Hope you guys have a great Pride Month. I don't care about what Disney thinks, as long Dana make Luz and Amity being LGBT, then that's enough for me.
It has finally arrived. After waiting for months, Luz can finally celebrate her LGBT side. Now all she has to do is to wait for a special someone. Luckily, she won't have to wait. A knock can be heard from her door. Luz quickly opened the door to reveal a green-mint hair girl.
"Amity!" Luz hugged Amity tightly which made the young Blight girl face turn red.
"H-Hey, Luz." Said Amity patting her back "Came as soon I got your text."
"Got everything you need for this month?" Luz asked.
Amity pulls out a flag which has dark orange, orange, light orange, white, pink, dusty pink, and dark rose colors. Amity is even wearing a jacket with the same flag on the sleeves and front. Luz grabbed it and tied it around her neck, turning it into a cape.
"Now for the final touch." Luz pulled Amity to the living room. She places Amity sitting on the couch. Sitting down also, she grabs some paint. Using her fingers Luz put paint on Amity's cheeks resemble the Lesbian flag "There, all done. What you think?" Luz holding up her mirror for Amity to see.
Amity could feel her eyes watering as she gave a small smile. Luz noticing Amity moist eyes frowned "What's wrong? You don't like it?" Luz asked which made Amity quickly wipe her eyes.
"N-No… I-I actually… I love it." Amity softly spoke "It's just that… I don't know how my folks would react."
"Your parents? What's wrong with your parents?"
"They're, how you say… very strict and homophobic. You remember my older sister?"
"Who, Emria?"
"No, my other older sister Amelia. The girl your sister is dating."
"Oh, yeah I remember her. Did something happen between her and your parents?"
Amity nodded sadly "When they found out that Amelia is gay, they… well they immediately had an argument and disown her right then and there. They even said bad things to her which hurt her more than physical pain. But at least she's finally free from my parents influence."
"Is that why you're crying? This must be your first time to celebrate Pride Month."
"Of course, its my first time. It's just… I'm afraid what people would think about me. What if society will never except me who I am? What if my parents disown me just, they did with Amelia?"
Without warning, a tear fell down her cheek. Sniffling as Luz gently places her hands on her face. Having her look straight at the Latina girl eyes. Her eyes are fall of warmth as she wipes the tear away with her thumb. Luz smiled as if a ball of light is seen through the dark.
"It doesn't matter what would people think. As long, you accept who you are, anything is possible." Luz spoke softly as she pulls Amity into a hug "When I told Mami about me being Bi, she actually supported me and told me as long I accept who I am as a person. She'll be happy as long as I am happy."
Luz words made Amity heart feel fuzzy. She wrapped her arms around Luz into a hug. Amity remembers when she met Luz. At first, she was nothing more but a nuisance. But after getting to know her when her sister Amelia took her to see Luz older sister Lucia more often. She can understand why Amelia would love a punk, rude, tomboyish girl. Even though they're always consonance fighting, they still love each other.
As Luz, kept hanging out with her, she helped break down the walls her parents had force to put around her. She kept wondering how could she fall for such a weirdo like her? It took awhile to figure that out. Luz is the most kind, gentle, loving person who loves Azura as much as she does. She never asks her out for prom, because of her fear being rejected. Yet in the end she had a dance with her. A precious memory she'll cherish forever.
Once Luz put on her Bi flag on her as a cape, she painted the Bi flag on her cheeks. Grabbed her bags, some money and lunches. She looks at Amity with a big smile.
"Ready to go? Lucia sent me a text earlier, telling me that she and Amelia going to meet us where the parade be taking place." Said Luz with Amity nodded happily.
"Ready as I'll ever be." Said Amity.
Luz took Amity hand and led her out the door. They ran to meet their sisters while holding hands. Enjoying the month of Pride Month.
Hope you all like this story. I hope Dana keep giving us more Lumity moments. Have a good month.
