A story about a little less "noble and selfless" Subaru. The story starts in arc 6 (so minor spoilers) but will have Subaru sent back in time after receiving many buffs and If memories through contracts with Satella and Volcanica. This is no crackfic even if it sounds like one and I try my best to stay lore-friendly.

5. Chapter 5

Authors notes: Authority of lust Subaru new authority

Active: the beautiful smile of your lover

Enables Subaru to revoke any and all conditions that might render individual unable to smile such as mental trauma or permanent physical damage as long as he/she do not suffer death Subaru is capable of healing any and all injuries the drawback however he takes said conditions upon himself

Passive: the loving embrace of your lover

Subaru is able to passively heal himself but just about the damage done to him will never be permanent but it takes between a day to a week to recover from major wounds (same as his cursed arm and leg but now on all body) at the same time Subaru's body heat is able to smoothen raging emotions of those who are in his embrace changing emotions from depression or sadness to one off love or lust depending on individual

Passive: love has no boundaries

Subaru is capable of impregnating anything with a pulse be it human or not this is more a joke from my side but I believe anyone who had authority of lust had this ability in one form or another as existence of demi-humans is a thing and they are able to breed with humans

Authorities out of the way I got myself a beta reader by the name of VisitorN so hopefully my chapters will have less typos, other mistakes and be more pleasant to read.

Beta readers note: (although I'm more akin to an editor of sorts) I've started revising the older chapters but will take some time to finish so you'll have to endure a bit longer while I catch up. (Slothful, I know)

Now without further adue let's get into it

Chapter 5: The hunt of the Ages

The army began to assemble itself near Flügel's tree. It was still day time as result everyone had some time to relax and prepare for the fight to come. Next to the tree stood Subaru, Beatrice, Shaula, Meili and Rem.

"Master, master look, look how big it got it was sooo tiny back then" said Shaula as she was jumping around with her hands stretched wide.

"Will you stoooop jumping about" said Meili as she was struggling on keeping herself on Shaula's shoulders

"It's truly a magnificent sight" said Rem looking at the top off the tree

"And now it's done" said Subaru with a big smile and nodding it self

"What is it that you write there in fact" said Beatrice with annoyed expression looking at a small graffiti Subaru left on the tree

"It says Flügel is a twisted bastard who left Shaula alone and next part says each and everyone's names here this is yours Beatrice" said Subaru as he pointed at the graffiti

"Ok those are names I suppose but what is that last part" said Beatrice as she looked at the last part this got attention from everyone

"It says happy friends and family when we are all together" said Subaru with a small nod.

This got Beatrice to grab his hand and Shaula to just crash into him from behind with a hug saying "master makes me happy"

Rem was about to say something but Subaru pointed her name on the tree saying that's hers as result Rem forgot anything she was about to say and was just looking at the words.

"I've never seen writing of this type" she said confused.

"It's my hometowns language and Flügel here used the same one as me" said Subaru with a shrug.

At this revelation rem looked at Subaru and asked "where is that hometown of yours it must be famous for having 2 sages hailing from it" said rem with a bit off confusion

"Name Japan place you never heard off husin of the wastes was from there as well btw" said Subaru with a small chuckle this made rem look at him with widened eyes she looked at others around him and no one seem to care or pay attention to it

"Betty's contracts hometown is way beyond anything you can even begin to imagine it's unsurprising that so many people hailing from there end up known in history in fact" said Beatrice with a prideful nod

"Master is amazing so place that he grown up must be amazing as well" said Shaula without a hint off irony in her voice

Meili just waved it off saying "I didn't paid attention to it what's important is that he's here that's it" said little loli who jumped off Shaula's shoulders and onto Subaru's shoulders and placed her chin on his head with a small smile

Subaru now with Shaula glued to his back Beatrice holding his hand standing next to his side and Meili sitting on his shoulders and using his head to rest her own chin was something that attracted attention from good few people including certain old man who Subaru noticed and after few small talks with the girls he went to old man alone

"I see you enjoying the flowers you must like them" said Subaru to old man who turned to see the boy approach " Subaru-dono might I know why you wish to speak with this old man " said Wilhelm as he looked at Subaru with bit respect and gratitude for telling him about her wife's condition

"It's just a old habit I developed over the years " said old man as he looked back to flowers field nearby

"She must loved them then as result you end up loving them too I suppose " said Subaru as he sit next to old man who looked at Subaru with bit suspicion

"It's easy moment you love someone you end up loving things they do as well and I just don't see you loving flowers unless she was one dragging you to them " said Subaru with a chuckle as he imagined Wilhelm being dragged to watch the flowers

At this old man had a nostalgic and warm smile and responded "you're right about that. You seem to know a thing or two about love"

"For better or worse yes I do" said Subaru without a hit of sarcasm.

"Say old man why do you swing your sword" asked Subaru looking at Wilhelm with serious expression

Wilhelm looked at his hands and made fist "to remember my wife" he said with sad expression on his face

"Not to honor memories of her?" said Subaru looking at old man who then turned to him and said "I was never good with words" said old man with a chuckle

"It took me too long to be any good with them myself" said Subaru as he was chuckling remembering times where he always lacked words at critical times

"You seem good with them now" said old man looking at Subaru" same as a sword you train it over and over again eventually you get better "said Subaru and old man agreed to this statement

But then Wilhelm took a deep breath and strengthened his resolve" tell me sage who are I am supposed to point my sword to if that beast is not fully responsible for her death as you said" said the old man with a hint of anger in his voice.

"At the witch cult as a hole eventually you find one responsible but know this you will never win against them if you fight them just for revenge" said Subaru as he was beginning to stand up

This got old's man attention he then looked at Subaru in wander "then for what other reason can I swing my sword if it's not just revenge?" Asked the old man looking at Subaru

"To honor and protect the fruits of your love with your wife what more reason do you need?" said Subaru as it's a matter of a fact

This got old man to thinking and he said "I will think about what you said but before that I have score to settle with that beast" said old warrior who stood up from the ground with a renewed determination in his eyes there was not more needed to say

As Subaru was returning back to his companions he noticed Crusch signaling towards him to come close

"I need to ask at what time precisely will the beast come that be good to know for troops morale as they getting nervous" said Crusch looking at Subaru

"well it will be coming just as the sun will be hitting horizon but I can give you few minutes off time as heads up you will hear this thing start to make noises and you will know that in next 5 minutes he will be here" said Subaru as he showed his phone to Crusch then she nodded her head and began to assemble her units in formation for there was not that much time left

But as Crusch was trying to get her troops in position there was one soldier who was struggling to mount his ground dragon and he was getting increasingly agitated by this

"Will you listen already you dam beast" said solder as he kicked sides off the ground dragon she in turn kicked him off herself using her tail and simply stood there with a head held height

"What's the matter solder" asked Crusch as she was approaching the soldier who is now on the ground under feet of the ground dragon

"This ground dragon refuses to listen to commands it was already a struggle to get her here but now it got even worse" said the soldier looking at Crusch

"This ground dragon is known for its prideful demeanor and if they don't accept you they stop listening to you looks like you lost her respect along the way" said Crusch as she was walking towards the dragon who then stepped away from soldier Subaru upon seeing the commotion noticed the ground dragon in question and she speed walked towards it

"Well we can't have her in battle if she can't behave" said Crusch with a long sight

Subaru was about to walk right next to the ground dragon but Crusch stopped him "I'd be careful if I were you. Ground dragons can get quite aggressive if not handled properly." said Crusch but Subaru just smiled at her and keep on walking

He come close to the dragon and extended his hand towards her she then snuggled into his hand " Patrasche it's good to see you girl " said Subaru as he begins to pet the ground dragon's scales in an affectionate manner he then turned to Crusch and said

"I take her if you don't mind" Crusch was about to say how bad off idea it is but Subaru just jumped on top off the dragon and she was behaving without any issues

"I never seen someone one to get onto one off her kind so fast before have you meet her before" said Crusch and Subaru responded "it's just me and her get along really well for we have similar traits of taking care of those we care for" said Subaru as he gently petted Patrasches head and she made a roar of approval

"Seeing you get along with her so well I say you can keep her" said Crusch as she shakes her head and Subaru with Patrasche ride away leaving sad soldier on the ground in the dust

Now Subaru went to Beatrice who immediately recognized the ground dragon and just walked up to her she then stared at the ground dragon

"don't throw me off I suppose" said Beatrice looking at the dragon "there's no way she will do something like that, Patrasche is a good girl" said Subaru as he explained his hand to pick up Beatrice who then got on top off the ground dragon's back without issues

"she's only consider you she tolerates other's as long as it's beneficial to you that's how she always was, in fact" said Beatrice as she snuggled into Subaru chest.

