![]() Author has written 6 stories for Ghostbusters, Doctor Who, RWBY, Harry Potter, and Wings of Fire, Tui T. Sutherland. Welcome to the home page of DetectiveSky612, a frequent-flyer newly accounted for on the site! Below, you'll find a description of all my OC (updated as I release content) and their various stories and equipment. Enjoy! Table of Contents: - Faraday Ghostbusters - Dimension Travellers - Making a Sword - Magic EXE: The Video Game - Miscellaneous (Wattpad, Event Requests, Timelines, Betaing) -= The Faraday Ghostbusters =- After a parapsychologist and an engineer document a ghost, they are kicked out of Oxford in spite of the gadgets and scientific advancements they've made. - Gadget Dictionary - - Faraday High-Voltage Electric Beam Apparatus: The Faraday Pack, Mark I. Because nuclear power hasn't been invented yet, the state-of-the-art anti-supernatural gadgets use high-voltage electricity released from a canti-Tesla coil. The high voltage required is supplied by a flywheel on a motor attached to a small pump generator on the handheld part. The rest is a standard DC-generator setup. It's cased in a black wooden shell, is very bulky, heavy, and large, and the wearer is uninsulated against the high voltages generated by the pack. - Faraday Cathode Beam Spectre Elimination Apparatus: The Faraday Pack, Mark II. The Beam Coil has been moved to a spring-loaded, fold-out arm on the pack itself, and the thrower is now dominated by a modified cathode ray tube. The flywheel not only runs the batteries for the Beam Coil, but those for the Faraday Cathode Ejector and its air pump as well. The casing for this pack is unfinished, although the base of the pack includes insulation against electricity, and the DEARS put Faraday cages and insulators on the jumpsuits to protect against pack insulation failure as well. -= Dimension Travellers =- A thousand-year-old half-dragon meets a dimension-hopper who's really himself from a parallel universe. Trans-dimensional hijinx ensue. - Dramatis Personae - - Jack Grayson (Jack): The veteran of the Great Purge of Humanity, and protagonist of Dragonheart (Find it on Wattpad by DetectiveSky612). Can shapeshift between human, dragon, and half-dragon forms. In his human form, he has brown hair, green eyes, and wears a red shirt, a hooded sweatshirt with a white torso and grey everything else, jeans, black sneakers, and a small pendant, known as the Dragonheart Crystal. In his dragon form (which is tetrapedal, by the way), he has teal scales, green eyes, and a tail spike reminiscent of an ankylosaur. He carries a grudge against Quintus Iucundus for trying to kill him twice, and he mourns the loss of his people. - Jack Grayson (Torrent): A dimension-hopping physics break in human form, Jack walked into adventure and the realms of fiction when he met Marinza, the last dragon on his Earth, and Terminus, god of boundaries. He saved both fictional worlds and his own, attempting (and failing) to master the Starclimber. He wears a grey graphic tee with BatCat on it, a blue hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and sneakers. Shortly after creating his sword at Beacon Academy, he also ventured into the wrong side of the universe and became a unicorn. He kept the horn when he migrated out, but even so, he's grown from being embarrassed by it to liking it… - Jack Grayson (Cogs): Essentially the same as Jack, though he resorted to clockwork instead of magic. Cogs also didn't perform as well under the stress of having almost single-handedly destroyed the world indirectly. As a result, he is slightly bipolar and prone to PTSD. - Gadget Dictionary - The Starclimber: A time-travelling starship that Torrent discovered in his first adventure in Hyrule. Despite being armed almost to the teeth, it is quick and maneuverable, and the bunk wing and cargo-locker wing with the addition of plasma cables and a Time Rotor make this one-of-a-kind Voidhopper-class spacecraft an adventurer's dream. Naga - Mark II: This sword is the only thing common to all three Jacks, although it is very different in each incarnation. This model, Torrent's Remnant-engineered sabre, can withstand impossible amounts of force and stay sharp until eternity passes or the Starclimber is destroyed (whichever comes first). Did I mention the mechashift? Clockwork Revolvers: Cogs' long-ranged alternative to Naga and weapon of choice, this pair of revolvers is rather unique. The guns are made of brushed bronze and wood, around the size and general shape of a NERF Maverick REV-6, and utilize a clockwork setup to rotate the drum. Ammunition is hard to find in Cogs' world, however, as guns have mostly fallen out of use, so twelve-gauge deer slugs are somewhat hard to find. -= Making a Sword =- The origin story of Torrent's sword in Dimension Travellers. Jack needs a sword, and promptly crash lands at Beacon Academy, enrolling somewhat last-minute-ly. He gets a team, forges a sword, and discovers a plot to destroy Beacon. What results is just another day for a