I don't own the flash unfortunately.

A/N: Here is another story for you all, this is going to be a three chapter one, hopefully. There is some swearing in this story, so you know, just be aware and I am not that good with all the medical jargon, so I hope that's okay. I would like to say a big thank you to iabsolutelylovekong, who sent me this prompt and allowed be to write it, I hope I did well, and you enjoy it. Anyway, that all being said, sorry for any mistakes and please enjoy this story!

When Barry woke up, he let out a harsh cough that rattled his chest. Groaning he sank back into his pillows, he felt hot and his body ached all over. Ever since he became a speedster Barry hadn't become ill, from any sort of virus or infection. Shaking of the feeling of confusion and surprise he felt at becoming sick, he sat up and slowly got out of bed. He figured that since he had speed healing, that healed all of physically injuries pretty quickly it would work on whatever this was, and for now he would just have to put up with it. He got ready for work at a slower pace than he normally would, and then ran to work, he felt dizzy as he was running but ignored it, still believing that he just had to wait until his speed healing worked its magic. He arrived at the CCPD only slightly late, and he made his way into his lab, ready to get started on the mountain of paperwork that had been steadily building as he had been too busy with meta-humans to complete.

It wasn't until a couple of hours later that Barry started to feel that something might be off. Joe had entered his lab, and commented on how pale he was looking, Barry had insisted he was fine, and Joe left. Moments after Joe had left, Barry started vibrating and fell right through his chair, crashing into the floor below him. He let out a pained groan, and pulled himself to his feet, feeling surprised as that had never happened before, Barry pulled his chair back to his desk and sat back down. He had barely started writing again, when he phased through his seat again, and then it happened again. Deciding he should probably go to Starlabs to get himself checked out, Barry headed outside to start running, but when he tried, he didn't move, he tried again and he was only running at a normal pace, "Shit," Barry groaned under his breathe, had he lost his powers? Trying to keep calm, he thought about the best way to get to Starlabs, then, all of a sudden, he was running. It felt like the first time he realised he had powers, having absolutely no control over his speed and not really knowing what was happening. Before he knew it, he was at Starlabs in the cortex. Crashing hard into a wall, the hero fell onto his back hard, he cried out in pain and through bleary vision saw a figure running towards him,

"Barry, dude is you okay?" Cisco asked worried, as he helped drag the man to his feet,

"Yeah, I didn't mean to…" Barry was cut off as he, once again, lost control of his speed and crashed into the wall for the second time. Finding himself on the floor again Barry moaned and looked up at Cisco who was peering down over him an expression of panic present on his face, "Get Caitlin," Barry groaned.

"Right, on it, be right back," Cisco rambled, rushing out of the room to get the doctor. Barry stared up at the ceiling, his whole body hurt, and he was scared about what was happening to him. It didn't take long for Barry to hear three pairs of footsteps hurrying in his direction. Turning his head slightly, he could see Cisco returning with both Caitlin and Wells with him.

"Barry!" Cait cried out hurrying to his side,

"Hey Caitlin," Barry said in what he hoped was a light sounding tone.

"We need to get him into the med bay," Caitlin instructed, hurrying of to get everything set up. Cisco and Wells glanced at each other briefly before, grabbing an arm of Barry's each and hulling him up to his feet. With an arm around each man, Barry was half carried, half dragged to the med bay where Caitlin was already set up and ready to run her, extensive number of tests on Barry. Cisco and Wells lowered the hero onto the bed that had been set up, and Barry laid back against the pillow with a groan,

"Shit, it hurts Cait," Barry told her through clenched teeth,

"I know, Barry we are going to work this out," the doctor tried to reassure him. Barry closed his eyes, and Caitlin shot the other two men in the room a worried look,

"I call Joe and Iris," Cisco said, heading out of the room. Wells followed him out, probably going to look for solutions of his own. Caitlin turned back to Barry, his eyes were squeezed tight shut, obviously in an attempt to try and handle the pain that he was in,

"Hey Barr, I'm going to start with some bloodwork okay?" She spoke to him softly, Barry gave a slight head movement, that Caitlin took as an acknowledgement of her words, she quickly and efficiently drew a couple of vials of his blood and hurried off to examine them.

While she was gone, Joe and Iris arrived, they hurried into the med bay, concern written all over their faces,

"Hey Barr, how are you doing?" Iris asked softly, running a cool hand through his hair, Barry melted into the tough, the coolness of her skin doing wonders against his burning skin.

"It hurts, I thought I was just sick, but it's got something to do with my powers I can't control them," he told them. They stood there in silence for a few moments, before Cisco and Caitlin entered the room,

"I couldn't find anything abnormal in your blood, I would like a urine sample so I can run more tests," Caitlin said, holding out a cup. Barry took it and attempted to get himself to his feet, after about a minute he glanced at the people in the room,

"A little help please." Cisco and Joe instantly rushed to his side and help guide him towards the bathroom,

"Will you be okay?" Joe asked as Barry entered the bathroom,

"Yeah, just give me a minute," Barry requested. Joe nodded and stood outside the now closed bathroom door with Caitlin and Cisco. Two minutes later, the lock clicked open and Barry held out the now filled cup, which Cait immediately took and hurried of to run more of her tests.

"Come on, let's get you back on the bed," Joe said as he and Cisco started helping Barry back to the med bay where Iris was sitting. Right before they got to the bed, Barry starting vibrating and suddenly Joe and Cisco were hit by a sharp, stinging pain that sent them flying across the room. All three men hit the floor, as Iris stood up in panic. Calling out for help, Iris rushed to her father's side, who was the person closest to her, he was unconscious but clearly still breathing. Caitlin and Wells came running into the room hearing Iris's shout for help, taking in the scene before them, Caitlin headed to Barry's side and Wells to Cisco's.

"Is everyone okay?" Caitlin asked, already trying to pull Barry onto the bed herself. Seeing this Iris rushed over to help her,

"Dad's breathing, but unconscious," she informed the doctor, the two got Barry onto the bed when Wells spoke,

"Cisco is okay, he is also unconscious but still breathing, but he appears to have burns on his left side."

"Are they bad?" Caitlin asked as she headed over to where Cisco and Wells were,

"No, they don't appear to be, but it almost looks like he was…"

"hit by lightning," Caitlin finished.

"Hey," Iris called out, "Dad's got the same burns on his right side." Wells and Caitlin walked over to where Joe was lying after they got Cisco onto a bed,

"Yeah your right, he does," Wells said thoughtfully,

"They were both helping Barry into the room when they all suddenly went down," Iris informed the two scientists,

"This has to have something to do with whatever Barry's suffering from," Caitlin murmured, clearly lot in thought,

"Barry did say he couldn't control his powers at the moment," Iris noted. Wells spoke quietly his voice filled with confusion and curiosity,

"Hmm, I wonder what this is…"
