Chapter 10: Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I am glad you all are enjoying my work, the growth of followers and favorites I have seen for this story is crazy, also the fact that this story has generated nearly 13 thousand views in only a couple months as it was end of July that I started posting this story, and this is my first story for this fandom. It means I must be doing something right. Anyway, we are finally here, the beginning of the Rouges Gallery, Skulker.

On with the Show:

After Maddie had made dinner for the two of them, they sat down to eat as well as read some more files, and these were ones they were more interested in more as this way they would know what ghosts to keep a particular eye out for.

Opening the Enemies folder, the Fentons saw at the top of the file list was a note from Danny, A Note for Mom and Dad. Opening the file, they read:

Notice for Mom and Dad, if you are going through my files on my foes, here follows the list in which you should read them: Skulker, Technus, Walker, Ember, Desiree, Spectra, Johnny & Kitty, Poindexter, Box Ghost, Lunch Lady, Youngblood, Dragon Royalty, Hotep Ra, Freakshow, Ghost Writer.

"Having us jump all over the place, Danny?" Jack asked.

"Probably has good reasons for it," Maddie said, to answer Jack's question.

With the path laid out before them, Maddie scrolled down the list to Skulker, The Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter.

"A hunter of what? Other Ghosts?" Jack asked.

Maddie opened the file, and they saw two images of the Ghost, one of the armored battle suit, and a small green blob. The caption on the images read: Battle suit form, and true form.

"I remember this ghost, when Danny and me when fishing, this was the ghost we caught, I had used the Fenton fisher to yank the suit's helmet off, and grabbed the tiny ghost, and then Danny shoved him into a Fenton Thermos." Jack recounted the tale, "Though I doubt that is why Danny made him the first to read of his foes."

"Danny has been mentioned him before, working for Vlad during the reunion," Maddie reminded him.

"Right," Jack said.

Name: Skulker

Species: Ghost

Title: Self-proclaimed Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter, yeah right.

Both Fentons chuckled at that.

Occupation: Hunts other ghosts for sport, occasionally works for Vlad for money and upgrades, hunts me as I am "unique." Note to self, ask if he ever tried to hunt Plasmius.

That answered that question, "A ghost that hunts other ghosts, well, there are some that are ghost animals, so that makes sense, but I get the feeling that is not the only kind of Ghost that he hunts," Jack said.

"The most dangerous game is one's own kind," Maddie said.

"Also, by unique, Danny means because he is only half ghost, right?" Jack asked.

"I would assume so, which does beg the question, does he know Vlad is half ghost as well, like Danny asked." Maddie said, a puzzled look on her face for a moment.

"He would have to know as he works for Vlad sometimes." Jack said, also confused as to why he would work for one half-ghost and hunt another.

Friend or Foe: Foe

Powers: Standard Ghost Powers, but prefers to use his suit that has a jetpack and is packed with ghost hunting weapons. Suit can be hacked though.

Skulker, the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter, he is a hunter of other ghosts, despite being a ghost himself. He is after me constantly as he wants my pelt on his wall, as I am "unique" among ghosts as I am half-human. Although the other one that he would know of, Vlad, apparently, he is on good turns with, Sure, this is due to the fact that Vlad provides money and upgrades for Skulker, though I wonder if he once tried to hunt Vlad, but he was already too powerful for Skulker. "Good theory," Jack said.

Need to ask him when I get the chance, most likely at Christmas, the one time he is not hunting me.

"Is Christmas, like the one-time of year Danny gets a break from Ghost Hunting?" Jack asked.

"It makes sense," Maddie said.

Where do I begin with Skulker, it has been a long road, or at least, feels like it. We go back a while, it began with the report on the purple back gorilla Sampson, or rather Deliah, that I was doing to raise my biology grade, as my ghost hunting had been affecting my grades at the time, still does somewhat. So, I was trying to fight ghosts and study for the test the next day, and it was the first encounter with the Box Ghost too, and didn't do great. We were at the zoo, and apparently me and Tuck had fallen asleep, while Skulker had apparently gained the attention of Sampson, who Sam had let out of his enclosure, and the ghost got flung to our watch tower, Sam saw him about to attack me in my sleep, then the gorilla came through the window and Skulker up and left, we awoke to a Gorilla pounding on a wall, that Skulker must have fled through.

"Must have been a weird wakeup call," Jack remarked.

The next day when we came home from the zoo, Skulker was waiting for me in my room, he must have followed me. He caught me in an ecto-net, and dragged me into my room, where he introduced himself, and the fight was what was heard by everyone else in the house at the time. "Oh, yeah, that was the day that Jazz had that interviewer for genius woman magazine come to the house," Maddie recalled.

So, we were down in the lab as he brought me down there to take me to the ghost zone, and then Sam used some psychology about the gorilla to get Skulker distracted so I could get free. He then stole Tuck's PDA, which apparently is compatible with the battle suit, and then the suit made him leave as he had become bound to the schedule that Tuck had set for me in order to do the report about the gorilla, which got me out of few encounters with him during the school day, as he would show up trap me/ Dash in one instance, and then have to leave.

