knew any of the ones they brought over had access to the godly broadcast. Even if the one who did, rarely used it.

Mal still hadn't reached out on the link since she left.

'I wonder how's she's doing?' Hadie wondered, poking his thoughts in her direction. He could feel occasional spikes of stress and annoyance. Uma had suggested it might've been his dad, but Hades had a large clamp of control when it came to broadcasting through the link. At least in Hadie's direction.

God's I'll be grounded until they find a way to kill a God. So basically forever…

Ah. There she is.

Why? Hadie thought out to the odd mixture of feelings he could now confirm were from Mal.

Hadie? What in dad's name are you doing?

Apparently finding out something that can get you grounded. I didn't even know that was even possible. So…why would mom and dad ground you until they found a way to kill a God?

Hadie couldn't help but snicker. It was rare for either sibling to get in trouble, he was excited to not have to miss such a momentous event. He did have to wonder if Mal would even be grounded, depending on what she had done. Even if mom was in Auradon too, Mal wasn't used to the new place and could maybe wiggle some leeway.

You're not going to let this drop, are you?

Nope!

I hate you so much right now Hadie!

Hadie bit down on the carrot to keep himself from cackling. He could hear his dad stomping up the stairs from the Underworld. Pain was groveling about something while Hades growled expletives.

Love you too, sis. Now you gonna quit stalling and tell me or should I just tell mom that there's something she needs to talk to you about while she's in Boreadon?

Fine. But you need to swear to me that you won't tell mom or dad. Pirate's honor Hadie.

The last sentence of Mal's voice faded away just before Hadie could reply.

Who do I need to talk to while I'm in Auradon?

Unbeknownst to Hadie, he gave a slight jump just as his sister did mere moments ago.

Mom! Sorry, didn't mean to send anything to you over the link.

Oh? But you clearly were just thinking of me.

Uh, yeah, was just talking to Mal. You know, hoping you can see each other before Mal's left alone in Bore- uh, Auradon.

I hope so too, honey. You said you're talking to your sister right now?

Yup.

Maybe that's why she's not answering my link call. Has she mentioned anything about Prince Ben singing to her? It's absolutely everywhere on AuraTube.

I dunno what that is mom.

Oh! Well give her an ask for me, will you dear?

Sure, hold on.

Focusing on his link with Mal, Hadie reached back out.

mom wants to know why Prince Ben was singing to you?

There was a beat before his sister replied.

How does mom know about that?! Waves of surprise and worry came through the link.

Hadie smirked to himself. 'Must be something particularly spicy if Mal is this worried,' he thought.

She said it was on Auratube, whatever that is? All the gods are talking about it – it's quickly gaining views. Does this have something to do with why you'd be grounded?

yes Hadie, it does.

Hadie grimaced. They were lucky to have such loving parents, especially being stuck on the Isle. But the amount of expectations and security measures sometimes felt suffocating.

I don't blame you for not wanting mom or dad to know. They still treat me like I'm an infant sometimes with their safety rules. I get they're centuries old Gods, but they do have to accept that we're growing up, right?

Speaking of dad…

A crash and a yelp from the den echoed into his room. Shortly followed by the Grecian swears of his dad. Sounds like Pain made a monumental mess. Again.

Hadie crept forward. Mal had yet to reply, so he figured it was a good chance to eavesdrop what might've happened. Quickly popping out of his room, he slipped in to the den. Crouching behind one of the drapes would be his best chance to stay unnoticed. His dad usually kept the swearing to minimum at his mom's request. But the longer mom was gone, the less controlled the God became. While Hadie and Mal had both been taught some basic Greek, they relished in learning swears few could understand.

Hadie, can I get back to you?

Ah. So, this conversation would be going on hold anyways.

Sure thing. I'll just be here watching dad yell at Pain. It's amusing, seeing how orange he can get.

True to form, their normally blue haired father was starting to smoke. Bright fire working across his shoulders.

You are so weird little bro.

Takes one to know one big sis.

With a smile, Hadie turned off the link and turned his attention to Pain being near roasted. Apparently, the imp had dropped some paper orders and mixed them up. Leaving dad to have to dig the logs and double check every single one of the sentencings for the day.

'That explains why he's back late. He should've been back a couple hours ago, but now it's already time for what would've been dinner.'

Hadie settled against the stone wall behind the curtain. There was just enough light that he could pull out his book and pretend to read if he was discovered. 'I should probably reply to mom too.'