dimension-hopping physics break… - Dramatis Personae - - Leara Ternvers: A vengeful Huntress-in-training at beacon to become better at combatting the Grimm. She wears a grey shirt, beige pants, a blue sash slung from her left shoulder to her right hip and back across her... well... back, and an assault-rifle-magazine ammo belt worn opposite her sash, carrying both standard ammo and different types of Dust ammo. She is practically Athena in human form, as she excels at combat prowess and skill, yet all her bristles on the outside belie a friendlier interior. - Marinza Mysheri: Jack's long-time-not-seen dragon pal, flung through a rift by Terminus and reassembled by ambient rift energy into a human-like form. She wears a black T-shirt (with holes ripped for her wings) and jeans, to retain maneuverability and make room for her wings. And tail. Yes, she's a faunus. Her weapon of choice is a pair of Dragonfury Gauntlets. Marinza is very hyper and more of a weapons geek than Jack, starting to come on par with Ruby. She is carefree nonetheless, and remains protective of her familial groups, no matter what. - Silver Pierce: The first person to stumble across Marinza, Silver mistook Jack's old friend for another student hopeful. She wears a grey t-shirt with a natural-palette smear on the front, a white hoodie, and beige pants with dark blue sneakers. Her weapon of choice is a Dust grenade launcher that can transform into a .50 machine gun as well. She speaks with a rural Mistralean accent (Which sounds somewhat like a Scottish one), and hates being made fun of, mistaken, or manhandled. She is friendly, though a bit... to-the-point. - Gadget Dictionary - Turnpike: Leara's naginata-and-assault-rifle combo. It is equipped with simple but sophisticated mechashiftability, telescoping between an inactive form, an assault rifle reminiscent of a scoped AK-47, and a naginata with a sniper rifle built-in. DakBoomstick: Named as a play-on-words between common surname prefixes and weaponry onomatopoeia, DakBoomstick is a grenade launcher that mechashifts into a .50 machinegun. Silver carries both standard and Dust-infused variants of both weapons' ammunition. Dragonfury Gauntlets: Nicknamed Dragonfury, this pair of steel gloves come equipped with a set of Wolverine-style blades, two flamethrowers mounted underneath the wrists, and two .50-caliber machine guns mounted above the thumbs. -= Magic EXE: The Video Game =- Alabaster Dresden apparently signed up to beta test one of those new mega-crossover MMOs, but he can't remember anything about any contracts... Or his identity, for that matter. Join him as he quests, blunders, and battles evil through the main questline: Harry Potter. - Dramatis Personae - - Alabaster Dresden: This ordinary-teen-turned-MMO-hero-turned-wizard has absolutely no idea who he is, though Dominic's texture says it has something to do with steampunk. He grasps the concept of MMOs like a sword, and he has definitely used (and abused) his last scraps of knowledge of J.K. Rowling's magic system and Latin. - Gadget Dictionary - - Server Link: Alabaster's bronze-and-clockwork holoprojector sprite, nicknamed Dominic, who provides our hero with all the HUD elements he needs. Silent, yet witty, this automaton won't speak unless spoken to. - Alabaster's Wand: A marvel of modern wizarding, Alabaster's wand was choosy when it came to wizards. Thirteen inches long, with a shaft of dogwood and a core of phoenix feather, it chose a somewhat quiet Alabaster, despite most dogwood wands choosing noisy wizards. Maybe it can see something Alabaster doesn't normally shout to the world... - Soundtrack - Although event-specific tracks are listed in the fic itself, here's some good leitmotif guidelines for Magic EXE. Alabaster's Waltz: Smoke and Mirrors, by Robert Buckley -= Misc. =- - Requesting an Event - Want something to happen in Magic EXE or Dimension Travellers? Just get back to me via review or PM, and I'll do my best to work it in! - Beta Reading - I've registered myself as a beta on the site. If you want to request my services, just take a look at my beta profile at the top of the page. - Wattpad - The majority of my work on this site ties into work I've done on Wattpad. Just search up "DetectiveSky612" on the site to see what I've done. - Quidditch League - As of June 2017, I'm a member of the Quidditch League Fanfiction Competition! Look for me as the Kenmare Kestrels' Seeker! - Complete Timelines - As of this moment, there are two universes/timelines I've been writing in over my career. A -- indicates a different timeline (They all diverge and Dragon Break at various points.) Here it is: Magic EXE Timeline: - Magic EXE - Harry Potter series (MEXE joins in a ways into Sorcerer's/Philosopher's Stone.) Dragonheart Timeline: - Faraday Ghostbusters -- Normal History -{ circa 1886 - Dragonheart, Acts I-III (On Wattpad) -- Making a Sword -{ 2014-2015 - DH: Continued Adventures -- New Beginnings (On Wattpad) -{ 2015-2765 - Dimension Travellers: Hopping the Void -{ 2765/2016 |
