AN: Enjoy!
"I am not sure this is a good idea.." Vision gulped, slightly nervous.
"Vizh, you'll be fine.." Wanda very carefully adjusted his tie. Not too loose, but not too tight.. Vision had been sensitive about anything around his neck since Thanos.
"How do you know? Going to the farm is one thing. There I can escape the crowd, go play with Morgan and Nate.. but this is a formal dinner, there's nowhere to escape to" Vision sighed. "What if I forget something important and embarrass myself?"
"Your memory's much better now than it was" Wanda reassured him. "And even if you do forget, it doesn't matter. Everyone knows what you've been through, they'll understand."
Vision was still clearly unsure.
"Maybe I should just stay home.."
"Sure. If that's really, really what you want, we can always change into our pajamas and watch Moana with Morgan for the millionth time. But.."
"I know, Wanda" Vision sighed again. "And you're absolutely right. After all the effort I put in to bond with my brothers, I do not want to miss their special day.. How are you right so often?"
"I'm not.." Wanda chuckled, leaning up to kiss Vision's forehead. "I just know you better than anyone."
"That is true.."
The dinner they were attending was a celebration in honour of Peter Parker and Harley Keener, to be attended by all the surviving Avengers (Well, all surviving Avengers currently residing on Earth), in order to officially welcome the boys to the team after their brave actions in Europe.
"You really have to try and relax, Vizh.." Wanda turned away, just for a moment, and Vision zipped up the back of her dress without her even having to ask. "Ti-am luat spatele. I've got your back, always. We're going, because you need to, for the boys.. But if it's really too much for you, we can leave early, come back home, and.."
"Watch Moana with Morgan?"
"Even if we leave dinner early, Morgan will probably be asleep by the time we get back" Wanda turned to face him with a slightly cheeky smile on her face, wrapping her arms around his neck. "But, there are a few other enjoyable activities we could do, just the two of us.."
"I see.." Vision leaned in, smirking a little. "Is it okay that I am suddenly even more eager to leave dinner early?"
"Baiatul meu obraznic.." Wanda smirked, leaning in to meet him.
"All yours" Vision agreed, capturing her lips in a kiss.
No matter what was bothering him, Wanda could always make him feel better.
Thankfully, it seemed that Wanda was right. Everyone knew what Vision had been through, and were happy not to ask too many questions of him. Vision had used his human disguise to fend off attention from the restaurant's other patrons, but even if he hadn't, it seemed most of the other customers were more focused on Bruce, who was stretched over three seats, Bucky's metal arm, and the strangely familiar elderly man sitting next to him who none of the customers could quite put their finger on, but everybody at the table recognised as Steve Rogers.
Mostly, the focus was on Peter and Harley's exploits in Europe. The boys were also the only ones to regularly draw Vision into the conversation, because he and Wanda had been present for and involved in said exploits. This Vision didn't mind so much. His memories of after his resurrection were solid, it was only life before that sometimes got a little fuzzy.
Everything was going well enough that Vision had almost forgotten about wanting to leave early, until Scott and Hope decided to make an announcement.
"Scott and I have some news.." Hope began. "We did think about waiting for another time, we didn't want to steal Harley and Peter's thunder, but.."
"We didn't know when we'd all be together again like this" Scott added. "At Clint's parties, everyone ends up so scattered around the place. Not a problem usually, but when you have big news you want to share.."
"Go ahead," said Peter eagerly. They could always use good news. "We don't mind, do we Harley?"
"Not at all" Harley smiled.
"Well.." Hope smiled, an unusually shy smile. "Scott and I are.."
"We're having a baby!" Scott burst out.
The couple, mostly Scott, launched into an explanation of how this wasn't exactly a planned event, after all, he and Hope had not technically been a couple all that long, but well, someone had slipped past the goal posts. And after everything everyone had been through they knew the future was never certain, and so, they could not bring themselves to feel anything but happy about their little surprise.
What followed was a lot of cheers and hugs and congratulations. And Vision joined in, because why would he not?
He was happy for Scott and Hope, he really was. But Vision also felt slightly ill, a strange, heavy feeling in his gut. So, when the congratulations were beginning to quiet down, he whispered to Wanda:
"Can we go home, please?"
Wanda took one look at his expression, and nodded, then quickly explained to their friends that Vision was tired, and they were going home.
After arriving back at the Lake House, Vision headed for their room, with Wanda close behind him.
"Are you okay, Vizh?" Wanda asked, slightly concerned, closing the bedroom door behind him. "It seemed like everything was going okay, but.."
Vision couldn't quite find the words to explain why he was upset, so instead, he turned and kissed her, deeply, hungrily.
Wanda was startled for a moment, but recovered quickly and kissed him back, her arms wrapping around his neck, a soft moan escaping her throat. She didn't stop him when he began undressing her, and began undressing him in turn, undoing his tie, unbuttoning his shirt and pushing it off his shoulders. She was here for Vision, whatever he needed, however he needed it.
They kissed and touched and tugged at clothes, until there were no clothes left to tug at, and they fell onto the bed in a mess of tangled limbs
Vision took the time to worship Wanda's body with his hands and his lips, kissing her ample breasts, suckled at them, revelling in the sound of her moans. He kissed the scars scattered over her skin, reminding her that they were not imperfections. Every single part of her was perfect to him.
"You are beautiful.."
"Vision.." Wanda whimpered slightly, squirming at his touch. She needed him now, as much as he needed her.
Vision crawled back up, settling his body over hers, pressing a heated kiss to her lips as he slipped inside her, a moan escaping him at the pleasant warmth of her. Wanda clutched at him, urging him to move, and he did so, setting a pace with quick, desperate thrusts.
Usually, this, making love to Wanda, being buried to the hilt inside her, was enough to make Vision feel better, whenever he was reminded that he was not, strictly speaking, human.
He felt it all, experienced it all the same way a human man would.
Vision could feel Wanda's warmth, the softness of her skin, the way he fit so perfectly inside her, like he was made just for her, which he often liked to believe he was.
He could feel the steadily building pleasure, knew just the way to angle his hips to enhance Wanda's pleasurable feelings.
He could hear Wanda's cries, mingling with his own laboured breaths.
He could hear her cry out, feel her clench and flutter around him when she came.
And usually, this made him feel better. Because if Vision could feel and hear and know all that, if he loved Wanda, so very, very much, how much less than human could he really be?
But this time, the thing that usually made Vision feel better only reminded him of what he lacked. When he came, he knew that he could not plant the seeds of new life in her womb. It was not possible for them to have a 'happy accident' like Hope and Scott.
Vision felt Wanda's hand on his cheek, found her looking up at him with soft, concerned eyes.
"Hey.." she whispered. "Are you okay?"
Vision managed a smile, carefully rolling off of her and drawing her into his arms.
"Yes. I am okay."
But though Vision was smiling on the outside, his insides felt heavy. He loved Wanda. But there were some things he would never be able to give her..