Mom?

Were you able to get anything, darling?

She said she'd get back to me. So, avoiding the subject, more like.

Why am I not surprised?

Because you're our mother and know us far too well for us to successfully hide anything entirely from you?

Aw, my baby boy is so smart…Don't you dare forget what you just said Hadie.

Feel free to remind me if I ever do. Are you going to try Uma next? Mal's more likely to share things with her if it's…of the girly variety.

Good idea. I'll do that after this meeting. Wish I could leave early. Need to start preparing for the Isle and help my mother wrap up the harvest tomorrow.

Olympus that boring?

Often is. Your sister's thing was the only thing holding any of the gods' attention.

Oh, do you think you'll be mirror calling soon?

Tonight. Maybe by then Mal will have mentioned something to you or your father.

A yelp pulled Hadie away. Pain had apparently gotten punted and had flown towards Hadie's hiding spot.

Then there was the loud sound of the curtain ripping and falling on top of him.

"Ow!"

"By Nyx! I'm so sorry Prince Hadie!"

Hadie pulled the curtain off his head and stared around the room in shock. Pain was groveling on front of him and Panic was cowering next to the sofa.

Hadie?

"Pain. Panic."

"Y-yes, Boss!"

"Go home."

The imp brothers ran as fast as their little legs could carry them as Hades stood with his arms folded, one hand pinching the bridge of his nose.

Sorry, mom. Need to help dad real quick with something.

"How long have you been there?" Hades stared down at his son.

"The whole time," Hadie forced his voice to be casual. "I was reading. I don't think you noticed me while you were yelling at Pain. And since you were blocking the door, I went behind the curtain to drown out some of the noise."

He grinned innocently and looked up at his dad.

"I haven't been paying you much attention though, was going between mind links with mom and Mal."

Hades' eyes widened. His words of choice while yelling at Pain were niche. If Hadie said them near his mother, she would know there was only one source they could've come from.

"Just…if I ever catch you saying anything you may or may not have heard today, I'm grounding you for a month."

"If you say so," Hadie continued to smile. "I was in the middle of talking with mom when Pain fell on me, want me to tell her you said hi?"

The God's face softened. "Send her my love, I'll just go make dinner."

"Mom says she'll call in a couple hours!" Hadie shouted at his father's retreating form.

"Looking forward to it then."

'I can't believe that worked,' thought Hadie as he got up from his spot on the floor.

That what worked?

Hadie paused as he sat on the sofa. 'Great, now I'm the one accidentally letting my thoughts out.'

Pain screwed something up, just managed to cool dad off and get Pain and Panic out from his wrath.

That was nice of you. Honestly, your father knows to have a better hold on his temper these days.

Eh, it's always gotten worse the longer you're gone. And now that Mal is gone too, he's been particularly testy. Until she accidentally talked to me today, she hadn't been calling home at all.

Hmm. Well, she's like your father in that regard. He's not fond of the link either. Too much like letting people in your head.

I suppose. He sends his love and that he's looking forward to the call by the way.

I love him and you, as well. Now this meeting is wrapping up, so I have to get going. See you soon my little lightning bolt.

Love you too, mom.

Closing the link, Hadie went back to reading while he waited for dinner to be ready.

Persephone's giggles filled the room as Hades filled her in on the events of the week. Including, but not limited to their son's indiscretions within the Underworld.

"I'm glad to hear our son is beginning to take his responsibilities as Prince seriously."

Hadie beamed despite being teased. It'd been too long since he had heard the music of his mother's laughter.

'Seeing her smile again is almost as warming as her actual hugs.'

"How was your week, Persephone?" Hades leaned forward, resting his arms on the backwards chair. "Hadie mentioned Mal was on the link earlier, is she doing okay?"

Hadie grinned even more. His mom often entertained them with bashing the Olympians, but this time…

This time, Mal would be the topic. He never agreed to Mal's request of pirate honor, but he likely wouldn't have needed to. Their mom would likely bring it up herself.

"Mal being Auradon is pretty much the only thing of interest this week. She's openly announced herself as our daughter, for one."

"Oy vey, has our ever so amazing family said anything yet?"

"Not one iota," Persephone sighed. "I only know because other students have mentioned it to their families, and they in turn ask me at events. It's only been a week, so I'd give it some time."

