Towards sunset, Rafe and Danny's D-25 were still in the air as they flew east along with Toothless and Windshear behind them.
Rafe works on the radio trying to get the beacon working, but so far nothing.
"We're still not getting a signal." Rafe said.
"All land and no ocean." Danny said. "Homing in on nothing."
They continued flying as the sun lowers.
"How many cans of fuels we got left?" Rafe asked looking back.
"These are all empty!" The Anchisaurus said moving aside the empty cans.
"Is this all you got?" Red asked grabbing a remaining can.
"It's all we got, Red." The Anchisaurus said.
"Rafe! You better pray we make it!" Red said.
"We'll be lucky if we make it to the coast." Toothless said.
Elsewhere over Equestria, Doolittle's plane was still flying as another D-25 was with them and Hookfang.
"Break radio silence." Doolittle said.
He then grabs a microphone.
"I'm sorry, gentlemen." Doolittle said. "You're all brave souls."
Rafe and Red listened.
"Among the bravest I've ever had the privilege of flying with."
"But we're on our own." Doolittle said.
Danny uneasily turns to Gooz.
"This really was a suicide mission." Rafe said.
Back on Isla Sauro, Evelyn was in concern.
Back over at Equestria, the 2 D-25s continue flying along with Toothless and Windshear and then one of Rafe's D-25's engine started to sputtered.
"Engine one's fluctuating." Red said. "We're gonna lose it any minute."
Rafe then pulls back the handle to start it up again.
"Rafe, you gotta prime it." Red said.
"I'm priming it." Rafe said putting the engine throttle up again. "How about now?"
The engine soon starts up again, and then Rafe noticed something straight ahead.
"I see the coast." Rafe said. "I see the coast!"
Clearing the clouds, the distant coastline started to appear into view.
"Copy that, Rafe." Danny said seeing the coastline as well.
"Coastline, straight ahead!" Windshear said.
"We're gonna make it." Danny said.
"Yep." Gooz said.
"Danny, follow me now." Rafe said through his comm. "We can make this. I can see the coast, right now. It's only a few miles out. Follow me."
"We're following you, Rafe." Danny said. "We gotta find a soft landing spot."
They begin to head to the coastline.
"I'm pushing up on 2." Rafe said. "Fellas, this is gonna be a hard landing. Hold on! I see a plain, right there. I'll bring it in right here."
Then the left engine died completely.
"Oh, gosh, engine one's dead." Red said. "We're gonna lose engine two any second."
With one remaining engine, they continued flying as they started to descend.
"We can make it in." Rafe said. "Easy. Pull it back, we'll glide in. Go in on fumes."
They started to descend as they glide, and soon flew through a layer of mist as they soon cleared the mountains and then suddenly lights of a nearby city were seen.
"Bogeys!" Rafe yelled out through his comm. "We got bogeys all over the place!"
Danny and Gooz soon saw the city.
"It's a whole city! There's bogeys everywhere, Danny!" Rafe yelled. "Land somewhere else!"
Danny quickly works the controls and quickly pull up to avoid being seen.
"Strap yourselves in boys!" Rafe yelled. "We're coming in hard! We're a deadstick!"
"GET OUTTA THE NOSE!" The Anchisaurus yelled.
Ripley, Revvit and Ace quickly hurry out of the nose.
"Hold on, boys!" Rafe yelled. "We're going down!"
Revvit and Ace quickly crawled away from the nose as Ripley hurried.
"Watch the trees!" Rafe yelled.
The D-25 continues gliding through as it as long cleared the city as it's engine sputtered.
Rafe and Red worked the controls as they near the snow-covered plain as Ripley crawled through the space and Revvit and Ace got to safe spot.
"BRACE!" Revvit yelled.
The D-25 glides closer to the ground as Rafe pulls hard on the controls as the plane glides to the ground. And then the D-25 hits a ledge of ice hitting the ground with a crashing thud and skids across the ground.
Ripley screamed as sparks flew and Revvit and Ace held on.
"OH, GOSH!" The Anchisaurus yelled.
