"Do you believe in destiny?" Those were the words he remembers.

Qrow didn't know why he was bothering to teach these kids, no that wasn't true he knew why, he just dint know why he was even bothering to do it.

A couple of nights ago, maybe it was a few months ago, or perhaps it was a few weeks ago, he honestly didn't know, the days didn't matter to him after all one day was just as shitty as the day before.

Regardless as he watched Pyrrha and Jaune walk next to one another he remembered the dream he had.

He had dreamt about a time, maybe it was the future, maybe it was a time that wouldn't come anymore, maybe he just imagined it all and it was all meaningless.

It didn't matter the fact was that he had dreamt it.

He had seen team JNPR along with team RWBY, don't get him wrong he wasn't particularly close with either team, but he had seen both teams die in front of him.

the girl that was meant to be a maiden, in the future, and the last Arc, the boy that would hide an entire kingdom, and the girl that fought an army.

He had seen them die, in that dream, he had seen his two nices and everyone else die until he was the last person left in the entire world.

Imagine his surprise when he woke up and there they were sitting together as if the universe had handed him a gift as if saying don't fuck it up this time.

So he took a chance, yeah he was drunk, so if they said no to him then it didn't matter because he was drunk, but if they said yes then he would help them as best as he could without getting too close.

So for the next few weeks, he did the one thing he knew would work, he made them spend as much meaningless time together as possible he couldn't train them himself, no his bad luck might get them killed but he could make sure they trained each other.

And what better way than for them to get to know one another.

That was the reason he made them exchange weapons, a person's weapon is a part of themselves, something unique to the individual, everyone has a sword, but there's always something different about the swords even if its an exact recopy of the one the guy next to them is using.

Maye it has more scratches, or the handle is torn or something.

hell, just by using another person's weapon you could understand the way they think, after all, a person's mentality is linked to their weapon.

So why did he make them go their separate ways, one they needed to learn to trust one another and the other reason is, both guys need to learn that the girls with them need to pass some time with them while doing something else besides fighting.

There was another reason, however, today something was going to happen if what his dreams were showing him were anything to go by, he would soon have to leave the kids behind and go get things set up before they went overboard and no one was left to save in this sinking ship he called a world