The goddess tilted her head in thought. "Although…after the events of today, I'm sure they'll be look into it soon enough."

"What happened today? Is that why she called?"

"Actually, she ignored my inquiries. She did talk to Hadie and Uma though," Persephone glanced at her son. "Did Mal ever end up elaborating what had happened?"

Hadie shook his head. "She hasn't spoke to me since. Did Uma know anything?"

"Whoa, wait, hold on. I'm still missing one teensy weensy detail here," Hades broke in. "What happened with Mal today?"

"Yeah, mom! Mal never actually said."

"Okay, okay, you two, settle down," Persephone laughed. "The championship for one of the school sports was today. Now, I normally wouldn't pay attention, but Prince Ben put on quite the performance afterwards and since it's the prince, videos made the rounds quite quickly."

"But what does that have to do with Mali?" Hades eyes narrowed.

"Well, if someone would refrain from interrupting," Persephone said, raising a brow at her husband.

"Apologies, Goddess."

Smirking, Persephone continued.

"You see, he was in full blown song and dance, for Mal. He's usually very quiet and composed, so it's taking the kingdom by storm. Unfortunately, the crowd drowns out the sound of whatever he actually says to Mal. And no one outside of the school was aware of what the VK's looked like yet, so you can imagine the uproar."

"I've been trying to reach her, but she's avoiding me it seems," she ended with a sigh.

"You say this isn't normal behavior for Beastie Jr?" At the shake of his wife's head, Hades spoke again.

"Before they left, Jay was telling Mal that he swiped Maleficent's spell book."

Hadie and Persephone looked at Hades in surprise.

"Are you saying Mal might've tried to spell the prince?" Hadie chewed his lip in thought. 'Definitely something to be grounded for life then. I definitely won't say anything then. That alone would be like an admission for Mal!'

"I told your sister to behave. I don't know what Jay intended by stealing it for her, but I never actually imagined Mal using it for anything. But I don't exactly know what's in that thing."

"I'll do a little more digging. I planned to see Mal before Family Day anyways. I wouldn't worry too much; part of Prince Ben's christening was immunity to behavior changing spells. Especially pertaining to love spells or potions."

"Hopefully it's nothing too serious. Keep me updated?"

"Always. I should get going, but I'll call again in soon," a sad smile graced Persephone's lips.

"Love you, Steph."

"Bye mom, love you!"

"And I love you both."

A couple days later, two boys stared at each other in silence. Celia and Yzla stood off to the side, reveling in their own amusement.

Hadie tried not to look away as the heterochromatic eyes of Regi stared unblinkingly.

Slowly, the white-haired boy reached out and took the box from Hadie's hands.

"Candy and…toothpaste?" Regi questioned as he opened the small parcel.

"They aren't filling, but they're treats from Auradon. They're also bad for your teeth, so I made sure to get toothpaste so you can clean your teeth and keep them from rotting."

Regi picked up a piece that Hadie recognized as a soft chew caramel.

The boy's naturally wide eyes grew wider as he sucked on the sweet, testing the new experience.

"Well, it's good to know you don't hate me," Regi looked back at Hadie.

"You're fun to hang with, but I love my parents too much to worry them." Hadie responded with a shake of his head. "I only got partially grounded for the roof surfing and the hyena stampede. It's more to do with that they don't like me out of their territory. I'm also pretty sure that my dad has a sixth sense or something keeping track of whenever I do something dangerous."

"I understand," Regi said quietly. "I really appreciate it."

He gave Hadie a light punch on the shoulder.

"I guess I can come by the restaurant or docks when I'm oh so bored and we can just hang and talk or whatever."

"I'd like that," the godling gave a gentle smile.

"Hey, Hads, we should get going," Celia interrupted. "It was nice catching up with you two."

"Thanks for the food and shit," Yzla smirked as Regi brightened into his usual wild grin.

"Yeah, I've heard kids can go batshit hyped on candy, so I'm looking forward to the chaos I can cause later."

"Oy vey," Hadie facepalmed. "Well, you didn't get the goods from me."

"Of course not, we're just casually saying hello here, we don't know each other at all," drawled Yzla.

"Much appreciated," Celia laughed.

They all waved goodbye, heading opposite directions from their hiding spot from under layers of tarp.

"What's up Cici?" Hadie looked at his friend in concern. "We didn't actually need to go anywhere. Not for a while I thought."

