Laurel Lance's Apartment, Day
It had been a little over 3 weeks since Oliver was tricked into killing Malone by Prometheus and gradually he was starting to recover. Because it had also been 3 weeks since Laurel and Oliver renewed their relationship. So far in Laurel's opinion, 2017 was off to a good start. When they weren't with the team or Oliver wasn't at the office, they were together; most of the time, naked. Though they mostly screwed around at Oliver's, this week, Thea was out of town for a political conference. While they weren't keeping the fact they were back together a secret, they sort of just wanted to enjoy being together again for a while. And with her roommate now gone, the two could definitely enjoy themselves quite a bit.
"Wow." Which was all Laurel could say after she let out a sigh of pleasure.
"Yeah." Oliver agreed as he was catching his breath as they cuddled in bed together, the streets covering their toned bodies by their waists, and Laurel laid right on top of him as he stroked her long golden blonde hair.
"You know I've been meaning to say this for a while now. But I actually forgot how good we are at this ... together." She admitted joyfully as she rested her chin on his chest.
"I haven't." He replied flashing a boyish grin. "Why do you think a former playboy like me stayed with you for so long?"
"I always suspected my skills in the bedroom were what kept you around." She said chuckling.
"Well, that and the whole "love" thing." He admitted and then proceeded to softly kiss her, which gradually led to him getting on top of Laurel; again.
"Well, that too." She managed to get out in between their kisses. Ceasing their liplock, Oliver just looked at her beautiful face and lovingly stroke her cheek. "What?" She asked smiling.
"Nothing ... it's just, I've missed this." He mentioned.
"Yeah, I can tell. Given how much you and I have been going at it lately." She cracked truthfully.
"Well, we do have quite a bit of time to make up for." He countered with a joke of his own but then got more serious. "But I meant this, "us", it's been nice. I forgot how good this feels and how much I've missed it."
"I've missed it too." She said in agreement and as she pulled him back in for a kiss. A few seconds went by and eventually, Laurel's phone went off. "I should get that." She mentioned.
"Ignore it," He said silence her with a kiss but she pulled away afterward.
"I'll make it quick. Just keep going." She suggested and as she reached and swiped her phone, she felt Ollie's lips on his neck. "Hello. Oh, hey Lyla. Uh, yeah I'm a little busy at the moment." She smiled and laughed as Oliver was continuing to nibble on her neck. "What's up?" Immediately, Laurel's eyes widen with surprise as she sat up on her bed ending her and Oliver's mood. "Wait, John's what?" She said getting Oliver's attention and concern too as he sat up next to her.

"What do you mean, John's in solitary?" Felicity said incredulously as she jumped out of her computer desk. "And more importantly, how the hell did we not know about it?"
"Legally, the warden of the prison is not obliged to release that information unless asked by the party's lawyer, which John currently does not have." Laurel clarified.
"What I want to know is how long has John been in solitary?" Oliver asked his girlfriend.
"About three weeks at least, which must feel a lot longer to him. He's gotta be in hell right now." Laurel noted sadly.
"How did he even get in there in the first place?" Felicity asked her.
"Supposedly, they found some pretty compelling evidence that John was about to pull a prison break during their search on his cell. Which they were tipped off to search by an anonymous source." Laurel explained.
"Walker?" Oliver guessed that the Army General was trying to tie up loose ends.
"That's one theory. But I've been thinking about that a lot, and there might be an alternative. And I'll bet my fishnets that it's the same person who caused my license to get suspended." Laurel mentioned. "Prometheus."
"Why would Prometheus set John up or try to get you disbarred?" Felicity wondered.
"To get to me." Oliver upsettingly pointed out. "Prometheus told me that everything I touch dies and he's trying to prove that to me. He's trying to prove that I destroy myself and everyone who close to me."
"Alright, well, John can get another lawyer. Laurel, I imagine that you must have a few lawyer friends?" Felicity inquired.
"I do and I have. Some won't take the case, and all the others recommend trying to get John a plea deal; even though I assure them he's innocent. I'm starting to wonder if I'm the last idealistic lawyer in Star City." Laurel commented.
"I think I might know another or someone at least willing to help," Oliver said thinking Adrian.
"Well in the meantime, I'm gonna go run down a lead to find our wannabe Hannibal Lecter," Felicity said storming out.
"Hell hath no fury like Felicity Smoak scorned." Laurel jokingly paraphrased as she got in the elevator. "Hey, you okay?"
"I'm not the one stuck in a small box, why?" Oliver replied thinking of John.
"I just want to make sure that you know that Prometheus is doing this to me and John ... not you." She pointed out getting closer to him.
"And you think I need to be reminded of that?" He asked.
"I think he's getting in your head trying to make you think that. And considering how often you blame yourself for any remote thing connected to you ... part of me wonders if you're letting him." She argued.
"Well, he's not." He replied unconvincingly although Laurel decided to drop it, for now. Leaning to two give one another a quick kiss, when they found someone was watching them.
