Notes: Guess who's back? That's right, it's me! Here is that chapter I should've gotten out to y'all way sooner than this, but ya know writers block and such. Anyway I hope you enjoy it!
Boscha was standing in front of the owl house, grimacing at the fact she had to be here on her weekend and not with her sweet Willow. Begrudgingly she knocked on the door, only to immediately regret her decision when the thing she thought was a decoration sprung out and wrapped around her.
"HEY NEW FRIEND! DON'T THINK I'VE EVER SEEN YOU HERE BEFORE, WANNA PLAY SOME GAMES!? I'M REALLY GOOD AT HIDE AND SEEK, YOU HIDE I'LL SEEK! OOH IS THAT A BUG!?" Boscha swore her ears were bleeding from the shrill voice of the house demon, struggling to get out but he gripped her too tightly.
"Let go of me you freak, I'm here to talk to Luz!" She shrieked, and Hooty dropped her with a loud thud. She groaned angrily as she stood up, her butt sore from landing on the hard ground.
"OH YOU'RE A FRIEND OF LUZ! WELL A FRIEND OF LUZ IS A FRIEND OF MINE, I'LL GO GET HER! STAY RIGHT HERE NEW FRIEND! HOOT!" And Hooty zoomed up to Luz's window, and Boscha heard a frightened scream a second later. Hooty then retracted into the door, and it was like he was a decoration again.
Boscha waited until the door opened, and a grumpy looking Luz with disheveled hair walked out. "Sorry about Hooty, he gets excited when he meets new people."
"I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR BOUNDARIES!" Hooty chimed in.
Luz fixed her hair as best she could, then gestured for Boscha to follow. Boscha looked around at the messy interior, yeah this was… About what she was expecting. They went upstairs to Luz's room, and Luz sat cross legged on her sleeping mat.
So Boscha sat across from her, still somewhat nervous about this whole thing. "Okay, I'm gonna be honest, we have a lot to work on!" Luz said, and instantly Boscha scowled.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean!?" She nearly shouted, but she quieted down when Luz pointed at her, her finger an inch away from her nose.
"That right there!" She said somewhat sternly. "That immediate jump to anger is the first thing that needs to go! I wasn't insulting you Boscha, but you immediately went on the defensive. You need to learn that not everyone is against you, chill out a bit."
Boscha dropped a little, the first minute and she already failed at being a better person. But Luz gently placed a hand on her shoulder, and she looked up at the Latina. "Don't worry, you had to deal with Hooty earlier and that would make anybody irritable. But I do think this is a good place to start, so here's what we're going to do." Luz stood up, and Boscha followed suit.
"I'm going to say things to you, and you're going to respond. Some will be insults and some will just be normal comments, you must react calmly to the normal comments but you can fire back on the insults! Just uh… don't say anything too mean to me okay?" Boscha rolled her shoulders and prepared, giving a little hand gesture signaling Luz to give it to her.
"Okay, we'll start easy. Hello Boscha, you look very pretty today!" Luz said cheerfully, giving the demon girl a little wave.
Boscha raised her chin and smirked in happiness. "Thanks, I know." She thought she had that in the bag, but Luz's frown told her otherwise.
Luz shook her head. "Boscha, when someone compliments you it's normally courteous to compliment them back." She explained and Boscha realized her mistake, angry that her pride had lost her yet another point.
"Let me try again!" She said determined, and Luz smiled and nodded.
"Hey Boscha, I like your skirt, it's super cute!" She said, not using the same line so it was at least a little hard.
Boscha put on a smile and waved. "Thanks, I like your sweater!" Luz threw her hands in the air and cheered, giving the triclops a thumbs up.
"Great job Boscha, now let's put on some music and have a training montage! I've got the perfect song for this!" Luz pulled out her phone and placed it on the speaker dock, pressing play.
STACY'S MOM, HAS GOT IT GOING ON! SHE'S ALL THAT I WANT, AND I'VE WAITED FOR SO LO~ONG!
STACY CAN'T YOU SEE, YOU'RE JUST NOT THE GIRL FOR ME! I KNOW IT MIGHT BE WRONG, BUT I'M IN LOVE WITH STACY'S MOM!
Luz turned so pink that she and Boscha could be sisters, and she scrambled to change the song. "Wrong one! Hold on!" She said as she frantically tapped on the screen.