"Plans changed. I just saw Jay with some guy I've never seen before heading towards your dad's place."

"Wait, Jay?"

"I'm absolutely positive it was him."

Hadie started speed walking towards the restaurant.

'If Jay's back on the Isle, Mal is likely not too far behind!'

A short minute later, Hadie burst into his dad's restaurant.

"Hey, Jay!"

"Hadie, Celia! Good to see you two," Jay smiled from his seat.

"Hi Jay," Celia nodded. She squinted at the other boy with suspicion.

"Hads," she whispered, giving a slight wave to Jay to acknowledge her sister's friend. "I'm gonna wait outside in the back, I feel out of place with this newbie here."

"You sure?"

"Just bring food when you're done."

With a short nod to each other, Celia scurried back through the front and towards the alley.

Giving his own side eye at the stranger, Hadie launched himself at Jay.

Hey, it was his dad's restaurant. He could show affection if he wanted.

"When did you get here? Why'd you come back? You're not in trouble, are you? A real villain instead of just a VK? Have you ordered yet? I can ask dad to put something on if you haven't yet. Who's this random guy with you? Celia and I don't recognize him. Is M—"

"Okay! Slow down, Hadie," laughed Jay. Hadie saw the other boy suddenly look at him oddly after Jay spoke. "You must have been hanging out extra with Dizzy. I feel some whiplash coming on. Your dad's already taken our order, and we're just here on some business. We're not here permanently or anything."

"Yeah, don't worry little guy," the stranger smiled and reached over, ruffling Hadie's hair.

Both Hadie and Jay tensed.

"Um, I'm just gonna…go," Hadie stared and backed away towards the kitchen.

"I know you were excited to meet the son of Hades, but what did we say about ruffling other people's hair? And Hadie too! He hates that, crew or not…"

The last of Jay's words faded as the kitchen door closed behind him.

'Ah darn, left before Jay answered the rest of my questions. If Mal is here and I miss her before she goes back, she better have a good reason!' Hadie shook his head as he walked up to where his dad was cooking. 'I'm not going to go back out there though, that guy may give off a nice vibe, but who touches strangers like that! Possible new recruit or not. My hair! Only mom and dad allowed!'

Shaking the rant from his head, Hadie grabbed a small snack from the hidden counter.

"Did Jay say why he was back, dad? And who's the guy with him? He ruffled my hair! My hair!" Hadie whined.

"I'll let you know later, kid. And less of the kvetching, would ya? You know I hate that," Hades spoke as he shuffled past his son.

"Here, take some extra, I saw Celia in the back alley while Smee headed out for the rest of the day." Hades ran a hand over his son's hair, straightening it back out just the way Hadie preferred.

"Thanks dad," he gave a broad smile. "You let him go so early? I thought there was another hour or two before closing."

"Harry will be here soon. Otherwise, let's just say for security reasons. Now you head on out, take Celia and eat up at the ship. I'll be by to grab you later."

"Sounds good, thanks again, dad!" Hadie called out as he fled through the back door, Celia shortly joining him in the walk to the docks.

A short while later, Hadie and Celia relaxed on the stern, digesting their meal.

Blurs of red and blue caught his eye. Bolting up, Hadie peered across the water at the jetty.

'That's Jay and the new kid…Are they leaving already? They sure seem like they're in a rush…'

A few minutes later, a clad of purple barreled across the wharf. The pair of boys were pulling a tarp off a giant oblong contraption on wheels.

'Some sort of car? I've only a couple books that have had pictures of anything similar…And is that Mal?' Hadie thought sadly with some confusion as he watched the odd car drive across a magically appearing bridge.

'…I swear she better have a good reason for leaving without at least saying hi.'

The mirror call had barely started and Hades had already started pacing. The normally borderline flirting Hadie had come to expect when his parents spoke to each other was completely gone.

"They did a video call for villain parents?" Persephone questioned Hades. She could tell something else was bothering him and this was just the warm up.

'And if dad tells mom that Mal snuck back onto the Isle, we're going to be here for a while.'

"Yes! Apparently, some moron on the other side decided that despite constant claims of being your daughter, and therefore my daughter—I mean hellooooo, it's obvious correlation—they decided it'd be a fantastic idea to give the video call to Maleficent!"

"Well, at least whoever organized Family Day itself was smart enough to invite me. I saw Mal yesterday, by the way. She says hello."

