Glynda smiled as the girl knew the answer, but she wished that the girl had more confidence in herself so she could be comfortable speaking in public.

"Good, can anyone tell me where the border of Vale is?' she asked her class and she smirked as her class began to look at one another no knowing what to answer.

Glynda let out a breath she briefly closed her eyes and began to teach her class something they should have already known by now.

"The border of Vale is the wall surrounding our city, but the border of the kingdom is the outer wall, more specifically the last wall"

"Like you, all should know by now, but I'll assume that considering most of you didn't answer, it was because you didn't know the answer, the rest simply didn't want to answer"

'Who amongst you is which that's for you to know"

"The last wall is the edge of the kingdom, the area that separates the Grimm controlled lands of the east"

"It's there where unlicensed huntsmen - newly established towns - exploration teams and treasures from the fallen empire lie, there are also various criminal organizations roaming around"

"Notice that I did not attempt to separate any of these because they are all one and the same"

"The soldiers - explorers and well anyone living in those untamed lands do not follow any king, they do not follow our laws and in case any of you wanted to say that you could bring them to heel"

She stopped talking for a moment and waited until the class began to feel nervous because she hadn't said anything"

"It takes a combination of the military and licensed huntsmen to bring the towns under the control of the kingdom"

'I remind you that those towns are mostly composed of civilians" she said to her class, however she watched their reaction carefully, and unfortunately, Glynda didn't like what she was seeing.

The people living on the last wall needed to be strong just to survive, and that meant that they needed to know how to defend themselves. So it was obvious that they would have weaponry that was considerably more powerful than the common gun or sword that civilians owned, in the more civilized areas of the kingdom.

Then there was the rare chance that someone had found something from the lost empire and used it as a weapon.

Glynda had heard that entire strike teams had been wiped out by a scared person using something that they found but didn't understand.

She silently hoped that her students would learn to respect those they would be protecting because even the most common man can suddenly become a rare monster if they weren't careful.

"Miss Goddwitch why do we keep making more towns, I mean we're good aren't we?" one of the girls said to her, and Glynda couldn't help but lift an eyebrow at the way the girl spoke

"If you mean the kingdom's wealth and resources I can assure you that you're wrong," Glynda said to the girl

"Population growth affects our water - power and food supply, not to mention thins like lumber - dust and minerals needed to produce goods"

"Realistically speaking while venturing into the lands of the east is dangerous"

"There is always a chance that we can find a weapon- a vehicle or a power source at will help our kingdom grow," Glynda said to her class, yet the moment she finished talking was the moment the bell rang

She watched as her students left the room and she walked towards her chair before quickly taking her seat.

Yesterday after she saw Jaune and Pyrrha return to beacon she asked one of her friends in the medical department to check and see if she was pregnant.

The pregnancy test in beacon is perfect, it had to be, after all having a bunch of female and male teens and early twenties living together led to things happening, so the school couldn't allow pregnant women to go into the field.

Women born in the Goodwitch family are extremely fertile, so every one of them was a virgin until the day they finally settled and started their families.

Glynda was no different and she was scared, she unconsciously placed her hands on her stomach and wondered if Jaune had already tired of her.

Nither Jaune or herself for that matter had made any real attempt to meet, and if Glyda had to be honest she was thankful that they hadn't met by accident.

Yet if she was expecting Jaunes first, what then?

Could she deny her daughter's right to be an Arc, to know who her father is?

Could she abandon everything and move to a new town or kingdom to avoid being forced into a marriage that she honestly didn't want and had only occurred because of a drunken mistake.

What then?

Would she return to being a Huntsman and abandon her daughter for long periods while she worked either on the walls or exploration missions?

What she died and her daughter was left all alone not knowing that she had two families in Vale?'

No Glynda stopped herself from thinking, she was letting her mind wander too much and it had taken her to the worst outcomes she could arrive at.

No, she was Glydan Goodwitch, not some scare teenage girl.

If that man had been man enough to sleep with her then dam it, he would take responsibility and give his name to his daughter.

Glynda opened a drawer in her desk and took out a small mirror, she was glad she didn't cry, her eyes were red but she didn't cry.

She focused on her reflection and slowly rebuilt the mask the students had come to know her by, long gone was any hint of emotion, now the only thing present was the cold expression of a hard yet fair teacher.

Glynda placed the mirror back inside the drawer before closing it and got off her chair, she carefully placed both her hands on her stomach and smiled, they had each other that much as certain, so even if her mother...

No she stopped her mind from thinking such things, she had her daughter and her daughter had her, that was enough

Tomorrow she would speak to June - Pyrrha, and Winter about whatever happened after that happened and she would live with it.

She already knew that for Winter this marriage was nothing more than a way to keep he father away.

She already knew Pyrrha's feelings towards Jaune and as much as she didn't want to know, she knew how uncertain Jaune felt about everything.

She walked out of her class and barely managed to avoid running into

"Mom," Glynda said to her mom as they stood in front of each other, she hesitated for a moment before hugging the woman

her mother was the same as her, well not exactly, her mom was just a little bit shorted and her hair was gray instead of blond, other than that they were practically the same person, of course, their personalities were different, despite what people say

Glynda knew that she didn't have her mother's personality.

Her mom returned her embrace but Glynda could feel her mom's emotions.

"Mom?" Glynda said to her mom, but the woman didn't let go

Glynda's heart began to beat faster as her mom slowly separated from her and led her back into the classroom

Glynda suddenly felt as if she was remembering every occasion she had gotten into trouble and she expected her mother to either yell at her or give her a spanking, but nothing came.

"Your husband will leave tomorrow, if he dies he dies"

"You will be living with the eldest of the Arcs, his grandfather," her mom said to her

"It's too soon," Glynda said to her mom but the woman just looked into her eyes

"No it's not, in fact, he should have left already but we didn't know what his mission would be, now we do"

"If he lives both you and my granddaughter will be part of the Arc family if he dies nothing changes and the Goodwitch family gets a new member," her mom said to her

"As we speak both the Schnee and the Nikos families are talking to their daughters," her mom said to her

Glynda didn't know what to say, it was too soon, she needed to talk to Jaune and she needed to know if he would accept her, his daughter, but if he left now what proof would she have that the child she had in her arms when he came back was his.

{Schnee Manor]

"You know when your sisters were younger, your mother would tell them stories of her youth, back when my lungs didn't fail me and I led the men into the caves," Nicholas Schnee said to his grandson

"Yes she started the fires, but I fanned the flames of both your sister's rebellions"

"Now I'm doing the same for you," Nicholas said to his grandson

Whitley Schnee walked up to his bed and stared at his grandfather's sword, next to it was an armor that fit Whitley perfectly.

"The choice is up to you, go and join the hunt, find who you are"

"Or not, it's up to you," NcholasSchnee said to his grandson before ending the call, he would know if his grandson chose to find his place in the world or stay underneath his father's shadow and live his life as his father's puppet soon enough.
