Chapter 3
Alice dubbed me as 'Bellsy', short for Bella is clumsy, since she has witnessed hundreds of my trips and falls over thin air and also over things like stairs and parking blocks. I thought I had gotten over my clumsiness a few years ago but I guess I was mistaken.
Who would have thought that my clumsiness would land me close to that one male body part I have never seen and touched in person before? The blood rushed to my cheeks as I realized what position I was in and the gorgeous man above me was still slack-jawed.
I scrambled to get up despite the stinging I could feel in both of my knees and started apologizing, "I'm so sorry!"
Forgetting that my foot was still tangled with the wire, I pulled but then proceeded to fall down a second time. I put my arms out in front of me to stop the weight of my fall but ended up grabbing soft muscle on the man's lap.
If his bulge was mere inches away from me before, it was touching me now. With me being curious about that specific part of the male anatomy, I unconsciously squeezed gently.
His voice was rough as he whispered, "I know you're beautiful and all, but I'd rather you get acquainted with my face first and then we can move on to that part later."
I gasped at the fact that I just harassed this man. I think I was in shock to the point that I froze on the spot. My mind reeled with the possibility of getting slapped with a lawsuit and how much it would affect my staff and the image of my company. He grasped my bicep and pulled me with him as he stood up. I just squeezed a stranger's dick! This was certainly not the way I envisioned my first time going.
The loop of the wire was still entangled with my foot and he bent down to remove it as I kept spewing out apologies for falling onto him and manhandling him.
Here I was keeping an eye on my team for any mistakes and ended up being the one to make it happen. Heels or not, someone was bound to trip over that loop of wire. I was just glad it was me and not a guest.
I saw Angela running straight toward us, looking a bit panicked at the sight of a small crowd gathering.
"I'm so sorry, sir. I should not have touched you like that. It was -"
"An accident," he cut in, "There was no harm done except the ones on your knees. You should get that checked out." He patted me on the shoulder before drawing his eyes to my knees. As I looked down to my knees, my eyes scanned his body on the way - covered in a white suit with the jacket ending only up to his hips, leaving an unobstructed view of his bulge that was tenting under the white fabric. I suddenly remembered how he felt under my hand - or actually, how a part of it felt, since my hand was not big enough to grab the whole thing.
"Ms. Swan!" Angela had finally arrived and immediately recognized me. She swept me away after instructing a rookie staff member to secure the wire so no further accidents would happen. Yeah, sure, fix that loose wire up so no one else accidentally manhandles a stranger. I swear this stuff only happens to me.
I was ushered by Angela away from the crowd - and away from the hot man - and into one of the 'personnel only' rooms to treat my chafed knees. I thought the fall was not that hard but it almost bled through my white jumpsuit. Alice was going to kill me if I injured one of her precious dresses.
"Do you know that man? The one I crashed into." I asked Angela while she was putting some cream on the wound.
"Bronze hair, green eyes, sex-on-a-stick man?" I nodded. "That's Edward Cullen. His family is old money. They own a private clinic but also built a public hospital for the less fortunate."
Edward. Cullen.
My best friend, Alice, is married to a Cullen.
Surely, they must be related?
Now I know what you're thinking, how could I not know, right? I met Alice in college, got out of touch for a few years, and then two years ago, I was looking for outfits to wear to my events and coincidently, she owned the store I was in, which led to our arrangement now. I only met her husband, Jasper Cullen, once. She'd always invite me to holidays and Sunday tea parties she held with Seattle's socialites but I always had work or made up excuses about work. I could handle Alice, but not other people.
I've always kept my circle small, like two to three people small. The saying 'the more, the merrier' sends me into panic mode. That's part of the reason why I never get to meet new people outside of work.
And I've just felt up Alice's brother-in-law.

I really love long chapters but I'm afraid I will only update every 3 months if I do lol so this stays as a drabble for now.
It's almost been a month since I posted the snippet and the first chapter and only one day has passed since I posted the second chapter!
Please tell me your thoughts (good or bad!) There may be a lot of narration for now but we'll get to the dialogue soon :)
Thank you for reading.
