I love reading and writing fanfiction. What I can't STAND are the ridiculous misconceptions.

Like first-time lemons. Seriously. Not every virgin on the planet has an intact hymen. In fact, few do. If you do, then you must never move. It can tear from everyday activity, and you never even feel it. It can be torn with tampons. The pain of losing your virginity isn't your hymen tearing, it's the penis inside your previously unused and unstretched vagina! Jesus.

Also, All-Seeing Alice in Twilight. She doesn't see EVERYTHING. Some visions come to her, yes. But not every moment of every damn day. I mean Christ. Sure, she looks for some things. Sure, she's never wrong. But she doesn't see EVERYTHING. Some things slip through the cracks.

Then there's the bodysnatchers. Because, I'm telling you, for some of these fanfictions to occur realisticly there had BETTER be body snatchers. Because Edward isn't going to sleep with Alice and then try and kill Bella for leaving him. Esme isn't going to have sex with Rosalie or Edward or... just no. She considers those her children. Eww.

And then affairs within the family. Honestly. The only two who could succesfully cheat without strapping a werewolf to their backs are Edward and Alice. And it certainly couldn't happen in the house. Vampire hearing? Hello! You think no one would hear someone having sex?

Then there are fics where in a matter of days two of the characters break of previous relationships, fall in love with each other, have sex, and decide to get married. I mean, what are they? Twelve? NOTHING moves that fast. Nothing lasting at least. Certainly not without extenuating circumstances. And them being sexy sexy awesome frickin vampires does not count as extenuating circumstances.

That being said, you can safely assume my own fics and my favorites won't contain any of that utter CRAP.
