Amity noticed that certain clothes don't fit anymore after giving birth to Azura. She becomes a little self-conscious about it. Making this because Amity would definitely inherit her mom's genes after giving birth.
Amity looked in a mirror and noticed that her hips, thighs, and behind are bigger than before. Amity turned around and looked at her butt, feeling self-conscious about her body changing. Her hips were already pretty big after puberty (Do they even have that in the Isles?) but ever since she gave birth, they've been bigger.
"What if Luz doesn't like me anymore?" Amity said, holding her hips.
Amity heard crying and ran to Azura's nursery. She picked up her baby and started rocking her a little while humming.
"Don't worry my little otter, mommy's here." Amity said.
Azura looked at Amity and hit her nose while making a "Bap" noise that sounded more like a raspberry than an actual word. Amity giggled.
"You are definitely Luz's child. Even at two months, you are full of trouble."
Amity kissed Azura's little head and put her down in the crib. Azura quickly fell asleep and Amity smiled.
"You also are willing to sleep for 18 hours a day. Just like Mami."
Amity walked back into her and Luz's room and went to the walk-in closet. She took off her dress and grabbed a pair of pants. She has to see if she was getting bigger. She struggled to put them on and let out a few breaths when she got them on.
"I thought you came out of there years ago."
Amity looked and saw Luz. Luz walked up to Amity and give her a kiss.
"Hey there, mama." Luz said, wiggling her eyebrows.
Amity started laughing and Luz wrapped an arm around her.
"Amity, what are you doing? You aren't supposed to be wearing pants until you fully heal from giving birth."
"I... I had to see something." Amity said.
"What did you have to see?" Luz asked.
"I... Luz, can I ask you something?"
"Anything."
"Do... do these pants make me look fat? Particularly in the hip and butt region."
Luz looked at her.
"Yeah, but you just gave birth, that's completely understandable." Luz said, "Amity, have you been feeling okay?"
"I... I was afraid you were going to leave me because I was getting fat."
"Amity, my mom's a nurse. I understand how the body changes from these things. Have you seen the pictures of my mom before she got pregnant, she was a twig." Luz held Amity's hands, "Amity, I will always love you, no matter what you look like. I didn't marry you because of your looks, I married you because you are a sweet, caring, wonderful person."
"Really?"
"Really." Luz said, placing her hands on Amity's hips, "Now, why don't I see what you look like without these pants."
Amity put her arms around Luz's neck.
"I think that's a great idea."
They left the closet for the second time in their lives and went to the bed, leaving clothes behind. Amity had to go back to the Healer's Office, where Kat had to remind them not to do that while healing.
