Author's Note

Hello to my readers, both past, present, and future. I'm writing this to you as the days tick down to the ten year anniversary of my first post of this fanfiction, Mass Effect: Interloper. I started writing this all the way back in college as something to do between classes. I had no idea when I started that anyone would want to read it. Now here we stand almost ten years later and many of you have followed and favorited me through Interloper, it's sequel The Collector Crisis, Vanguard of Vengeance, and other projects. I have grown immensely as a writer through these various projects, and that is through no small part due to the continued support and feedback of you the readers. For that, you will all always have my most sincere gratitude.

As many of you who follow me no doubt know, I have been on an extended hiatus for quite a while now. A mix of life events, work, and the year 2020 in general have kept me from the keyboard for far too long. But that is about to change. I've recently switched jobs, which has not only given me much more time to write, but has also given me more time to review my earlier works. This piece, Mass Effect: Interloper, especially. While it stands as my earliest and also most complete work, it was also part of my learning experience, and so no longer is representative of my greater body of work. So, with the ten year anniversary on its way, I have begun the project of rewriting it for release under the name Mass Effect: Interloper Redux. It is my hope that many of you who have read and enjoyed this work will follow me on this journey. A new chapter will be released each week. Some will be familiar, with mainly touchups. Some will be entirely new chapters, seeking to fill in blank spaces in the original plot. The narrative will mainly stick to the original path, though some sections are due for more serious rewrites. While the rewrites are ongoing, I'll be setting aside time for new chapters as well, though those will update less regularly. I hope to see you there!
