Author has written 12 stories for Lab Rats, 2012, K.C. Undercover, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Haven, and Dog with a Blog.

Important Messages:

All of my stories are up for adoption, even if they are finished. Feel free to write more on them if you feel truly inspired to do so. As long as you give proper credit, I'd love to see where you take my stories.

Always feel free to PM me for anything. I welcome everyone and everything, whether it's venting about a bad day from a total stranger to having a long character analysis with someone I've known for forever. Whatever you need to talk about, you can talk to me about if you feel comfortable enough to.

I'm just going to put a disclaimer here so that I don't have to repeatedly put one on every chapter of every story. I don't own anything except my stories, poems, OCs, ideas, etc. I don't own Lab Rats, Rise of the Guardians, Percy Jackson, etc. If I own something, I'll probably tell you, or it will be obvious.

Polls! I have a poll, and it would really help if you voted. If you can't, shoot me a PM or review with your vote, and it will be taken into account. I really appreciate it! Thanks! EDIT: Thanks for all of you who have voted so far! I'll probably keep up this poll for a while, if not forever while I still have stories to post. Once I do start a story from there, however, I'll take off the option from the poll. Just a heads up. Keep up the voting! 'preciate it!

Unfortunately, for my Daughter of Daedalus readers, I lost that document on my computer. I've spent hours trying to recover it, but I haven't been able to, and I believe it's pretty much a lost cause trying to retrieve it. That doesn't mean the story is over though. It just means that I'll have to rewrite what I can and that it will probably be a lot slower on updates because it's no longer pre-written. Please be patient with this story. I know some of you must be really upset (believe me, I'm just as angry with myself as you are; I spent countless hours of writing and researching and looking back through the PJO books for that thing), but just hold on for a bit. Okay? I am really sorry. I'll try my best to recapture the original while also making it better. I can't tell what's going to happen in the future for this story, but I promise I'll try my hardest to make it up to you guys.

Hey guys, and welcome to Crystal Introduces: Herself. I'm thegirlofthoughts. I'm new here. I'll try to keep this short and sweet (like me). There's a lot to know about me, but I'll leave most of the "getting to know me" bit for you guys through my stories. I like many different things and am part of many different fandoms, so you'll see me practically everywhere, but I mostly keep up with Lab Rats. I've been a silent reader for a while now and have been writing fanfics for a while as well, so most of my stories could have been written days to years ago; I've only lately been able to get an account and post stories. I'm very passionate about writing and reading alike and am very excited about sharing my stories with the world.

I'm weird.

MORE TO COME.

Fanfiction Style:

So, this is kind of my personal preferences of writing/reading in general. I'll only read and write T and down. I usually rate a lot of my stories T just to be safe. Most of the time, they have action, injury, deep subjects, complex ideas, etc. I don't write about anything too bad though, or that's what I like to believe anyway.

My writing style is pretty complex. I usually have a "movie" playing in my head of the scene I'm writing with "voices" of characters, and I try to convey it with words as best as I can. I like the idea of imagery and sensory details. I try to keep my vocab relatively simple so that it can be read by a wider group of people. My motto: If I can't understand the word, I probably shouldn't put it in my writing. I like to put short, snappy sentences and fragments for dramatic effect. And I try to have a lot of action and dialogue instead of just description of the scenery or whatever. In my experience, people (including me) have fairly short attention spans and want to know what happens instead of how or where it's happening. I like to be entertained while reading, so I try to keep that in mind while writing. I love writing, reading, and describing emotions, action, pain and death (strange, I know), etc. I also love writing figurative language. Metaphors, hyperboles, parallelism, etc. are like my best friends. I try to make things very poetic and emotional, something that cuts deep and tells the truth you didn't know you needed to hear. I teach lessons with my stories; I have to have a meaning, a "why?".

