AN: Enjoy!

For the next few weeks, Wanda tried to keep Vision at the back of her mind, keeping her focus on spending time with her boys. Still, she couldn't help periodically checking her phone for Monica's promised updates.

Thankfully, Monica kept her promise.

She let Wanda know when Shuri had successfully repaired Vision's physical wounds, his crushed skull, the gashes on his chest. Let her know when she began the process of repairing Vision's mind. This, however, was very slow going, and there wasn't much to report for a while, except a daily message letting Wanda know that Shuri was still working.

Which was okay. Wanda could be patient, she could. She knew that something like this would take time. Or at least, Wanda could have been patient had she not been constantly in the company of two very curious four-year old boys. For four-year olds, 'patience' and 'waiting' were both rather abstract concepts, especially where the status of their Father was concerned. Wanda had told them she was going away to help bring Daddy home, and now they wanted to know where he was.

Wanda tried to explain, to answer Tommy and Billy's questions as best she could, in ways that their young minds could understand. Explained that Daddy had been taken away to a very special Hospital in another country, that Mommy's new friend was helping to look after him. Explained that all they could do for now was wait, and hope for the best.

But three days a week, during the few hours her twins spent away at Preschool, when Wanda had nothing to do except wade through housework, no children to distract her from all the waiting and hoping, Wanda felt her own patience beginning to wear thin.

She missed Vision. She had always missed him, but never more than now, when having him back felt so close, yet so far away. Wanda couldn't help thinking of how warm Vision's hand had been when she held it, and had almost convinced herself that his fingers had twitched. She wanted to remember what it was like to be held by him, and to hold him in return. Wanted him to experience the magic of holding her children.

Wanda felt guilty for the five years that Vision had spent in limbo, trapped somewhere between life and death. She knew she couldn't have done anything about it even if she had known sooner, and she knew that now, Shuri was probably working as fast as was safely possible. Still, as time passed with very little news, Wanda became increasingly anxious, and yes, just a little impatient.

Two days trapped in darkness had been more than enough for Wanda. She didn't want Vision to remain lost for any longer than he needed to be.

It was a little over a month and a half before Wanda got the call she'd been longing for. Shuri was just about ready to try and wake Vision up, but she would need a little of Wanda's power to manage it, so how soon could she get to Wakanda?

She thought about taking Tommy and Billy with her, but couldn't help being slightly concerned that even if everything went as well as she hoped it would, meeting the boys right away might be too overwhelming for Vision when he first woke up. So, she packed up the twins and their things once more, and drove them out to the Barton farm, where Monica and Shuri had arranged for a jet to pick her up.

"Are you going to go get Daddy?" Tommy asked, as she hugged the boys goodbye.

"Maybe.. Hopefully" Wanda replied. "We'll just have to see how it goes."

"If it goes good, can you give Daddy a hug from us?" asked Billy hopefully.

"Of course I can" She smiled softly. "And hopefully soon, you'll be able to give him a hug yourself."

Despite how slow the previous weeks had seemed to Wanda, things moved very fast once she arrived in Wakanda. Monica met her jet when it landed, and almost immediately led her to Shuri's lab, detouring only briefly to drop Wanda's things in the room that had been set aside for her.

"Let me tell you, that Princess gets really engrossed in her work" Monica explained as they walked, flanked by a pair of Dora Milaje. "Barely heard a word from her except when I pushed to get updates for you.. Since she realised she needed you to get things done, she's been pacing the lab and constantly asking when you were going to get here.."

"And why does she need me, exactly?" asked Wanda, a little nervous, as they entered the lab. "Something about my powers?"

"Exactly!" Shuri, appearing as if from nowhere, suddenly grabbed Wanda's hand, dragging her over to what looked like a high-tech hospital bed, connected to quite a few machines, in which Vision's body lay.

Much of his colour had returned, but paler than usual, like a regular human if they were ill. With his crushed skull and chest wounds repaired, and his eyes having been gently closed, Vision looked as if he were just sleeping.

"Oh Vizh.." Wanda whispered, taking his hand once more. This time, his fingers definitely twitched, along with his eyelids, and Wanda jumped, slightly startled.

"Yes! Just what I thought!" Shuri grinned.

"What did you think?" Wanda clutched Vision's hand, staring at his face, afraid to let herself believe what she had seen.

"I've repaired his mind as well as I could, and charged him up" Shuri explained. "The only thing missing is Mind Stone energy."

"But the Mind Stone is gone" said Monica, confused. "Isn't it?"

"The Stone itself, yes" Shuri continued. "But it's energy still exists in Wanda's powers. If she can give Vision a little bit of the Mind Stone energy that lives in her then.."

"I can wake him up.." said Wanda, her heart suddenly racing.

"That is the hope, yes" Shuri nodded. "It shouldn't take much.. Just a little push."

Wanda's heart swelled. She could wake Vision up, she could have him back, she could give her children their Father.

She let scarlet energy crackle around her fingers, pressing her glowing hands to his temples.

"Come on, Vision. Come back to me, please.."

After about five seconds that felt like five years (strangely appropriate, given how long Vision had been sleeping), Vision's eyes shot open, and he sat bolt upright, gasping. The speed of his movement caused Wanda to stumble, but Vision instinctively grabbed her arm to steady her.

"Wanda? W-What happened? Where.." His eyes suddenly widened. "Th-Thanos! Thanos is here, he.." Vision tried to stand, but stumbled himself.

Shuri and Monica rushed forward to help Wanda catch him, and the three women pushed him to sit back down.

"Easy, Vizh.." Wanda tried very hard not to let her emotions overwhelm her, wanting to stay calm, and be strong for him. This was not the time for her to cry, even tears of joy. "It's okay, Thanos is gone."

