Greetings, children of man, I am World Paradox, and for now at least I am the guardian of thy world. Ye may not knowest this but thy world is in great danger. The balance of life and death that has resided in thy world since the dawn of time has become distorted and as a result the dead now walk amongst the living, bringing only chaos wherever they roam. I have tasked ye, children of man, to find the source of the distortion and repair the balance within thy world. A team of nine gifted individuals is required to accomplish this task. These are the selected inidivduals who shall undertake this task, along with one individual who shall guide them into the mysterious world of the dead, known as Limbo:

Miyazaki, Takuya (MC)

Appearance: He is of average height and weight, and has lightly tanned skin from years of living close to coast line back in Los Angeles. His eyes are a dazzling green, and his usual hairstyle is a tangled mess of black and dyed blonde curls.

School Uniform: He wears the standard Yousha Academy male uniform with no alterations whatsoever. But he does keep his Yin-Yang necklace tucked underneath his shirt's collar.

Reaper Mantle: Sin Eater

Reaper Eyes: The Eyes of Endings. They allow the user to perceive the death surrounding any living thing in the form of a black butterfly. The black butterfly will appear anywhere where death is near and only the user of the Eyes of Endings can see them; the closer and more certain the death is, the more black butterflies appear.

Some of you die-hard Persona fans who have played or watched playthroughs of the three games that Atlus has disavowed: Persona 1, Persona 2: Innocent Sin, and Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, might recognize the concept of the black butterfly being used before, and are already guessing at what it represents. Well I'm not confirming or denying anything for the sake of spoilers, but I will say that I am not Atlus. P1 and the P2 Duology were the start of the Persona franchise and are very good games with amazing stories and characters, so I intend to give them their day in the sun. They are connected to this story too, just as P3, P4, and P5 are. And you can expect to see more references to that fact in the future.

Reaper Costume: He wears a black hoodie with the hood up, that has a design of a human skeleton's torso on the front of it. And on the back of the hoodie the words Sin, Baby Sin are stitched in bright blue. He also wears a pair of black trousers that have blanket stitches all over them for an added design. And he also wears a pair of tennis shoes with a scythe decal on the side of them that sort of looks like the Nike logo.

Reaper Weapon: Original Sin. A scythe that has a long black handle that is shaped like a cross, and a shiny black and red colored blade. The blade also has the words Original Sin etched into it. This scythe signifies the ancestral sin of humanity. In mythology, a Sin Eater takes on the sins of the departed and cleanses their souls through certain rituals. Therefore the weapon at his disposal seems appropriately named.

Reaper Tattoos: His Skeleton Key Tattoo is a dazzling bright blue in color. His Summon Tattoo is the same color as his Skeleton Key Tattoo and its design consists of a skull and cross bones with two scythes replacing the bones and an added pair of wings to the back of the skull.

Persona: Zenbyou. He has a lanky light black torso, which is so thin that you can see his ribs and bones. He also has a pair of large black skeletal wings which are spread open pretty much all the time. He wears a dark black cloak that is slightly open, allowing you to see his torso, and he also has a set of flaps in the back of it that allow his wings to fit through. His fingers and toes are very long and have sharp talon-like nails on them. His cloak's hood is always worn down so you can make out his face. His face is an extremely pale white, and he has a malicious looking smile and a pair of blood red eyes. His ears are pointed, almost goblin-like, and he has black spiky hair. He also carries a large black scythe with a skull topper that has the scythe's blade pop out of its teeth, the blade is sharp to the touch and so shiny that it it's reflective.

