DeviantART: http:/// Longest Story: A Matter of Pride, Teen Titans HONDA YUKI FANS SHOULD READ THIS PLEASE. I'm gonna keep plugging on with it at last! After how long I've been away, I guess you guys deserve an update. I'm busy, but I swear I'll be working on the next chapter at last! I won't get side-tracked again! I'll finish the story... And then probably go back and revise it... xD Here's how writing works for me: When I first write a story, it invariably comes out cliched and generally... bad. I let it sit for a while, specific time varies. When I come back for it, I read it over and go, 'hey! I can re-do this! It'll be so much better!' and almost always, I get another story out of it as well. So the story turns out pretty good and I get a completely different one, too! And the different one is okay because it was based on the cliche. So what's a Reflection, anyway? A Reflection is something I made up. Basically, in any series, one character - whether talking to another, or just to themselves, reflects on a person or persons, or events in their life. Reflections don't really have any plot. They're one-shots, usually between 500 and 800 words. Often, they're my odes to the fallen - that is, when a character I like dies, I write a reflection about them. Most of them are bittersweet. Some are just cute. Normally, I name them after the last word of the story, but if that doesn't work the last phrase will do. Here's how I see Terra: Perhaps the most controversial character in Teen Titans, Terra can be seen three ways. The first, and most common, two are hero and villain straight up. My view, and I have never known another person to share it, is that Terra is confused about who she is. She loves Beast Boy, but Slade gave her what she wanted most - control. She worked for him. Killed for him. Obeyed everything he said. Old habits die hard. So Terra is a killer, yes. She is ruthless and cold-hearted, yes. She is cruel, yes. She is a villain, yes. But she can love. She can feel happy and sad and frightened if she wants, even if she doesn't show it. My view on Terra? She's lost and broken. Straight up. | |||||||
