Chapter 45-Remembering
Clarke's P.O.V
Clarke walks through the tower. She goes to the elevator and goes down to the floor the nightbloods were on. She looks at the guard. "Is the Commander here?" Clarke asks the guard, who nods. Clarke walks down the hall to the door. She cracks the door open, so nobody hears her and watches Lexa.
"Where is Titus?" The youngest nightblood named Sansa asked. Lexa smiles at the child.
"Titus is training the next flamekeeper. He is getting old," Lexa says.
"How are you feeling?" Aden asks as he looks at her bandages.
"I am fine," Lexa says.
"Is it true that Wanheda fought with you?" Another nightblood named Tyler asks.
"Yes, I wouldn't have won that fight without Wanheda. She saved me," Lexa says. Clarke smiles as she looks at her. She pushes the door open.
"So nice to get praise from you, Commander," Clarke says, making Lexa look at her.
"How long have you been out there?" Lexa questions.
"Since that one asked where Titus was," Clarke answers as he looks at the little girl.
"Well, this is Wanheda or the Mountain slayer, the leader of the hundred, the leader of the clanless," Lexa says. Clarke smiles and waves at the children.
"Who taught you to fight?" Aden questions her.
"My friend Skylah, Roan, and the Commander a little before the fight," Clarke answers.
"Are you going to fight in the tournament?" Another nightblood asked. Lexa looks at Clarke, curious about her answer.
"Yeah, I'll be fighting for my people in the tournament," Clarke says. "If the Commander decides to fight in the tournament, maybe I can knock on her ass," Clarke says with a smirk.
"I'll guess you'll figure out if I am fighting tomorrow," Lexa says. "That's enough for today. Go play," Lexa says to the nightbloods, who nod as they stand up and leave. Lexa looks at Clarke. "What was so important that you interrupted my lesson with them?"
"What lesson? They were asking you questions. I thought their training would be more serious," Clarke says.
"It usually is, but I plan on changing the conclave, so none of them have to die. They should be allowed to enjoy being children. I have no plans to die anytime soon,"
"You better not. I like your heart beating," Clarke says as she walks up to Lexa. "The queen of Azgeda is here. That's why I came to find you," Clarke explains.
"Then let us go greet her," Lexa says as they leave.
Lexa's P.O.V
Lexa and Clarke walk into the throne room and look at Lucy. "Commander, Wanheda," Lucy says with a slight bow.
"Lucy. How has Azgeda been?" Lexa asks.
"Good, we are doing fine. The people are happy, the food is plentiful, and the bad people are dead," Lucy answers.
"We have not had a chance to talk since Nia's death," Lexa says.
"You were busy with your brother Commander. It's okay," She reassures Lexa.
"I'm going to go find our friends. Come find us when you are done," Clarke says to Lexa, who nods as the blond leaves.
"She is quite pretty," Lucy says. "Do you know if she is seeing anybody?"
"She is," Lexa answers her.
"A shame," Lucy says before she looks back at Lexa. "Sorry, I got a little distracted. I have made some changes to Azgeda. I killed Nia's executors,"
"Good, all this can be discussed over the next few days. Go rest or explore the city," Lexa tells Lucy, who nods as she leaves. A smirk on her face as she leaves the room. Lexa leaves to find the rest of her friends.
Wells's P.O.V
Wells stops his horse outside a small trading post a few hours from Azgeda. "Why are we here," Daisy asks.
"We forgot a map," Wells answers. "I got a dagger I can trade," Wells explains as he pulls a dagger out of his bag. Daisy and Wells walk into the shop and look at the woman at the front desk.
"Hey, what can I do for you?" She asks. The woman was of average height with a slim build, long blond hair, and hazel green eyes.
"I'm looking for a map that will help us get around better," Wells explains to her.
"Niylah," A man says as he comes to the front. He was tall with short blond hair and hazel eyes, and a muscular build. He looks at Wells. "I've seen you. You came to Polis with Wanheda," The man says.
"Yes, I'm Wells Jaha, and this is my friend Daisy," Wells says.
"I am Robert, and this is my daughter Niylah. What do you need?" Robert asks.
"A map of the clans. A way to get around," Wells answers.
"I got a few," Robert says.
"I got a dagger to trade," Wells says as he shows him the dagger.
"No need. A friend of Wanheda's is a friend of mine. This is a gift," Robert says.
"Are you sure?" Daisy questions.
"Yes," Robert answers as he goes to the back. He comes back out with a map a few minutes later. "Are you two going to the tournament tomorrow?"
"Tournament?" Wells asks, confused.
"Tomorrow, there is a tournament between all the clans, Skaikru and Wanheda's people. Nobody will die, but it will be fun to watch," Niylah explains. Wells looks at Daisy.
"Sounds like a fun time. We wouldn't be cleaning up bodies or preparing for a fight," Daisy says. Wells nods, agreeing with her.