"Huh, I wasn't sure but wow," Rory noted as he walked in and Laurel and Oliver turned to see him. "Guess Curtis owes Rene, 20 bucks." He replied drinking his coffee.
"Um, Rory what did you see?" Laurel asked feeling a little embarrassed.
"And what did you mean by Curtis owing Rene money." Oliver inquired curiously.
"Well, last week Rene saw you two making googly eyes with each other and thought you two might be dating ... again apparently. And Curtis who's basically still shipping you and Felicity decided to make a wager on." Rory light-heartedly explained as both Oliver and Laurel were both surprised and annoyed that they knew this and made a bet on it.
Arrowcave Bunker, Later at Night
Walking in on Felicity delivering a few punches on the bag, Laurel took notice of her friend's form. "Make sure to keep your wrist straight," Laurel advised.
Punching the bag, Felicity then look at her wrist and noticed it was hurting a little. "Huh, good advice," Felicity noted and went back to punching the bag again. "Who'd you learn that one from?"
"Jessica Carmichael, the hard way," Laurel revealed. "She was giving Sara a hard time in high school cuz she thought Sara was seeing her boyfriend, so I introduced her face to my fist. My wrist hurt all week afterward."
"Huh, nice job," Felicity noted.
"Yeah ... except I found out that Sara was seeing her boyfriend behind her back." Laurel sighed recalling Sara's troublemaking behavior growing up. "Speaking of seeing someone, there's uh ... something you should know, about Oliver."
"What about Oliver?" Felicity asked turning to face Laurel.
"He's um, seeing someone." Laurel brought up.
"Really? Who and please tell me it's not that reporter lady from channel 52." Felicity said referring to Susan Williams, who was giving Oliver a hard time in the news and also had a thing for him apparently.
"Uh no ... it's, it's me, Felicity," Laurel revealed and saw the look of surprise on her bi-speckled face.
"You?" Felicity said pointing her finger at her.
"Yes."
"You and Oliver?" Felicity noted.
"Why so surprised? Oliver and I did date before. Technically we were together longer than you and him." Laurel reminded her.
"Yeah, I know, it's just ... surprising as all." Felicity awkwardly mentioned. "Wait, how long has this been going on? And why are you telling me this now?
"Not long. If I'm being honest it's sorta been building up for months now. Look ... I want you to know because you're my friend. And the three of us all work together. And I'd hate for you to find out some other way, especially since Oliver and I have apparently been making "googly eyes" with each other." Laurel explained.
"Well ... thanks for the heads up," Felicity said a little uncomfortably and went back to hitting the bag. "Doubt I would've heard it from Oliver, good luck with his secret-keeping."
Deciding to ignore her snippy comment, Laurel choose to leave considering she had a point. "Gee, I hadn't notice," Laurel replied with a sigh.
Private Property on Brand Blvd, Next Night
The search for Prometheus grew more problematic; because of many factors, most of them involving Felicity basically going rogue from the Team. Laurel didn't know if it because she told her about her and Oliver basically starting things back up after he killed her boyfriend or because she wanted revenge on Prometheus for what he did to Malone; probably both Laurel thought. Either way, she told her that whatever issues she was having to either get over it or keep it to herself. She also promised to help her friend with getting some payback against Prometheus, since Laurel understood, given how she was after Sara's death with Malcolm.
Tracking down Prometheus to a warehouse, the team split up to search for the masked maniac. Oliver was on his own, scouring the building Oliver eventually checked a hallway and in that instant he turned down the hallway, an arrow flew by him. "I have Prometheus's location, east end hallway!" Oliver shouted on comms as he moved down the hallway with an arrow notched.
Entering the room, Oliver look around but only saw a trigger crossbow that Prometheus has set up. Turning around, Oliver noticed too late at the last moment that the room was rigged to trap him. Going through this already, Oliver expected Prometheus but instead, he found nothing except a tablet. And as he turned it on, he saw it was a lived video feed that showed Laurel from behind. As he dropped the tablet immediately, he knew that Prometheus was showing him that he had Laurel right in his sights and he was going to make Oliver watch as he killed the woman he loves; while he was trapped in this room.
Going down the hallway, Laurel was alert by the sound she heard. "Prometheus." She realized and turned to face him. Charging at him, Laurel pulled out her tonfa and rammed it into Prometheus's gut as she simultaneously ducked to avoid his sword swing. Moving around the area, the two traded blows, and Laurel delivered a couple of low kicks as dropped down but Prometheus blocked her attacks and flipped her over on the ground but Laurel managed to recover and get back up.
Looking around the room for an exit point, Oliver saw there were no other doors and the windows were not only sealed shut but seemingly reinforced with something. Looking around at the walls, he tore down a shelf and saw a distinct crack in the wall. Deciding to make his own exit, Oliver knocked over a table and got behind it. Pulling an explosive arrow from his quiver, he fired it at the crack and immediately ducked down as it exploded. Looking up, Oliver saw a hole, big enough for him to exit the room and hopefully get to Laurel in time.