So, we went back the zoo to ambush Skulker, and we did, and Sampson came and beat him badly, and this is how I discovered that it was a suit, and the real ghost was a little green blob in the helmet.

Next encounter was brief as he was hired by Vlad to trap me at the reunion for Vlad, Vlad actually saved me from Skulker as he was about to slit my throat or something with the new upgrade he had gotten, an ecto-blade in his wrist gauntlet. Vlad walked in, told Skulker off, and then he left, apparently still having to research gorillas, I don't know.

"At least he did something good," Maddie grumbled.

Soon after that, apparently, he was arrested by Walker as he was in Walker's prison when I was in there. I convinced him and the others of my rouges at the time, as I yet to meet some of them, to cause a riot and escape. As we parted ways, he said that he looked forward to hunting me on the other side, meaning outside the prison as I had business with Walker still to take care of.

"Odd how this Walker has both locked up Danny's rouges, and is one of his Rouges," Jack remarked.

Next, was during the school project about taking care of a sack of flour that was supposed to be a representation of a baby, with Valerie, where Skulker kidnaps both of us, as Phantom and Red Huntress, to try to survive being hunted by Skulker on his island, oh and having to make sure Skulker didn't destroy the flour sack. Also, he tried framing Phantom to the Red Huntress by scaring the flour sack before he kidnaped us. What a bloody mess that day was.

"Sounds like it was a mess, Danny," Jack said.

When the Ghost King was awoken by Vlad, he was the one leading the charge, or exodus from the Ghost Zone, and he and my rouges at the time, as I hadn't met one of them at the time helped defeat the Ghost King's army while I took on the King.

Skulker was at the Christmas Party, and helped save Christmas Eve. I will explain later what I mean by this, see the Ghost Writer's file for this explanation.

"Helped save Christmas eve? I really want to know that tale." Jack said, curious.

"So Do I, but that will be later," Maddie said.

After Christmas, it was during Jazz's trial run as front-line member of Team Phantom, that was not going great, that the encounters with Skulker were a bit off. See, he was too busy stealing some things from earth, like nano-bots from Axion labs and the ecto-converter from the Fenton RV to deal with me, it was only somewhat normal when I had gone after him, thinking that Jazz went after him on her own, instead of going to Vlad, he was in the middle of stealing a lightning rod from Technus. He was stealing these items for a Vlad scheme, and he captured me and delivered me to Vlad as well, this is where the story of me and Jazz fighting each other comes into play.

"Oh, I was wondering where that event happened," Maddie said, out of concern that her kids had fought each other in combat.

Side Note: Jazz for a while called him Ghost-X, and tried to thinking of "witty banter" with X puns in them. Also, she hacked my Ghost Files, in their previous form, trying to find more information on Skulker, not cool Jazz.

"Well, considering everyone knows what his password is, or was if he decided to change it since this, it is not surprising at all that Jazz got into his files." Maddie said.

Later on, when I was paired up with Dash for the presidential fitness challenge, well first during training with Sam for it, he showed up and was quickly defeated, don't know what was up with that, didn't question it at the time. Me as Phantom, Dash, and Skulker were shrunk down by a blast from the Fenton Crammer, and so me and Dash, are tiny and being chased by Skulker throughout the house, meanwhile, my powers are failing one by one, and I am bit by bit turning back human. Fortunately, I think some of Skulker's powers failed as well, well those that don't rely on his suit to use.

So, we managed to get to the Ops center and Dash managed to hit the button to regrow me to my regular size, just in time, as the last of my ghost side, being my green eyes had faded, don't worry, my secret is still intact, Dash did not see me fully lose my powers, and the moment I was hit with the growth ray, I transformed back into Phantom. I grabbed tiny Skulker and threw him into the freezer in the Ops center.

"That is good, I understand why Danny was hit with the shrink ray, but why was Dash hit with it, hon?" Maddie asked.

"I fired three shots in case I missed one of the ghosts with the first two, and I hit all three shots, on three targets. Just a civilian caught in the crossfire," Jack said with guilt in his voice. He really needed to work on his aim, as he made a mental note to work on it.

An interesting recent encounter with him, was when me and Dad went on a fishing trip to Lake Eerie, "I was just talking about this encounter," Jack said, Maddie half smiled in amusement, though I feel like I missed a more important battle here in Amity Park when the ghost villainesses showed up, but that is past now.

"That is right, that was the same day, almost forgot that the ghost takeover was when you were fishing with Danny," Maddie remarked.

I had to juggle fighting Skulker and keeping Dad unaware of the fact I had powers, I had to come up with some lies fast, I think the one that should not have worked was the one about the quick rainstorm, despite being a clear day, that was actually Skulker using a Waterspout machine that he apparently had in that suit of armor.

Anyway, the reason he was after me this time was that his girlfriend said that he was a lousy hunter, and he was going to prove that he was a great hunter by getting me. That didn't work out for him, now did it?