"But you two will get along soon I believe you will" said Subaru with a caring smile this got Beatrice and Patrasche to look at one another for a moment and look away in silent agreement that was left unsaid

As Subaru now mounted on ground dragon Shaula with Meili come up and said "I think he is coming and he just waking up so we might want to give him a wakeup call" said Meili as she was consenting on her divine protection to read beasts mood before beast even showed up

"don't worry he will get one soon" said Subaru as he petted Meili's head and told Shaula to keep her safe

Crusch now finished forming her troops was waiting for a signal and before long the song from the phone started this got Crusch to get everyone on guard but then she looked towards Subaru who was staring at the tree top waiting for it then he lifted his hand and pointed his finger toward it

"I think he is getting here few minutes earlier" said Subaru to this Crusch looked where he is pointing but can't see anything other than small black dot in the sky who was slowly getting bigger and bigger "troops get ready for combat it's coming" said Crusch in strong voice for all soldiers to hear pointing her finger at the beast who then noticed the beast themselves

Yet the beast was getting bigger and bigger and bigger before long they all seen the sheer size off the thing for it was massive

And this colossal monster of a beast fly right pass then observing and mocking them to this all troops where terrified at she sheer size off thing and where having second thoughts

But then Subaru let out a battle cry so loud and powerful that troops look at the boy with bit of awe and even Crusch was frightened by it as the roar from Subaru was amplified by wind magic and boosted with witch miasma something beast must respond to in kind and in turn beast let out earth shattering roar

"It's on now let's go" said Subaru as he changed off towards the beast Crusch seeing him took but a moment to compose her self and issued her own cry to war " troops follow that mad man " as she charge off following Subaru and all troops soon followed her

As Subaru was in front off the army's formation he took liberty to cast few spells namely minya even if it's don't do much it helped for morale of troops as they shoot out night banisher to make night into a day and soon old man Wilhelm got on the beast and started to hacking and slashing it in reality specific way as instructed by Subaru soon all troops joined in this way for they all know they need to cut off beasts skin before magic can do it's thing

And so they cut and cut peace by peace bit by bit attempting to peal off it's skin but a skin proven to be a little to tick

" This will take some time alright " said Wilhelm as he cut off a larger chunk off skin and send it flying down to the ground

Subaru seeing as they got to work cutting the best went over to Crusch who was watching troops fighting

" you certain that if we attacked with magic right now beast will be unharmed " she asked looking back towards the boy

"The attack I did before was evidence you needed to see for yourself why we must cut skin first" said Subaru with a shrug

" I seen that attack and it seemed like it did some damage im not" Crusch was contemplating Subaru's attack and can't seem to notice

" that attack should spread like poison but it never happened that's why it's was ineffective in fact " said Beatrice raiding with Subaru to confused Crusch who now had a look of understanding as she noticed the purple shards falling out off the beast Subaru's earlier attack

" It's seems we in for a long one here " said Crusch with narrow eyes

" Not necessarily soon one side off beast will be peeled off sufficiently to have some damage from magical attacks all we need is angle the best in a way to hit him there " said Subaru with raised eye brow

As Subaru said it was Wilhelm who was roaring as large peace of beasts skin fallen off the whale this got a large cheer from the troops who soon began to combine it's efforts in cutting all around same area and casting magical attacks to peeled off area as per instructions

Seeing as he started to take some serious damage to it's side beast being to violently trash around trying to shake off people on him only for old man Wilhelm to get even more enraged and cut the beast more

" I think we might need to prepare for stage 2 of this operation soon " said Subaru as he looked into specific location not far away from the tree and casted " blanket " spell to provide some hidden area to fall back to

" Crusch you see area where Felix was in event beast cast his fog send troops there immediately " said Subaru as he pointed toward empty space

" But there's no one there " said Crusch with a raised eyebrow

" if you get to that tree you be in one off my spells effects range making you invisible to anyone outside off it " said Subaru to now wide eyed Crusch " I should not underestimate capabilities of a sage " said Crusch as she smirk looking at boy who got bit annoyed and said " this spell have nothing to do with sage stuff this is my own creation " said Subaru bit annoyed at this Crusch was bit confused

" I hate whenever someone puts unrealistic images of me due to my title and my own achievements are my own and not sages ones " said Subaru looking straight into Crusch eyes with small irritation

Crusch noticing his behavior realize that he hate the title sage for whatever reason she wasn't too sure " understood Subaru " said Crusch with a nod

As this exchange was happening the beasts side skin was almost peeled off and Crusch noticing it ordered the all troops to back away and mages to begin the bombardment off the beast

As troops jumped off the beast Crusch launched her own attack and hit beast right where skin was peeled off soon after mages hit it with the barrage off spells and a huge explosion took place

" looks like your mages missed the mark or beast got smarter and moved his damaged side away from attacks " said Subaru with a small smirk to Crusch who was narrowing her eyes

" beast's instincts or he is smarter then we though" said Crusch looking at the big whale with her narrowed eyes

" Probably a bit off both and after getting small tip that his side will hurt really bad if magic attack hits there it's no wander " said Subaru in amusement as he looked towards Crusch who then looked back to him and pointed her own finger at her self " you think my attack made it realize " she said with a bit of confused look

" Not just your attack but other attacks where done to this spot troops where targeting that spot in particular and beast learned and adapted " said Subaru smirking to him self then turned towards Crusch and said " call in your troops to the tree now he is going to make fog " Crusch seeing Subaru confidence in this entire situation cant help but be reassured that everything will be fine and she just have to do her part and so she did

She signalled her troops back to the tree just as the beast begin to create his fog yet troops where fast and where already good distance away from beast but the fog was quickly gaining on them

"Looks like it's your time to shine " said Subaru as he hugged small little girl from behind who was muttering to her self for a good amount off time with closed eyes but now she slowly opened her eyes

" it's ready in fact " said Beatrice with determination in her eyes looking straight at the beast Subaru then signaled petrache to change forward into the fog witch she did

As Crusch was observing beast's fog closing on her troops and she laughed some off her attacks at the fog trying to slow it down but it's wasn't doing much she then noticed Subaru charging straight towards it and was about to shout to make him stop but then she heard his voice

"E.M.T. BURST" shouted Subaru just as he was about to enter the fog and something like barrier formed around him but then that barrier expanded rapidly in a direction off a fog eliminating the fog it self and soon fog was no more but the barrier collapsed almost immediately as well at this she also noticed how that barrier nullified the night banisher making it the night time now

She then looked back towards her own troops who just vanished next to the tree and went toward that location as well and when she entered the area of effect of blanket spell she realized how bad the situation actually is for there's where plenty of wounded but then she heard a screeching sound coming from the best and had a strong headache as result but not just her everyone was affected by it some more so then others

"Felix can you undue this effect " said Crusch holding her own head and Felix immediately went to her and got her better in a hat beat " I can undue this but not as fast as I did so now it will take long time for me to get everyone back in the fight " said Felix as he begin to treat everyone around him

Crusch looked at where Subaru was and see that 3 white whale's where chasing him but he on his ground dragon that was amplified with murack spell and other spells to make dragon more agile and faster where not so easy to pin down by massive beast's she narrowed her eye's at this

" if he falls there we are done for if he didn't went in when he did them beasts be on us right about now" said Crusch looking at the scenery with narrowed eyes

" had he predicted everything that will happen up till now to the detail " said Crusch muttering to her self

Crusch then looked at her army's general and said " what's army's condition " she said with serious expression

" more then 2 / 3 of troops are wounded and exhausted as well as incapacitated but none are dead " responded army's general with a serious expression

Crusch then looked around her self and noticed that there's small fog like effect around her " is this fog like effect due to spell he used to hide us " she said still looking at her incapacitated troops and army's general responded

" We already confirmed but yes this is indeed a spell from sage and it hides us from outside " said the general in a bit off a wander

Crusch nodded to this and looked back to Subaru who was riding petrache who was running on top of one whale's and Subaru wielding his whip aiming at something as she looked closer she managed to make out what he was aiming for it was Wilhelm who was on the ground about to be swallowed by other whale but Subaru managed to pull old man out from the jaws of a beast just as the beast almost swallowed him hole and with application of murack he launched the old man back to the tree

" You two grab sword demon and inspect his condition " ordered Crusch to the troops next to her who where on stand by

" Rest follow me he can't survive on his own for long like that " said Crusch as she took off running towards the beast but what she failed to notice is that only small number followed her into a battle

As she ran over she directed few soldiers to attack one beast at same time sending her wind blade into side of other making it fly away for a moment and soldiers did the same as well

" Subaru how it's looking " asked Crusch to now landed Subaru who was observing something

" I seen worst then this it's actually not that bad " said Subaru as he was sighting

" ohh tell me then how we can beat this " said Crusch intrigued " allow me to teach you something here today Crusch there's nothing that is impossible and nothing that is not doable all you need is knowing off how to make impossible into possible " said Subaru as he looked back to Crusch with a smile this earned even more off curiosity from Crusch Subaru then said " watch closely for a hero being inspired by demons it's not something you can see every day " said Subaru as he runs away from Crusch towards a certain area

As Subaru ran Crusch seen that little spirit jumped off the ground dragon and was flying towards other side off tree and not far away from that tree was blue haired maid that had bit ice spear aimed at beast but not firing and there she seen shaula who she completely forgotten about standing not to far away from blue maid

As Subaru jumped on ice spear maid launched it towards the whale Crusch could only follow Subaru as he fly right next to it and roared into whale's face and whale in turn attempted to swallow him but he was already falling down and whale was chasing him towards the ground as he got grabbed by chains and was pulled in by blue maid on back off petrache who then made a fast run towards a certain direction and then " Do it now! " shouted Subaru as the bottom of a tree exploded sending entire tree on top off the whale and as the wind from the impact blew almost everything away that was close by Crusch cold only watch in amazement as beast was buried under that tree and Subaru in air holding his hat in his hand pulled out a golden sword

Something she needed to take double look at for she could not believe her eyes that sword was divine sword something only sword saint can have or weld and yet here it is

And Subaru just throw that sword towards the ground in front off Wilhelm van Astrea " Show me the sword play that your wife fallen in love with " said Subaru as he stretched his hand towards old man and whispered "cor lionis" seeing the divine sword before him and the beast who harmed his wife Wilhelm didn't hesitated for he Charged at the best picking up the sword on the way there and as he did he felt so much strength coming into him it made him feel like he is young again

And so the sword demon with divine sword was born again and unleashed it's fury upon the beast And soon beast was no more for he let out his last breath just as old man stabbed it's head and soon afterwards he was crying and screaming his wife's name and saying how much he loves her unbeknownst to him Subaru was still in air due to effects of murack and he was recording everything with his phone that he modified just for this occasion to have best video quality possible

And afterwards he landed next to old man and said " well done Wilhelm I trust that your wife will appreciate seeing you like this "

Noticing the boy old man pulled out the divine sword from the beast's corpse and handed it back to him " I don't know how but I believe it's yours " said old man with a bit off a wander

" Well technically it is but I can't use swords at all " said Subaru as he was shrugging his shoulders this got old man bit confused

" Then how " he asked looking back to the sword and back to the boy " I swindled it from ghost of reid astrea " said Subaru with a chuckle. This remained old man his own time with his wife as he took away the sword from her and began to chuckle as well but said chuckling soon turned into full blown laughter of joy and tears at this point even Crusch announcement of him defeating the best was lost to old's man laughter and soon he looked at Subaru and said " you might be more similar to me then I realized " said old man looking at the boy with warm eyes