The D-25 skids across the ground as snow and other debris were tossed into the air as the windshield shattered. Everyone held on for dear life as the plane soon skids to a stop.
Smoke soon clears as everyone started to recover.
"Everyone all right?!" Rafe called out as Red coughed.
"I'm okay." The Anchisaurus said.
"You okay, Ace?" Revvit asked.
"As fun as it was, I'm glad to be on the ground again." Ace said.
"I'm okay." The Anchisaurus said. "Where's Ripley?"
"He's dead." Rafe said.
Rafe and Red begin to climb out through the cockpit.
"Watch for bogeys." Rafe said.
They climbed out of the plane as they continued coughing and gasped.
"Okay, the coast can't be too far away." Revvit said. "Should be another mile or 2."
Nearby, shadows were seen as they approached the crashed plane. And it was a whole group of them.
"Incoming!" Rafe yelled.
"Take cover!" Red yelled.
Then laser beams fired at them as they ducked behind the side of the plane and they started to fire back at them. But due to the low level of light, they couldn't see if they were Changelings or not. And screams were heard among the fire shots and they did see a Changeling-like shape through the group but couldn't tell what they were.
"Who's got extra magazines?" Rafe asked removing the empty magazine from his gun.
"I got 'em!" Red said holding several.
"We gotta get up into those hills, find the coast." Rafe said reloading his gun.
The unknown group continued firing as they begin to move closer.
"They got us pinned down!" Rafe said.
They kept firing as then rapid gunfire appeared and hit near the group as some were hit and other got out of the way as another D-25 and Indom's airship came right at them.
Rafe watched as the 2 aircraft then hit the ground hard, and then realized the D-25 was Danny's plane.
"DANNY!" Rafe yelled and got up.
"Rafe! Rafe, no!" Red yelled.
"Danny!" Rafe yelled.
"Rafe! You don't have a chance!" Red yelled.
Some of the unseen figures got up and then started firing as Rafe then shot one of them as they hurried across the plain.
"Oh, Gosh." Rafe said as gunshots were heard. "Danny! Come on!"
Rafe hurried to the down aircrafts as Red and the Anchisaurus followed him.
Flames burned as they got to the down planes.
"Gooz? You OK, man?" Red asked.
"Danny?" Rafe called out and then saw Anthony on the ground dead. Aw, shoot, Anthony?" He checked his pulse.
"Gooz!" Red yelled quickly getting to him. "Can you hear me?"
"Yeah." Gooz groaned.
"Come on." Red said.
Then a side door came down as Indom rams through it and climbs out along with Tyrant and Skya. And soon Toothless and Windshear landed near them.
Soon, Rafe found Danny.
"Danny. Aw, easy, easy, easy." Rafe said.
"I've had better landings." Danny said in pain.
"You saved us back there." Rafe said.
"I got something in my neck." Danny said as a piece of metal was pierce in the side of his neck.
"Let me pull this out." Rafe said.
"Where is Gooz?" Danny asked.
"He's fine." Rafe said. "He's right over there."
Nearby, an unseen group begins to approach them.
Rafe continued slowly pulling the metal piece from Danny's neck, and then Tyrant picked up a scent from close by.
"INCOMING!" Tyrant yelled.
"Engage!" A voice yelled.
Suddenly, rapid lasers shot fired at them as they quickly turned and ran as they continued firing at them. And then suddenly, a large light blue laser ball was fired as it struck the ground near Indom, and the explosion throws her off her feet as she roared and hits the ground.
The flash casted her shape for a moment, but the unseen group didn't made out what she was.
"What is that?" A voice among the group was heard.
Indom soon recovered and quickly got to her feet and flees with the others as the group kept firing. Indom roared as she vanished into the night along with the others as the lasers continued firing, and any guns they had fired back as the shots continue. And then 2 lasers struck Danny in the chest, and then Toothless roared out loudly and then fires a blast towards them as it hits the ground.
"Fall back! Fall back!" A figure in the group yelled. "Go, now!"
They then retreated.
Then Danny drops to the ground.
"Danny. Danny!" Rafe said and quickly rushed over to him. "Danny! Oh!"
