I look at Mark who is still reading a couple of papers and I can't help but think about what he's doing, like it or not we have to work but no matter how long we doit work never seems to end.
If it's not having to meet with Itachi's parents so we can buy a lot of food from them so we can feed everyone, it's deciding if we should form another seal to speed up the restoration process so that we don't have to spend whatever money we have left on buying new materials.
"So what are you looking at?" I ask Mark
"It's the list of the orphans I'm trying to see if a couple of them come from bloodlines" Mark answers me before he puts the papers down and hands me on
I take the sheet of paper and I immediately notice the red lines he used to ark certain names.
'What are these?" I ask him
"I think I know why there are so many orphans" he answers me with a dark expression, as he hands me another sheet of paper this one, however, has names marked with a different color
"These are the ones whose parents gave them up, the reason doesn't matter, the fact is they have families that didn't want them" he hands me another sheet of paper and I can't help but raise an eyebrow.
"What's this?" I ask him as he hands me two more sheets of paper
"The first one list is a list of children that were born with certain traits that ake then stick out more, you know how Itachi and Hinata have their eyes and we have our elements yeah things like that"
"The second one was the children ninjas gave up, the one after that are orphans that are living in apartments on their own or in a group for one reason or another"
"And finally the last bunch I gave you are the names of regular children" Mark explains to me
"Okay, so what's with the stack next to you?" I ask him and I notice how quickly his expression darkens.
"These are all missing kids, I couldn't find anything. Hell Heku and the girls had their names listed as living in the streets, but these bunch, there's nothing, it's as if someone wanted them to vanish' Mark says to me
'And because they're orphans who is going to bother investigating their disappearance" I say to him
"Tell me the truth is this a good idea, I don't have to tell you everything we lack, but do you think this is a good idea?" I ask Mark who lets out a frustrated breath
"No, if you want me to be honest nothing makes sense anymore, we only started working because we wanted to take our minds away from everything, but now it feels as if we... " I watch as he struggles to put his thoughts into words
'It feels like if we're being traped by this place and we cant escape' I say to him and he just closes his eyes in response.
"Fine let's do this, whatever happens, happens," I say to Mark as I sign my name on the form Mikoto gave us, tomorrow Mark and I will go to the orphanage and pick up all of the exes' children.
"Let's take a break," I say to Mark as I walk out of the room and unsurprisingly I find Ana sitting outside
Mark immediately sits next to her and the three of us look at the quiet village.
I notice that our guards are standing nearby but they don't say anything.
"So David you have a thing for Hinatas nanny," Mark says to me with a teasing tone in his voice
"Yeah she's really pretty" Ana adds
"Hey I just said what I've seen," I say to them for a moment I weigh my option and I know this is going to come back and bite me but dam it if I can't help myself from playing at least a little bit
'Yeas she's hot, but have you guys sen those legs, come on back me up here" I say to the guard that's closed to me
"You have to admit she does have great legs" the man looks at me for a moment
"I'm sorry sir I can't" he tries to weasel his way out
"No, no you have to answer," I say to him
The man puts a hand on his chin " I have to say that she does train her legs quite well but her chest is lacking, I prefer a woman that is well stacked" he answers me
"How about you?" I hear Mark ask his guard who looks at him with wide eyes then relaxes when he realizes he has to answer.
"I haven't noticed, if I'm forced to be honest, Id have to say that her hair that's what I like most about her, a woman with great hair is someone that makes sure everything is well kept" he answers mark
"Hey, how about you two?" Ana asks the last two guards
"Miss Ana we shouldn't be discussing this in front of you" one of the men answer aAna but she just waves him off, causing him to give up his attempt to not answer her
'I...I like the way she takes care of the girl and can maintain the area they are both living in" he answers Ana
"Her cooking, the woman is a great cook, show me a woman that can cook and I'll show you a happy man" the last of the guard's answers ana without hesitation, the man has his priorities.
I can hear Innocentius let out a small grow.
"David, they're rats hiding," Mark says to me
"Yeah I know" I answer him
"Let them hide, it's better if they think we don't know they're there," I say to everyone.
And so the night passed and as usual, we got ready to go to school, except we would have to make one quick stop before going to the academy Mark went to deliver his copies to the council while I headed to the orphanage.
Thankfully neither of us had any problems and the receptionists just took the papers from our hands.
This time however we Ana went with Hinata but the two separated when they reached the academy, it was at the entrance that we found Ana talking with t the rest of the misfits.