" it's a honor mister Wilhelm " said Subaru as he picked up the sword from old man and pushed it inside his hat disappearing from sight Crusch made her way towards the boy as asked " was that sword divine sword " said Crusch with a bit off a wander

" Yes it is there's two off them one is given to sword saint line other well let's just say you need to see sage about getting it " said Subaru with mischief in his eyes

Crusch now was convicted without shadow of a doubt that he is the current sage no matter how ridiculous this statement sounded to her she just couldn't deny it anymore even she must acknowledge it even if she chose not to in the beginning for she was only pretending to see him as sage to this Crusch now bowed and said " I massively misjudged you sage my apologies " said Crusch to annoyed boy

" I prefer if you stop calling me sage and call me by name and if you want I give sage title to you free off charge " said Subaru as he was shaking his head in mild irritation and bit shyness in his voice something Crusch and Wilhelm picked up on to this they begin to laugh

And so the fight with the Beast was put to the end Subaru made shaula to cut beasts head off and gather for briefing with rest off the crowd

" But I must ask Subaru-niisan why you didn't asked shaula to take care off the whaley " asked meiling with tilted head

" if we did so the achievement of this kill be squarely on her and Emilia's camp and the deal was to share the achievement between camps " said Subaru with a finger pointing in air as rest of a group especially Crusch looked at Subaru

" can she take down the whale by herself " asked Crusch pointing at happy looking half naked woman who was blissfully chewing some leftover food from her campsite

" she can in about a minute if she even half serious " responded Subaru with a smirk

Crusch then swallowed her own salvia and said " is she the same shaula who is said to guard the tower " asked Crusch still in a bit off disbelief of a company she found herself in

" yes she is and for a long time people called her sage but she never was one she is sages apprentice as I said before " said Subaru with understanding look

" Yes I remember but I just wanted to make sure for something like that to be the truth it's bit hard to swallow " said Crusch in resignation

" Trust me Crusch revelation about shaula is nothing in comparison to other stuff I know " said Subaru as he giggled and hugged his little spirit who was sitting on his laps and she in turn hugged him back with a blissful expression silently whispering " you didn't forget to give my hugs for a job well done in fact " said Beatrice in quiet whisper something Subaru picked up on but said nothing as he just petted her head with his hand and curled her into his embrace something from outside could only see as if father curled in his daughter into a small hug but people from Emilia camp where already way used to this and said nothing

As from Crusch camp people where shocked but said nothing as well and Crusch simply left it be as well

" I must say as heart warming as display between you two are but might we proceed towards matter at hand the one you needed my troops " said Crusch with a bit off a blush on her face and small smile as she was close to screaming to them all of how cute this is but she must not act like woman

Beatrice was about to say something but she got pulled in by Subaru as he said " don't worry Crusch this is just me and beako thing you get used to it as for matter at hand well yes but " said Subaru as he looked back to wounded and exhausted men

" I understand how this looks but there's only few men who got seriously injured at same time we suffered no casualties we can deploy a sizable number for your mission " said Crusch to this Subaru looked at her with raised eyebrows

" don't they need to rest " he asked and Crusch said " they can recover in about single day " said Crusch with what can be described as pride in her face

" unfortunately that will not be the case for my mission will have no way off succeeding if I delay by day " said Subaru with a sight

Crusch narrowed her eyes and said " I must take you by your word if you say that you must not delay even for a day but how much will you be able to do with what few we can spare " said Crusch as she looked at few off her soldiers who where more less ready to go into battle again

" don't worry there's reinforcement coming up soon oh look they over there " said Subaru as he pointed toward clouds of dust on the road Crusch looked into direction where it's coming from and remembered the reserve of half of Anastasia's iron fang group

" Had you predicted this as well " said Crusch as she looked back towards Subaru who just shrugged saying "i don't know what your talking about" but she can see wind off untruths coming from him she just shakes her head at this

" I wander how much more had you predicted so far from this entire thing " said Crusch thinking back to entire situation so far and how much it was going according to his plan but there where few missing details but she chooses to ignore them for now

" if I want to answer this I have to say we are about 1 / 3 of way done more less " said Subaru with a sight Crusch widened her eyes and wanted to ask more from him but Subaru simply shakes his head indicating he will not talk

And as reinforcement comes about julius jumped off ground dragon and began to speak his greetings to royal candidate as Subaru just roles his eyes julius then went to Subaru with a bit off caution and proceeded to give his greetings to Subaru who in turn responded " will you drop that silly act and try at least pretend your undercover juli " said Subaru with a chuckle

Julius widened his eyes and said " how do you " pointing at the Subaru

And Subaru just smiled " care to introduce yourself " he said with a smirk

" I am mercenary juli at your service I am in no way knight julius as knight's can't work as mercenaries " he said with a bit off confusion in his voice

" well glad to have you on board for this let's get your group up to speed " said Subaru as he signaled remainder of troops into circles for briefing

And the briefing was swift for Subaru already known all answers to all questions and he said everything everyone needed to know about the situation at hand

Subaru then took command off the unit and went toward Roswell mansion but before he left he signaled rem to stay behind saying this is necessary but rem will not have it saying she wants to kill cultists and Subaru responded " we need someone who can detect them to ensure Crusch and everyone one here will return back to Crusch manor in event they decided to launch surprise attack " said Subaru with a serious expression something Crusch, Felix and Wilhelm took a note off

" you believe cult will attack the caravan going back to capital " asked Crusch as she had serious look on her face

" I don't believe I know it as a fact " responded Subaru with equally serious expression

Crusch deciding against her better judgement of asking how he knows this she just asked " how strong do you expect them to be " she said as she swallowed her own salvia

" sufficiently strong to destroy everyone without a scratch " said Subaru without a hit of sarcasm at this Felix immediately went to Crusch refusing to leave her side Wilhelm too was torn apart on what to do at this Crusch looked at Subaru then at the troops she is sending with him and seeing how little do she actually contribute to him something her honor can't allow so she ordered Felix to follow Subaru after intense back and forth with him and Wilhelm too was asked to follow Subaru

" I leave rem behind to attempt and detect any witch cultists in the area let her be in front off convoy move fast don't slow down and make sure you moving towards wind so she can smell miasma coming from the front " said Subaru as he looked back to rem who in turn understood why she is being left behind for this but she still needed some convincing

" But " was only thing rem was able to mutter and Subaru responded " I entrust life's of those people behind you if you truly wish to grow up as your own self you will lead them from danger and you ensure everyone including you gets to safety " said Subaru with a hand on her shoulder and rem with few tears in her eye's nodded her head knowing that she's not ready yet to stand by his side

At this everyone began to embark but Subaru carefully walked to the side next to one off carriages and whisper to a empty space " begin operation " he said as he looked into empty space where there was a small rock rolling down to his feet indicating order confirmed he then turned around and walked back to Beatrice and petrache as he proceeded with the group towards the mansion

As Subaru entered the matters domain he was greeted by ram who directed troops towards village guiding the troops he then meet up with worried looking Emilia in villages center who just rushed to him moment she noticed him

At this Subaru jumped off the ground dragon and as soon as he did he was tackled by half-elf who just hugged him and before she could say anything Subaru said " well that's a nice reception I can grow used to this " said Subaru with a smirk as he looked towards half-elf who in turn looked back to him with annoyed pout

" I was worried and im still worried and this is what you say " said pouting half-elf and to Subaru she looked incredibly cute even more so when he poked her puffed up cheeks and she let out air from them

" I am so going to get used to this " said Subaru with amusement written all over his face

"Stupid " said half-elf as she looked away pretending to be angry but failing miserably at this interaction everyone in the village and the troops squad had a warm expressions especially Wilhelm who was looking at pair with nostalgic affection

Subaru then directed carnage into town square and told towns folk to evacuate and they immediately accepted without questions as they already known of a danger that's approaching due to Emilia giving them announcement saying that Subaru is bringing some force to fight the cult with and carriages to evacuate with half of the village where already evacuated to the sanctuary as Roswell pulled carriages from his mansion that he had conveniently prepared in last week only for Subaru to roll his eyes upon learning this he then said to Emilia " well looks like this reunion is short lived as time is off essence right now so I need you to take villages towards the fugels tree and from there to Crusch manor" said Subaru to not so happy looking Emilia

Who then pulled onto his sleeve attempting to say something but Subaru continued " can I entrust you with making sure they all be safe " said Subaru as he looked at Emilia eyes and she Nodded her head

" when all off this is over I want a long explanation of what's going on here do you understand mister " said Emilia in her most treating manner attempting to imitate her mother fortuna but only made Subaru to look at her and say " Dam your beautiful I almost forgot what I was doing here " said Subaru with a serious expression

At this Emilia given him a slap to the chest and small kiss to the cheeks as she jumped in last carriage that holds all the kids in it and being to drive off Subaru then looked towards his troops who nodded and went to deal with a spy

As a spy pretending to be one off merchant's that took the job for delivery and was given instructions that are not accurate he needed to report update to his boss so he went somewhere quiet on the hill as he looked at the last carriage leaving in the distance he pulled out his metia to report but found himself on the ground with his buddy's next to him dead

" I am so grateful to you for your hard work that I will give you peaceful death you deserve " said Subaru as he was looking at the spy from above him spy was about to say something but Subaru just continued

" don't bother I already know now if you excuse me I like to use your map " he pulled map from mans chest pockets and compared to his own map " looking good so far " said Subaru as he showed both identical maps to the spy and rest off the troops julius just looked at Subaru with a bit off a fright and spy was already terrified

" Having enemy always one step ahead of you ready to destroy you at every turn can be terrifying isn't it " said Subaru as he looked at spy with amused expression and spy in question was beginning to sweat profusely as he muttered out " Do you even know who" spy was trying to say only to be shot down by Subaru " yes I do now same question do you know who are you dealing with here " said Subaru pointing at him self

" you don't do you how Slothful " said Subaru as he was adoring massive smile only for spy to widen his eyes and begin to slowly shake his head from side to side and at this Subaru directed julius to put end to the spy

And he quickly did he then turned to Subaru and asked " how did you know of the locations on the map" he said and Subaru responded " my information network identified potential locations for any base off operations in this area the are ones marked on map " he responded to julius who now had a look of understanding beginning to down on him " you identified potential locations and set up map for them then all you need to do is send few scout's out to inspect the location in question and you will potentially find troublesome individuals there " said julius as he was beginning to understand the absolute genius of the method