Zenbyou's appearance is based off of the Shinigami, Ryuk, from Death Note. I was originally going to call him Shinigami but I thought that would be kind of lazy so I made up a name for him instead. So if you can't find any mention of Zenbyou anywhere, that's because there isn't any. His name comes from the combination of kanji: 斬 (Read as zen or several variations in the on'yomi kanji dialect, meaning to decapitate or behead. It can also be read as kiru in the kun'yomi kanji dialect, meaning to cut, slice, etc. But Kirubyou didn't really have a nice ring to it so I chose the former) and 病 (Read as byou in the on'yomi kanji dialect, meaning disease or -apathy. I've typically heard it pronounced this way more than than kun'yomi dialect, yamu, but they mean the same thing). Fun Japanese fact: even though on'yomi kanji is used more when studying Japanese, in dictionaries or research websites it's written in katakana instead of hiragana which makes translating very difficult! So anyway, in the end Zenbyou's name written in Japanese would be like this - ゼンビョウ. In case you couldn't tell, I took Japanese as my second language in college.

Appearance: He has sandy brown hair and sea-foam green eyes. He's also short enough to look like he's in his first year of high school.

Usual Outfit: He wears a white dress shirt which appears to be too big for him, due to its bagginess and the fact that its sleeves droop way past his hands. And he also wears a brown trench coat, a loosely worn red tie, a pair of black dress pants, and a pair of brown loafers. These are apparently the clothes he died wearing, and he is unable to change them. They are like a permanent part of his body.

Reaper Mantle: Phantasm

Reaper Eyes: The Eyes of the Phantom. These eyes allow the user to see even more things than those exposed to Limbo are allowed to see. With them the user can see the effects of Shadow Spirits in the world of the living as well as clues to aid in getting rid of them. A good way to explain it might be to consider it like Joker's Third Eye ability in the P5 series. They can also be used to awaken other spirits trapped in Limbo, if certain conditions are met that is.

Stigma: Doubt

Phantom Form: He has the appearance of a small ghost, only he has no actual shape, and he wears a black hooded cloak. He looks more cartoonish, than realistic. He's small and white, and has a cute little streaky tail. The black cloak he wears has a small decal on the front of it that looks like a blue mitama symbol with piercing red eyes.

Reaper Tattoos: His Skeleton Key Tattoo is bright green in color. His Summon Tattoo is the same color as his Skeleton Key Tattoo and its design consists of a butterfly holding a mitama.

Persona: Hitodama. He is made up of a ring of nine balls of blue flame which surround an even larger blue ball of flame at the center of the ring. The largest ball of flame has a face on it complete with a pair of haunting yellow eyes and a wicked-looking yellow grin. In Japanese folklore, hitodama are balls of fire that mainly float around aimlessly and can be seen in the middle of the night. They are said to be "souls of the dead that have separated from their bodies," which is where their name comes from. 人魂: 人 (hito), meaning person, and 魂 (dama), meaning soul or spirit. They can appear in many varying colors, but they are mainly depicted as blue in old stories and folk tales which has become the standard in many supernatural-themed anime or games that depict hitodama. I actually first learned about them from playing Corpse Party. Shinichi being a ghost, I thought a spirit youkai would fit for his Persona very nicely. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Hitodama's name would be written like this - ヒトダマ.

Appearance: He has short, messy and unkempt black hair, sharp facial features, and a pair of bright violet colored eyes. He also has a lean build and average height for a boy his age.

School Uniform: He wears the standard Yousha Academy male uniform with just one alteration: instead of wearing the blue dress jacket with the school's emblem on it, he wears a simple blue vest.

Reaper Mantle: Scarecrow

Reaper Eyes: ???

Reaper Costume: He wears a white dress shirt, a purple tie, and a black vest; he also wears a bright red muffler that obscures the lower half of his face. And finally he wears a pair of purple gloves, a pair of faded jeans, and a pair of smart black shoes.

Reaper Weapon: Bloody Naginata. A naginata that has been altered to have blades at both ends, it has a black shaft and thick purple blades at either end; the sharp ends of the purple metal blades are stained red as though the blades have already tasted blood.