Danny gasped in pain as Rafe stayed by his side.
"Hold on!" Rafe said.
"Rafe!" Danny said in pain.
"Hold on, now." Rafe said as Toothless handed him some bandages. "I got you. You're all right. You're all right."
"I'm not... I'm not gonna make it." Danny said.
Rafe looked at his wounds and knew they were bad.
"Oh, yes you are." Rafe said. "Yes, you are. Now look at me."
"Rafe, I'm so cold." Danny said shivering. "I'm so cold."
"He's not last long." Skya said.
"You're all right. Hey." Rafe said trying to keep himself from crying.
"Hey, Rafe?" Danny said. "Can you do me a favor?"
"What?" Rafe asked.
"Can you have someone else write my name on the tombstone?" Danny asked.
"You're not gonna die." Rafe said. "Look at me, listen to me. You ain't gonna die, you hear me? Danny. Danny, you can't die. You can't die." He started crying. "Please."
"I'm sorry." Danny said weakly.
Danny shook more, and soon his life fades away.
"Danny, Danny?" Rafe said. "Danny? Please, please! Please. Gosh."
Everyone else remained sadly silent of their friend.
"Please, Danny." Rafe cried and sobbed and held his best friend's body.
An hour later, a Saurian group arrive and went over to them.
A Saurian flag flew through the wind as on Isla Sauro, many gathered for the return of the raiders, including Evelyn.
A door of an aircraft opened as Doolittle came out, and soon the others came out as some had bandages as other family members waited.
Soon, Rafe came out as Evelyn smiled. Rafe remained all sadden as then he helps a wooden casket out as Evelyn knew something wasn't right.
The casket was brought out as Evelyn went over to them and saw Danny's jacket on the casket and soon hugged Rafe.
"When the action is over and we look back, we understand both more and less."
A number of Navy nurses stood side-by-side along with Evelyn.
"This much is certain. Before the Doolittle Raid, Sauro knew nothing but defeat."
Evelyn was then given a medal as she soon saluted.
"After it, there was hope and victory. The Changelings realized for the first time that they could truly lose and began to pull back. Sauro realized she would win, and surged forward."
On a ship, Dorie was given a medal for his bravery and selfless act during the attack, and he then saluted.
"It was a war that changed Sauro. And the world. Dorie was the first of his kind to be awarded the Navy Cross.
Roosevelt soon gave Rafe a medal, along with Toothless and Windshear.
"But he would not be the last. He joined a brotherhood of heroes."
Rafe then saluted and turns to Doolittle.
"That's for all the raiders." Doolittle said.
Rafe lightly smiled.
The water stirred from a passing ship.
On the seabed, the ISS Apato lies in her resting place 40 feet underwater.
"Saur War II for us began at Saurian Harbor, and 1,177 souls still lie entombed in the battleship Apato. Sauro suffered, but Sauro grew stronger. It was not inevitable. The times tried our souls, and through the trial, we overcame."
3.5 years later, on mainland Equestria, a little Velociraptor went up to a Memorial with the names of the lives that were lost from the attack of Saurian Harbor, and another of those who died in the Doolittle Raid.
Close by, Rafe and Evelyn watched now together as with them was an Alicorn pony named Twilight Sparkle watched as well. She had violet eyes, purple mane and tail with a purple and hot pink streak, lavender coat, and a cutie mark of a 6-pointed star 2 smaller white stars.
Twilight was touched as she watched, and knew how much of a close friend Danny was to Rafe. And to her, he truly sounded like the bravest raptor she wish to meet.
Rafe then went up to son.
"Hey, Danny, how'd you like to go flying?" Rafe asked.
Little Danny smiled and pointed to a plane as Rafe laughed.
"Come here." Rafe said and holds him up.
And he and Evelyn walked off, and Twilight turns to the Memorial once more.
"Rest in peace, Danny." Twilight said.
She then walks off.
A red plane flew through the air as Rafe flew it as little Danny was in with him.
And Rafe held an arm over him.
And the plane continues flying off.