" it's seems someone is learning something new today " said Subaru as he looked towards julius with raised eyebrow

And julius in question nodded " you mark potential hiding spots and send in some one fast and strong to clear them out from time to time this is how the crimes in matters domain began to decrease so rapidly in comparison to other areas " said julius as he took a note off the method because for him this method is beyond valuable

Before long Subaru was sitting in villages centre waiting for expedition force to return who come back with blooded swords and a green merchant strapped to the log Subaru took one look at him and laughed " you know you should stop running into danger so often otto " as he approach the merchant and let him lose and merchant was screaming and complaining at same time saying his gratitude Only for Subaru to look at him with warmth and nostalgic look

Small time later Subaru made all troops to gather and then he dispatched them in their proper location's with a small speech about not die and returning everyone home

As so Subaru now stood before certain cave with a green sickly looking individual staring back at him and this sickly looking individual said

" I had been waiting for you fellow believer in love " said green man from the darkness off the cave slowly walking out off it

Subaru just continued to come closer to the cave

" I am witch cultist sin archbishop representing sloth petelgausu romecounty desu" said green haired man as he was giving formal bow with his henchmen behind him towards Subaru

And Subaru responded in kind " greetings sin archbishop I believe your here for ordeal " said Subaru as he casually walked right next to mad man who was now taken aback with surprised expression on his face

" they your here for it as well truly you must be new sin archbishop with so much of her love lingering on you " said mad man in what can be described as amazement

" Before you say I am not pride mind you as title of pride belongs to another " said Subaru looking straight into mad mans eyes

Who then took few steps back and bit on his own hand " you know who the pride is and your not it and I don't know who pride is or who you are how Slothful off me" said archbishop as he begin to hit his head into nearby rock and Subaru just let him at it as archbishop blood begin so splatter all around him but then he suddenly stopped and looked at the boy

He pulled out his gospel and began to fast read it but found nothing of Subaru in it he then looked at the boy before him and said " your not inside my gospel my guide to her love then who are you " he asked looking at Subaru with wide eyes

" and why her love lingers on you so heavily to a point you can be considered sin archbishop " said mad man as he took few more steps back

" Well what can I say I have a bit off a thing for half-elf women with silver hair and by looks off it she have a bit off a thing for me too " said Subaru with a wink and massive smile on his face this got peltergausu angry as he pointed his shaking finger towards the boy and said

" why are you talking about her as if your intimate with her " said green haired mad man staring at the boy and biting his hand

" Well about that you see she was kind enough to me to teach me how best pleasure a women in bed among other things" said Subaru as he looked at mad man who was getting Crushed by this information and he just screamed " Lies Lies Lies!" and launched his invisible hands at Subaru but Subaru just snapped his fingers and petrache crashed into his side sending him flying at this henchmen where about to jump into attack as two small cat looking twins blasted them off with their sonic scream Subaru jumped onto his ground dragon and looked towards archbishop

" so you know she have a habit of sneaking in my bed and playing a bit with certain parts of mine " said Subaru as he made petrache run for it at this mad man he could not allow such insults be left unanswered as result he long forgotten about everything and just chased after the man leaving his henchmen to fend for them self as the iron fang force descended upon them leaving them little time to react or defend rendering them dead in just a few moments

As Subaru keep on running away from archbishop who is now flying in air there few straggler cultists closing the gap on him but soon where taken out from shadows so fast that they seem like they just vanished and Subaru finally arrived at clearing next to spiked wall archbishop not wasting single second just lunged at him but was stopped by the cut from above him at this forcing green mad man to fall down to earth forcibly but he soon got up and looked at the source off attack

There julius with his spirits where gracefully descending from a top off a spiked cliff and upon landing he pointed his sword towards mad man " I julius juklius royal knight of Lagunaca shall be your opponent " he introduced himself in a flashy manner

" spirit arts user .. no matter for my Diligence shall not be stopped for I shall slay this disgusting abhorrent creature the one who-" mad man was rambling about Subaru and how he said he sleeps with the witch herself but Subaru was not letting him finish only adding more fuel to the fire

" for a record she likes it a lot on top so you know " said Subaru to now frozen mad man and bit confused looking julius at this moment Subaru signaled julius to cast nect and as soon as he did witch only took but a moment sin archbishop launched barrage off his hands at them both and Subaru pushed julius to the front showing him hands and slashing some him self with his whip sword

" Julius do try to pay attention remember I did say I will get him here " said Subaru with a giggle

" did you just say... that you..." julius was stopping himself from actually saying it

" He is here right it worked " said Subaru as he laughed and julius just shakes his head with a bit off a smile on his face

" And here I thought you are insane for using nect in this way but to say something like that to a sin archbishop no less that's something " said julius as he was trying not to laugh from absurdity of situation

" If it works it works " Responded Subaru with a shrug and then he used his whip blade to cut one off the hands that where sneaking behind him and only now did sin archbishop realized

And Subaru just raised his eyebrows " where they supposed to be invisible sorry man but I can see them clear as day and how about this " he said as he tilted his head and summoned his own unseen hand behind his back and just waved at peltergausu who was completely oblivious to it at this Subaru narrowed his eyes

" what about what had you done !" shouted mad man looking at Subaru who then looked at julius and asked " how long till you get used to this " he asked and julius responded " my body almost already used to this we can step it up now " said julius as he just charged into mass off unseen hands cutting them off

" Your good at lies that's all there is to it " said mad man who then launched another wave off his hands but julius casted his Al Clarissta on mad man and send him flying backwards he then begin to charge at sin archbishop how ever Subaru was already ahead off him

Sin archbishop seeing as duo are charging at him casted his defense spell " Ul dona " creating earth barricade but Subaru used his whip to pull himself closer to the earth wall and placed his hands on it staring straight in to archbishops eyes and said " Divine providence" at this sin archbishop felt that something grabbed his legs and pulled him out off the earth cage and straight into julius but sin archbishop had not even recognized the knight for his entire focus was on the boy and the only word he said was

" How " as he then noticed a blade sticking from his chest he then fallen to his knees he no longer had time to contemplate on how or why the only thing he can do is try his last card and he then tried to possess Subaru but only to lose consciousness as his body fell limp to the ground and his spirit was no where to be found

" looks like this is end off this " said Subaru as he looked towards the sin archbishop

" it appears so but I am surprised he just died like this something is wrong " said julius looking at Subaru who then responded

" He tried to possess me not his brightest ideas " said Subaru as he was chuckling

Julius then looked at the boy with widened eyes and asked " what happened "

" You see he can possess anyone who is compatible with spirits but they must not have spirit contract as his possession is essentially a forced contract in a way " said Subaru with a chuckle

"normally if you are contracted to a spirit your spirit can block him out but let's say if your spirit is powerful grate spirit with 400 years worth of knowledge among other things " said Subaru looking at julius with a big smile

Julius narrowed his eyes and said " did you just made your spirit to trap him inside yourself " he asked with a bit off frightened look

" not really as beacko just pushed his spirit into crystal and sealed it shut " said Subaru as he begin to make what appears to be a door frame to confused julius

Then Subaru finished making a makeshift door as julius was about to ask what's this all about Subaru opened the door revealing smug looking Beatrice sitting right next to a door with a crystal in her hand

"beacko your amazing" said Subaru as he lifted Beatrice in air and begin to spin her round and round and round again

and after few moments they stopped for the job is not done yet

Subaru went to mad mans body cast murack on it picked it up and send it into his fort and Beatrice took it up but Subaru remained outside for he was still needed in different location right now as Subaru closed the doors and door frame collapsed julius just had his jaw hit the ground observing entire situation without saying a word

" What was that door" he asked dropping any pretenses he once had looking into location where door once stood

" what that oh is just one of many different tricks I use this one in particular is only possible because my spirit is amazing that's all" said Subaru as he shrugged

" But enough about that we still have stuff to do and we need to move fast " said Subaru as he hopped back on petrache and signaled julius to do the same on his own ground dragon and moments later they where back in villages just as Felix was about to call them via metia

" Subaru julius we need to talk " said cat looking healer

" it's about magical crystals yes ?" Said Subaru who looked at Felix and he nodded to confused looking julius

" not to worry I am already on it as for you Felix do what you need here as healer and make your way back to Crusch julius you finish up clearing the stragglers and make your way to Crusch manor we all meet up there " said Subaru giving out orders like it was his second nature by this point

Julius and Felix simply nodded and Subaru turned to green dresses merchant " you in trouble because off oil yes do me fast transport job back to tree and I promise your problem with that oil be thing of your past otto " said Subaru with a bit off a smirk

Otto not sure how or why Subaru knows about that but he decided to agree to this and just said " yes will do so " with slowly nodded head

As Subaru and otto got in carriage Subaru said " just so you know we need to get to fugels tree asap because if we late a lot off people will die no pressure " said Subaru as he put his hand on now pale faced otto's shoulder who finished attaching petrache to carnage and went off at grate speed's

Otto was charging past forest and down the cliffs at ludicrous speeds otto being amazed that he can do something like this he then turned to Subaru hoping to see impressed expression on the man who hired him but to his astonishment Subaru was just sitting back and relaxing enjoying the ride " how can you relax like this when we are literally driving down the cliff " said otto bit panicked and Subaru responded with a smirk " Because I trust you " said Subaru as he leaned back on ottos oil and covered his eyes with his hat almost going to sleep but before that he said " to be honest any second I can get to rest now is a second well spent for I have too much to do and too little time to relax " said Subaru as he just went to sleep he felt something inside him clicked and submitted it self to him

Subaru raised his eyebrows and think to himself " I haven't killed peltergausu nor did I removed his witch factor yet so how come sloth just submitted itself to me ?" said Subaru as he don't remember sloth witch factor entering him as he is really familiar with that sensation by now

Subaru decided to look into this little later as he had more important things to do and it's resting for he was awake for more then 24 hours and had been in combat with calamity class beast and sin archbishop

Even if he was resting in what can be described as the worst possible environment with shaking and rocking carriage Subaru was fine for he had worst before

As carriage was finally reaching clearing in forest and otto told Subaru that " the tree is visible now " Subaru waking himself up from his power nap looked over the road next to the tree leading towards capital but see nothing there at this Subaru narrowed his eyes and looked towards road leading to alarms village and he can see dust clouds in a distance

"I am moving way faster this time around so much so that I got here even before them " Subaru was contemplating to himself

He then instructed otto to go towards the caravan of people that was approaching the tree but he can see in distance that caravan was attacked but cultists henchmen and is currently in combat with escorts old man Wilhelm was just slaughtering the assailants

Subaru then noticed the last carriage and told otto to drive next to is from behind and follow it without stopping and he did.