Reaper Tattoos: His Skeleton Key Tattoo is purple in color. His Summon Tattoo is the same color as his Skeleton Key Tattoo and its design consists of a silhouette of a simple scarecrow (sticks formed as a "t" with a round head and a tattered cloth hanging off the arms), and the ends of the arms are replaced with the blades of Ryuta's dual naginata. And a dark liquid surrounds the base of the scarecrow, this is presumably blood.

Persona: Kuebiko. He has short golden hair, akin to straw, and a face that is covered up by a burlap mask. The only things on the mask are two eye holes which allow two shining, fiery red eyes, similar to actual burning flame, to be seen. He wears a royal purple dress tailcoat, lined with golden threads and adorning buttons that are also gold; though the coat itself is tarnished and heavily worn. The buttons on the tailcoat no longer shine and the overall color has also faded, and small tears are present in various places on the tailcoat. His tailcoat's cuffs are entirely stained in a rich red color, presumably blood. His dark hands are thin and stick-like with his fingers taking the form of small sharp blades. A thick noose made of rope loosely hangs around his neck. And his torso beneath the coat is entirely black while the remainder of his body is covered in dirtied white plants. He has small, old-style wooden wheels bolted to his ankles, two per foot, with the wheels attached on either side, instead of actual feet.

Kuebiko is the Shinto god of knowledge and agriculture, represented in Japanese mythology as a scarecrow who cannot walk but has comprehensive awareness. He was also one of the few Shinto gods not represented as a Persona in the Persona 4 series. However, a demon based off of Kuebiko does make appearances in other Shin Megami Tensei games. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Kuebiko's name would be written like this - クエビコ.

Reaper Costume: She wears a dark purple dress with gold accents and black frills; and the hem of her dress' skirt is decorated with glittering black thread arranged in a spider webbing pattern. A large black hooded cloak extends down to her calves, and she has the hood of her cloak up over her head. She also wears a pair of comfortable, black shoes, and a pair of dark purple gloves with a golden treble clef decal on the back of them.

Reaper Weapon: Harmonizing Crossbow. A gold crossbow with several music notes engraved on its surface. When Ayuka summons her crossbow, she also summons a small black pouch that is full of crossbow bolts. The bolts are black in color and have heart-shaped tips on them. Whenever Ayuka fires a bolt out of her crossbow, a sharp piano chord can be heard. If fired in quick succession, the crossbow produces an intimidating melody.

Reaper Tattoos: Her Skeleton Key Tattoo is magenta in color. Her Summon Tattoo is the same color as her Skeleton Key Tattoo and its design consists of a treble clef with a wicked-looking smile on the dot.

Persona: Nannerl. She is a very tall woman who has shiny gray metal skin, long, flowing silver hair, an incredibly small waist, and piercing, crescent-shaped dark brown eyes. She wears a large, flamboyant, white ball gown that is embroidered with a series of shiny musical notes on tablature lines. Two rows of what appear to be harpsichord keys extrude from her back like wings and twist around so they are in front of her.

Nannerl is based off of the real-life person Maria Anna Walburga Ignatia Mozart, nicknamed Nannerl. She was the older sister of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a musician and composer just like him. She became very distraught over her brother's untimely passing and for quite a while gave up music altogether out of grief. Sounds very similar, doesn't it? That's why she's the perfect Persona for Ayuka. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Nannerl's name would be written like this - ナンネル

And his hair near the back of his head is tied back into a pony-tail. His eyes have an almond-shape to them and are angled slightly upwards, they have a sharp intensity about them but also a gentle and warm chartreuse green in color. And he also has a light olive skin tone.

Appearance: She's albino so she has pale skin, white hair, and red eyes. Her eyes are large and round, and her hair is wavy, messy and it stops short at her shoulders. And the left side of her hair partially hangs over her face. She has a small waist, but slightly above average size hips and bust. Her ears look pierced but she doesn't usually wear earrings, and she wears some cherry red lip tint on her lips.

