![]() Author has written 64 stories for Dragon Ball Z, Warcraft, Inuyasha, Rising of the Shield Hero/盾の勇者の成り上がり, and Ancient Magus' Bride/魔法使いの嫁. New Concept/Story Ideals: Looking branch out of purely dbz fanfiction and write something of my own. Though I won't entirely stop. I just am running out of ideas that I want to do. So I have a few basic story ideas that if you have a moment and would like to chime in how you feel about them I'd appreciate it. Most of these will come from the reincarnation/isekai style ideas as i've been watching a fair few of these style of animes and just have my own thoughts. Cry Havoc: A firefighter dies in one inferno and is reborn into another one. Horrific scars and burns remain a part of his life as he wakes up with some knowledge of his past life into a new body. A body that isn't human but more reptillian in nature. He struggles to find purpose for years, but in his last life he was a lover of music, he was a hard rocker, punk rocker, metal head, and everything in between that he could remember. In this strange world he discovers that music or rather the sounds of it are in effect a power source. The ground, water, air, and life is shaped by a heavy beat and the goddess whether real or not loves to hear such rich sounds and rewards those in it generously with special powers. While unable to speak due to his injuries. Our hero discovers a stray child, an elf girl who is neither afraid nor aggressive to our reborn protagonist who decides to help her. She draws back to her village where he discovers that his love of music might aid him in this world and is set on an adventure that will lead to this world's heart which wishes to keep its rare power regulated and controlled. But before that he has several encounters with a strange woman. One who cannot speak or see from another realm, yet somehow bid by her to travel to this societies center and perform some task. Compelled without reason, our protagonist embarks on this journey. Bellagrim: Murdered by his own father, a dying teen is ready to be brought to the other side by the matron of souls, a guiding hand for the dead. Lady Bellagrim, who mourns his death but offers him peace in the afterlife. He doesn't wish to go not understand the why of his death. Whether out of pity or some understanding Bellagrim lets this soul find more meaning in life and reincarnates him as a Gray Guide. A wayfarer of souls, those that guide the dead and protect them. His power is great, to stop the influence of angels and demons upon the mortal plane, but is unable to touch a mortal being in any way. But she sends him off world to see that he is not alone and if he wishes after some servitude to continue working for her or going to the afterlife would be better for him. He is forbidden from interfering with mortal lifes. As his actions have no effect on the material world as he does not exist in it. Until one day after half a century the glass breaks, the barrier that keeps him bound is gone and he steps out into a world rife with sin, malcontent, and suffering that he remembered first hand. He does not understand why or how, but as he protects an abandoned wagon carrying a pregnant woman who is about to deliver her child he starts something that can not be undone. “The problems I had existed before I did, and I discovered them.” ― Guy Sajer, The Forgotten Soldier Kerghan: If only I could show you the places I have seen, you might understand the things I say. I have been to the Desolate Lands, wandered by those souls who still see the lands of the living but wear the cloak of the dead. Blind to their own ends, they cry, passing through one another like shadows in the dying light of day. I have travelled to where souls rot in torment, pierced with the jagged shards of life and vision, clinging to memory - regrets of the flesh. I saw that this prison was of their own making, and that the key was in unknowing, in release... and still, I travelled on. And finally, I came to the place where souls go to die. Where the mirrored and worn spirits fall into an endless sea of grey, mirrored glass... and I lowered myself within... and lay among them... and I almost did not return. And do you know what I found there? There, among the silent and battered shells of the innumerable? Peace. Enlightenment. Truth. Only then I realized that this place, this "Life", is an abomination, a horrible distortion of the natural order. This "Life", who mothered Pain, and Fear, and Envy - these twisted children who exist only because we are here to feed them, to nourish them. This "Life", this... afterthought - a disturbance, a mere ripple in that great, dead sea, not even the cause, but merely an effect, sending these souls upwards, screaming for release from the day they are torn from their waters! The effect of what! I do not know. Nor do I care. Have you ever spoken with the dead? Called to them from this side, pulled them from their silent rest? Do you know what it is that they feel? Pain. Pain, when torn into this wakefulness, this reminder of the chaos from which they had escaped. Pain, at having to live. There will be no more pain. There will be no more chaos. Kerghan: I see your soul, traveler. It screams, tattered and spent. Do you feel its pull? Do you hear its wailing? |