"Oh, she had plenty of helloes when she snuck onto the Isle earlier today. And with Prince Beastie, too!"

"She snuck onto the Isle?! With the prince?" Persephone couldn't help but shriek. "That explains why the school nurse seemed confused when she called me earlier saying Mal had a dagger wound."

"She got hit by a dagger? Is she okay?" Hadie yelped at his mother through the mirror.

'Welp, that's as good a reason as any,' came a wry thought.

"She's fine, dear. Barely a scratch," Persephone assured Hadie, though glancing towards her husband in hopes to assuage him too.

Hades nodded stiffly, though he continued to pace back and forth.

"I've added a week to your original grounding," growled the God.

"Likely for the best," Persephone sighed, but nodded nonetheless. "I'm just glad that Ben updated the records to have me as Mal's guardian or the nurse wouldn't have called me at all."

Hades continued to growl.

"Hades…you have to accept that she's begun to date," Persephone sadly smiled. "And the Prince is one of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. No need to disapprove right now."

"For now?!" Hades shouted. "No no no no, she's sixteen!"

"For now, because unless he slips up, she couldn't do better, from both a political and personality perspective," Persephone crossed her arms. "But if he hurts her, in any way, you can have him when I'm done."

"I don't care who he is! My little girl? My daughter?! Absolutely not!" Hades' pacing around the room grew faster.

"Hades, dear," Persephone huffed. "She's my daughter too. I was aware and approved of her date. Even helped her prepare for it."

Hadie pulled himself close to the mirror. He couldn't care less for where the conversation had turned. He'd leave if he could, but he didn't want to miss out time seeing his mom. Nor would he be able to get past his dad constantly blocking the door. Not without getting bowled over at least.

"—and I'll find a way off this Gods' damned Isle if he harms a single hair on her head! I don't care who that boy may be, he better be ready for the Styx!"

Hades whirled around and pointed a finger towards his son.

"You," Hadie stared at his father, eyes wide in alarm.

"Hades, what—" Persephone looked on in concern.

"—Are not allowed to date till you are at least 20, you hear me?!"

Persephone rolled her eyes as Hadie slumped against the mirror in relief.

"I don't care about dating, dad," Hadie mimicked his mom.

"For now," mother and son heard Hades mutter before he resumed pacing.

"You're both babies! If it weren't for growing up with mortals, I wouldn't let either of you date till you were at least two hundred! My baby girl! Seriously, she's sixteen!

Hadie covered his ears as the rant continued. This could go for a while.

Hadie munched on some popcorn. Shortly after the fresh food haul that Mal had snuck over, an errand runner courtesy of Prince Ben brought over a television for Lord Hades' restaurant.

'Because he's going to be King Ben today,' Hadie thought, taking a sip of water.

He'd chosen a quiet spot behind the counter. It was the best spot to watch the TV from anyways. The Wharf Rats had pretty much taken over the seating area, waiting to see one of their captain's attend the event of the year. Plus, they weren't allowed behind the counter as they weren't workers or family, so Hadie felt it was the safest spot out of the way of the rambunctiousness.

Hades himself had maxed out the volume so he could hear it through the kitchen window and over the rowdy crowd.

It was for the best. Even if the cameras couldn't pick it up what they were saying, Hadie doubted their dad would be fond of watching what appeared to be an intimate moment between Mal and Ben.

"Dad! Mal's on the TV!" Hadie called through the window, watching his sister step down from a carriage.

'Heh, she looks borderline prissy princess,' Hadie laughed internally.

'I guess if Evie designed it, makes sense. Wonder what happened that she's on good terms with Blueberry to do that?' he shortly amended afterwards as the reporter, Snow White of all people, described Prince Ben and Mal's arrival.

Uma could be seen across the room, glaring at everyone, as if daring anyone to say something rude against Mal's appearance.

Behind him, Hadie began to pick up the tell-tale growl of his dad. Rapid mutters in old Greek occasionally interrupting the erratic grumbles.

The ceremony itself wasn't that interesting. A lot of pomp and circumstance, but ultimately short in of itself.

Until Blueberry grabbed the wand, that is.

"Did she just—" Hades began to say, but the rest went unheard as the crew began to roar.

"QUIET!" Uma screamed, her eyes not leaving the screen.

'What are you doing Mali?' Hadie wondered. He wasn't that worry about Mal, she was a godling after all. But still. What in Tartarus was going on?