"Who is his girlfriend?" Jack asked, knowing he was not going to get an answer.

Skulker had found a ghostly leviathan like creature, and was riding it after us, it is also the creature we brought home to cook. So, it had swallowed me, I was fine, don't worry, enhanced durability and all. Dad actually had a victory over both the Leviathan and Skulker, using the Fenton Fisher, ripping the suit's helmet head off and then we thermosed Skulker's true form.

Apparently, he is dating someone, I don't know who, but I get the feeling it is one of my other Rouges, but I can't be certain who it is.

Second most recent encounter with him was when I enlisted his help, along with Youngblood, and Johnny 13, to help me save the Ghost Zone from an Ecto-missile that the Guys In White were going to use to destroy the ghost zone, which is actually a bad thing.

"If we hadn't read the files about Danny's allies first, I would question why Danny would want to save the Ghost Zone," Jack said.

"I would wonder as well," Maddie said.

See, Earth and the Ghost Zone are linked in such a way, that if one is destroyed, the other is destroyed as well. I don't know if it would be instant or not, but I never want to find out.

"That answers that question, also what?" Jack asked.

"It seems that there are evermore mysteries and knowledge to find out about the Ghost Zone. It also seems that once again, Danny proves that we have the wrong idea about Ghosts," Maddie said.

It is also the reason the GIW bought the house was so they could have access to the Zone, so they could destroy it.

"To think I used to think they were cool guys, now I see them as what they are," Jack said.

Good thing I put a password lock on the portal, but they seemed to crack it, but luckily, I managed to get to our portal through one of Vlad's as I think he has multiple, one of which is behind an ugly painting of him as some historical military leader. Jazz tells me it is Napoleon.

"You really need to do some more studying Danny, once we find a way to get you that time," Maddie remarked.

Finally, the most recent time I saw him, was during the Pandora's box incident as I was on my way to find Pandora to get her help to take on the Box Ghost, and I ran into Skulker running from some ghost unicorns that were actually pretty dangerous, and I saved him from them, and left him in an ice cave, and told him to wait there until it was safe, and he gave me directions to Pandora.

I am expecting him to come around at some point this week, it is just routine like that now.

If I were to mark someone as leader of my Rogues Gallery, it would be Skulker, I have fought him more times then I care to count. Also, if the chips are down and me and the Rogues have to work together, Skulker is the one leading the charge on their side. Almost as if, by their own judgment, he is fit to be the leader.

"That would explain why Danny wanted us to read this one first, if he is the de facto leader of the group," Jack said.

"Seems so," Maddie remarked.

I can't help but wonder though, based on what I know of my rouges gallery, I could be completely wrong on this, and he could be dating outside the group, but if I were to wager a guess as to who he is dating, I have to guess he is dating Ember, as Johnny and Kitty are a couple, Box Ghost and Lunch Lady, at least in the future, Desiree has a misplaced grudge against men, Spectra and Bertrand seem to be a couple of some kind, based off of what happened when the three villainess showed up, so that just leaves Ember as the last possibility. Just a thought, whether or not it is true, is another matter. Need to ask them that question if they let me.

As for the matter of whether or not I think he was once alive or not, I have no evidence of any kind with him, all I can think of was that he was some kind of hunter of rare and endangered animals, but that is only if he was, which I don't believe he was, so, I wouldn't even put him in one of the three categories, or at the least, very bottom of Uncertain.

Something I did not want to acknowledge until recently as I was compiling these files, and I mentioned this briefly in Danielle's file, but I fear she has a double target on her back, and not just because of Vlad, technically, she is more unique than me as she is both a halfa and a clone. Sooner or later, Skulker will find out, and I will make sure she is ready to fight him.

Eyes went wide in slight horror, Danny was right, Danielle would be a bigger prize to the Hunter, they need to find her soon, to protect her. "At least he doesn't know about Danielle yet," Jack said, trying find a bright point about it.

"As far as we know, odd, if Vlad is interested in tracking down, why hasn't he sent Skulker to find her? Then again, he did nearly kill Danny against Vlad's orders, so that is probably why," Maddie said, concern was growing for their third child, even if they haven't met her yet. With Skulker finished, Maddie closed his file and then moved on the next in the order Danny set for them, Technus, The Master of Technology.

There you have it everyone, the file on the de facto leader of the rouges gallery, Skulker. This chapter and the next were actually among the last I wrote Danny's parts for when I had disappeared and finished Danny's part of the files, as they are hefty, and I was dreading doing them as I knew there was a lot to cover, so I pushed them off to last. Reason I am having them going in a particular order, partially due to the order in which I wrote the chapters, also how important these ghosts are, so I sort of put them in the order how often they appear, also in terms of where I think they would rank in terms of authority in the Rouges Gallery, kind of like DC comic hero Flash's foes called the Rouges were Captain Cold is the leader and everyone has a level of authority under him.

Next time is the Second in Command of the Rouges, and the one I was dreading to write for a while, Technus, Master of Technology.
