Chapter 7: Lovers' Dance
(My apologies for taking so long to finish this. I hope you enjoy the dance! Love to all, Spunky - aka Imatastyporkcutletbowl)
Yuuri accepted Victor's extended hand, and he climbed onto the bed and knelt at the Russian beauty's side, looking down at Victor's bared body with hungry, affectionate eyes.
"I remember the very first time that I saw you skating," he whispered, tracing Victor's body with soft fingertips as he spoke, "I was still little and I was taking dance lessons from Minako, but I didn't yet know how to skate. I saw you on TV. The first thing I noticed was that you looked beautiful, dancing on the ice. You were so graceful and every move you made looked so perfect. Then, I noticed your eyes…your expression. It looked like you were dreaming on your feet, and your dream was so vivid, so real, that you weren't the only one who could see it anymore. Your dancing ensnared everyone watching, so that none of us could look away. Whether a person loved you or hated you, they couldn't have torn their eyes away from you. You were that entrancing. That was the day that I decided…I wanted to dance with you, Victor."
A pretty flush spread over the elder man's face and throat, and he smiled and captured one of Yuuri's hands as it came to rest on a pale, lightly heaving breast.
"That's so precious, Yuuri!" he whispered back, kissing the tips of the Japanese man's fingers that had been stroking him.
Yuuri breathed in Victor's warm, masculine scent, leaning forward to place a kiss on the crown of the Russian's head. He laughed softly as Victor flinched self-consciously, and he scowled in reaction.
"Stop it!" Victor complained, "You say something so beautiful and then you tease me like that!"
"You're the one who is always teasing me," Yuuri chided him tenderly, "first with your skating, with your dancing and then with the stories you used your programs to tell. It felt like every new program was an adventure we had together. I mean, I knew that there were other people watching you and experiencing that too, but deep down, I felt something changing inside me. I felt like you had reached inside me and awakened something. I wanted to skate like you. I wanted someday to skate on the same ice as you and I wanted to be able to thank you for inspiring me. I was not a skater at all yet, but your skating awakened my own love for the sport. I started training because of you, and I poured all of myself into learning to skate the way you did. And even though you were far away and you didn't yet know me, it was like you were there in my head, inspiring me every step of the way, encouraging me so that I grew more and more skilled and confident. I knew that telling stories with your dancing was the way that you communicated what was inside you and I wanted most to be able to speak back to you in that same language."
He gave Victor a curious look and caressed his cheek comfortingly as the Russian's breath caught softly in surprise.
"What is it?" asked Yuuri.
"What you said just now," Victor reflected, "Yuuri, all along, I've always sort of felt that although I knew my skating spoke to people, I felt like all of them were missing some part of its message. It…it's hard to explain, but I think that they saw only the surface story, the outer dressing, but not the core that laid beneath it."
Victor's hands reached up to curve around Yuuri's warmly smiling face.
"You…you always saw more than that. I know you did. I know it because of how that core message called to you. Yuuri, I've spent my life devoted to skating and I'm not sorry for that. I love to skate, but even more than skating, I wanted someone to really understand me and love me, not just for what was on the surface, but for every little part of me…all of the good things and all of the bad things. But, I was always frustrated, because, how could anyone do that if nobody could even see me when they were looking right at me? You're different. I knew that from the moment you got drunk and grabbed me like that. I knew that there was no more waiting to be done. It was you. I'd been waiting for you, and if it wasn't you, then that person simply didn't exist. I was right, solnyshko, no one knows me and no one can love me like you do!"
Yuuri's already enchanting smiled warmed and spread across his face, lighting it beautifully and making Victor pull him down to kiss him voraciously as Yuuri settled on top of him.
"I'm sorry," Yuuri apologized between their long, biting kisses, "I guess that I've understood that for awhile now. I…I just couldn't believe it. Because, how could someone like me ever be the right person for someone like you?"
He pulled away for a moment to admire the flush that had swept over Victor's pale, lovely features.
"You shine so brightly," he whispered, cupping a palm around the Russian's blushing cheek, "I didn't think that I could measure up."
"But, you are the only one who does," Victor insisted, "Trust me, Yuuri, there is no one else like you. I've been looking for you forever and once I found you, I felt desperate to keep you here with me. Maybe it was my fault, then. Maybe I was too desperate and it drove you away from me."
"No," Yuuri said firmly, "I was just…always doubting myself. There never needed to be any doubts, anything to hold me back. I held myself back, because I just couldn't believe I was good enough. No matter how much I always wanted to be close to you, some part of me couldn't accept that I was the one you chose, out of the millions of people who love you."
"No one else loves me," Victor said, shaking his head firmly, "I told you, they don't even know me. They don't see the things about me that you do."
"I get that now," Yuuri assured him, kissing him tenderly on the forehead, then on the Russian beauty's smiling lips, "I'm sorry I took so long and hurt you so much while I was figuring it all out. It must have been hard for you."
"It wasn't easy for you either."
"But it's okay now. We're here in our home, and I'm finally ready to fill the spaces that you left for me in your life."
"Oh, Yuuri, I was hoping you'd say that! When you left, the house felt so empty. My heart felt even more empty. It just drove home that I had to have been right about you. There's no path to my future that doesn't have you in it. That's why I couldn't find a way to imagine moving forward without you."
"And I can't move forward without you," Yuuri reasoned, "I know that now."
"Yuuri!"
Yuuri smiled warmly and met his lover for another long, passionate kiss, then he unleashed a torrent of fiery kisses that stole the Russian legend's breath away.