As Prometheus slashed his sword at Laurel, she pulled back to avoid his strikes and then extended her tonfa into a bo-staff and started striking back with her weapon. Laurel didn't know why she was surprised by how skilled Prometheus is, but she was. After all, he apparently trained under someone who taught Oliver and she knew personally how tough he was. She was holding her own against him at first, but now she was beginning to struggle. Using her staff to deliver attacks to get some distance, Laurel then jumped back and activated her sonic collar. The high-pitched noise it generated caused Prometheus to dropped his weapons and crouched down on the floor, covering his ears.
Moving towards him, Laurel was about to knock him out with her staff but Prometheus using a Ō goshi hip throw, a Judo maneuver, Prometheus threw Laurel on the ground and quickly gripped her throat. "The suit isn't just arrow-proof, it's soundproof." He told her menacingly.
Elsewhere, Oliver was running to Laurel's last known location.
Punching Laurel several times in the face causing her to become slightly disorientated, Prometheus then dragged her back up by her throat and kneed her thrice in the abdomen. Pulling her face to his own, the serial killer decided to mess with her head a little. "Just so you know I'm making Oliver watch this." He taunted then punched her in the face, repeatedly. "And he's gonna see his pretty bird die in agony." Letting go of her throat, Prometheus then delivered a powerful push kick that sent her crashing through a wooden wall.
Coughing up after having her throat released, Laurel didn't know what hurt more right now; her face, her throat, or her back. Seeing Prometheus kneeling down to pick up his weapons, Laurel reached for her holster to pull out her sidearm. But as she struggled to take aim at Prometheus due to her injuries but that didn't matter. As Prometheus soon stood over her, he knocked the gun out of her hand with his sword. Raising his blade to finish her off, Prometheus then turned around to see Oliver who he heard running up behind him.
As he turned to engage Oliver, the emerald archer immediately threw a flechette at him which pierced his suit and the dart released a gas that hit his face as he began to breathe it in."
"Diazepam. That should slow you down." Oliver told him and saw Prometheus look groggy as he pulled the dart out of him. Pulling out an ensnarement arrow, Oliver fired it at Prometheus but moved his arm up to capture as the cables wrapped around his forearm and used his sword to cut off the cables.
"Diazepam. You could say I have a tolerance." Prometheus revealed. "Until next time, Oliver." He said and dropped a smoke bomb, which quickly covered the area allowing him to vanish from sight.
Concerned more with Laurel's safety, Oliver ran over and crouched down to check on her. "Laurel!"
"I'll live," Laurel told him as she ached in pain. "Though sex is so out of the question tonight ... argh, and maybe tomorrow too." She said honestly with some sass as Oliver developed a smile of relief.
Laurel's Apartment, Later that Night
Holding a pack of ice to her head, Laurel sat on her sofa as Oliver walked over to her with a tray of food for both of them. "Mmm, I forgot you know how to cook now," Laurel said smiling.
"It's a good thing too unless you've made some improvements in that department as well." Oliver inquired as he took a seat next to her.
"Nope sorry," She said as they both know for a fact that she couldn't cook. "Although, I have gotten better at making scrambled eggs." She pointed out.
"I'll take your word for it." He said smiling and then began making a face that Laurel was all too familiar with.
"Okay, what's up? You got your "moppy face" on." She said as she removed her icepack from her head and Oliver sighed.
"Laurel ... hmph, Prometheus what did to you just get to me." He started to say but Laurel immediately interrupted him because she knew where this conversation was going.
"Oliver I know what your gonna say and you're wrong." She spoke up immediately.
"And what am I gonna say?" He asked.
"Your gonna suggest that we should break up because I'm a target and that's crap. Maybe us being together is gonna put a bigger target on my back than before but ... I'm happy Ollie. These last couple of weeks with you, it's the happiest I've been in months. And I like to think that you feel the same way." She finished her explanation with a question.
"I'm am happy, more than you know." He assured her with a smile. "And actually I wasn't going to suggest we break up."
"Really?" She said with some skepticism.
"Your not wrong, I do think that. And in the past, I would have tried but like you said Prometheus would come after you no matter what; and everyone else in my life. Us breaking up, wouldn't help anyone but him. So let's keep doing what we're doing " He admitted.
"Whoa ... you know I've been meaning to say but you being all mature and wise is actually pretty hot." She joked and then planted a kiss on him which he returned for several seconds. "Speaking of hot." She said and reached for the bowl of chili, Oliver made for them as she took her first bite her tongue felt like it was set on fire. "Son of a bitch, that's hot!" She exclaimed.
"Yeah, I make it really spicy." He revealed with a light chuckle.
Author's Notes: I honestly was gonna add this scene where Felicity throws a fit and Oliver or Laurel chews her out for it, but honestly I couldn't go through with writing it as it's scenes like that really ruined Arrow for me.
Laurel's defeat at Prometheus is gonna get to her a little bit as we are entering the final chapters of this story.
