Chapter 11

"Now, before the bombardment of questions can start, I need to explain what happens when a Fae is turned and how it changes depending on who turned them. Take my sister, she was turned by a regular vampire. That means that she is basically a normal vampire with some extra powers. She will still have access to powers that are universally Fae based, but Light Fae specific ones," I look over to Sookie, "like our 'microwave fingers', is lost, because that is the power of the sun and would burn her as well. Now, before power was handed over, I told you how she put in a 'fail-safe' yes? There was more to the makers command than just that. It also made sure that you would act as a regular vampire, with all the same vulnerabilities until a time that either she or myself removed it." I had to let out a sigh, this was gonna be tricky. "But you just had to go and make things difficult." I had to chuckle and the slightly affronted look Godric gave me.
"And just how did I do that?" He asked me questioningly.
"By turning someone with Fae blood before we removed the block." I looked at Eric.
"I'm sorry, but what? Are you saying I'm Fae too? That just seems a bit convenient, don't you think?" Eric said with a voice dripping in sarcasm.
I chuckled. "You are just as Fae as Sookie's brother, which is to say not. You just have Fae in your family and had you produced children as a human, the spark could have shown up in your family line. Which brings me to how Godric made this difficult. Vampires are basically death. The Fae spark is for all intents and purposes, life. When he was turning you, the spark in him started to migrate into you, not the whole thing, maybe like ten percent. It was moving into 'life' so it could continue on. So now the two of you share the same spark." I looked between Sookie and Eric for a moment to see if the would catch on, alas they were a bit slow on the uptake, time for bombs to be dropped. "Do you really think that some Civil War vampire blood would really block out a whole Mate bond?"

I stopped breathing. Was he really saying what I think he was saying? "You mean…?"
"Think child, did you ever actually make physical contact with Godric before?" Niall asked when it looked like he already knew the answer. He was right.
"No. Not even in the cage when he saved me from Gabe."
Eric whipped his head around to me, "What cage and who is this Gabe that will not be living much longer?"
I looked into Eric's eyes, "Faepire history first, fixing my past/the future second. What was that Godric?" I asked after I heard some mumbling from him.
"You are my Mate, and I killed myself not even ten yards in front of you. No wonder there were tears." He got up and vamped out of the room. I was stunned by his reaction. But really not at the same time, he had been looking for 2000 years.
"Is there anyway to get him back?" I asked Niall. He snapped his fingers and Godric popped back into his chair from wherever he was just at.
"I have no idea what you just did to me, but never do that again." Godric said, leaning onto his knees with his head in his hands.
"It's only disorienting the first few times; you'll get used to it. So where was I? Oh yes. Turing Eric made the spark split, not evenly, but split all the same. So now, you two are a package deal to get all the benefits of being a Faepire." Niall chuckled. "But instead of just removing the block, a full bond must be formed, between all three of you." Grandfather took his time looking at each one of us, landing on me. "It is like I said before I gave you the Cluviel Dor, some of what you have been taught does not apply to you? Polyamorous relationships are fairly common in the Supe world. And I know these two vampires would have no problem with each other." He said with a wink. I looked over to Godric and Eric and noticed they both had bowed heads, and I swear that had they been human, they would have been blushing.
"Well, after this turn of events, I guess it's a good thing they are both hot," I say with a laugh to remove some of the tension in the room. Niall laughs while the two vampires jerk their heads up to look at me. "What? I always did wonder if there was more to what I felt around Godric than just 'he saved my life'."
"On that happy note Granddaughter-Mine, let's get back to what the boys, and I am sure you in the future, will be able to do. Basically, you will be Fae with added vampire strengths and a slight addition to your diet. You can eat regular food but will need blood as well. You won't smell like a full vampire anymore, just bonded to one. I can see this helping Sookie when the time comes, blending in and unless told, or saw her fangs, no one would know she turned. Same for Godric if he goes to an area where people don't know him." Granted that was unlikely for the Gaul. "Silver is just another pretty metal made for jewelry. Stake through the heart is fatal, but in all honesty, it would be fatal for anyone to get something shoved through their heart. Same with decapitation, everyone needs their head, well, maybe not Deadpool…" He left off with a smirk. "Basically, it comes down to having the strength of both with none of the weaknesses. Iron, lemon, silver, daylight, none of that will matter to you anymore. But as mentioned, just removing the block won't matter, completing the bond between the three of you will be necessary. And knowing what needs to be done in this area and elsewhere, turning Sookie should be top priority."
He looked at me with knowing eyes and I knew what needed to be done, but I had to know for sure. "I do know what is coming," I looked over to Godric, "but I also know that nothing is for certain, and you have a choice. It has been proven and seen by others that there is a connection between Eric and I." I held out my hand to Godric, "if you would like to make sure, or even if it proves true and you want nothing to do with me, I will respect your wishes." I know in my heart that I hope he can look past the sadness that was in his heart the first time that I met him.
Godric slowly stood up, and with a human pace walked over to me and knelt down. "After hearing this history and seeing with my own eyes what my actions would have brought, there is nothing more that I could want than to prove to you every day that this is not a mistake." With that, he grasped my hand and put the immense glow that had happened when I touched Eric for the first time in his office to shame. At that moment, Eric reached over and put his hand on my shoulder, making the glow brighter and even warm around us. There were no two ways about it, this was how it was meant to be.
Niall chuckled to himself. "I think I will see myself out now. Y'all have a good night. I would suggest that Godric and Sookie exchange tonight, then make the next two exchanges together." He stood up and walked over to me as the vampires let go. "You are extraordinary Granddaughter-Mine. Never forget that fact. If you ever have need of me, I am just a phone call away." He placed his hands on my cheeks and kissed my forehead before popping away.
There was nothing but silence in the room for many minutes. Finally, Godric cleared his throat. "Well, that was an enlightening conversation." He chuckled to himself. "If you are okay with it Little One, I would like to start the exchange?" Godric asked me hesitantly.
I looked between him and Eric. I stood up, walked over to him, wrapped my hands around his neck, looking into his eyes, "I would like nothing more."
