I'm Sorceress Myst! I'm also known around the net as Paine the Wicked and atecwriter. I'm a ten-year veteran of fanfic writing and have improved over the years. Like all new writers, I've written god-awful plots, Mary Sues, and turned characters into OOC hyperactive mental patients on crack. But, I kept writing and realized that I could do better. Now I don't have OCs running around as the hero and the few that are there are not perfect or hated. My plots are better, if not captivating (it's up to you to judge though :D) and I try to keep the characters IC based on what I've observed or read from the game/anime/novel. Go ahead and take a look, the newer the fic, the better written it is.

One thing I dislike most in fanfics are Alternate Universes (mostly High School fics) and I did try to write one myself to better understand the appeal of writing one. Even though I had a few chuckles with it, I still don't like High School fics and I don't think 'Aquios High' is one of my better works. But I'm glad others liked it. As I promised, I turned that fanfiction into an original novel called 'Euri High' and it has the true ending to the fanfiction. However, I do love Alternate Realities. The difference between AUs and ARs is that in an AR, it's still the same universe, timeline, and characters, but there is something different about the original storyline. I'm more likely to write an AR or stand alone one-shots to experiment with a character's personality. Another thing about me is that I'm not against any pairings. I tend to like some canon pairings and sometimes I like crack pairings. I'm not against yaoi/yuri either, but it will be only implied in my stories.

Current Projects: I'm working on an original novel called Fatesbane: The Living Legend. It's the second book of the Fatesbane series and is fairly popular over on fictionpress. The first book Fatesbane: The Falucite Bride is complete on fictionpress and there is an uncut version on my wordpress. The Living Legend is still in progress.

Falucite Bride summary - The diviner said unto me 'You will be mated to a monster'. I told her she was full of it. I knew she made it up just to get rid of me. But now when I gaze at the man with the spiffy hat, I wasn't so sure anymore.

Living Legend summary - What comes from the sea must return to the sea. Something was calling me back…and a debt demands to be repaid. But tell that to my mate, who is willing to fight the gods themselves to keep me in his arms.

I'm also tinkering with a new FF9 fic idea that I will update sparingly between my work with Fatesbane. It's called Nameless and it's a Kuja-centric fic through the eyes of an OC genome that Kuja created in retaliation for Garland creating Zidane and exiling him to Gaia. Game Project: I'm working on a parody rewrite of the PC version of Final Fantasy VII. I call my masterpiece Final Fantasy VII AWESOME. I intend to edit the whole story and upload the file so that other owners of the game can play it. However I'm recording and uploading some of the scenes on YouTube for feedback.

First episode: Episode 1 (presently there are 23 episodes)

Final Fantasy VII AWESOME summary: Follow the formerly gender confused Cloud as he tries to find his masculinity while helping A.S.S. (Associates Searching for the Stash) fight the liquor hoarding Shinra Brothel. Will Cloud become a man? Or will he go back to his feminine ways? Anti-Cleris (but no Aeris/Aerith bashing), Tifa-Cloud-Barret triangle, Yuffentine, and Cloud-Sephiroth-Aeris triangle (in Sephiroth's mind). Implied Barret/Elmyra much later on in the story.