"W-We stopped him?" He looked up at Wanda with wide eyes. "We beat him? But I thought.. I remember.. He.. it was so dark. How am I here? I wasn't.. no-one was supposed to bring me back if I.."

"You weren't dead, Vizh" She told him, sitting beside him on the bed while Shuri and Monica quietly crept out of the room to give them both a moment. "You were just.. Sleeping. But now you're awake, and Thanos is gone, and everything is going to be okay, I promise."

"Oh.." Vision frowned, reaching out to touch Wanda's face. "Wanda, why are you crying?"

"Hmm? Oh, I didn't even realise that I was.." She scrubbed at her face, not wanting to worry him when he was still clearly in a fragile state. "Probably just allergies or something, it's pretty dusty outside the city.."

But now Vision was staring at her intently, his brow furrowed, studying every tiny detail of her face.

"H-How long ago was Thanos? How long have I been sleeping?"

"That.. might take a while to explain.." Wanda rested her head on his shoulder, unable to help moving closer to him.

"Could we just.. Sit for a bit?"

"Yes.." Slowly, shyly almost, Vision's arm moved to wrap around her. "That may be a good idea."

Over the next few days, as clearly and gently as she could, Wanda began explaining everything to Vision. The Decimation, his five years sleeping. The Time Heist, and how the Decimation had been reversed.

Some of these things Wanda explained in the lab while Shuri ran tests, but once Vision felt up to it, they went for walks in the palace gardens, arm in arm, Wanda talking while Vision listened intently. It was during one of these walks that Wanda officially introduced Vision to Monica, who had been out walking with her Mother, Maria, at the same time.

Once Shuri decided that Vision no longer needed to remain in the lab, he was given a room next door to Wanda's.. she hadn't wanted to put any undue pressure on him by making him share a bed, or even just a room, right away.

Just being able to spend time with Vision, to walk with him, speak with him, blush when he'd been brave enough to kiss her fingers, was enough for Wanda, for now. She hadn't told Vision about the twins yet, waiting, or maybe just hoping, for some wonderful, perfect moment to tell him, to show him the picture of them she was carrying in her pocket, specially chosen for exactly this occasion.

Wanda had to periodically leave Vision's company to make calls to, or take calls from the boys. However, because she had not told Vision about their children yet, he had, unfortunately, come to the wrong conclusion about the reason for the calls.

One afternoon, Wanda returned after one of said calls to where she'd left Vision waiting on a bench in the gardens, to find him wearing a strangely sad expression.

"Vizh?" She frowned. "What's wrong?"

"I think.. I think we need to talk, Wanda.."

"About what?" She sat beside him. Vision spoke like he had resigned himself to some unfortunate fate, which scared her a little.

"I.. I appreciate you coming here to help me through this time, but.." He took a shaky breath. "You do not have to stay.."

"Oh.." Her heart sank. "Don't you want me to stay?"

"I want that more than anything else in this world" Vision smiled sadly. "I had so many plans, so many things I wanted for you. Things I still want.. But it would be unfair of me to ask that of you. Five years is a long time, and I understand that you may have moved on.."

"What? No! Vision, there's no-one else, there's never been anyone else, I.. Oh" Wanda paused as realisation struck. "This is about the phone calls, isn't it?"

"Well.. That, and you didn't want to share a room.." Vision's gaze dropped, rather embarrassed, Wanda's reaction cluing him in to the fact that he had almost definitely come to the wrong conclusion.

"That was because I didn't want to put any pressure on you after what you've been through.." Wanda's expression softened.

"Oh.. I'm sorry Wanda, I.. Mmm.." When Vision lifted his head to look at her, Wanda kissed him, the first kiss that they had shared since his awakening. It was soft, and gentle, but full of love. When she pulled away, Vision was smiling, the most wonderful smile, and she couldn't help smiling back.

"I love you, Vision. Just you. But, there is something I need to tell you, and it has to do with why I need to call home a lot.."

"What is it?"

"Well.." She paused, suddenly nervous. "A-After Thanos, the first time, not the Time Heist.. I found out that I was pregnant."

"Pregnant?" Vision's eyes widened. He hadn't thought it would be possible, but he knew Wanda would not have cheated on him, so there was only one option. "With my.."

"Yes.." Wanda nodded, tears prickling in the corners of her eyes as she pulled the photo out of her pocket, a family snap of Wanda and the twins that Clint had taken for her on their most recent Birthday. "You're a Daddy, Vizh.. This is Tommy, and that's Billy.. Named after Shakespeare, because you loved him so much.."

Vision tenderly took the photograph from Wanda's hands, tears prickling in his own eyes. Wanda watched as Vision's whole world shifted, her heart swelling with joy as she witnessed the moment he fell as completely in love with their children as she had the first time she held them.

"Wanda.. They are perfect.." Vision's finger gently traced the boys' faces.

"Mostly.." Wanda chuckled, wiping the happy tears from her eyes. "Although you might end up rethinking that statement when they're jumping on your stomach at 5AM.."

"My stomach is laced with vibranium. They can jump on me as much as they like" Rather reluctantly, Vision tore his eyes away from the picture to look at Wanda. "W-When can I meet them? I understand it may be difficult, when I have been absent from their lives for so long.."

"That's not your fault" Wanda gave his hand a comforting squeeze. "The boys can't wait to meet you, I've been telling them all about you since they were born. We should check with Shuri that it's alright to take you home, but after that, you can see them as soon as you're ready.

"I am ready now.. They have been waiting for too long."

"Okay" Wanda grinned and kissed his cheek, her heart so full she thought it might burst. "Let's go talk to Shuri."
