Here is a listing of the various stories I have written for over the years along with a notation of their current status (Complete, In-Progress, Discontinued), their descriptions, and some additional notes pertaining to them:
Writings
Love and Loss
Status: Discontinued
Description: My first fanfic based upon the Lord of the Rings films. It is a Legomance, 10th-walker fic involving a Mary Sue-like character falling into Middle Earth. Currently, the story ends in the middle of The Two Towers just prior to entering Helm's Deep.
Notes: The writing in the early chapters is crude and mediocre due to my inexperience with writing at the time. The later chapters are more up to par. The character of Laura was an unintentional Mary Sue. She was the first OC character I ever created and I was new to writing, therefore she became one. In later chapters, I have tried to mature her and make her more realistic; this has resulted in drastic changes from my original character to the current one.
Love and Loss Revised
Status: Complete
Description: A two and a half chapter revision of my old fanfiction, Love and Loss, as written in 2006.
Notes: I thought it would be interesting to compare my early chapters of the original Love and Loss with these 2006 rewritten chapters. The writing style has matured monumentally. Also, I will not be continuing these revisions nor continuing Love and Loss (see above). These are old revisions from 2006 that I never completed or posted.
Faith Never Fades
Status: Complete
Description: A fanfic following the first film of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy. It is a WillOC. Danielle Cooper, the main OC character, has a physical disability, yet has been best friends with Will since they were young children living in Portsmouth, England. After the death of his mother, Will leaves England in search of his father in the Caribbean, leaving Danielle alone in England. At the age of twenty, eight long years after the departure of Will, Danielle unexpectedly appears in the Caribbean... What will happen when two old friends reunite and are thrown into the middle of a hectic adventure featuring Captain Jack Sparrow? Even after eight years, will a deeper relationship blossum between the two? Will Danielle even manage to survive the obstacles of the adventure?
Notes: The character of Danielle is somewhat based off myself. The disability she has been given is, in fact, the very disablity I have, cerebral palsy. Personally, it primarily affects my calves and lower. I cannot run, jump, swim, or the like. Danielle is the same way. It is important to note that Danielle is not me, however. Her personality is different from my own, but the disability she has is my own.
Faith Ever Strengthens
Status: Discontinued
Description: A sequel to Faith Never Fades. This continues the adventures of Danielle, Will, Jack, and company in Dead Man's Chest. A year has passed since the events in The Curse of the Black Pearl. Danielle has been living on the Black Pearl with Jack, Gibbs, and the others, enjoying the life of a pirate and sailor. Will, meanwhile, has been preparing his wedding to Elizabeth. As shown in the conclusion of Faith Never Fades, Will chose who to give his heart to, and essentially, who he loved, only driving Danielle away. Now, with the arrival of Cutler Beckett, and the inevitable meeting that will need to occur between the two again, what will happen?
Phantom of the Opera
Status: Complete
Description: A poem I wrote for a school assignment in 2004. It is essentially a overview of the Andrew Lloyd Webber film.
Without
Status: Complete
Description: A second poem I wrote one day. It takes place after Legolas has crossed the sea to Valinor and the narrator grieves his leaving.
Notes: The rhythm of the poem is supposed to be similar to Galadriel's poem to Legolas in The Two Towers and also Treebeard's song about the Entwives in The Two Towers. It is basically a correlation of the two.
Nothing to Show
Status: Complete (One-Shot)
Description: Scully stumbles upon an X-File from her past and finds herself reminiscing on the tragic death of Agent Pendrell, as well as questioning the ultimate cost for the Truth. Seasons 6 or 7; references to "Teliko," "Tempus Fugit," and "Max."
Notes: My first fanfiction in years and years, and my first publication in the world of The X-Files.
Soul Searching
Status: Complete (One-Shot)
Description: In an encounter forgotten by both agents, Mulder and Scully meet before their respective assignments on the X-Files. Set in 1989 when Mulder was assigned to the Violent Crimes Division with partner Jerry Lamana (featured in "Ghost in the Machine") and Scully was a hospital resident following medical school.
Notes: Something I cobbled together in two days. With the right motivation and ideas, I'd consider writing a few more chapters to this story. I'd prefer to remain in canon, though, so it would be a struggle to have continual meetings between Mulder and Scully and yet claim they've forgotten all those chance encounters upon meeting on the X-Files.