There are so many stories about people falling in love, he thought as Yuuri's lips caressed every inch of flushed skin on his face and throat, then traced a fine collarbone, The details of the stories are different, but one thing seems to stand out. The greatest love stories are filled with the impossible…
A hungry moan escaped him and his back arched, shivers racing down his spine as Yuuri searching hands caressed white breast and soft belly and a scorching tongue found an already piqued nipple. Raging fever seemed to settle over every inch of the Russian's pretty flesh. He barely held onto his composure as Yuuri's lips trailed downward, following a line of silvery hairs to the part of him aching almost as fiercely as his heart for the Japanese man's touch. He groaned and gritted his teeth, panting in reaction as Yuuri's lips teased the hot flesh of his swollen erection, a little breath taunting him as his body threatened to come undone.
"Y-Yuuri!"
"I'm right here!" the slighter man hissed, pausing to taste the leaking evidence of the Russian's crumbling resistance, "I'm right here with you, Vitya!"
A tremulous smile found its way onto the reeling legend's lips and his voice shook when he answered.
"It's strange," he admitted as Yuuri's soft tongue teased and stroked him relentlessly, "You were the one who was scared before. Now, I'm the one feeling unsure."
"Why?" Yuuri asked, pausing and tilting his head to look up into Victor's love-hazed eyes, "Why would you feel afraid?"
"I suppose some part of me is afraid it's not real…that it's just another thing I've created in my mind to get through all of the waiting. I'm terrified I'm going to wake up and find out none of it was real…like the morning after the Grand Prix Final, when I went to your room to confront the man who had courted me so relentlessly and won my heart when you danced with me that first time. But, when I went there you were gone!"
"I'm sorry."
"I chased you all of the way to Japan, and when you acted surprised, I thought you were teasing me…"
"No."
"You were driving me insane, Yuuri! And these past few days have been unbearable! I was sure that you were leaving me."
Yuuri's cheek brushed tenderly against Victor's soft inner thigh.
"I'm not going anywhere," he promised, wetting his fingers in his mouth, then beginning a slow, thorough preparation, "I'm going to stay with you. You don't have to worry. From now on, every morning when you wake up, I am going to be there."
"There are so many things I want to share with you, Yuuri," Victor sighed, closing his eyes and angling his hips, moving with his lover's probing fingers to deepen the contact, "You've already shared your family with me, and your beautiful home in Hasetsu. Now, I want to share all of the best things right here!"
Yuuri crawled back up the elder skater's toned body, planting kisses all of the way, then he nudged Victor's thighs open wider and positioned himself for entry.
"I want that too, but I know that you've already shared the thing I'll treasure most."
"What is that?"
"Your beautiful heart," Yuuri sighed, pushing in slowly, watching his lover's face for any sign of discomfort, "You know, you're just like Maccachin, so full of love that it comes spilling out of you, and everything your love touches just shines more brightly."
"Yuuri!"
"I didn't shine my brightest until your love touched me. Now, I want to see what happens when I give my love back to you. You're already a star, but I want my love to make you shine like the sun, so bright that we won't be able to see anymore!"
Victor's chest swelled with emotion so full that it ached, but he barely noticed as the man on top of him began to move and he couldn't help but move with him. And it wasn't just being touched physically in a place he never had been before, Yuuri Katsuki's love reached a place in his heart that no one else's had. Heat flashed all over his writhing body as he met each of his lover's hard, fast thrusts, groaning as he felt himself being swiftly brought to the edges of the sweetest kind of oblivion.
The two men remained poised for a moment, there, then together reached a pinnacle of euphoria. They drew a long, hard breath in, then descended into hard shudders of an earthshaking release. And just like when they skated together, Yuuri's fingers remained tightly laced together with his and it seemed for a moment as though they weren't two people anymore, but one soul in two bodies, eternally locked and bound in a never ending dance.
It was easily the most spellbinding dance either man had ever performed, but only the two of them would ever see each other that way. It was an exchange so precious, neither wanted the moment to end, but they came down slowly, anchored tenderly in each other's arms, basking in the warmest glow as pleasure flowed away again, leaving them awash in sleepy satedness.
"You were right," Victor giggled, nuzzling Yuuri's flushed cheek, "That felt so good, I think I went blind from the pleasure."
"Me too."
Yuuri's head turned and his brown eyes found Victor's in the semi-darkness of the bedroom.
"Are you all right now? You seemed pretty overwhelmed before."
"Well, you surprised me…a lot," the Russian beauty chuckled, "I didn't know what to expect when we got here. I wasn't sure you were going to stay."
"Well, I will be staying with you for good, now," Yuuri promised.
"I'm glad," Victor sighed, "You've made me really happy, Yuuri."
Yuuri's eyes softened and he met Victor's lips lingeringly.
"Sorry it took longer for me to get here," he apologized, "All along, I kind of felt like I couldn't possibly be enough for someone like you. When I looked at you, I thought that you deserved a person who would shine brighter and be more than I ever could. It made me anxious and that's why I was overwhelmed before."
"But now you understand, don't you, solnyshko?" Victor purred, nipping at his lips hungrily, "You are the only person who could shine brightly enough, the only one who could ever be enough to fill the empty spaces in my life."
"And you're the only one to fill the empty spaces in mine," Yuuri answered, snuggling more tightly into Victor's comforting embrace, "We may love differently, but when we love each other, we are home."
"Yes," Victor agreed wholeheartedly, "we are home."