"Why isn't anyone going inside?" I asked them
'The doors are locked" Ana answers me as a teacher walks out and begins to look around
"So it wasn't just yesterday, they're going to do this from now on," Mark says as he looks at the teacher walk away
"Well we don't have to worry about it, after all, we know that they're going to open the doors snd all we have to do is get in our classes before everyone starts to fight" I hear someone say.
No one answers considering that they're right, the only thing we have to do is be the first ones inside so we can void all of the fighting.
The door opens again and another teacher walks out.
"Flare" I hear Mark call out to flare and I briefly notice the elemental flash next to him before leaving his side.
Again the teacher leaves but this time the click that happens whenever the door closes didn't happen.
"Let's go," Mark says to us and we all run towards the door, as Flare opens it for us.
To our surprise, nothing happens and no one bothers trying to fight us, we're all soon standing in front of our classrooms and we're about to go in when we notice something that isn't right, the doors are locked.
"Lili" Ana says and Lili extends itself and begins to open the doors
We didn't do anything after that we just waited for the teacher to come in and as we listened to everyone else enter the school and rush to their respected classrooms, I couldn't help but feel that something wasn't quite right.
The third listened to the report nothing was happening with the boys except for their petition to take in several orphans, this action wasn't out of the ordinary after all a clan usually did this in an attempt to restore their numbers.
He could deny their petition of cores but for what reason, being unpredictable.
No, if anything the boys were entirely predictable, nothing they had done wasn't out of the realms f possibilities.
Even their burst of power that had happened yesterday was expected.
He agreed to allow their petition but he hesitated when he noticed one particular name amongst the group of orphans.
the council would have a problem with it, but what were his options, Naruto was still a member of the Uzumaki clan, which was a faction of the Senju clan, which meant that he would fall under Davids direct supervision.
Still for two boys to be working the way that they were and managing to maintain a working relationship with the Uchiha clan wasn't anything less than incredible.
"Perhaps its time that their loyalty is tested," he said to himself as he looks at the papers in front of him
Pining the boys against each other would only cause unnecessary damage to the village and making them face against members of the village guard or Ambu would only make the boys fester a greater resentment for the village a resentment that could easily turn to hatred towards the people that only manipulated them.
Unfortunately, the boy's actions are already causing an unnecessary rift between them and the rest of the village.
By publicly voicing his support for Fugaku, David had caused the Uchiha head to have a voice amongst the council, something that many were against, him having, and had made sure he couldn't do.
Yet with the boy's support, Fugaku had more than one vote in his favor, thereby allowing his choices to matter.
By restoring the Senju area they not only began to enact a needed change in the village, as such many are now turning to David for a chance to make a better life for themselves.
Unfortunately, the Uchiha as the boy's most trusted allies had been the first one offered these opportunities and creating a greater rift between the boys and the rest of the village.
Then there's the restoration of the farmland, while outsiders are usually untrusted, both David and Mark were surprisingly welcoming to the newcomers.
Yet the Hidden leaf is a village of Loyallist and as such the newcomers are seen with distrust by everyone else who isn't an Uchiha or the boy's parents.
The third had to admit that even he was starting to believe that both David and Mark could and would betray the Hidden Leaf if given a reason to.
Even Ana who was by for the calmest one of them seemed to only be loyal to Mark and David to a lesser extent.
"Itachi," he says to the boy who just entered his office
'I want you to test Mark and David, make them think that you are an enemy, choose any member of the Hyuga clan to help you" he orders the boy, and he can't help but notice that Itachi hesitated for a moment before leaving
The boy is a friend of the two boys but he is loyal and will do as ordered.

Hana listens to Hinatas maid and she can't help but smile as the woman tells her about the conversation she heard the night before.
"It seems he's finally entered puberty," the woman says to her, and Hana can't help but agree
"Perhaps the two of you should have an affair" Hana jokingly says to her friend but the woman doesn't take it as a joke
"Miss please f anyone hears you say that"
"I know," Hana says to her friend before taking a sip of tea
Davids's firstborn will be the next head of the Senju clan as Tsunade is well past her childbearing years.
"So tell me do you dislike the idea?' she asks her friend who just exhales and answers
"No"
Hana takes another sip and enjoys the sweet flavor for a moment before swallowing
"Why don't the two of you try to pass some time together," she says to her friend before taking another sip, the two of them may be friends but she has to think about the clan first.
Even if David rejects the woman in front of her, he nonetheless will be forced o keep her by his side, and thereby the Hyouga clan will have a hold in the Senju clan.