Subaru then run off and jumped into still moving carriage to amazement and bewilderment of everyone who seen it he then rushed over next to Emilia who was about to ask what's wrong but Subaru had no time to talk as he peeled off the planks and picked up bag full of magical stones he then run out off carriage and jumped on still moving ottos carriage Subaru then run and jumped on petrache who was pulling carriage and freed her from it "otto you stay with caravan and I go do what I need to do see ja later man " Subaru told otto this as he was running away from everyone towards the corpses of whale this got caravan to stop and Emilia got outside off carriage to see what Subaru is up to

She then noticed corpse of the best and Subaru running towards it otto too was frozen in awe as he seen the corpse on the ground for he finally had a time to look around

Subaru tossed the magic rocks inside the beast and send petrache back to caravan yet he stayed behind as he got to area where beast skin was peeled off and cast multiple minyas to form something akin to a platform and he then cast more minyas to make something similar to a cage for himself and more defence measures

" Well let's hope this will work " Subaru mused to himself as he braced for the explosion

Then the bag exploded how ever majority of explosion we contained inside the beast and the force of explosion was released via openings and the cut off part off a skin with so many areas to release pressure from explosion whale's body remained intact as for Subaru he was raiding on explosion and being launched into air almost like he was shot out off cannon as Subaru was barely conscious he begin to craft doors using minyas as a building blocks he then opened the door and let Shaula join him as he was still flying in air at ridiculous speeds

" Shaula look for man in white and scruffy looking child, blue haired woman and green haired woman if you see anyone with this description tell me " Subaru ordered Shaula almost passing out due to g force he experienced yet somehow he was able to keep his mind from passing out

"Yes master " responded Shaula as she scanned the entire area around them but for shaula observing a vast area was natural to her by now she did spend last 400 year's doing just that and she imminently spotted something.

Some time before subjugation of sloth sin archbishop a caravan of tired but otherwise fine soldier's where returning from the hunt and where carrying beast head as spoils of war

But the mood was somewhat sober not one off celebration but one of worry for everyone know that there's big chances attack on them will be done so they where observing everything around them waiting for it.

" do you smell anything yet" asked green haired duchess's looking toward a girl with blue hair that was standing on top off carriage sniffing air as caravan was moving forward towards capital

" Unfortunately no but we are travelling with the wind behind us and wind protection from ground dragon's make it difficult to smell anything " responded blue haired maid looking determined and ready for conflict ahead

" I wish that i can say he was wrong about the attack and i hope he is but after everything i see him do i take his warnings with utmost respect and faith in it's accuracy " said battle ready duchess's as she was holding her sword and sitting on top off carriage next to maid observing entire area around them

She the noticed something in the distance behind them and said " slow down carriage to marching speeds so divine protection drops " ordered crush looking at the driver who nodded and did as she commanded and as soon as he did rem immediately said " he haves the stench of the witch on him " pointing towards a small sized individual that was wearing warned down clothes and appeared to be at age of a child but the stench was strong on him

" It's unmistakable that child is sin archbishop based on everything that was told and timings of his appearance " rem growled the words out as she was staring towards the individual with rage and absolute murderous intentions radiating off her

" Lady crush we have someone up ahead " a warning coming from the driver off carriage pointing towards front off caravan

Crush looked towards front and instantly recognized what they where doing as it's common tactics on attacking the caravans one take out front of caravan carriages other take out back one's stopping all caravan dead in it tracks

" All troops prepare for combat we got company " shouted crush as she stood up and pulled out her sword readying herself for combat

But then something unexpected happened as groups people where appearing out off thin air wearing black charging to carriage's from sides picking up the confused soldier's and jumping out from other side in one fall swoop then disappearing into clouds of black smoke for this black dress individuals just keep appearing and disappearing from sight taking her troops with them and before crush even managed to say anything about 40% off her army's fighting soldier's where missing for individuals dressed in black robes where extremely fast and efficient

" what was that " was only thing crush managed to say as seeing her troops being reduced by 40% before she even managed to react

" all troops get out into formation on the double get injured one in middle off formation" Ordered crush with a bit of desperation in her voice that she skilfully hidden

As troops hastily begin to take formation crush noticed something odd " where are the injured solders " she asked looking at her second in command

" The black hooded individuals took them before we even noticed " responded middle aged man clad in armour

" how they only attack now and the number off them where small " responded crush with a shocked expression

" It seems they where with us for way longer then we realised " responded man in clear manner but had a look of shame on him

" rem did you smell anything from black hooded ones for witch cultists wear red robes not black ones " said crush as she looked towards blue maid who shaken her head responding

" they didn't smell like witch cultists " rem said with gritted teeth

As crush observes situation she found herself in she noticed the small individual in distance was running towards them at increased speed but was still far away but not for long she then looked at individual she seen in front off the caravan and he was just casually walking towards them

Upon nothing this crush directed her attention to smaller one who was running towards them

" it seems black hooded ones don't work with cult or at least not directly as for cultists we soon be engaged with that one" crush was pointing towards a child like figure that was running at them

But crush didn't heard much off a response from people around her she then looked back to her troops and noticed terrified expressions on everyone face but then she also noticed another group of her troops missing

As crush was about to give her speech and rise morale off her troops to get them to focus on problem of sin archbishop charging towards them she noticed black hooded individuals just appearing out off thin air picking up her terrified solders 2 or even 3 at time and vanish in black smoke and just like that her troops over all numbers where reduced to less then 40% off her army's original number

" they picking us off before we can even respond or do anything about it more then half off troops already vanished " rem was calmly stating the facts but was holding a boiling rage in her eyes

" Turtle formation on the double we don't know from where or how they will attack be prepared to engage them from every direction " ordered crush and terrified solders got in something similar to a circle holding weapons at the ready observing everything around them but crush can say soldiers where nothing more then frightened rabble that only remembers basic training drilled into them due to absolute fear they are facing

And just like that black clocked individuals fallen onto them from a sky grabbed few soldiers from within formation and disappeared yet again into black cloud off smoke

Upon witnessing the ease on how fast the black hooded individuals where taking soldiers away and already terrified solders lost any and all will to do anything and got routed

As result soldiers begin to just run away dropping weapons they where carrying how ever black hooded individuals just keep appearing from no where and taking away first ones that started to run efficiently hoarding back soldiers like sheep back into formation but there where just handful off soldiers remaining no more the 20 at this point for black hooded individuals where consistent and efficient in the work they do

" lady crush take carriage and make run for it we try to hold them back " said crush second in command as he picked up crush and thrown her into carriage he did do so with rem as well and give strong slap to ground dragon's behind to make them run away from everyone into the wilderness with crush and rem as only passenger's and as crush got back to her feet and about to jump out off carriage she seen the black hooded individuals already picking up her remaining solders and just vanishing in to black smoke

Rem immediately took a rains off ground dragon's carriage to regain control and as she looked towards troops she too noticed how last members just vanish as well

And as the reality that only she and crush remain begin to sink in rem was about to stop the carriage and go fight off sin archbishop on her own but a voice in her mind remained her something from before

" oni i used to know died on her own leaving too big off a scar in my hart only because she didn't valued herself " voice inside her head echoed around rem's head

She then remembered entire conversation with the nasty eyed boy she grown to like being around with even if he was a bit off rude or brutal he was how ever exceptionally sharp and kind for he made even her sister to be less off a burden in that short time he lived with them

And with uncertain voice in her mind rem asked herself "will my sister mourn for me if i die " and then a single sentence resonated in her mind " a girl that didn't value herself" at this rem eye's widened for the boy was almost describing this entire situation she found herself in

"Was that girl's name was rem" she said as her eye's being to leak few tears

Blue oni maid had too many questions and no answers as she looked back towards sin archbishop that was now chasing them she made decision that forever changed her life

" I shall not die here " responded blue maid but no longer calling herself in 3 person as she normally did she instead responded referring to herself as I " for i am Rem a woman who will make him mine" said rem with determination burning in her eyes

And with regained resolve she made dragons run faster to get away from sin archbishop something she never ever thought she would ever do

As crush clumsily stood back up in carriage reality of situation dawn on her as well for all her troops are now no more but before a sad depressing thoughts took root in her mind rem shouted

" we shall not die here for if i can't save even you i have no right to stand before him " stated blue haired oni with eyes of pure determination looking at crush who just stood still in a bit of awe at sheer emotion began maids voice

Crush's mind then began to process everything that happened up to this point and revisited everything she seen the boy do up to this point she then realized something " tell me how many plans do Natsuki Subaru normally have in motion " asked crush noticing something peculiar in the way boy acted and planned everything and how obsessed he was in saving everything or everyone

Rem confused but responded with absolute honesty " i don't know for only his spirit is able to even tell what he have planed out but even she struggles to comprehend him sometimes " stated rem with matter of a fact voice

" tell me do he have mercenaries working for him that he can use for let's say to make my troops disappear" asked crush looked at maid with intensity but rem just responded " no the only reason he made this alliance with you to begin with was so he can call down few troops for sloth subjugation and if he did why he bother with alliance then ?" responded rem with her head tiled and crush narrowed her eyes once more for rem told her truth

At this crush herself begin to doubt her own evaluation of situation and she just shaken her head deciding that situation at hand takes priority over the boys plans in motion

At this crush and rem being to do everything in their power to shake off and lose one archbishop that was chasing them crush used her sword strikes to slow him down and rem was directing ground dragon's movement's this went on for some time but ground dragon begin to get tired and was slowing down nothing predicament crush said " it seems we will have to fight for we can run no longer " as crush jumped off from now stopped carriage and rem pulled out her morning star with a nod as she too jumped off carriage and as soon as she did the carriage just exploded next to them