The crew gasped as Mal talked to Blueberry, openly denouncing Maleficent as her mother.

'I didn't know Mal had been kidnapped before I was born!' Hadie glanced at his father as Mal spoke. The God's face was grim and the next line heard saw his shoulders stiffen.

'Maleficent has my dad!' Evie shouted.

"Dad?"

"I might not care for the Evil Queen, but her husband was a good man who helped the kids of the Isle before I did."

Hadie gave an unsure nod. It must've been before he was born too. He could count on one hand the adults he knew who were willing to stick their neck out to help the kids.

They watched quietly as Evie struggled to control the wand, flashes of light bursting occasionally from its tip.

"Hey! Look!" One of the crew members shouted, pointing out the front window.

"Is that… the sun?" Hadie squinted as the barrier began to flash and the clouds slowly fade.

Carefully, Mal tugged the wand away and returned it to Fairy Godmother.

Suddenly, cackling filled the room, emanating from the television. Green smoke swirled past the cameras, coalescing in the middle of the hall.

"I'm back!"

"Go away, Maleficent!"

"No way!"

"She was able to teleport that fast? The barrier is already back up!"

Hades held Hadie tightly by the shoulders, neither of the pair's eyes leaving the screen.

'Be careful, Mali.'

Hades returned to growling as they could hear Maleficent begin to threaten Mal.

"Funny you should mention dad, I would have thought you wouldn't want people to know that you could easily be overpowered by a mere sixteen-year-old."

"I didn't know Mal had a dad," one rat spoke up.

"Idiot! It takes two, don't it?!" Another one cuffed the first.

"I meant that she knew who he was," the rat snapped back, rubbing his ear.

"Unless you want another lesson in what happens when you disobey me? I recall I needed to teach you respect many times in the past."

"I'm not six years old anymore Maleficent! I'm not afraid of you!"

'Yeah, you tell that dragon to shove it!" Hadie nodded firmly. 'Wait, mom is there?!'

"Persephone, no,don't listen to Mal! The princess brat can hang back with the crowd, protect our daughter!"

Hadie ignored the rest of the crew. 'Looks like the cat is officially out of the bag with Mal shouting mom at, well, mom.'

"Your soul will be in so many pieces dad won't even need to judge you in the Underworld!'

'Oop, yep. That cemented it,' Hadie grinned as he saw some of the nearer rats turn, giving startled looks at Hades.

"Ah yes, your father. The weak mongrel who walked out on us. Who left you with me. Who went and got himself a new child with a woman who doesn't even know the full horror of the Isle. And yet you defend him."

"Oi, at least Lady Persephone helps the Isle instead of holing up and hoarding everything while you let the people you claim to rule, suffer!" Nick pelted popcorn at the screen.

"That 'weak mongrel' as you call him is a better parent…hell a better being than you will ever be! He never left me! You are the one who kidnapped me! You are the one who made my parents miss out on half my childhood! Because of your brainwashing, I missed out on weeks with my little brother because I hated him! But you will not break my family!'

'Mal…Mal hated me? What is she talking about?' Hadie couldn't help but nervously think. He had never seen a single sign that Mal had ever any other feeling but love for him. They were siblings, through and through.

His thoughts were interrupted as shouts filled the restaurant, his father gasping while the grip on Hadie's shoulders tightened even further.

Hadie's eyes widened as he watched Maleficent turn into a dragon. They were on the verge of falling out of his head as they widened even more, everyone watching his sister turn into a dragon as well.

The next few minutes were tense, the entire room silent as the two dragons clashed.

Smoke filled the camera view, increasing Hadie's nerves.

'Be okay, please be okay, Mali!'

As the smoke cleared, Mal stood triumphantly over a tiny lizard.

"I win."

All the Wharf Rats burst into cheers, popcorn and hats flying into the air.

Hades picked up Hadie, folding the godling into a hug that the small boy readily returned.

"I swear I'd be dead if I wasn't a God. Your sister is ruining my blood pressure."

Hadie laughed, seeing his mom pull Mal into a hug as well, berating and threating the purple-haired girl with another grounding.

Maleficent was no longer a threat to their family. Hades, who had been considered the number two villain after the fae, would likely get control.

But most importantly, everyone knew Mal was his sister. One who had just beaten the lunatic of a dragon and had the ear of the new King of Auradon.

The Isle could only get better.
