The next day Qrow woke them up early told them to put on their armor and get their weapons ready, because it was going to do or die.
Oddly enough they didn't walk far just a couple of blocks but they reached a part of the city that looked as if it had been abandoned for years there were heavily armored gates everywhere.
It was obvious that someone wanted to keep something from getting out, or getting into the city.
"I'll be honest with you kids, I don't want to throw you in there"
"At least not yet. So I'll let you four decide because once I open those doors it's going to be up to you four to keep anything from getting out," Qrow said to them.
They all looked at each other, Jaune could swear that just by standing next to the massive doors, he could feel that something unnatural was on the other side.
he turned to look at his team no his friends and they all had the same look, they didn't know if they should go in, but for whatever reason, they were all looking at him.
"So what's it going to be?" Qrow asked them
"Let's not" Pyrrha answered Qrow and Qrow raised an eyebrow.
"Oh why not you three stand a good chance of making it out alive," Qrow said to Ren- Nora, and Pyrrha
"That's just it" Ren answered Qrow
"We started this together so we finish this together," Nora said to Qrow her voice had its usual happy tone
Qrow just smirked and turned to look at Jaune
"Did you hear that Jaune, guess that means you need to train some more" he said to him before taking out his flask and taking a drink from it, then he handed it to Ren.
"Everyone gets a drink, consider it your prize for passing your first test"
"There are times when you have to take huge risks, risks that will give you a big reward, but they can and will get you killed"
"The way you four are, there noway any of you would have made it out alive," he said to them
"But you said," Nora said to Qrow
'Surprise I lied, Jaune is the weakest one of you, so he's the easiest target, anyone can tell you that, but that doesn't mean anything when the things you're facing are so much stronger than any of you."
"So take a drink already and pass it down," Qrow said to Ren who took a drink from the flask and handed it to Nora, who after taking a drink handed it to Pyrrha, who gave it to Jaune who gave it back to Qrow.
"Okay new lesson, Ren give your weapons to Jaune, Jaune give yours to Ren and Pyrrha give yours to Nora and Nora give your hammer to Pyrrha"
"It's time you four learned to use each other's weapons, maybe that way the four of you can see things differently," Qrow said to them
Jaune looked at his family's heirlooms and he struggled to let go of them, Ren was his teammate, but he was also someone he had just met a few weeks ago.
"Go on don't be shy, if you're all so worried about letting go of the things then teach each other how to take proper care of the things," Qrow said to them.
Jaune suddenly realized that he hadn't bothered to look at Ren and when he did, he noticed that Ren didn't want to let go of his guns either.
He turned to look at Pyrrha and Nora and front that the two of them hadn't exchanged their weapons either.
"Alright for the rest of the week none of you can use your original weapons at all, go back to training with each other and by that I mean Pyrrha you and Jaune keep doing what you're doing"
"Nora you and Ren keep training with each other, but none of you can fight each other or give pointers on how to use your weapons"
"You can just give each other pointers on how to maintain them," Qrow said to them before he leads them back to the hotel.
"You know what, you kids have been cooped up in the hotel for weeks, why don't you go ut and pass sometime apart from each other"
"You two go that way and you two that way," Qrow said to them as he pointed at Pyrrha and Jaune and told them to go right, while at the same time pointing at Ren and Nora and telling them to go left.
They all looked at each other, no Jaune looked at his family's relics and he was certain that by the way, everyone was reacting they were looking at their weapons just as much as he was.
'Whats a team without trust, if you cant trust each other with just this, there's no point with you four pretending that you're a team" Qrow said to them
"Take good care of them," Jaune said to Ren
"You too," Ren said to Jaune
"Don't worry" Pyrrha said to Nora as she lifted Nora's mallet over her shoulder, and she nearly fell because of the weight of the mallet.
"Same here," Nora said to Pyrrha