Luz yanked her phone off the speaker, silencing it and blushing red as blood while Boscha snickered to herself. "What!?" Luz shouted in a flustered fashion.
Boscha shook her head and wiped away a tear. "Nothing, I just think Amity would be a big fan of your playlist." She said with a sly smirk, but it evidently went over Luz's head. She looked confused before cycling through her songs, lighting up when she found it. She placed her phone on the dock again and pressed play, and out of the speakers a jaunty guitar song started playing.
SO SHE SAID WHAT'S THE PROBLEM BABY? WHAT'S THE PROBLEM I DON'T KNOW, WELL MAYBE I'M IN LOVE (LOVE) THINK ABOUT IT, EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT, CAN'T STOP THINKING 'BOUT IT
Luz held up some flash cards of her own making. She held up one with Willow and Boscha put a hand over her heart, then she held up one with Amity and Boscha's hand lit on fire. But Luz shook her finger at her and she begrudgingly extinguished it, then she held up a card of Mattholomew.
"Who is that again?" Boscha asked, trying hard to remember his name, Luz sighing as she slapped her own forehead.
HOW MUCH LONGER WILL IT TAKE TO CURE THIS, JUST TO CURE IT CAUSE I CAN'T IGNORE IT IF IT'S LOVE (LOVE) MAKES ME WANT TO TURN AROUND AND FACE ME BUT I DON'T KNOW NOTHING 'BOUT LOVE

"Oh my god Boscha! Your third eye is like, super gross!" Luz said in a mocking tone.
Boscha crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes. "Coming from the round eared freak who can't do real magic…" She waited for a second for Luz to break character, before realizing the tears in Luz's eyes were real. "Um, too mean?"
"Too mean." Was all Luz said in a whimpery voice.
COME ON, COME ON, THE WORLD WILL FOLLOW AFTER
"Alright let's work on that smile!" Luz said, scooting closer, their knees touching.
"What's wrong with my smile?" She asked calmly, remembering that she can't jump to anger.
"Well is not that there's anything wrong with it, it's just, you have a habit of smirking all the time. It's intimidating and makes you seem disingenuous." Luz explained, and Boscha lowered her head a bit.
"With a friendlier smile you'll seem a lot more approachable, and it'll accentuate how pretty you already are!" Luz said in an encouraging manner, and she gave her a big smile.
COME ON, COME ON, 'CAUSE EVERYBODY'S AFTER LOVE
"Wow Boscha, I like your haircut, it makes your face look slimmer." Luz said in an overly fake friendly tone.
"Why thanks!" Boscha said in an equally condescending tone. "It's almost as nice as your backwards view on fashion!"
"Very good Boscha!" Luz said, clapping. "Backhanded compliments have always been difficult for me to see through."
Boscha grinned triumphantly, crossing her arms and puffing out her chest. "Oh please, I'm the queen of backhanded compliments." She said proudly, only for the silence to make her wither under Luz's disapproving look.
"I- I mean I used to be… hehehe…" she said nervously
SO I SAID I'M A SNOWBALL RUNNING, RUNNING DOWN INTO THE SPRING THAT'S COMING ALL THIS LOVE, MELTING UNDER BLUE SKIES, BELTING OUT SUNLIGHT SHIMMERING LOVE
Luz held the Willow card up again. "Hey cupcake!" Boscha said dreamily, then Luz held up Amity and Boscha sighed. "Hey Amity…"
Luz scratched her chin. "Better, but not great." And she held up Amity again, and Boscha groaned as she pulled on the sides of her hair.
WELL BABY I SURRENDER TO THE STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM, NEVER EVER END OF ALL THIS LOVE, WELL I DIDN'T MEAN TO DO IT, BUT THERE'S NO ESCAPING YOUR LOVE
Boscha watched as Luz jammed out to this part, mouthing the words and ripping on an imaginary guitar. As she danced about Boscha couldn't help but feel a bit jealous, Luz was simple and could enjoy the littlest things like it was the best day of her life.
Boscha was always worried about keeping up appearances, making sure that if someone didn't love her, they at least feared her. But she honestly felt miserable most of the time, but Luz… seemed genuinely happy most of the time.

