Chapter 4

Ahsoka had talked frantically at Leia, and it took her about twenty minutes to get Ahsoka to calm down. After that happened, she got Ahsoka ready, after making her take a shower, and got her into the nicest clothes they had available.

Ahsoka made her way to the lower gunner position later as the ship was still traveling through hyperspace. Most of the crew was taking a nap at this point, knowing there was a decent amount of time before they would get to their destination.

When she climbed down, she found Trey there with some rations and just sitting and staring out the window, watching the stars fly by. He turned when he heard her approach and smiled.

"Well don't you look lovely tonight," Trey said with a smile.

"Well this was the best I could do on short notice," Ahsoka said. "No thanks to you of course."

"Ahsoka we've known each other for how long?" Trey asked. "Put on the nicest clothes you can get and you'll still be the same girl I fell into that bog on Mimban with."

"Oh god don't remind me of that," Ahsoka said, sitting next to him. "We reeked for a week after that. Anakin made us stay in our own wing of the ship till we got back and that place had to be power washed like eight times after we got out of there."

Trey laughed at the memory, leaning back a bit. "That was Renee's first mission as a Knight too, wasn't it? What a potent one to remember."

Ahsoka laughed as well and the night basically continued like that. They recalled stories, ate some of the food, talked about other random things, and basically just had a good time. The very brief initial awkwardness that was between the two faded very quickly.

Before any of them could realize, it had been three hours and was now coming up in the middle of the night. Ahsoka only noticed this because she glanced down at her watch.

"Goodness," Ahsoka said. "We've been here for such a long time."

"You should go rest up," Trey said with a smile. "We've got a big day tomorrow. No doubt filled with reports, meetings, and paperwork over all of this."

"Yeah you're probably right," Ahsoka said, stretching her back out and feeling the joints pop.

She was about to get up when she looked over at Trey. He smiled at her and she smiled back. She pushed down her nervousness and leaned forward, pressing her lips to his. Trey met her embrace as well and the two locked into their first kiss.

Ahsoka melted into him as she felt his arm snake around the small of her back and pull her closer to him. They stayed that way for a couple of minutes until they broke, both of them taking in some air after a pretty intense first kiss.

"That was," Trey said, still holding Ahsoka close.

"Amazing," Ahsoka said, catching her breath as well and still smiling. "Absolutely amazing."

"I don't want to sound like I'm rushing things," Trey said. "But you think that I can call you my girlfriend?"

"As long as I can call you my boyfriend," Ahsoka said with a smile, going in for another kiss.

But then, they both were interrupted. What equated to nails grinding on a chalkboard through the Force rang through both of their minds as they both cried out in pain, holding their heads as Ahsoka fell into Trey's chest.

The Dark Side has awoken. Your feeble victories will not last much longer. The Sith will rule once more.

The message was loud and clear, and rang through both of the Jedi's brains. Afterwards, the pressure was taken off and they both just breathed heavy as they let themselves relax. After a couple of minutes, they both looked at each other and stood up quickly, making their way into the main area.

Leia was still on the ground and Han was rubbing her back and tending to her, a genuine concerned look on his face. Ahsoka was by Leia's side in a second and looked at her.

"Leia, are you okay?" Ahsoka asked.

"What was that?" Leia asked.

"I don't know," Ahsoka said. "But we're gonna figure it out."

Jedi Temple, Coruscant

Ahsoka sat in her chair in the Council's chambers as the entire Jedi Council had gathered. Trey and Leia had been briefed already and were resting their quarters for the time being, as the Council was discussing the most recent mind blast that was sent to everyone.

"Troubling this news is," Yoda said. "The threat of the Sith, not something take lightly, we should."

"It's been 18 years since we heard anything from the Sith," Anakin said. "Palpatine and Dooku were supposed to be the last."

"We did have the renegade Sith Maul that I fought on Mandalore," Obi-Wan said. "But it didn't sound like him at all. But it could be a possibility."

"I did have a message before this blast on Tatooine," Ahsoka said, and all of the attention was on her for the moment. "I was in the cantina waiting for our contact to arrive and a very similar voice said to me; 'The seeds of the darkside have already been planted. All you can do is watch them grow'."

"And the voice sounded similar?" Shaak Ti asked.

"A seamless match," Ahsoka said. "I also had a vision of a girl in tan clothing holding a blue lightsaber in a snow covered forest being approached by a dark figure with a red lightsaber. I had not recognized either of those two before. I also saw what I think are clones, but with different armor on. There was a disfigured mask that I didn't recognize, but the most troubling part was that there was a planet with a giant cannon on it, big enough and with enough firepower to destroy another planet completely."

There was a murmur around the council room at that news. A weapon like that had never been thought of, let alone the attempt to build. Yoda thought for a moment and looked out to the group.

"Investigation, needed it is," Yoda said. "Into Maul, and the weapon."

"Galen Erso and his daughter Jyn have become lead scientists for the Republic and weapons manufacturing," Anakin said. "Talking to him about if this is even possible could be a start. He would know if something like this could even be possible."

"And I should look to track down Maul," Obi-Wan said. "It's been more than long enough since I ended that part of my life."

"Settled it is," Yoda said. "Go with Master Kenobi, I will. To track down Maul, we must. Master Skywalker, take Master Tano and your padawans with you. Prepare the clones for possible attack, the rest of us will. May the Force be with us all."

Hey hey everyone! Man it has been a long time since I updated here huh? Well I'm getting back into the swing of writing and hope to pick up this series again and keep it moving, fresh ideas are finally flowing. Kind of a short set up chapter here as I lay the grounds for the future, but I hope that this update is a happy sight for all and you can look forward to future updates.
