Caitlin had just finished applying cream to the burns on both Cisco and Joe, when both men began to stir. "Ugh what happened?" Cisco groaned out, slowly opening his eyes,

"You and Joe where both hit with Barry's lighting," Caitlin told him, helping him sit up on the bed.

"Hey take it easy," Iris's voice could be heard on the other side of the room, Caitlin looked over and saw Joe trying to get out of the bed, after giving Cisco a look that told him not to look or else, Caitlin hurried over to Iris and Joe,

"Joe, you need to rest, you were knocked unconscious, and have first degree burns along the side of your body,

"I'm okay, I just need to see Barry," Joe tried to reassure the women, attempting again to get off the bed, but he was gently pushed back down by both Iris and Caitlin,

"Look dad, Barry is right there," Iris indicated to the bed next to him, "he's okay," she told him. Joe glanced over and saw Barry lying on the bed between him and Cisco, he was still unconscious, but he looked okay.

"Do we know what's wrong with him?" Joe questioned, his eyes searching Caitlin's face for answers,

"I wish," Caitlin sighed, "I've ran all the tests I can think of, he seems to be perfectly healthy, I can't find anything to suggest why his powers are acting like they are. I'm sorry I don't have better news," she looked down, shuffling on her feet.

"It's okay, I know you are doing all you can." Joe attempted to reassure the doctor, she was his friend to and he knew it must be hard on her to have all this pressure of trying to work out what was going on with his son, with all his friends and family around. Caitlin gave him a small smile and continued talking,

"I've put some meta-cuffs on him which seem to be managing his symptoms for now, but it is not a permeant solution and to be honest, I'm not sure how long they will last, they have already sparked a couple of times." Caitlin informed him. Joe nodded, taking some time to process what Caitlin had told him, there was silence for a moment, then Cisco's voice carried across from the other side of the room,

"I can try and make some stronger meta-cuffs with Wells… if I am allowed to get up." He directed the last part of his sentence towards Caitlin, she sighed and rolled her eyes at him. But she did move other towards him, she gently lifted the side of his shirt up, and looked over his burns, she quickly applied more cream and shone a light into his eyes,

"Yes, go and make your stronger cuffs, but please no strenuous activity, and be careful not to hit your side. Also, you've got to let me check you before you leave tonight." Caitlin told him, this time it was Cisco's turn to roll his eyes,

"Yes doctor," he joked, but when he saw the worried look in Caitlin's eyes he was quick to reassure her, "I'll be careful, I promise," Caitlin nodded, trusting him to be careful and then hurried back over to Joe, where Iris was helping him sit up.

"You can get up and move around to," Cait told him, "but please be careful and let me check you before you go home tonight."

"I'm not going anywhere until I know Barry's alright," Joe said firmly. Caitlin gave him a gentle understanding smile, and a small nod, before she went back to monitoring Barry.

It was a couple of hours later and Iris was sitting by Barry's bed, "I need you to get better Barr, please get better," she whispered to him. She rested her head against his shoulder, a couple tears slipping from her eyes. It was then, she felt vibrations, she lifted her head up and Barry's eyes where open, but were glowing red and his whole body was vibrating, his meta-cuffs sparked and fizzled, before making the noise of a small explosion and smoke emitted from them. "Guys…" Iris yelled out, "Guys, help!" Footsteps could be heard hurrying towards her, and Joe ran in first with Caitlin right behind him,

"What happened?" Caitlin question quickly running to Barry's side, Iris quickly recalled all the events and a look of panic appeared on Caitlin's face before she resumed her calm, doctor look, she hurried back out of the room and her voice could be heard coming over the comms in the cortex, "Cisco, I need those new meta-cuffs now!" she spoke before rushing back to Barry,

"Help me hold him down," she instructed taking Barry's right arm, Iris quickly took his left and Joe grabbed a hold of his legs.

"What if he hits us with his lightening again?" Joe questioned,

"That's a risk we have to take, if we don't take a hold of him, he could phase right through the floors and the ground," Caitlin said gripping him tighter,

"Couldn't he phase through our hands?" Iris questioned but she didn't let go,

"Yes, that is a possibility, but I'm hoping as this appears to be an illness, human touch will ground him, Joe you said Barry becomes very tactile when he is sick?" Caitlin spoke,

"Yeah, always the best way to comfort him was through physical contact," Joe said nodding,

"That's what I'm relaying on now," Caitlin said, "I just hope I'm right; we just have to hold on long enough for Cisco to have those new meta-cuffs. Joe and Iris nodded their response and continued to hold onto Barry. They only had to maintain their grip for a couple more minutes as Cisco's footsteps could soon be heard running towards them,

"I've got them," he called out holding the new meta-cuffs out towards Caitlin who instantly but them on Barry, as soon as she did, he stopped vibrating and his eyes turned back to his usual brown colour.

"Watch him," Cait murmured to Iris, indicating towards where she had been monitoring his vitals, Iris nodded and watched as the doctor left to go and look at Cisco complaining to him that running was a strenuous activity. She rolled her eyes at her friends' interaction and looked up at Barry's vitals,

"Iris," Barry's voice was croaky as he spoke,

"Hey Barr," she said her eyes shifting to look at him instead of his vitals,

"What's going on?" Barry asked, Iris looked at him confused,

"Don't you remember?"

"No,"

"You're sick Barr," Iris told him and filled him in with everything that happened, when she was done Barry's eyes were wide with guilt and panic,

"I hurt you guys," Barry said his voiced laced with worry, his eyes darted between Joe and Cisco,

"Eh we are okay Barry, only some first-degree burns," Joe told him shrugging a little, trying to make it seem as small as a deal as possible.

"Yeah man, Dr Snow here patched us up really well," Cisco told him, and Caitlin gave him a little push on his shoulder,

"Still I'm really sorry guys," Barry said still clearly feeling guilty

"Honestly Barry it's alright," Joe told him, and Barry nodded, "We just want you to get better."

"So, you don't know what's wrong with him," Barry said directing his attention towards Caitlin, she opened her mouth to respond when Wells walked in,

"Well, I think I have an idea."