School Uniform: She wears the standard Yousha Academy female uniform, but she also wears a slightly baggy, black coat with fur lining the cuffs, hood, and bottom over her blue blazer. She doesn't wear the red collar bowtie and instead she leaves the first two buttons of her white dress shirt undone, and she also wears thigh high black socks. And for accessories, she wears a delicate, chain bracelet with a single flower charm on her left wrist, and a simple cord necklace that is old and frayed and holds a blue labradorite gem edged with sterling silver.

She has dark tanned, pale brown skin, a well-defined muscle tone, long slender legs, and very minimal curves. She also has a tattoo sleeve on either arm. She has a tattoo sleeve of red roses and green thorny vines going down the entirety of her left arm, and some of the thorny vines spell out the word Beauty. And on her right arm, she has a tattoo sleeve of a series of chains and barbed wire which tangle around a bullet casing that has the word Deadly engraved in it. She also has several faded scars on her body; one on her right arm, one across her right eye, and one on her left cheek. And her face is heart-shaped and has a series of light freckles dotting around it.

School Uniform: Oddly enough, even though she is a girl she wears the standard Yousha Academy male uniform, albeit a slightly beaten up version of it. Her pants are torn in several places, mostly around her knees. Her dress jacket is slightly tattered in some areas, and her tie is worn very loosely. Also, her dress shirt and jacket sleeves are rolled up to show off her tattoo sleeves, and she wears a pair of old, worn black boots instead of black dress shoes. She also wears a black locket, which has an emblem of a dragon on it, around her neck.

She also looks fairly skinny, but not so much that it's unhealthy, it just makes her look kind of tiny.

School Uniform: He wears the standard Yousha Academy male uniform, but there are slight alterations to it. Instead of his blue dress jacket, he wears a black haori coat that reaches down to his ankles, and the haori has a blood red magatama design on either side of its shoulder sleeves. And instead of the red dress tie, he wears a red scarf that hangs loosely from his neck.

School Uniform: She wears the standard Yousha Academy female uniform, but with a few alterations. She wears a white T-shirt underneath her blazer instead of a white dress shirt, and a few of the buttons on her blazer are always kept open showing off the cute, cartoonish rabbit decal on her T-shirt, and she also wears a beaded necklace with a blue flash drive on it. She also always carries a black laptop bag with her to keep her computer on her person at all times.

Reaper Mantle: The White Rabbit

Reaper Eyes: The Eyes of the Rabbit. They allow the user to gain the extraordinary survival instincts of a rabbit and avoid danger.

Reaper Costume: Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail, and she wears a black eye mask, which covers the upper part of her face, a yellow dress shirt, a red women's tuxedo tailcoat dress jacket, a pair of black leggings, and a pair of black high heels. She also wears a white, bunny ear hairband, a red bycocket hat with a white feather on top of it, and a gold pocket watch which is chained to the outside of her dress jacket.

Reaper Weapon: Queen's Deck. A deck of red and black-backed playing cards which have razor-sharp gilded edges.

Reaper Tattoos: Her Skeleton Key Tattoo is snow white in color. Her Summon Tattoo is the same color as her Skeleton Key Tattoo and its design consists of a heart that is frozen in an icy shell.

Persona: Alice. She's a small girl with long blonde hair, porcelain skin, and dazzling blue eyes. She wears a blue dress shirt underneath a sparkly white dress with a blue sash around her waist, and a black bowtie around her collar. She also wears a pair of long white socks, a pair of black dress shoes, and a blue headband and bow in her hair. She is based off of the character Alice from Lewis Caroll's novels Alice In Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass, and is seen in pretty much all the Shin Megami Tensei Persona games, mainly representing the Death Arcana. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Alice's name would be written like this - アリス.

School Uniform: He wears the standard Yousha Academy male uniform and it is slightly wrinkled and sloppy in appearance. He wears his dress jacket unbuttoned, and he also wears a black beanie on top of his head with a pin, that has the Yousha Academy insignia angel on it, pinned to it.

