The sound of a single gunshot could be heard through the night, this had been the third stray devil they had killed this weak.

Mark looked at Max before turning his attention to the unconscious girl laying on the ground.

Yeah, this isn't good" Max said to Mark as he looked up and found a boy that wasn't a man laying on the side of a tree.

The boy had the left side of his body completely torn off and the only reason he was alive, was simply because his body hadn't run out of blood yet.

"I'll deal with him," Max said to Mark before he walked up to the dying boys.

Max stood in front of the boy, but he was already completely gone Max wasn't even sure if the boy even knew he was there, Max shook his head as he realized how much suffering the kid must have been through because his face was stuck showing complete agony.

Max simply raised his hand and healed the boy, he watched as bones- meat - veins- muscles and every other thing a person needed to live regrew, then he made the boy fall into a deep sleep so that he could alleviate the pain.

"So you saved him," Mark said to Max as he walked up o him and Ma noticed that Mark had the brown-haired girl they had just saved in his arms, however, what caught Max's attention was the gold ring the girl had in hon her finger.

"Internal bleeding and I don't know how that ting managed to cut her sole, so just patching her up isn't going to do much," Mark said to Max before he noticed that his friend was casting another spell on the boy.

"I know, that thing ate part of this guy's soul, but it's regrowing now, so what are we going to do with them?" Max asked Mark, however before Mark could answer they both felt magic in the air and instantly Max teleported himself, as well as Mark and the two teens away before they had to fight whatever showed up.

"Hey look they're waking up" she heard a man say to someone she couldn't see.

"Slow down son, relax you're safe now" she heard another man say to some else, she still couldn't see wh they were talking to, her eyes were heavy.

"Can you talk the heard the first man ask her at least she thought he asked her considering that no one else answered.

"Y-yes" she answered him, but it was hard to talk.

"Okay, looks like the two of you are healing fast, you should be on your feet in one or two days, don't worry about your parents because we already called them," the same man said to her and who else was there with her.

She felt something warm touch her skin, it wasn't that someone had touched her, no, she didn't feel a person's hand on her, instead, she felt a warm sensation cover her, then she fell asleep.

"Don't worry about her, she's just asleep, that thing nearly killed the two of you" he watched the two men as they began to glow with that strange power of theirs before he felt the warm sensation wash over him.

He could see the monster in front of him, even though it was nowhere near him at the moment.

It all happened so fast one moment he and Aika were going home after hanging out together and the next moment he found himself hitting something hard, he couldn't feel half of his body but he knew that it wasn't there anymore.

The worst part was that nothing hurt, in fact, he couldn't feel anything anymore, then he saw it biting Aika, that thing locked eyes with him and he noticed it smiled when Aika screamed.

Then everything went dark.

Aika and Motohama opened their eyes they somehow felt better than ever before, neither of them could move but they felt great, the warm feeling in their bodies hadn't gone away instead it had gotten stronger.

If either of them had to put the strange feeling flowing through them into words, they would have said that it felt as if the warmth of whatever was being done to them was now a part of them.

"Good you're awake," A man said to the of them as he walked into the room and placed the sandwich he was eating on the table next to him, the table itself was right next to the entrance of their room.

"Okay, my name is Mark and you the two of you are lucky, we managed to get to you in time," Mark said to them before he walked up to Aika and pulled her hands until she was sitting on the bed, he then walked up to Motohama and did the same.

"I'll make this short, neither one of you can go anywhere except for your house and maybe to the doctor for at least a month, the warm feeling the two of you were feeling was magic filtering into your bodies"

"Yes magic is real, and by that extent so are gods - monsters- angels - and devils, the two of you were attacked by a devil" Mark took a deep breath before continuing his explanation.

"Max and I aren't from your world, just like the two of you we don't know why this happened to us, but we had to deal with it, just like the two of you have to deal with knowing that you nearly died and that these things are out there in the world," Mark said to the two of them.

"Why can't we leave our houses," Aika asked Mark

"Because your bodies are overflowing with raw energy, normally healing the two of you would have done the job, but that thing injured your souls, so we had to heal them, along with the physical bodies the two of you have" Mark answered Aika.

