my only current long-term project is my current genderbender series featuring a female lex--cleopatra "leo" luthor. after all, who says women can't be deliciously evil arch-villains too?

while this work is a compilation and continuation of medie's someday series and pepperjackcandy's the heart of king, i will be taking the series in my own direction soon enough, using the show's canon as a jumping off point (though i'll probably switch the order of some of the episodes around for my own creative purposes).

while the series is based on a female lex, i'll attempt to present a balanced account from both leo's and clark's perspective. while leo is a female lex, i will also strive to make her an independant, stand-alone character that isn't merely a carbon copy of canon lex.

as to the question of whether leo and clark ultimately wind up "together":

the answer is... a little complicated.

the line between love and hate can be blurry--the hatred of a lover scorned can be very powerful. while i love clark and leo, both characters are highly flawed, and those flaws can give rise to friction and conflict. will they be able to overcome those flaws to find true love, or will those flaws doom them to become resentful, bitter enemies?

that’s the central character issue i’m trying to resolve in this fic, and i won’t have the answer myself until i’m done.