As both crush and rem looked at exploded carriage they turned towards sin archbishop who was chasing them but was now just casually standing before them

" That's him not me tsu~" pointed sin archbishop towards a speck in the distance and said speck was casually walking towards them

But then this speck moved towards them at unimaginable speeds flying in straight line directly towards rem and crush as rem immediately grabbed crush and jumped in air and just as she did the thing fly right past where they where and then collided with a rock that was right next to carriage same rock that destroyed carriage in first place

" how dare you to disrespect my right for peaceful walk littering your trash on the road like that have you no shame " a white man was walking out off the destroyed bolder of a rock as he grinded that rock to dusts with his feet

Crush dumbfounded was looking at the man with wide eyes for he without using any effort grinded the rock into nothing in matter of seconds and was walking towards them without even a speck of dust on him he then remembered description Subaru given her but she had to make sure

" and you will be " she asked cautiously holding her sword close to her self

" yes how rude off us not to introduce oneself after you given me such enjoyable chase tsu~" a small child like archbishop responded almost like he was waiting for this

" we are witch cult sin archbishop reprocessing gluttony of gourmet Ley batelcaintos please make this meeting delicious tsu~" Said long haired small like child with sinister smile licking his own lips

" Witch cult sin archbishop representing Greed Regulius Cornelius " Responded a white man with a Sinister smile as well looking toward two girls

Crush visibly gulped as she understood that situation she found herself in reality bad situation as two archbishops stood before her and her army's and troops where spirited away somewhere unknown to her but her noble pride will not allow her to back down even when facing this situation so she lifted her sword and with authority and knightly honour declared her name and her titles and as soon as she finished with it she launched her sword attack towards greed but just as Subaru stated it did nothing crush visibly clicked her tongue

Rem seeing situation to begin to deteriorate so rapidly launched her own morning star weapon at the gluttony archbishop who blocked and dodged all her attempts

" how rude not to introduce yourself like this tsu~" a small archbishop was dodging effortlessly with annoyed expression

" i have no name to give for a likes of you " responded rem with a pure hatred in her eyes

This how ever given gluttony even more insensitive to eat the girl before him but her name is not known to him and the girl refuses to give her name

" no matter we have ways to learn about you tsu~" said archbishop with a smile looking toward crush just as greed cut her arm off with one off his attacks

Rem looking at crush who is holding stump of where her hand used to be and was bleeding previously if nothing is done crush will die to blood loss alone and with that rem will lose yet again her self to grief of failure versus the witch cult no less again

No she shall not commit same mistake again nor will she allow something like that happen again but what she can do she is too weak to fight and win she understood this to a painful decree after trading few blows with archbishop but then a idea come to her one she never before cold even begin to entertain something so outside her own self that she herself was astonished of even considering it but yet it might work and without second to spare she raised her morning star and begin her attacks once more invoking her horn earning pleased look from gluttony

But then she let go off her weapon mid attack picked up crush and her arm that was next to her and using all off her oni strength she ran and ran and ran as fast as she can a sudden unprecedented burst of speed coughed gluttony by surprise

And greed had really annoyed expression as well as he begin to throw rocks at rem that she skilfully dodged and kept on running

" this one is soo delicious we will enjoy every part of you tsu~" said gluttony as he given his chase

Rem running was also applying some healing magic to crush so she will not die to blood loss and this running continued for some time once more how ever gluttony was essentially teleporting all around rem taunting her

And just as rems strength begin to waver she noticed that she ran one big circle and was returning towards the abandoned caravan yet she refused to let her legs fail for she must get away from this

But then suddenly bright lights come falling down from the sky right onto the gluttony sin archbishop almost killing him but due to his uncanny reactions he managed to teleport away from it at last second

Rem not knowing what is that bright light but noticed that is was targeting only sin archbishop turned towards direction it was coming from and with renewed strength she run towards it

And the bright light did not disappoint her for it was successfully keeping sin archbishop away from her as he was doing everything he can just to say alive from it's assault how ever rem then suddenly felt she got grabbed from behind as the bright light's numbing in hundreds where coming towards the archbishop causing untold destruction all around him and such destruction was fast approaching rem but as she felt that something that got her from behind wrapped it's arms around her and whisper "Emergency recall" and just like that rem was inside darkness devoid of any senses she could not even feel her own body or hear her own thoughts for there was not but endless abyss before her but said abyss only lasted for a moment as she soon regained her senses

And the first thing she seen was a girl in red dress with golden hair and butterfly's in her eyes

" i see you made it maid well done in fact " said Beatrice with nonchalant voice as she took crush away from rem and began giving her some proper healing as well as reattach her arm it only took her but a moment's for Beatrice no longer needed to conserve her mana pool due to Subaru's inventions and upgrades to fort and more efficient mana extraction from witch beast's then it was before

"Lady Beatrice how" rem was about to ask in bewilderment but she then noticed a clocked individual that holded her before let go off her and just walked out off the room without even acknowledging her

For the only thing rem seen was a black cloak and persons back but even with that she could say it was a woman that just walked out off the room

" Subaru's back up plan in case you fail to notice sin archbishop's closing in on your location i suppose " responded Beatrice to question not asked yet by rem

" He come to my rescue like a hero" said rem as she was tearing up only to be shut down by loli spirit

" No matter what do not ever call him that especially you maid " now serious looking Beatrice with a hit of anger in her eyes and distaste looking at rem

This come as bit off a shock yet again to her but she chooses not to ask why. she was not sure she wanted to know but at same time she took this to her hart to never call Subaru a hero ever

As Beatrice remembered darker part from her new gain memories thanks to her contract with Subaru she also remembered him hurting himself as well as crying next to this maids bed side and on one occasion after especially bad nightmare she overheard Subaru almost beginning this maid to call him a hero once more she remembered how hopeless she felt that time

But now Subaru no longer hurts himself and no longer cry next to this maid's bed as result Beatrice will do everything to make sure he will not end up in that sorry state ever again not after he saved her from that lonely hell she once was in and given her soo much joy with or without her old memories this was something current Beatrice swore to herself to protect him from.

As a deafening silence fallen onto the room Beatrice returned back to checking up on crush to see if she need more healing done but to relief of little spirit crush was simply asleep but otherwise she was fine.

"The green lady here will wake up sometime tomorrow i suppose for she is exhausted but she is fine so bring her to bed over there" pointed loli spirit towards a row of beds where other soldiers that disappear into the black smoke where resting some off them noticing crush run over to her and begin to check up on her but where shoed off by Beatrice saying she needs rest

So rem did as she was told by spirit and put crush into bed side as she was moving away from bed she seen shaula princess carry Subaru past the room and she run off to see what's going on so she asked

" is Subaru ok " asked cautiously blue haired maid with bit nervous in her voice

" master is only sleeping he said he is really tired and needs some sleep " responded shaula in cheerful manner and rem immediately said

" it's my duty as maid to care for him so if you allow-" rem was saying in her professional manner as maid but was denied by shaula saying " Noooo i will look after master It's my duty and i will not give it away without a fight" responded shaula in dramatic manner shaking Subaru from side to side at this Beatrice cast murack on him and teleported him out off grasp off scorpion girl

" He needs sleep and you shaking him like that enough i look after him my self in fact " as Beatrice stated this to two girls she opened one off doors went through it and closed it behind her before rem or shaula even managed to react

Bout girls only took moment to recover and went to that door to get Subaru back but only where met with different room no Beatrice or Subaru in sight

At this shaula was furious so she started running around opening every door she can find inside fort but to no avail

Rem too a sight of resignation and went back to crush and soldiers to see if anyone still needed healing but no one needed her healing magic not knowing what to do rem being wandering around the place looking for something to do

" it's terrifying not having purpose or goal " muttered rem to herself not knowing what she should do with herself when there's no duty for her to do

So she explored the odd looking building with now multiple different doors and different rooms she was amazed how such a big place was staying clean and she yet to see any servants

At one point in her journey rem stumbled on odd looking door it was more like a hole in the wall then actual door as best way to describe it be someone made hole and then later put a door frame to hide said hole job seem to be rushed and not well done

So she opened the door and what greeted her was a sign "Do not wake up old man he get grumpy" was written on the sign

And against her better judgement rem took few steps only to find herself standing on glass like floor that you can see below her feet she then know she is height in air for the ground was really far away

She looked around herself and seen a massive bed with even more massive table next to it as well as few barrels of what she can tell was alcohol right next to bed and inside this massive bed that was made from the most fluffy materials she ever seen was sleeping a massive dragon surrounded by massive bed sheets made of fluffy materials a pillow that seemed to be made of clouds them self and a massive black hat with a fluffy ball attached to it's end ( sleeping hat ) and hat was adoring multiple star symbols

And the dragon himself was blissfully sleeping without care in the world however rem did noticed that bed itself was way too big for dragon alone she then observed bed and noticed plenty off small dolls scattered about as well as few sheathed bent knifes next to dolls then a few other clothing related items ranging from black cloak she seen people wearing before then there was black and orange clock next to it as well

Then there was top off track suit she recognized one Subaru wearing from time to time when he is messing about

" He is sleeping here? " muttered rem to herself in absolute disbelief unable to comprehend anyone brave or foolish enough to even attempt to sleep next to divine dragon himself

Rem then placed her hand on fluffy bed sheet in attempt to get better look at stuff there on bed and as her hand touched the fluffy mattress she was shocked to the core how can anything be this fluffy and soft as she attempted to get closer to the dolls and the track suit she immediately found herself upside down facing now awaken dragon staring at her " Thou have his protection but not his permission " stated the dragon looking at maid

Rem took few moments to process what happened was about to say something but she got tossed out from area like some sort off trash before she even realized what's happening she was flying through air without nothing to gab on to and she was really high in the sky nothing her predicament she tried everything to slow her descent so she would not die but she was unable to formulate any spell or even gather any mana

And then a strong stench of witch hit her nose as this stench was everywhere around her panicked rem tried to summon her horn but nothing as the stench it self seemed to drain strength out off her preventing her from doing anything