"I have to go to school and my parents they" Motohama began to protest but Mark interrupted him.

"We already contacted them and explained to them wats going on with the two of you," Mark said to Motohama, before getting up and walking to a nearby window.

He graved the large curtain and pulled it to the left and showed the pair of teens that they weren't in the same world they once knew.

"I think, staying alive is more important than going to school, we already spoke to your parents and they agreed to let us train the two of you if you agree to it of course," Mark said to the two teens before he took out a pair of rings and threw one Aika and the other at Motohama.

"Now if the two of you are certain that you have to go to school and hang out with your friends, these rings will keep that power of yours hidden from everyone around you."

"They also give the two of you the ability to see how the people around you look like, so you can stay away from danger," Mark said to the two teens before walking back to the table at the entrance to the room picking up his sandwich and immediately begin to eat it

the three of them looked at each other and just listened to Mark's loud chewing before he swallowed and a.

'Sorry are the two of you hungry? I can bring you something to eat" Mark said to the two of them.

"No, you just said a lot and we're trying to understand it all" Aika said to mark before raising her knees and placing her head between them, and immediately hugged her knees with her hands.

"You said that you talked to our parents," Motohama asked Mark.

Mark took another bite of his sandwich chewed for a little bit and swallowed.

"They were here in this room with the two of you, and yes they know everything, don't worry they're perfectly fine, we had to tell them where the two of you were after all" Mark answered Motohama as if what he just said was the most common thing imaginable

"What do we do now?" Motohama asked Mark

"You go home, either stay inside or go to school and live your lives. These things were in the world before you were attacked and they will be in the world after you were attacked" Mark answered Motohama, however the way he said it, it sounded as if he was speaking to both teens.

"Mr, Mark, where are we?" Motohama asked merk who just smiled.

"This is the flying castle of Aincrad, it's inside a Reality Marble or a pocket dimension if you want to call it that. So don't worry nothing that wants to hurt you can find you in here." Mark answered motohama"

"...You said that you would train us, how?" Motohama asked Mark.

Mark takes in a deep breath and exhales "Max and I are busy doing our own thing, so the two of you will have to fight the people inside of the castle"

"Don't worry none of the people or monsters here are real, so you don't have to worry about killing any one of them because they were never alive, to begin with"

"With that out of the way, have either of you ever played video games?" Mark asked the two teens however neither of them reacted in any way.

"While you're in here you can fight against powerful creatures and start over if you get killed, like I said earlier, don't worry the creatures in here aren't real so they can't kill you"

'At worst you'll pass out and have to start the fight from the beginning, so you'll have to keep fighting the same person or creature over and over until you can finally beat it" Mark answered Motohama

"By the way, in case you're wondering, the one thing that is real," Mark answered Motorama before moving out of the way when he felt Max tap him on the shoulder.

"The two of you have been sleeping for a day and a night, so even if you aren't hungry, eat it," Max said to the two teens as he placed a small table between the two beds they were sitting on and immediately putting two bows of soup

Mark and Max walked out of the room as they watched the pair of teens start to eat their food.

"So what do you think? Max asked Mark

"They're in shock but other than that, they're perfectly okay" mark answered Max before pausing for a moment and realizing what his friend had asked him.

"Honestly, I don't think thee two can go back to their old lives, power calls upon power, and right now they have a lot of it," Mark said to Max

"So how did it go with their parents?" Mark asked Max

"To be honest, it feels wrong putting thoughts into people's heads, but they know everything and if those two decide they want us to help them, then their parents won't get in the way" Max answered Mark before teleporting Aika and Motohama to their houses.

Max smiled as he imagined the surprised faces of the two teens when they suddenly realized that they are in their rooms.

Max looked at Mark and smiled it was almost time for the two of them to finally go home, it had taken everything they had to make it all work.

In the past, the two of them would fantasize about how it would be like if they could enter the fantasy worlds they had seen on t.v or read in comic books or mangas.

The problem is, that the stories they read were seen through a filter that was meant for the main character, so they only ever saw the light side of it all.