I like constructive criticism (emphasis on constructive). I'm generally a sensitive person who is very insecure and doesn't like when people point out my mistakes and "fail" me in their mind when I've tried my best. But I've been trying to "toughen my shell" a bit cuz I'm getting older and need to stop taking things so personally and seriously. (And this is me speaking personally. I'm not saying anything about people who seem "sensitive" or "emotional" or whatever. I know how you feel and want you to know that there's nothing wrong with being like that. You're perfect just the way you are because you are you and you are perfect.) I can totally understand and appreciate constructive criticism though. As long as your intentions are pure and your words are polite, I know that you're just trying to improve the story. In that case, thank you for taking time, thought, and effort into reading and critiquing my story to make it better.

For anyone who needs advice, I'd just say to write what comes natural. Write what you like, what you're best at. Write whatever is inspiring at the moment. Don't force and squeeze words out. Words need to flow and come freely to you. If you have writer's block, open a new document/paper and start writing whatever comes to mind. Just start writing, however random it turns out. If that doesn't work and you truly cannot write, stop. You don't have to write; no one's forcing you to write right at this very moment. If you need a break, take it. Go out and find something inspiring. Rediscover why you love writing so much. Think. Dream. Feel.

So, for cover art, I have my own for now. For the story cover art, there are two "bears." The plain one means the story is still in progress. The crazier, more doodle-y one means that it is complete.

I'm not beta-d or anything. All of my mistakes are my own. Sorry for any of those OCD people like me or grammar police. I'm still human.

I don't really review other people's stories. I don't know why. I just... I kinda feel like it's not appropriate for me, a beginner, to critique someone else right now. I don't know. I was a silent reader for a while. I guess old habits die hard. I also don't Favorite authors or stories right now. There's just so many, and I wouldn't know what to do with myself. And I don't really copy/paste those messages from other people's profiles, even if I believe in them. I don't do a lot of things, now that I think about it. Maybe I'm lazy. Maybe I'm shy. Maybe I literally have no time. I dunno.

Also, these line breaks can be so broken sometimes!

Message from my story "Freezing Cold":

Oh, and more importantly, thank you guys so much. I was kinda nervous about publishing my writing and "putting myself out there" and such, but I've gotten what feels like a lot of support so far. I'm just going to say it now and have it speak for me for as long as I'm here. Thanks a million times for supporting a newbie-amateur writer like me. I'm the type of person to see a few mistakes in my first story and bang my head against a wall and beat myself up over it, but you guys have made me feel like "Maybe I'm doing alright. Maybe I can do good. Maybe I'm not as bad as I tell myself I am." Even a few nice words in a review can make someone's day ten times better. You guys are swell.

heartsign

Message from my story "Plan B":

So...now that people are really starting to review, I know I'm gonna have to address them in my author's message or whatever. Here's the deal: I'm going to save those for the end. I want to keep the A/N at the beginning for the important notes so that people who just want to read the story don't have to scroll down forever and that they'll know that the beginning A/N will be for everyone. After the story, I'll put in the replies to reviews for those who want individual feedback or just to read what's on the minds of the readers and writer.

Future Stories:

I haven't been writing or getting ideas a lot lately due to school and being busy and writer's block, but once I do start writing more regularly again, I'll be posting more here. Otherwise, most of my stories are pre-written. And most of the "In-progress" ones haven't been touched in a while, and it would take some encouragement for me to start on them again. Also, I have a lot more stories and a lot more fandoms, but I don't know if I'll ever post them.

Donald Davenport may be arrogant and egotistical, but at least he cares enough about the world and his children to be cautious. That's why I'm here. I'm here in case any of the three bionics get injured or go missing or...well, can't go on missions. I'm the safety net. I'm the back-up. I'm the failsafe. I am Hannah. I am Plan B.

Short. That only made him stronger. Emotional. That only kept him in touch with himself and others. Ugly. That only made people focus on what's on the inside. Different. That only meant he was a special, unique individual who was true to himself. Never going to get a girlfriend. That only meant he took love more seriously. Depressed. Chase wasn't going to let that stop him.

Bree was gone. Fine. They could do this. They could do this without her. It was a simple mission. Get in, save people, don't die, get out. But simple doesn't necessarily mean easy. One of them was trapped. One of them wasn't even bionic. One of couldn't accept what was happening. No, this wasn't going to be easy.