Reaper Mantle: Revenant

Reaper Eyes: The Eyes of the Deadeye. They allow the user to easily aim for a killshot at their target. You can never miss your mark with these eyes by your side.

Stigma: Revenge

Reaper Costume: He wears a baggy leather coat which is open and has silver belt clasps that hang down on its inner sides, over a dark brown shirt and a pair of black pants, which are held up by three diagonal hanging belts with silver buckles. A set of flash grenades, are clasped to his belts. He also wears a silver armor chest plate which is complete with leather shoulder straps, a black scarf with a skull jaw bone design that lines up perfectly with the hidden lower part of his face, an odd looking bionic brace on his right arm, a pair of black gloves, and a black bounty hunter cowboy hat with a brown band.

Reaper Weapon: Death Penalty (Vincent Valentine, the best JRPG Gunslinger, had to reference him). A wicked-looking silver revolver with a pentagram engraved into its light brown wooden handle. And the words Best Served Cold are engraved on the outside of the barrel.

Persona: Billy the Kid. He’s the personification of the legendary outlaw himself straight out of Hell. He appears as a dark black skeleton-man who wears a pair of dark brown pants, a pair of dark brown cowboy boots, a fuzzy white vest, and Billy’s signature black hat; he’s not wearing a shirt so you can see his ribs underneath. There is also a dark brown gun holster attached to Billy’s right hip, which contains a hellish black version of Billy’s signature Colt revolver. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Billy the Kid's name would be written like this - ビリー ザ キッド.

Reaper Costume: He wears a tattered black hoodie with the hood up over his head; the hoodie had the number 13 stitched onto the front of it in creepy red stitching and a blood red fuzz outline on the hoodie's collar, sleeves, and bottom. He also wears a pair of dark blue denim jeans that were torn and tattered in several places, a pair of black hunting boots, and a pair of black gloves with skeleton hand designs on them. And finally he wears a scratched up hockey mask with a blood red-colored tear drop decal under the left eye hole.

Reaper Weapon: Sanguine Devourer. A blood red chainsaw with silver teeth and hockey mask-shaped keychain attached to it. The chainsaw's teeth appeared to be stained with dry blood. When in use, many small tubes pop out of the chainsaw's motor and dig themselves into Blackened’s right arm, giving him energy from each enemy he slices to pieces with it.

Reaper Tattoos: His Skeleton Key Tattoo is crimson in color. His Summon Tattoo is the same color as his Skeleton Key Tattoo and its design consists of pair of sharp fangs that are dripping with blood.

Persona: Count Drac. He is presented as a tall, looming figure with pale white skin, pointed ears, long claw-like fingers, long, white flowing hair, haunting yellow eyes, and large white fangs. He is clad from head to toe in a black tuxedo with a dull golden medal wrapped around his neck. He also wears a black and red cloak which drapes around his whole body. When he is summoned, he is shown wrapping the entirety of his body in the cloak, so all that can be seen is the top of his head and his right hand. Based off of the fictional character of the same name created by Bram Stoker, Count Drac is the personification of the eternal lord of the night. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Count Drac's name would be written like this - カウント ドラック.

Character Description: A third year student of Yousha Academy and the President of the Yousha Academy Student Council and the orcestra club. At the beginning of the story an Omen foretold her death and that fate has since come to pass. She appears to be a central figure in the First Ordeal that Takuya and the others shall endure.

Shadow Takuya

Character Description: Takuya's Shadow. He represents the inner cowardice and regret that Takuya locked inside of himself after his friend Chris died.

Berserk Shadow Takuya

Berserk Shadow Appearance: He wears a large billowing dark gray, hooded cloak which covers everything except for his hands which are covered by a pair of black gloves, and he also wears a white sash over his shoulders that has Enochian symbols written on it in black. The hood is pulled completely over his head, so his face is impossible to make out. He also has four large, white feathery wings which cross his back in an X formation. He holds a large sword in his right hand that has a golden cross for the handle.

