The restaurant was nothing special all it was was a couple of plastic tables placed outside with a few plastic chairs, the two f them ordered their food and ate in awkward silence.

'So how did you fail?'Jaune asked Pyrrha

Pyrrha smiled she could tell from Jaunes weak voice that he was barely hanging on, that getting into Beacon meant a lot to him, so she answered despite not really wanting to.

'I didn't find a partner, how about you" she answered him

"I lied, I never been to combat school or trained before and the school found out" he answered her as he bit into his tacos

"Mind if we join you" a boy accompanied by a girl that looked about the same age as they were stood next to their table and Jaune looked at Pyrrha before they both nodded.

"Thanks," the girl said to them before they both sat down

"So the two of you failed too, oh sorry my name is Nora and the quiet one over there is Ren" Nora introduced herself and Ren to the two of them

They all looked at each other not knowing what to say or do, so they continued to eat.

"So how did you guys fail?" Jaune asked the pair

The two looked at each other before Nora answered.

"You know the usual, a group of senior try to pick on the new kids and you break a couple of legs and suddenly you're expelled before the school even starts"

Jaune and Pyrrha looked at each other and silently agreed that maybe it was for the best if the two of them didn't get involved with the pair.

"Why don't you four-try the next entrance exam" a man said to them, he was drunk and could barely stand much less walk, but somehow he managed to reach their table

"Beacon will be doing the entrance exams for a few months, being huntsmen isn't easy so they have to get as many people as possible," he said to them before he nearly fell when he tried to place his hand on the table.

"Tell you what, you four look like a team," he said before he took a drink from a beer that was on another table, whose it was no one knew but the man drank it anyway.

"I'm friends with the headmaster, so if you guys can prove you're a team. Then maybe I can help you out" he said to them as he showed them his scroll and amongst the contacts were three names along with the pictures that went with them.

Ozpin - Glynda and ironwood.

"By the way the name is Qrow" he introduced himself before he fell and passed out

They all looked at each other and didn't know what to say or do, the pictures Qrow had shown them were the pictures headmaster and his assistant.

They didn't know who Ironwood was so they just forgot about him, regardless an opportunity had shown itself to them.

"I'm in," Jaune said to them and he waited for everyone else to answer

"He's drunk and he might not remember what he said" Ren pointed out

"yeah, but if we let this chance pass," Nora said to them her face showing a smile that just kept on growing

"I don't know, something about this just feels off," Pyrrha said before they all looked at each other

None of them had anywhere to go and all of the hotels near them were full, so they had no other choice but to spend the night outside.

They watched as the city lights began to turn on and as the cold wind of the night took over they watched out for each other, all the while Qrow snored loudly without a care in the world.

As the night passed Pyrrha began to remember the conversation she had with Jaune, he never went to combat school or did any training for that matter, that meant he was the weakest of them all, which also meant that he didn't have his Aura Unseld, which meant he didn't have his semblance yet.

She closed her eyes and strengthened her resolve, if Qrow kept his word then Jaune would be her partner, so she should help him out as much as she could

"Jaune, can you come with me for a moment," Pyrrha said to Jaune

She knew that what she was planning was insane, unleashing someone Aura meant that a bond was created between them something that wasn't easily broken, at least that was what her mom told her.

Pyrrha placed her hand on Jaunes's chest and she began to chant.

"For it is in our passing that we achieve immortality"

"Through this, we become a paragon of virtue and glory to rise above all."

"Infinite in distance and unbound by death"

"I release my soul and by my shoulder to protect thee"

She let out a breath as she felt her hear her soul mix with Jaunes before she felt his Aura activate, his soul was now free to guard him in whatever way he needs it to.

"Are you okay?" Jaune asked her

'Sorry just give me a moment, it takes a lot to unleash someone's Aura and if they have more than you" she said to Jaune, honestly she only told him half of what she knew, the rest she just filled in the blanks with what she was going through

After a few moments, they went back to Ren and Nora's side who had been watching them, the four of them must have been quite the sight, because as the sun started to rise and people began to pass by them.

People stared, yet again they were all still wearing their armors and combat clothes, while they sat on the sidewalk next to a passed-out drunk man.
