AN: Enjoy!

Over the next couple of weeks, Wanda noticed that Vision was not quite himself. On the surface, Vision probably seemed fine.

He played with Morgan.

Video chatted with Peter and Harley.

Reviewed a few business accounts with Pepper.

Looked over Wedding plans.

These things were all a part of Vision's usual routine, so for someone who did not really know Vision, as well as Wanda did, nothing would have seemed amiss.

But Wanda did know Vision, more than well, she knew him deeply, intimately, knew absolutely all of him that there was to know, mind, body, and soul. And because of this, she knew that something wasn't right.

He wasn't smiling quite enough, and he just seemed.. Distant. Sad. Disconnected from his world.

Wanda wanted to know why, but she also didn't like to push. Vision knew he could tell her anything, didn't he? Of course he did.

Wanda would just have to hope that he would talk to her when she was ready.

Wanda didn't connect Vision's strangely distant behaviour with Scott and Hope's baby news until a little later.

She had been looking through their Wedding Plans so far. They'd decided on an outdoor ceremony some time ago, and Wanda was now trying to arouse Vision's interest in potential reception venues.

Prior to his recent bout of strange behaviour, Vision had been quite eager and excited to help Wanda plan their special day. Now, even though he was smiling and nodding and saying all the right things, the smiles seemed shallow, and Wanda couldn't help wondering if maybe she had done something wrong.

Yes, her initial plan had been simply to wait until Vision was ready to tell her what was bothering him, but Wanda was, well, insecure about a large number of things, and if she had done something wrong, she needed to know what it was, so she could do something to fix it.

She was about to ask him, when she was interrupted by a message on her phone.

"Oh, Scott sent a picture of Hope's sonogram.." Wanda couldn't help smiling, trying to show Vision the picture.

"How.. um.. How lovely.." Vision forced a smile. "If you would excuse me, Wanda, Darling, I think I may need some air.."

He got up, walking out of the lakehouse.

Wanda frowned, setting her phone aside, and followed.

She found Vision leaning against the railing of the back porch, gazing out to the lake.

"Vizh.." she said gently. "I've been trying to give you space, because you've been a little off, and I thought you might have needed it, but.. If something's wrong, you know you can tell me, right?"

"I.. I know.."

"Tu si cu mine pentru totdeauna.." Wanda reminded him. "You and me forever, remember? You can tell me anything."

Vision was quiet for a moment.

"How sure are you.. About marrying me?"

"I.. I'm more sure than I have ever been about anything" Wanda replied, feeling her heart sink. "Why? Do you.. Do you not want to marry me?"

Vision cursed himself as he realised his mistake.

"Oh no.. Wanda, that's not what I meant at all" He spun around to face her, taking her hands in his own. "Of course I want to marry you. Being with you is all I've ever really wanted. I didn't mean to upset you, that's not what this is about at all.."

"Then what is it about?" Wanda frowned.

"Well.." He hesitated.

"Vision, just tell me."

"It is.. Scott and Hope's baby.."

"The baby?" Wanda was confused.

"I know you are happy for them" said Vision. "Everybody is, and they should be, it is happy news. I am happy for them.. At least I hope I will be, eventually. But for now.. The news of a new baby on the way only reminds me of the things I can never give you.."

"Vizh.."

"And you deserve those things, deserve a family.." Vision continued. "Children of your own.."

"Vision.." Wanda cut him off, reaching up to cup his face in her hands, "We've talked about this. A family is so much more than blood. If it's something we want, we'll make it happen, somehow."

"I know.. But I can't help but wonder if I am really enough.. If you might not be better off finding someone who.."

"I'd love a little you, with tiny perfect blue eyes.. But that's just because I love you, and more Vision in the world would always be a good thing to me. Of course you're enough" she kissed him. "You've always been enough. You are my best friend, my soul mate.."

"You are those things to me, too.." Vision replied, still seeming unsure.