DeBlanc, Christopher (Chris)

Character Description: Takuya's old friend from America who committed an active shooting at his and Takuya's old school and then who shortly killed himself afterwards. He was apparently being horribly bullied at the time, and to this day Takuya regrets not helping him when he should have. For some reason, he appeared in the form of a Shadow to both Takuya and Ikumi. Is there something more to him than just an illusion?

Iwasaki, Haruna

Character Description: A second year student of Yousha Academy and a former violist for the orcestra club. She committed suicide towards the beginning of the story but it's starting to look like she still has a larger role to play in events to come.

Reaper Costume: He wears a long, tattered black cloak, long black pants, a pair of black steel-toe boots, and a pair of black leather gloves. And he also wears a crazy-looking, white skull mask over his face. The mask appears to be equpped with a voice disguising device, as Death's voice sounds oddly mechanical.

Reaper Weapon: Saturn's Sickle. A wicked-looking black sickle that is made out of bones and is modeled after the tool wielded by the Roman God Saturn. It can extend in length and sharpen its blade at the user's command.

Reaper Tattoos: ???

Persona: Baku. He's constantly cloaked in a thick veil of dark miasma, he has large paws that appear almost cat-like, and razor sharp dark purple colored claws. He has a body that is covered in shaggy hair, and an elephant-like trunk that nearly reaches the floor; beneath his trunk is a twisted smile with sharp fangs, and he has two large tusks that appear to be made out of pure darkness. Baku is based off of the youkai in Japanese folklore of the same name. The lore on them varies, from being seen as mischevous demons who haunt people's dreams, to being gentle spirits who devour the nightmares of children, to blood-thirsty monsters who cast eternal sleep on the unwilling in order to feast on their dreams. It's clear which one I chose to portray, though I think a gentler version of Baku is portrayed in some older Shin Megami Tensei games. Since all Persona names are written in katakana, Baku's name would be written like this - バク.

Character Description: Shinichi's Shadow. He represents Shinichi's inner doubt that he will ever regain his memories of who he once was or that there is some deeper meaning to his existence.

Berserk Shadow Shinichi

Berserk Shadow Appearance: He is a large blue specter, that has his legs replaced by a tail. His face has taken on the shape of a cartoonish skull, with dark green googly eyes that dart back and forth in all directions. He also carries a large chain nunchaku which has a pair of tombstones for its handles. One of the tombstones is marked with the Japanese word 希望 (kibou), which translates as hope, and the other is marked with the Japanese word 絶望 (zetsubou), which translates as despair. There are also several large blue flaming wisps that circle around him.

Shadow Ryuta

Character Description: Ryuta's Shadow. He represents the innocence that was lost on the night that Ryuta committed murder. He desires to protect others from his inner darkness out of fear that he will hurt or even kill someone else. But at the same time, Shadow Ryuta has another side to him. He also secretly wishes to destroy those who shunned him and treated him as a pariah.

Berserk Shadow Ryuta

Berserk Shadow Appearance: He is a large monstrous-looking centaur that dons a black hood identical to that of a medieval executioner. His muscular human torso is heavily scarred with barbed wire wrapped around it haphazardly several times. The lower half is a horse body with black fur that is burned and singed in numerous places. The barbed wire is also wrapped more tightly around the horse half of him, biting into his flesh and causing blood to pool around his wounds. He also wields a giant meat cleaver that has freshly caked blood coating the metal blade and dripping profusely from it.

Character Description: Ryuta's younger sister. They have been close ever since they were kids, and she admires him greatly. Though they haven't talked that much since Ryuta left for Tokyo, he deeply wishes to reconnect with her.

Character Description: An alumni of Yousha Academy. He is currently working as a student-teacher and is in a relationship with Yurika Owari.

Character Description: Ayuka and Benzo's mother. She has a deep love of classical music much like her children. And like Ayuka, she misses Benzo every day. Right now, she just wants her daughter to return to being her former smiling, happy self.