Your hair looks like a bird's nest!" Luz offered in a snarky tone.
"Who cares, I don't see you trying super hard in the hair department." Boscha shot back

The amity card was held up, and Boscha took a deep breath in through her nose then out through her mouth. "Hey Amity." She said in a calm and almost friendly manner. Luz smiled impressed.
COME ON, COME ON, SETTLE DOWN INSIDE MY LOVE
"Alright, because of our rules and the effects of the love potion you aren't allowed to kiss Willow, but that doesn't mean you can't romance her. So in a standard kiss scenario you come ninety percent then I would come the remaining ten." Luz said, standing directly in front of Boscha, the pink demon blushing from how close Luz was to her face
COME ON, COME ON, JUMP A LITTLE HIGHER
Luz leaned in a little, and in an almost commanding voice said. "Now, show me the magic." Boscha leaned in ninety like she was told, but then Luz said again. "Show me the magic!" So Boscha surged forwards and kissed the human on the lips.
Luz recoiled. "WHAT WAS THAT!?" She shouted, wiping her lips, while staring wide eyed and blushing.
"I WAS SHOWING YOU THE MAGIC!!!" Boscha shouted back, equally embarrassed and blushing super hard.
"NO, I SAID YOU COME NINETY, THEN I COME TEN! YOU NEVER GO THE FULL HUNDRED!!! YOU STOLE MY FIRST KISS YOU OVERZEALOUS LOVE SICK JOCK!!!" Luz shouted before walking off to wash her mouth out, leaving a very wide eyed and embarrassed Boscha.
"Amity is going to kill me…" She whispered.

Boscha now found herself dancing in a silly fashion with the human, not a care in the world as they laughed and jammed out to the music.

"Smiles are like a reflection of our inner selves, when we have happy thoughts or memories they shine through our smile. Let's try this, close your eyes and think of Willow. Think of how she makes you feel deep down."
Boscha did, and she saw the plant witch smiling so big at a little plant. It was so infectious that Boscha felt it spreading onto her face. She blushed with embarrassment, but she didn't care. She was smiling, and for the first time Boscha felt good.
WE'RE ACCIDENTALLY IN LOVE
"Wow!" Luz said, flabbergasted.
"What!?" Boscha said, suddenly self conscious.
"You have a really nice smile, Boscha." She said, returning the smile, making Boscha feel warm inside.

They spent the rest of the weekend working on Boscha's strengths and weaknesses.

Luz lifted her up whenever she succeeded.

Over those two days Boscha felt something else growing inside her.

"Selfie!" She shouted, pulling Luz in and snapping a picture of them making silly faces.

Luz held out two tickets for the carnival tomorrow after school, and Boscha squealed, hugging her and spinning her around. "Thank you!!!" She shouted.
COME ON, COME ON, AND THE WORLD'S A LITTLE BRIGHTER
Luz put a hand on her shoulder and asked. "Do you mind if I do something with your hair real quick?"
Boscha looked a little surprised, but nodded and turned around.
Luz then pulled her hair loose and started brushing the dark pink locks, finishing off by putting a beautiful green flower in her hair just above her left ear.

Luz held up a mirror for Boscha and she saw the new her, free, happy and most of all ready!

Later that evening Boscha and Luz were finishing up a movie, and as the credits started to roll Luz turned to Boscha and asked. "So Boscha, what lesson did I want you to learn from this movie?"
Boscha snickered and said in a snarky tone. "That your world is super weird but also very entertaining?"
Luz rolled her eyes but still smiled. "No, the point was that Shrek let others' views and opinions of him define who he was, and because of that he was lonely and unhappy."
Boscha thought long and hard about that, and yeah it did mirror her life quite a lot. People always told her she was a winner who deserved everything, and those who didn't like her called her a bully and a bitch.
For so long she had been who she was because of what others had said, but now that she was in love with Willow none of that seemed to matter any more. For the first time in a long time she was genuinely happy.
"I don't understand why they kept calling him ugly though to be honest, he's actually quite attractive by our world's standards." Boscha said, pointing to the DVD case.
Luz threw her arms in the air. "Thank you, I knew I wasn't the only one who found Shrek hot!" Both girls started laughing, when they quieted down Boscha seemed to be thinking. "Whatcha thinking about?" Luz asked softly.
"I just… want to thank you Luz. After all I've done to you and your friends I didn't deserve your help, but now I think I actually have a chance with Willow, and it's all thanks to you." She gave Luz a genuine smile.
Luz smiled back but it faltered a little, and she placed a hand on The Triclops' hand in a comforting way. "I wish you the best of luck on your date tomorrow, but just… just don't be too heartbroken if it turns out she doesn't feel the same way."
Boscha leaned over and hugged her new friend, and said in a determined voice. "Don't worry, I'm going to show her the Magic tomorrow."
Notes: So what did y'all think? I do want to clarify Boscha isn't falling in love with Luz, she's just starting to realize what everyone else finds so charming about her.