Keeping Grounded
Status: In Progress
Description: Mulder is dealing with the implications of his impending death while Scully is attempting to determine what she really wants out of life. Takes place in Season 7; begins at the final scene of "All Things." MSR.
Notes: A free-form story with little cohesive plot. It mostly consists of various scenes woven together that strike me as appropriate or interesting to the characters given the insinuated new-found romantic relationship in "All Things." There are long segments of inner monologue and character reflection as Mulder and Scully consider where they once were in relationship to where they are now. And there are quite a few discussions pertaining to philosophical or moralistic issues because writing Mulder argumentative rants are just so much fun!
What We Owe
Status: Complete (One-Shot)
Description: Mulder awaits his turn to speak to Scully following the news that her cancer has gone into remission. He finds himself reflecting on the last few days, the new questions that have cropped up, and what that means for his future. Key conversations give him new strength to continue on his path toward The Truth. Follows the final scene of "Redux II."
Notes: I've wanted to write a "Scully cancer" arc story for a while now. This is a little different in that it's from Mulder's POV and following the news that her cancer has gone into remission, but a lot of the emotions and questions pertaining to Scully's bout with cancer are still raw and present. Hopefully in the future, I'll be able to write an authentic cancer story, likely from Scully's POV.
An Established Rapport
Status: Complete (One-Shot)
Description: A call came in claiming that Dana Scully was attacked in her own home. That could be very bad news for Tom Colton as the lead investigator into a recent rash of Baltimore murders. And then he has to contend with Dana's delusional new partner, the "reputable" Fox Mulder. Takes place in Season 1; begins following Tooms' attack on Scully in "Squeeze." Tom Colton's POV.
Notes: I found myself a lot more relaxed writing this story than I normally am. Writing from Tom Colton's point of view meant I could be more critical and funny in an obscure way. Mulder and Scully are so upstanding, that it was fun to write from the perspective of a "darker" character. And I could write a "younger" Mulder and Scully for once.
The Meaning of Christmas
Status: In Progress (Expected to be 8 chapters total)
Description: Fox Mulder is a loner; he seems to have always been one. Once Scully was partnered with him though, he learned that needn't always be alone. After a night of hauntings and horrors on Christmas Eve 1998, neither agent should be completely on their own. Aware of this, Scully invites him to her mother's on Christmas day. Begins at the final scene of "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas."
Notes: I wanted to write something with a lighter tone and more holiday-ish. Granted, I tend to be angsty no matter what I write... Nonetheless, this story has given me the opportunity to tackle writing a "Mulder in love" as I like to consider him, not to mention "Mulder the outsider" and getting a feel for Scully's family.
Deluded by Shadows
Status: Complete (One-Shot)
Description: Scully has been kidnapped by repeated abductee or mentally unstable sociopath, Duane Barry. Mulder has had to visit the crime scene and inform Scully's mother of the occurrence. Skinner has ordered him to leave the case alone, but Mulder is unable to bring himself to do so. While burdened by crushing guilt, Mulder must confront the unwanted scenario. Occurs within "Ascension."
Notes: I've wanted to have an opportunity to write for Alex Krycek for a while, and I had two stories in mind that could feature him. This one and an AU story I might never actually write. And given how Krycek is so frequently a man without any loyalties, I wanted to turn that on his head and portray Krycek (as an agent in Season 2) as comforting and considerate of Mulder just hours before attempting to kill him. As for my references to Plato's The Allegory of the Cave, that really just came to me in the midst of writing the story, and I thought it would be fun to include and re-purpose: to signify the struggle within Mulder to try and ignore the horrors bombarding him while being aware that he can't hide away forever.
Universal Disclaimer: I do not own any of the properties, titles, locations, and characters I write about. They all belong to their respective creators, distributors, and production companies.
Notice: In some of my stories, I tackle more serious subjects. I wish it to be known that the opinions of the characters in my writings are not necessarily my own. More often than not, I find a subject that intrigues me and create an internal monologue or a dialogue between two characters to consider the various perspectives and arguments that could pertain to it.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, and please enjoy!
