Glynda heard her scroll ring and she had to admit that she was happy to see that her mother had finally noticed that she had called.
"Hollow mom," Glynda said before her mom s voice nearly left her deaf.
'Glynda why didn't you tell me that you found yourself a man!' her mom said to her, with an overly enthusiastic voice
"Waite he's a lot younger than you, he must be a student in your school isn't he," her mom said to her yet when Glynda was about to answer she heard the voices of several young women begin to ask one question after another, thankfully Glynda wasn't able to understand what they were saying and even if she did she would deny that she could even understand them.
The Goodwitch family is a family where all of the women in the family have the same semblance meaning that they can all move things using their mind, the semblance itself is completely dependent on the individual.
Meaning that one woman could have enough power to move mountains while another well couldn't muster the power to move a single pebble and as such was useless in combat, or healing.
Her family is believed to be Matriartical in nature by most if not all people, but that couldn't have been further from the truth.
Glynda remembered an incident that stuck in her mind from when she was a teenager.
A group of young women liked to torment the men of the village because the men couldn't prove that the women were using their semblance to bully and harass them.
Normally the older women would have put those girls in their place but they didn't, instead, they allowed the men's resentment to grow and lure in the Grimm that lived in the area.
There is a reason why only the women have this semblance as the men usually have semblances that vary greatly.
The older women stopped any help from reaching the group of girls and had the men they were bullying refused to help them and allowed the Grimm to kill them both the girl's mothers and the elders of the village would have agreed with those boys.
Yet those same boys saved the same girls that had tormented them.
Glynda was brought back from her thoughts as she heard her mother's voice.
"So when am I going to meet my new son?" her mom asked her
"Mom about that, do you know about something called the Red Bull Hunt?" Glynda asked her mon
"Oh Glynda of course I do, but why do you want to know about something that no one does anymore?''
"I mean you aren't so dumb as to say that you are going to be the first one to get pregnant and declare that to a room filled with people" Glynda dropped her scroll the moment she heard her moms words
She remembered what Pyrrah said o Jaune when she left them in the hotel, I'll be the first or your number one, it was something along those lines
"Hellow Glynda," her mom said to her
Glynda picked up her scroll and began to tell her mom what happened, thankfully her mom and everyone else stayed quiet as she told them what had happened.
"I see," her mom said to her the moment Glynda stopped talking
"Well to be honest with you Glynda the hunt isn't anything important"
"Look the important thing is that you are married and you and your husband will have your entire lives to learn about each other" Glynda heard her mom say to her
"Mom I want to break off' Glynda bean to say to her mom but the woman stopped her
"No you don't, a Goodwitch doesn't just leave her husband because he's an inconvenience," her mom said to her
"Your husband is an Arc meaning that he swore an oath to you and those two other women"
"Now I'll be clear with you, the only one you can trust is me"
"Now that I have said that Glynda if those two women divorce him let them, but I will not tolerate my daughter doing such a thing"
"Mom" Glynda was about to protest when her desk began to float
'This was nothing more than her mom proving a point
"You connected your name to another's, I will not tolerate such a thing being taken lightly, not by another elder, not by a man or woman that marries into the Goodwitch family and especially not from my own daughter," her mom said to her with a voice that seemed to freeze the room
"Mom please" Glynda pleaded to her mom and after a moment that seemed to last for hours her mom finally spoke again
'Is he a bad man?" is he a good ma?' her mom asked her
'Glynda give him a chance and if the two of you agree that this marriage won't work I'll agree to the separation of the two" her mom's voice was soft now and Glynda felt herself begin to cry
"Remember what I told you," her mom asked her
'A Goodwich bonds herself to her husband and the two of them feel each other's souls" Glynda said to her mother
"Tell me Glynda can you feel his soul-changing yours?" her mom asked her
Glynda slowly moved her nad to her chest and she could barely hold the scroll anymore as she now her resolve was nearly completely broken and with a soft voice that was barely above a whisper she and said to her mom
"Yes, I can feel his heart beating inside me"
Glynda hung up and gave in to her feelings she could feel her heartbreaking as she felt Jaune's confusion - regret- there was excitement there, but overall, she could feel his fear of not knowing what to do about the marriage.
About her.
That same feelings were mixing with hers and were overwhelming her, Glynda could almost swear she hear Jaune speaking, but that was impossible he was nowhere near beacon.
She knew what this was, but she didnt want to accept it because if she did she would have to admit, that she- that she
Glynda's mom looked at her scroll and called someone he hadn't spoken to in a long time.
"Well did you hear?" she said to Jaunes grandfather
"That's right I guess the sapling isn't too different from the old tree, but to think that the story would repeat itself and with the same players once again," she said to him as she looked at the cut out of one of the three women from the story