Rem desperately attempted to do everything she can but then she hit something with her back as she was falling with her back towards the ground. it took her but second to process she landed on a cushion of some sort and before her there was massive rings 3 off those one big other smaller and last was smallest

She then took in her surroundings and noticed few signs that where saying " sports festival rings you get points for managing to hit all tree and reward of candy " was written on sign and next to it there was a bowl full of lollipops

Rem confused did as sign told her and took one candy that she put into her mouth as to her surprise the oppressive feeling from witch stench was greatly mitigated to more bearable extent it's was still unpleasant but now she was not restrained on using her magic power even if those powers where still reduced she was about to grab another lollipop but noticed another sign to her left

" only one candy per person take more and you will regret it " was a warning writing in big letters so rem put a candy back to the bowl and looked around she then noticed a lot off weird and unimaginable constructions all around her and one sign saying at what can be said to be entrance to the area " Amusement park for all family to enjoy "

As rem started walking down what she noticed to be on a big platform she then instantly felt a cold metal sensation on her neck and her belly

" You do not have permission to be here why are you here" said voice from behind rem and rem frozen but soon responded

" I was looking for someone " rem gulped as she was saying this word's

" Yes i know who are you looking for Rem but you still don't have permission to be here and only reason why you still alive is because you have his protection " responded a voice behind rem in what can be described as a voice full off disappointed expectations

" And here i was hoping i get to gut something interesting for exchange but no such luck today at least unless dear maid wishes to entertain me" said cold voice behind rem as she pulled her knifes away slowly

Rem slowly turned around to take a look at the person behind her and what she was greeted was a hooded woman with two bent blades in her hands with black robes but what stood out most where bat like wings that where adoring from the woman's back

Rem took few steps back and asked " and who are you " looking at hidden face off the woman

" nothing special only person in charge to make sure no one wander off where they not supposed to considering we have plenty guest's today " said woman in gleeful manner

" and i am here to get them back if they cooperate but if they don't " there was visible giggle from the hooded woman

" so you coming back or ? " woman was looking at rem with what can be described as predator waiting for it's pray

" i shall return to where i should be then apologies for my misadventure " responded rem in professional maids manner

" Such a shame i was hoping you might entertain me a little but well i have job to do and now i have to return you back safe and sound " responded hooded woman as she put knifes away and extended her hand to confused rem

" it's faster this way my boss made sure off it " said hooded woman

As rem cautiously took woman's hand she then got pulled in into her abundant chest and jumped off the ground rem noticed that she no longer feels any weight in her body and she is actually flying as hooded woman's wings where maneuvering them in air

" it's not wings that carry us is it " rem asked confused about lack off feeling weight

" Ohhh i am impressed you noticed this so fast no this wings are only for navigation as boss says what make us fly is one off spell stones on my wrist " said hooded woman's as she showed bracelet with multiple different magical stones on it that had multiple different colors

Before rem could ask more questions she was already back to door that she originally went through as she turned around to give her thanks to hooded woman she was already gone rem took few steps looking around where she went and then from above the door rem noticed a massive tower " sages tower " rem muttered out without even thinking as she immediately recognized something so unmistakable

She then given her tanks to no one in particular and went through doors as she was instructed afraid to anger the woman who can appear and disappear like this

And just as she opened the door and was about to walk through it she took one last look towards the bed with the dragon in it she noticed something akin to a stick sticking out off his mouth she took only few seconds to realize that it was oversized lollipop same one she was having in her mouth she shakes her head and closed the door behind her choosing not to question it

As rem made her way back to where soldiers where she noticed that crush was already awake way sooner then expected so she went to talk to her " lady crush it's good to see you unhurt " rem did her maids greetings with perfection as she addressed crush

To this crush looked back to maid and responded " it's good to see you are safe as well but can you tell us anything about predicament we find us in?" asked duchess's with a bit off worried expression

" i believe we are inside Beatrice's forbidden library but it's changed so much that i can't even recognize it anymore " responded blue haired maid to crush who had look off understanding and revealed expression

" i believe Natsuki Subaru have something to do with this then have you seen him i like to talk to him " asked crush with bit caution in her voice

" i did indeed seen him but he was asleep lady Beatrice took him with her and disappeared somewhere unknown to me" said rem with her head lowered to the ground as in apology just as her maid training dictated

" Can you tell how long we must remain like this i like to have Felix look at injured solders to ensure they all will return to full health " requested the duchess's with a bit off calculation in her eyes

" i will try to find out how long we will stay like this please give me a moment " responded rem as she left the room with soldiers she went down the hall looking for where Beatrice might be so she can ask about situation and perhaps she can check up on Subaru as well

Rem then stopped next to random door and said out loud " lady Beatrice Crush-sama asking how long will she remain here for" rem then opened the door revealing massive library and in the middle off this library there was a bed with sleeping Subaru and Beatrice who was snuggling next to him

Beatrice then slowly opened her eye's and said " she can leave whenever she wants from the door at reception area that will lead outside you can take your leave as well in fact " said Beatrice as she was gesturing rem to leave with a shoo hand sign something rem was familiar with so she took her leave after giving courtesy nod

At this rem told crush and crush asked " where is that reception area " as her soldiers did indeed scouted surrounding area they where in. yet no one found anything even remotely similar to it

As crush stated it. then a small little girl appeared from behind them and said " i can lead you there but don't wander around too much there's rooms with bad animals near by reception area

Said meiling and crush recognized the child and asked " bad animals?" with tilted head

" You call them witch beast and ones there are really dangerous ones so be careful " meiling was telling something dreadful with innocent smile

Crush and rest off the soldier's just nodded their heads following the little girl who was acting as guide they walked for a bit but got distracted by noise off doors opening and closing with strong force something meiling was way used at this point as she just ignored the noises

Crush was about to ask what's that but she soon seen half naked women who she recognized as shaula running around opening doors at random and slamming them shut moments later she then run to door next to crush and her soldiers opened it and what come out off that room was endless screaming like new born baby's being strangled and many off them dreadful sounds coming from inside the room and next moment fireball fly out off that room shaula just slapped fireball out off air and then given her own scream back into the room as well as send few of her own shots from her weapon then she slammed doors shut and run off to next room

In all that exchange crush had her weapon at the ready and soldiers where same preparing for combat against that dreadful creature that made this noise but meiling without even paying attention to the entire commotion said " we almost there come don't be shy" as little girl gestured the group behind them to follow her

Crush looked at rem with a confused and worried look and rem just shaken her head indicating she knows nothing about this with this crush cautiously proceeded to follow the girl as they reached double door as meiling opened the door she was greeted with a table next to the wall and big open area on the table it was written Reception area and on top off table there was note with a metal looking device and on note it was saying " press the bell only once to get reception press it more then once and get thrown out by angry loli" crush was about to press the bell but meiling stopped her

" I would not do that if i were you Beatrice gets really annoyed whenever somebody press that bell without good reason " meiling given a cheerful warning to crush who preferred not to anger grate spirit and left the bell alone then meiling opened a massive double door's and them door's where leading outside as crush and her troops followed by rem walked out they noticed that they are right next to their own caravan the same one they abandoned and next to it there was now even more people one off them people where worried looking half-elf who was running around looking at all carriages searching for something

As crush walked out she was immediately approached by Felix who was screaming and crying " lady crush... your ok" Felix was absolute mess as he was running around without knowing what to do when he learned that crush caravan was indeed assaulted and all soldiers including crush where missing

" i am fine Felix calm down" stated crush with serious voice putting damper to Felix raging emotions and he quietly lowered his head but took few steps closer to her asking to check her's condition and she directed him to rest of the soldier's saying they need help more then she right now

After this brief exchange Emilia rushed towards crush and almost screamed " crush have you seen Subaru anywhere he disappeared " a worried almost lost half-elf asked crush but before she could even respond meiling said " Subaru onii_chan is right there go in and press the bell but only once " at this half-elf just run pass the door without even acknowledging anything around her

Crush was confused by behavior of half-elf but noting behavior of her own knight she choose to question situation later as she had different matters to attend to like getting caravan back to capital she then nodded and given her thanks to meiling who in turn said " Subaru-nii said that we can discuss everything about this at later date in about one or two weeks till then rest and keep your eyes open for cultists might attack again " meiling then turned away from crush towards rem and said " Rem is to bring this carriage to Roswell mansion and resume her normal duties for now " meiling then waited a response from rem who in turn responded

" will i meet Subaru if i do so ? I have something to talk with him about " asked rem without even a hint of her normal maid's professionalism left in her

At this meiling just smiled and stated " you will have your chance and soon i promise you as his daughter " just as meiling finished what she was saying she went back to carriage she walked out from and closed doors behind her leaving rem outside with confused crush looking at same carriage

Then crush went to same door and opened only to be greeted by other end off carriage saying " how" as she closed that door and opened it again " this is Impossible something like this is just" as crush took few steps from the door and left the carriage she looked back to it once more " is this not sages magic then what is this" she asked no one in particular rem noticed crush bewilderment choose to elaborate " this is Beatrice's door crossing but now it's way more different then what it once was " crush looked at disbelief towards rem blinked few times then stated

" He can bring entire army to enemy's strong hold right next to them without anyone even knowing with this " Crush said as she was looking at the most useful thing in the world because for her as military leader she knows one thing above all other when it comes to army that is Logistics but with something like this you can eliminate any need for logistics as you essentially keep your army in strong hold and lose them onto enemy no need for marching no need for anything a single carriage can bring army

On top off always having element of surprise at your side for who can expect troops in hundreds changing out off the simple single carriage

But before long crush given her good bye to maid who took carriage back to mansion how ever she never lost sight of carriage

"Felix i want any and all information about Natsuki Subaru anything and everything and we need to revaluate strength of Emilia's camp this royal selection just got way more interesting" crush stated to Felix still looking toward carriage that was moving away

Felix regained some off his composure and soon was joined by Wilhelm as well Felix then asked " yes i shall do my best but can i ask why" feline cat person asked with tiled head