A door opened as a number of dinosaurs and dragons in a room turned as a Dromaeosaurus nicknamed Best came in.
"Welcome aboard Enterprise." Best said. "You're replacing good members. Much earlier than me or the Navy wanted, but... Well, that's the hand we've been dealt. Now, you're going in the rotation, and as XO, it's my job to make sure you're worth more than a bucket of warm spit. The enemies are waiting for us, so we need pilots who can hold their own."
Then the door opened as they turned and saw a Dracorex named Dickinson.
"Hey. You gotta see this." He said.
Confuse, Best heads over as a Velociraptor got up.
Outside, on the carrier deck, a number of dinosaurs and dragons stare at the distance.
And saw something of a fearsome sight.
Nearby, another carrier was hauling 12 aircraft as the time has come for the Isla Sauro dinosaurs to reclaim their original ancestral homeland.
20 MILES EAST OF EQUESTRIA
"What the heck are army planes doing on a carrier?" Dickinson said.
More came onto the deck as Best turns to the captain's quarters.
"Well, Mr. Browning, the commander of those aircraft?" A Velociraptor named Halsey said to a Coelophysis. "Lieutenant Colonel Tyrant. Maybe the best fleet leader seen. And she intends to launch her planes off the Plesio, strike Canterlot, and then reclaim our old home."
"Captain?" A Pachycephalosaurus said.
Browning turns to him as he salutes, and he soon gives Browning a file.
"Equestrian boat 5 miles out." Browning reported. "It's gonna blow our cover."
"Every mile we get Tyrant closer to Equestria, is fuel she can use to get the heck out of there if something went wrong." Halsey said. "But I'm not gonna risk these carriers."
"What do we tell Tyrant?" Browning asked.
"The truth." Halsey said and walks off.
On the Plesio's flight deck, Tyrant heads out to meet with the assigned members by her aircraft.
"We got the order to launch." Tyrant reported.
"How far out are we?" Blue asked.
"Another 20 miles to the coast." Tyrant said. "But if we raid Canterlot, we'll be the first enemy in Equestria's history to hit their home territory. If any of you want to bow out, now's your chance."
The members turn to each other.
"We all wanna fly, ma'am." Blue said as they all nodded.
"Man your planes." Tyrant said. "I'll see you all in Canterlot."
They all begin to head to their assigned planes.
"They can't take off." Dickinson said as they all watched. "Certainly not with a load. And they sure as heck can't land."
The lead aircraft with Tyrant, Blue, Delta, Echo and Charlie begins to roll forward.
"10 gold pieces says they don't make it off the deck." A Stygimoloch said.
"Yeah, I'll take that bet." Best said.
The aircraft rolls to a stop, and Tyrant then puts the engines to full throttle as they waited.
Then, the flight instructor held the flag out as the brakes were released and the aircraft rushed across the deck. Then a wave crashed at the ship's bow as the aircraft vanished within it and the flight instructor tries to see them.
The aircraft soon clears the wave, and it's landing gear retracts and begins the long flight to Equestria.

Author's Note:
I felt like bringing an end-credits scenes of what might happen just hours before the events of 2017 film. So, I thought of the Doolittle Raid takeoff from Midway, another World War II film I like.
Also, last week on Sunday, I went to a reptile show with my mom, and seen lots of reptiles there last the last one. Held a Ball Python, Crest Gecko, another Ball Python and it rested on my shoulders. Even saw an albino Burmese Python, and some alligators and chameleons, Sand Boas, a Hippo skull, and I also held the world's longest snake, the Reticulated Python. It was a little one, and even got another Day Gecko and recently just named her Emerald. And Emerald and Draco seem to be getting along okay.
I think.
Also, I even had a 2 year old Burmese Python on my shoulders. Oh, and saw something I didn't know about: A Monkey-tail Skink. I never even heard of them before till then. There was even a Red Kangaroo joey.
I mean, I know some people would own large constrictors like anacondas, pythons and the large boas. But I think I'd rather stick to normal-size pet ones like Ball Pythons, kingsnakes, that sorta thing. I rather not own a snake over 20 feet and has the strength to crush the life out of me.