"But right after we leave," Wells says.
"Of course," Daisy says.
"How about you two stay here tonight. Tomorrow morning Niylah and I are riding out. We should get there just before they burn the bodies," Robert offers.
"We don't want to intrude," Wells says.
"You won't, I promise," Robert says.
"Okay, thank you," Daisy says. Robert nods as he leads them to a room.
Murphy's P.O.V
Murphy walked towards the back of the group as Clarke, Raven, Octavia, and Blair talked upfront. Murphy walked in between Lincoln and Monty. "You boys look like you are having fun," Lexa comments as she walks up behind them. They look at her.
"Yep, Jasper, Skylah, Anya, and Luna are gods know where we are behind a girl talk," Murphy replies sarcastically.
"We can hear you, Murphy," Clarke says.
"Good for you," Murphy says as he looks at Lexa. "Why don't you go join 'em,"
"I'm good. Girl talk is not my thing," Lexa says. Murphy looks between Lexa and Clarke.
"Raven," Murphy says, making his girlfriend look at him. "Who do you think is the top? Clarke or Lexa?" Raven, Octavia, Harper, and Monty burst out laughing as Clarke's blushes deep red, and the grounders looked confused.
"Top?" Lincoln questions as they laugh.
"The person who takes control in the bed," Murphy explains, causing Lexa to blush as well.
"That is none of your business," Clarke sharply says.
"Clarke. Clarke is the top," Raven answers as she stops laughing. "Lexa is scary when everybody is around, but when it is just here in Clarke, she becomes a loving puppy,"
"I could kill all of you," Lexa says.
"You wouldn't. You love us too much," Octavia says.
"I liked it better when you were at the Oil rigs," Lexa growls as Octavia continues to smirk.
"We are done with this conversation," Clarke says as she starts to walk again.
"Fucking Skaikru," Lexa mumbles as she follows them.
Kane's P.O.V
Kane sat in his room looking at a letter he had found at his door. He sighs as he sets it down. He hears a knock at the door. "Come in," Kane says. The door opens, and Abby walks in.
"Have you seen Clarke?" Abby asks Kane, who shakes his head. "What's wrong?" Kane grabs the letter and hands it to Abby.
"Kane, you know this is bullshit," Abby says as she looks at it. "Where did you get this?"
"It was here. But at the bottom. That is Jaha's name signed," Kane says. "Someone got pregnant on the Ark a second time, and they had an abortion, or at least Jaha thought they did. I had a child that is now dead," Kane says.
"Who cleaned Jaha's room?" Abby asks.
"Jackson," Kane says. "Jaha kept that and was never going to tell me."
"Are you sure Callie never got pregnant?" Abby asks Kane, who shakes his head. "The mother's name is crossed out. That means Jaha didn't want you to know who she was. Why?"
"Maybe he did it after I won. A one final fuck you," Kane says.
"Who would have faked an abortion?" Abby asks.
"Doctor James. He was caught doing it and floated. He said that was the only woman he ever did it to," Kane explains.
"Why didn't I know about this?" Abby asks.
"We kept it on the down-low. Only Jaha and I knew. The rest of the council thought he stole drugs," Kane explains. Abby nods.
"So there could be a lot of people who had second kids that we didn't know about," Abby says.
"Yeah, they may have given them to other families who knows. This one may be dead," Kane says.
"Who all did you sleep with?" Abby asks. "Did you cheat on Callie?" Kane sighs but nods.
"Once. I don't remember her name. It was one night, and I never saw her again," Kane explains.
"Well, think about it for a little bit. Maybe you'll remember," Abby says. She pats Kane's shoulder before she leaves.
Luna's P.O.V
Luna knocks on the door to Blair's room. Blair opens the door and looks at her. "Hey, what's up?" Blair asks.
"Can I come in?" Luna asks. She walks into the room and looks at Blair. "I bet you are wondering why I asked you to come here."
"Yeah, I am," Blair says.
"You are a great fighter, Blair. I trust you, and you love Floukru, and that is how I know I can leave it in your hands," Luna says.
"What are you talking about?" Blair asks.
"I have entered a relationship with Anya. I can't stay in that relationship if I come back to Flourkru," Luna says. "I will be the Ambassador of Flourkru. I want you to become the new clan leader."
"Are you serious?" Blair asks, shocked.
"Yes, it will be done after the tournament. If you don't want to do it, let me know. Think about it," Luna says before she leaves the room. Blair sits down, shocked.
Kane's P.O.V
Kane was trying to sleep. He couldn't get that letter out of his head. He thought hard about that night, and his eyes opened. "Aurora Blake," Kane says as he remembers the woman.
Thanks for reading. Next chapter, we get into the tournament and celebration. If you can't figure out who Kane's child is, think about it. It was supposed to be in the hundred, but they didn't do it. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
