Eda got on her staff and flew away. Lilith got her own staff out and looked at the two girls.
"Alright, hop on." Lilith said.
They did and Lilith took off.
"So, while Edalyn is gone, you both will be at my manor. I can't allow you two to go around in each other's bodies and I can't let you go to the castle, Kikimora will kill me."
"As she'll probably kill me." Amity said, "She can't kill Luz because then she's unemployed."
The ride was quiet after that. They landed outside Lilith's manor, where the twins were waiting.
"Emira, Edric, before you do anything, I need to speak with you." Lilith said.
"Yes, mom?"
"Luz and Amity... swapped bodies." Lilith said, "Which means no messing with them."
"Wait, they swapped bodies?" Emira asked, "How did they do that?"
"Well, there was this book and-"
Amity put a hand over Luz's mouth.
"They don't need to know that, they just need to know that I'm in your body and you're in mine." Amity said.
"Our sister is in the princess's body?" Edric asked, "Think of all the stuff we could get away with!"
Emira high fived him, before Lilith glared at them.
"You will do no such thing." Lilith said, "This is a serious problem and I can't afford to waste time trying to mess with one of your schemes again. Understand?"
"Yes, mom." The twins said.
"Good." Lilith said, "Now, everyone inside, there is much to do."
The four of them walked into the manor, while Lilith just looked at the sun rising.
"I have a lot of work to do, better start." Lilith said.
No one said being the interim Emperor was easy. Lilith walked to her office and started to do work.
"I bet Edalyn's having a blast right now." Lilith grumbled.
In a forest, several miles away from Lilith's Manor, Eda, who was in torn clothes, messy hair, and several cuts, bruises, broken bones, and even an arrow sticking out of her shoulder, ran through the forest. She stopped and looked at the item in her hand. A bag with a gold dust inside.
"Well, that's one down." Eda said, when she heard tribal shouting, "Ah, fuck me."
She started running again as a native tribe ran after her.
"Titan, I hope these guys aren't cannibals!" Eda said, "I bet Lilith has it easy right now!"
Eda summoned her staff and flew off.
"Well, that was... hell." Eda said, looking at her shoulder, "I'm going to have to go to a Healer... I'm sending the bill to Lilith."
