A/N: That's the end for now. I still have to write the second epilogue, but I promise this chapter is a satisfactory ending. The next one is just going to explain a few loose ends. Hope you like the ending! There's a reference to one of my favourite series!

Life wasn't easy on the Potter-Snape family for a long time. They hadn't been able to find employment with the very public nature of their relationship — Severus had even lost his post at Hogwarts — and the money they managed to get came from writing and selling books about Potions. The books hadn't had a high selling rate in the UK, but it slowly became the standard for magic schools across the globe.

They also had gone abroad to participate in events, training, and courses, where they were often the teachers. It had helped them to survive and maintain their projects, but Harry had been sad that the UK still looked down upon them and refused to acknowledge the improvement they made on Potions techniques over the years.

That continued until his dear friends, Draco and Hermione, managed to become Headmaster of Hogwarts and Minister of Magic, respectively. Some people didn't like the idea that a married couple was holding all the power in the Wizarding World, but Harry knew they were both fair and just.

Draco immediately invited Severus back into his post, but he declined, claiming he was too old to deal with children. When Draco turned his pleading eyes to Harry, saying that they hadn't managed a decent Professor since Severus left, he hadn't had the heart to refuse.

And that was how Harry Potter became Potions Professor at Hogwarts and chose his own book to the syllabus. It might be a self-absorbed act, but only Harry and Severus knew how much effort they had put into the book, and how much it could help students.

Life changed again when they adopted Vanya, barely a year ago. Harry was away at Hogwarts most of the year, only seeing his daughter on weekends, so Severus had to contend with all the necessities of a toddler. He claimed to hate it, but Harry knew he was absolutely besotted with the girl.

Harry knew that his life was good. But, as he entered his father's house to enjoy Christmas, he knew it wasn't perfect.

It was good, he couldn't deny it. His father accepted his homosexuality and his relationship with Severus. He had never uttered a queer joke again, at least not in front of them. Harry felt safe to display affection to Severus in front of them, because James never showed any discomfort or hate towards them, not after they had talked at the Pride Parade.

His mom was also an awesome person. She had eventually divorced James, not being able to withstand his treatment of Harry. He knew that they still had some unresolved problems, but they never mentioned anything in front of him.

He couldn't say anything bad about the rest of his family or his friends. They had never left his side, and he loved them immensely.

The only thing that still hurt was Sirius and Remus, and that was a pain Harry knew he could never forget or forgive.

Sirius didn't tell stupid jokes or say stupid things anymore, and Harry suspected his father had some hand on it. He had even apologized to him, but about all the wrong things. They had never truly reconnected, never did they share the same friendship again. Sirius didn't have to say anything; Harry knew he wasn't happy about his life choices.

He had lost his godfather forever, and he mourned the man that he had once been. But at least he had apologized. Remus didn't even do that.

He stopped dwelling on depressing thoughts to show Vanya the Christmas tree and play with her until it was time for dinner. His little girl was enthralled by the fairy lights.

"Where's Teddy?" he heard Remus asking Tonks.

"He said he was going to run a bit late. He has someone to introduce to us."

Sirius looked over at them. "The boy finally managed to get a girlfriend?"

Harry tried not to roll his eyes. He thought about warning them, but didn't have the time to choose; Teddy entered the house seconds later with a boy around his age.

He knew them, of course. He had taught both of them and he had watched their relationship blossom; Teddy had gone over and over again to his office to ask for advice, much like Harry had done once with his mother. After they both had left Hogwarts, the relationship seemed to be firm enough to warrant introduction to the family.

"Guys, I'd like to introduce you to my boyfriend, Lorcan Scamander."

Remus gaped at them, completely stunned, and Harry couldn't help but smirk with vindictiveness. Remus might as well ignore him, but he couldn't ignore his son, not with Tonks right there. He would have to face his prejudices, one way or another.

Sirius squeaked in shock.

"What? So you're gay too?"

Teddy gave them a strained smile. "Yes, I'm gay too."

James welcomed them with a warm smile. "Nice to meet you, Lorcan. We're getting ready for dinner, please have a seat."

Their smiles were more genuine this time. "Thank you, James."

Severus exchanged a look with Harry, and they smiled too. James proved everyone wrong by showing he could act like an adult and responsible man.

Vanya had a small frown on her face, and she turned to the person next to her to speak her mind.

"Unca Remus, what is gay?"

Remus groaned. "Not that question again!"

Vanya looked baffled, and everyone laughed at that. Harry had to wipe his tears of laughter to scoop his daughter up.

"Gay is just a word to describe men that love each other, just like your Dad and your Pa. Got it?"

Vanya nodded seriously. "Word for love. Got it."

Harry smiled. His life might not be perfect, but he had never been happier with it.