Shadow Ayuka

Character Description: Ayuka's Shadow. She represents Ayuka's sorrow and depression over the loss of her brother. She claims that she is a prisoner of her own making because the negative emotions that she is made up of caused Ayuka to lock her deep away inside her heart so she would never have to face the grief head on. But deep down, she also represents the anger she felt towards Benzo for choosing to die with dignity instead of staying with her. Part of the reason she thinks she deserved to be punished is because of the guilt she feels for feeling that anger.

Berserk Shadow Ayuka

Berserk Shadow Appearance: She is a very tall, thin, twisted-looking woman who has black, rusted metal skin, a long, tangled mop of black hair, sharp metallic claws, and piercing, crescent-shaped yellow eyes. She wears a large black ball gown which goes down to the floor, a black, see-through funeral veil, and a large black sunhat with a dead sunflower pinned to it. There is also an ugly, decrepit, wooden casket that is strapped to her shoulders and hanging in front of her.

Character Description: Ayuka and Benzo's father. Like Akari, their mother, all he wants is to see Ayuka return to her old cheerful self.

Character Description: A rookie homicide detective for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. She works along side her partner and senpai, Det. Azami Kobayashi, trying to make sense of crimes that have a unique supernatural element to them, one that they are unaware of. She was also Takuya's old babysitter back when he lived in Tokyo as a child. They were really close and she became his unofficial older sister.

Soul Link Guide

A/N: There will be 33 Soul Links established over the course of the story. Allow me to explain this huge number. The first 22 are taken from the Major Arcana that we are all familiar with, Fool - World. But then I added a Soul Link for the newly created Arcana in P3 FES, which then carried over into P4G, Aeon. That's 23. Then I added the 2 new Arcana that were made purely for P4G, Jester and Hunger (keeping them separated this time around). That's 25. Now Aeon, Jester, and Hunger come from a variation Tarot deck called the Thoth Tarot deck, so I thought I would add the other new Arcana from that deck as well, those are Adjustment and Art. That's 27.

Next, the four new Arcana introduced in the P5 spinoffs, P5R and P5S: Councillor, Faith, Hope, and Apostle. That's 31. But before we go forward, here's a little information about the four new Arcana if you're curious. They come from three variation Tarot decks, the El Gran Tarot Esoterico deck, the Visconti-Sforza Tarot deck, and our old friend the Thoth Tarot deck. In the El Gran Tarot Esoterico deck, the Major Arcana are replaced with their Spanish equivalents, Councillor being the Spanish equivalent of Magician; in addition, the deck does not use Roman numerals, it uses Arabic numerals, which is why Councillor is ranked as 1. Now the Apostle Arcana technically comes from the Thoth Tarot deck, but is listed as Hierophant. However, its Hierophant is considered to be more of a spiritual cult leader than a traditional religous figure like most Hierophants, which is why the Persona mythos changed its name to Apostle.

As for Faith and Hope, the Visconti-Sfroza Tarot deck contains 3 "Trump Cards" along with its Major Arcana; those cards are Faith, Hope, and Charity, the 3 Theological Virtues. The 3 "Trump Cards" are considered to be rankless, meaning that they have no specific numbered rank, but they do have individual meanings based on their placement. And because I'd hate to split up the set, I made a Soul Link for the Charity Arcana as well.Which brings us to 32. Bet you're glad you didn't skip that explanation, huh?

Lastly, we have the Universe Arcana, which is considered by other tarot decks to be a variation of the World Arcana. Universe was a special hidden Arcana that only made an appearance in the P3 franchise, in which the two Protagonists managed to unlock it at the very end of the game, it had no form and no Persona to go along with it but its power still allowed them to seal Nyx away and prevent the Fall. It hasn't made an appearance since then, but I plan for my P6 to revolve heavily around P1 - P5, so I decided to include it into the story. Anyway, that's 33 in all. Look forward to it.