" A man that can summon entire army out off no where capable of following my entire caravan right under my nose without me knowing anything about then on top off making that beast's death possible and i expect sin archbishop of sloth is no more all in less then two days" crush looked at Felix as she was saying them words with a bit off frightened eyes

" a opponent like him is best to have as ally then enemy no matter how you look at it and having him to be friendly to us takes top priority from now on for we know nothing about what more he can bring out " stated crush as she was still in disbelief about the carriage that got her entire army inside it something that just made no sense to her

Wilhelm how ever decided to add to the crush words some off his own " on top off all that he also got sin archbishop of lust killed and in fight against the beast he briefly let me use divine sword as well as make my body light just like i was back in my prime " said old swords man at this crush looked towards him with widened eyes for she completely forgot that sword

Even Felix was taken aback " he made you feel light ?" said best healer in the Lagunaca shaking his head slowly for something like that is just absurd

" Yes at the climax off the battle when he tossed that sword to me i felt full of strength just like back in old days at first i thought it's a sword but later i confirmed that sword was just illusion he made to make it seem like that sword given me strength but in fact it was him" said old man as he replayed entire fight and that and remembered every detail especially one where he put sword in the white whale's head and let go off it yet strength remained only when the boy confirmed that beast is dead did old man felt strength leaving

" impossible something like that is just impossible there's no spell of any kind that can do this " said Felix as he shaken his head in disbelief for best healer in Lagunaca having someone that can literally do something he can't and that person is not even a healer was just inconceivable

" Natsuki Subaru just Who are you really " said crush looking at carriage that was already far away and disappeared from sight

Natsuki Subaru how ever at this time was blissfully sleeping inside the bed without care in the world next to him there was little girl's his adorable spirit and his cute daughter and now he was joined by beautiful half-elf woman with silver hair who sit next to the bed holding his hand and looking at him with unreadable expression on her face

As they remained like this for few hours Subaru actually woken up without any issues something that he was not expecting for he should be asleep for a least a day or two after everything and yet he don't feel tired no more so he woken up

" Good morning sleepy head" was first thing he heard a beautiful voice similar to that off a bell greeted him

Subaru slowly opened his eyes noticed emilia he then took a second look to confirm it is indeed emilia and then he said " you know i can grow used to seeing your face first thing in the morning " at this half-elf blushed and looked away

" Stupid " was only thing she said but she never let go off his hand

as Subaru was slowly getting up in sitting position he noticed Beatrice and meiling sleeping next to him he then given a small kiss to girls foreheads and get out off the bed without waking them up he then covered girls up in blanket took Emilia's hand and left the room quietly as he can Emilia too unsure what to do followed his lead to do the same

" I take the entire operation we a successful one" he asked as he was leading half elf to different room a room with sofa and few coffee tables as well as few chairs

" I think yes i don't know much i wanted to ask you what's going on" as Emilia said this she was bit unsure herself about what she can say just as Subaru sit down on sofa and gestured Emilia to sit down as well next to him something she did gleefully still holding his hand

" You did known about the plan to fight the beast and archbishop's right " asked Subaru with confused look

And Emilia nodded her head but then she asked " But i don't know anything about you shooting out in air or " as Emilia was saying this she then stared to leek few tears and stopped herself from talking as she closed her mouth

Subaru then gently pulled Emilia into his embrace something she Accepted without a second thought and she hugged him afraid to let go so he might not disappear " You could gotten hurt or" Emilia buried her head into his chest as she was now sobbing

" But i didn't and even if i did got hurt i trust you heal me right back up " Subaru stated in playful manner something that got Emilia really angry and she just slammed his chest with her fists but without hurting him

" But ... Stupid... what if you..." As Emilia was sobbing and losing strength in her arms afraid to say those words Subaru gently hugged her and whisper to her ear

" But i haven't that's what matters isn't it" Emilia then slowly nodded her head still keeping her face buried inside his chest

" We don't ever know when the time we have will come to the end this is why we live every second of our life to it's fullest this is what it means to be a human" as Subaru stated this fact rubbing Emilia's head slowly petting it she then looked towards him with bit confused look

" Reason we humans are so reckless sometimes is because of this single fact " he said with warm eyes

" But " Emilia wanted to say something but failed to think of anything

" Because your a half elf you can understand both perspectives well or in time you will i hope" he giggled with a bit sadness in his voice

Emilia looked back to him and asked " what do you mean by that " she had confused look on her face and bit worried look for she was not sure she liked where this is going

" What i mean is that we Humans can't be wasting time for anything for we don't have that much to waste we grow old really fast by your standards after all " He said with a giggle

Emilia then took a step back and looked at Subaru she then asked " Subaru i am not sure i like where this is going " with few tears falling down her face

" What i want to say is Simple will you consider to become a mother to my adopted daughter as well as my wife in near future but i can't wait forever remember i am still humans but i can wait for a little bit as long as it's not too long " responded Subaru like matter of a fact and at this Emilia felt like a huge weight was just lifted off her chest she then returned back into his embrace and said

" I still don't fully understand everything about relationship's or what it means to be your girlfriend but i don't mind on being mother figure for meiling i just hope i be good mother's figure for her " Blushing Emilia said them words remembering how kind and loving mother fortuna was to her and now it's her turn to act the same towards other was still new to her but Emilia was determined she can do this as she was imagining the future with him as well as his mess of a family

" For a record i want quarter elf child as well so you know " Subaru dropped this bomb shell of news on Emilia without even a hint of embarrassment in him

And Emilia who was now blushing mess just hugged him tightly and said " i wold like that as well in future too" at this pair exchanged a deep kiss with one another something that Emilia found to be really intoxicating even addicting

After a kiss how ever Subaru said " but first we got other mess to deal with perhaps after you officially take up my families name " asked Subaru as he looked into Emilia eyes who then in turn was contemplating something but soon decided

" Natsuki Emilia have pleasant ring to it i love to carry that name" responded half-elf with a glee in her voice as she hugged Subaru even tighter

As Emilia was hugging Subaru she forgot all of her worries and problems as his hart beat was calming to her and the warmth that was coming from his body was oh soo smoothing she felt her tear soaked eyes slowly close and she just fall a sleep

" I am so going to get used to this" whispers Subaru to himself as he cover half-elf and himself with makeshift blanket he made from his own clothes and went to sleep himself

As Subaru now fully and properly a sleep he got pulled into his room of shadows and there he seen another half-elf with silver hair who was looking at him with anger written all over her face

"It took me years to get you closer to me and she did so in few weeks why why why" half-elf was reaping word why over and over again in monotonous voice

" let's see how about she didn't instil fear into me she didn't crushed my hart and how about other little details " responded Subaru with raised eyebrow looking amused at jealous woman

Who then stopped dead in her tracks and holed up in a ball burying her own head inside her legs

Subaru walked up to her and sit next to her " and moment you stopped all that is moment you and i began to get along little better then before haven't we " as Subaru was saying this he leaned on her with his back on her's back at this She asked

" if you never met her or if i haven't..." eva was interrupted " you and i be husband and wife right about now " responded Subaru stating it as matter of a fact this hurt eva immensely as she make her own hands into a fist with enough force to make her own hand bleed

" I told this before sins and virtues have their own purposes one cannot exist without another and if one is missing you will suffer envy is no exception" as Subaru stated this matter of fact with clarity in his voice he leaned more onto half-elf girl who was sobbing

" moment you lose your virtue or your sin is moment you lose everything and it's really painful in getting it back you know how bad it was for me remember " Subaru turned around and hugged crying witch and then he petted her head

" For this concept of sin and virtue was never true" he said in amusement this got half-elf confused as she lifted up her head and looked towards Subaru in confusion

" sin are not inherently evil and virtues are not inherently good it's only called this way as it's more often leads to evil things for sins and leads to good things for virtues but because of this a sin can be more good then any virtue can ever hope to be at same time virtue can be more evil that any sin can ever dream of being " he stated as he given small kiss to her forehead

" Then can my sin be better then" asked confused witch looking toward boy " don't you paid any attention to everything i did so far that's my envy remember " he said as he pinched witches cheeks

At this revelation something Subaru said before yet witch just can comprehend it as more she thinks of this less sense it makes to her and just like times before her mind just shuts down almost like something is forcing her mind to shut down and so tella comes back out

As now tella is back in control she wasted no time and kissed Subaru with deep deep kiss and pushed him down towards the ground she then pulled off his trademark track suit top off only separating herself from him when it was absolutely necessary to breathe after what felt like eternity of pure bliss for both tella and Subaru she reluctantly let go off his lips but she instead hung him making sure to press her breasts to his chest to engrave sensation of herself to him

" i can't say i dislike this " as Subaru was saying this he grabbed tella behind and pulled her closer to himself

" I only making sure that i engrave my self into you " tella responded with serious expression on her face and with a hint off worried look

" your worried that i might forget you " asked Subaru with a tilted head and amused smirk

At this tella hidden her head inside his chest and with a bit off resignation she nodded her head

" you know your words and actions never really did align them self ever " giggled Subaru only to earn a pat to his chest from half-elf

" i am still witch of envy remember " looked tella towards Subaru attempting to make herself to look angry and failing miserably for Subaru found her cute

" so now you calling your self a witch you never did so when you and i first got together like this " asked Subaru with a bit off a wander on this

" well let's say not only eva that changed a little " responded tella with a giggle as she took off her own top and picked up Subaru then she threw him onto bed

What follow where was Subaru now describe as typical situation for him inside room of shadows but at the same time Subaru was worried for he still have stuff to deal with and few items to prepare for things to come and so Subaru enjoy his well needed quality time with his half-elfs both Emilia and tella.

(Authors notes: Well then this ends the hunt sorry for missive delay but i have ton off real life crap to deal with and cant really write much i do still write from time to time but it takes bit longer then my pervious chapters.

other things off note i am introducing few new gadgets for subaru and his crew to use as pride + wrath Subarus know a thing or two about how to craft ''metias'' and with help off Beatrice i believe its inevitable for him to make some for this and look forward to it as one he making for Beatrice to use is nice :P

second there is about month time skip before royal selection subaru used that time to improve his fort but improvements are yet completed how ever they are underway at same time he also made a ton off preparations for his meeting with other witches and i am looking forward to writing that :D