Wanda frowned, pulling him closer.

"You are everything to me, Vision.. All the things you're worried about not giving me, I wouldn't want them if I couldn't have you. Do you have any idea how much I.. how you make me feel, just by being here with me?"

"I.. well.."

"Do you trust me?"

"I do" said Vision. "Of course I do."

"Then maybe.. I should show you.." Wanda pressed her fingers to his temples, scarlet energy sparking around the tips.

Gently, more gently than she ever had with anyone else, Wanda probed Vision's mind, not to frighten him, or show him anything that wasn't real. She just wanted him to know the truth of her heart, in the clearest way she could.

Vision gasped, his eyes locking onto Wanda's. He could feel it all, everything she felt around him, warmth, safety, the purest, most beautiful love. He made her whole.

Vision recognised the feelings, because they were exactly the same as how he felt about Wanda. His own feelings flowed back to her through the newly forged connection, all doubled and amplified, a mixture of hers and his.

"Wanda.."

"Vision.."

She kissed him, and the whole world stopped, because the two of them, together, was exactly how things were meant to be.

It was lucky, they thought, later, that Pepper had taken Morgan out for the day, and no one else lived within sight of the Lake House, because, well, they would have copped quite an eyeful. Wanda and Vision were so consumed with each other, the link between their minds driving a sudden need to be even closer than they already were in that moment, to be connected in body the same way as they were in mind and soul.

(Sometime later, Vision would rather sheepishly hurry out to collect their things before Pepper and Morgan returned.)

Eventually, though, they did end up back in the safety and privacy of their bedroom, and at some point, Wanda ended up straddling Vision's lap and sinking onto him, but Vision could not pinpoint exactly when this had happened, as he already seemed to have forgotten where she ended and he began.

Vision was Wanda's, and she was his. They belonged together, they were one. So lost in each other that neither one of them noticed the scarlet glow of Wanda's engulfing them both, binding them closer still.

Every movement, every sensation, every rock of Wanda's hips, every gentle brush of Vision's lips against Wanda's skin, was doubled, echoed, enhanced, the connection of their minds causing them to feel each other's feelings as well as their own.

Vision had never felt more alive, more human, than he did just now, and Wanda had never felt more happy, more whole than when she was with him. They belonged together, they would never need anything more than this.

They moved together, rose together, higher, and higher, towards that peak of perfect bliss, and when they fell, they did that together too, both forgetting any word that was not the other's name.

Vision clutched Wanda to him, quite desperately, still shivering through occasional aftershocks. These were new to him, so it felt just a little strange, but pleasant.

"Sunt a ta.." Wanda whispered, breathless. "I am yours.."

"You are mine.." Vision whispered back. "And I am yours.."

"You are mine.." Wanda nodded, looking into his eyes. "And you will always be enough for me. If we really want a family, then somehow we'll have one, but it will just be.. Cireasa de pe port. The icing on the cake."

"I know.." a soft smile spread over Vision's face. "I know.."

They remained tangled together for quite sometime before Wanda gently broke the connection, although it was never truly broken, because Vision could always feel her, humming away at the back of his mind, a part of him.

He pressed a kiss to Wanda's forehead, then reluctantly disentangled himself from her, and climbed out of bed.

"Hey, where are you going?" Wanda pouted, grabbing for his hand.

"I won't be gone long" Vision chuckled. "But I should probably retrieve our clothes from the porch before Pepper.."

"Right.. hurry back" Wanda released his hand, smiling brightly, almost glowing.

Vision's heart fluttered, and he leaned down to kiss her again.

"I will hurry, I promise." He hurried off.

Wanda watched him, that same glowing smile on her face, but once he was out of sight, exhausted both from the effort of holding the magical connection between them, and the physical exertion of their lovemaking, she soon drifted off to sleep.

She dreamed of little Visions, with tiny, perfect blue eyes, and smiled in her sleep, one hand resting on her stomach.
